10.1-Chaotic Introductions

The calm of the late morning broke the instant that the woman woke. The only warning of the coming chaos was the soft groan which passed her lips as the pain of her injuries crept into her awareness. When her eyes opened, they opened slowly - uncertainty. When she looked around the room, her gaze inevitably landed on an animatronic. Sun was the one who lingered the closest to her. Though she did not know it, he had tended to her throughout the night; making sure that she was kept warm and that she did not unintentionally agitate her recent injuries. The grip of slumber fled her body the instant that she spotted the semi-familiar animatronic. Semi-familiar in the sense that she recognized them from the night prior. Before the pain. Before she was suffocated to the point of fainting.

Her reaction was immediate. An incomprehensible noise rushed from her lips - a sound somewhere between a gasp and a stifled scream. She pulled her body backwards as if attempting to crawl away from the entity which nervously loomed over her. Her hand darted into the pillow that her head had been laying upon but a few moments prior. Upon withdrawing her hand she revealed a weapon - which she pointed directly at Sun. This was a weapon that the animatronics could not recognize; but it was a weapon nonetheless. Moon reacted in kind. A hostile shout burst from his voice box as he practically threw his arms onto the bed. This did nothing to reduce the tension of the situation. The woman had not even known that the nocturnal animatronic was there. Her focus shifted to him as soon as she had been made aware of his presence.

His open hostility certainly assured that she perceived him as a threat. She shifted the weapon to direct it at Moon, who only became more agitated in response.

"I strongly suggest putting away that contraband, before I make you." Moon uttered, practically snarling the words as his gaze focused upon the weapon held in the woman's hand. With a weapon in clear view, his security protocol had entered a full state of activation. Four pointed lunar rays emerged from within his head to display his increased level of alertness. Not that the woman had any means of knowing this. All she knew was that unfamiliar machines had somehow broken into her home only to attack her upon her return. She was rightfully panicked. Rightfully taking action in order to protect herself from what she viewed as an obvious threat.

"Come any closer and I'll shoot!" The woman blurted out in turn, shoving her body backwards. Her back was flush against the wall - but her body was twisted in an obviously uncomfortable angle. She could not put any weight upon her right arm. The pain of the previous nights injury effectively prevented her from being able to move it much at all. Sun attempted to move closer in hopes of de-escalating the situation, only for the weapon to be redirected back at him. He froze. Not out of fear for himself, but out of fear for her.
"I said stay back!" She shouted, the fear audible in her voice at this point. Assuming herself to be caught between two hostile machines, her aim moved from Sun to Moon multiple times in quick succession, before inevitably landing on Moon. He was being the most outwardly aggressive. She was clearly terrified. Clearly distressed. Both animatronics were being flagged by their medical alert systems in response to her behavior.

"Ma'am, please calm down!" Sun pleaded, attempting to try and calm the situation - though this attempt appeared to be futile. 'Calm down' was a phrase that rarely succeeded in de-escalating a situation. More often than not, the phrase alone appeared to make the situation worse.

"Calm down?! Calm down?! How do you expect me to calm down?!" The woman replied, seemingly attempting to drag herself further backwards. In reality she was attempting to properly sit up so that she could take better aim at Moon.
"I get home and there's two psycho animatronics in my house! You-you-you attack me, damn near kill me! Now you're in my room and for some fucking reason you were watching me sleep! And your buddy here is already threatening to come after me again!" She exclaimed, the words spilling from her lips in a frantic rush. All the while she continued pointing her unidentified weapon at Moon, who only crept forward slightly in preparation to swipe it from her hand.

"Language!" Moon warned darkly, not taking kindly to the fact that the woman had resorted to swearing in order to get her point across. His warning was responded to with the sound of an audible click from the weapon held in the woman's hand. She was absolutely preparing to fire it off.

"Come even an inch closer to me and I'll fry your system!" The woman threatened, her trembling voice hardening ever so slightly. The longer she remained in fight or flight mode, the more she began to shift towards trying to fight off her would-be attacker.

"With what~?" Moon inquired, his dark tone now containing some manner of mocking note to it. He did not perceive her weapon as a threat to himself or to Sun. Truth be told, their bodies had been made quite durable as a result of their upgrades. Such a small, hand held weapon couldn't possibly prove powerful enough to potentially decommission him.

"With about nine thousand volts." The woman replied after having taken a deep breath. Her reaction made it clear that she was now trying to steady herself. Now preparing to put what was apparently an incredibly high power taser to use. The response admittedly had Moon taken somewhat aback. Though, he still didn't perceive her weapon as a threat. For starters, he believed she was exaggerating the power of her weapon. If she somehow was not, then she was not directing the charge at anything that could be hurt. He could force his fingers straight into a power outlet in order to recharge. His body was almost entirely immune to the negative effects of electricity. So her little threat was viewed as more of a joke. As such, a sort of ominous chuckle escaped him.

"By all means, I could use some extra charge~ But just to be clear, if you pull that trigger, it'll be the last thing you ever do." Moon warned in turn, effectively daring the woman to attempt to harm him. That would honestly be all the excuse he needed to validate the need to get her dealt with. Sun, on the other hand, was not going to stand idle and allow these hostilities to continue to play out. He reacted in turn by reaching for his twin. He proceeded to pull Moon backwards, getting them off of the bed entirely. He hoped that doing so would at least make the woman more willing to listen to reason. He did not want her to get hurt. He did not want Moon to hurt her.

"Moon, stop!..." Sun demanded - not pleaded. His tone and his body language made it very clear that he was not making a request. He was telling his brother to stop - to stop making the situation worse. To stop making the situation more difficult than it needed to be. This rightfully caught Moon at least somewhat off guard - which helped him to recognize just how bad he had made the situation. While he had only meant to protect Sun, he had realistically made it more likely that they were both about to be decommissioned. Still, he reluctantly backed off; though his lunar rays were willingly retracted back into his head. With Moon seemingly backing down for the time being, Sun stepped in to once again try to ease away the tension.
"I am so, so sorry for all the trouble we've caused, Ma'am! We didn't mean for this to happen! I-if you'd just give us the chance to explain-" The daytime attendant began to offer a plea for forgiveness and for understanding, only to be immediately silenced as the woman slammed her hand against the bedpost. She did so with enough force that she legitimately hurt herself. She had slammed her hand down on a wooden edge and split the side of her palm open in the process. While Sun would have immediately set out to tend to the injury if allowed, he understood that he could not invade the woman's space further. She was scared, confused, and in a considerable amount of pain. There would be no helping her if he could not get her to trust him.

"Then explain." The woman replied, her words leaving her as a pained groan. Tears welled in her eyes as she stared at the animatronics. Given her extreme emotional state, it was unclear as to whether or not she was crying as a result of physical pain or as a result of being mentally overwhelmed.
"You broke into my home. You attacked me. Instead of playing it smart and getting the fuck out of my house, you stuck around, and threatened to attack me again. Whatever excuse you have, it had better be a good one." She stated, hissing out her words while clearly attempting to keep herself from bursting into tears. She wiped her cheek as a tear managed to escape the confines of her eyes, smearing blood upon her face in the process. Not that she noticed.
"I'm listening." She added, raising her voice ever so slightly in an attempt to sound stern. Sun and Moon shared an uneasy glance with each other as they contemplated their next course of action. Admittedly, neither of them had expected that she would actually give them the chance to explain themselves. Admittedly, neither of them were certain that they could explain themselves. But clearly they had to try.
