Say My Name Right
(Blitz x Stolas)
Disclaimer: I Do Not Own Helluva Boss
A/N: Takes place after Season 2, Episode 2.
Also, this story is the first time I've ever stepped outside of my comfort zone. But I have to say I'm pretty proud with how this turned out.
"Holy shit it's good to be home!"
The founder of I.M.P. stretched his arms above his head as he exited the portal that opened into his office as his employees welcomed him back. It had been a long, emotional fucking day and all Blitz wanted to do was kick back and sleep the rest of the night away.
The imp glanced back over his shoulder and watched his beloved daughter step into the building accompanied by Stolas and Octavia. Being the glutton for punishment that he was, Blitz opened his arms and ran towards the hellhound. "I'm so sorry Loonie! Please don't-...!"
But, like before, he was greeted by Stolas's Grimore getting smashed into his face, causing him to fall onto his back.
"I already told you, you're fine! Ugh!"
After moving the book from his now bruised face, Blitz couldn't help but smile like a goofball when he saw Loona's happy expression. He knew he had fucked up as a dad today and he made a promise to himself that he would do anything in his power to make it up to her.
Standing next to her father, Octavia giggled at the scene before her. Although she found it odd that an imp adopted a hellhound to begin with, their "abusive" dynamic was kind of cute and definitely entertaining. The young owl smiled over at Loona's direction who returned the gesture followed with a thumb's up. Even though this was the first time meeting the older woman, Octavia was grateful for the pep talk. With everything that was going on between her parents, it was a relief to hear she wasn't alone in this world. Feeling a hand upon her head, she glanced up at her father.
"Are you sure you're all right, my owlette?" Stolas asked softly.
"I'm all right, Dad, I promise." She threw her arms around the prince who returned the hold a bit tighter than he probably realized he did. The hug ended as the royal owls overheard the married imps approach their boss.
"You should probably put the book away now, sir." Said Moxie. "And maybe change the code, too."
"Hey who's the boss around here?" Asked Blitz, holding the Grimore tightly in one hand. "I tell you what to do cause that's what I pay you for."
"Well sir," Moxie replied with annoyance. "Unless you want another repeat of today, which I'm sure no one does, I suggest you change the code otherwise we'll wind up right back where we started."
"And I suggest you stop barking orders with your baby dick-...!"
"Blitz."
Upon hearing his name from the tallest voice in the room, Blitz glanced up at Stolas and sighed. "All right already, I'm going!"
He's so stubborn, thought the owl who smiled as he watched his lover walk into his office and quite enjoyed the view before the door closed. "Via, would you mind giving me a moment before we head home?"
The young girl smiled and nodded. "Sure, Dad."
Stolas gave his daughter a quick kiss on her head and proceeded to follow after Blitz.
Once the office door was closed behind him, Blitz let out a sigh and ran his hand down his face. How did all this even happen? One minute he was trying to have "The Talk" with Loona about her attitude and then the next they were chasing Stolas's runaway daughter topside in Los Angeles. His tired feet carried him behind his desk where he pushed aside the I.M.P. family photo to access his safe.
"Might wanna change the password, my ass." He whispered, mocking Moxie's words. He hated it when the fucker was right. Placing the Grimore back into the safe, he stopped and hovered his fingers over the pin pad. Guess having the code be something as stupidly simple as one, two, three, four was a bad idea after all. He knew the new code would have to be something a bit harder but something he could trust someone like Loona with should something happen, like when him and Moxie were captured by the agents of D.H.O.R.K.S.. Cursing silently to himself, he punched in four new numbers and closed the safe, replacing the portrait that he rested his head against.
Today was too close of a call. What was he thinking? He could have lost Loona, the only family he had left. Sure he considered the M&M's to be family but Loona was his adoptive daughter. She could fight him tooth and nail about how it was just a piece of paper and how she was almost eighteen when the adoption happened but nothing would change how Blitz felt about her. When his anxiety took over on the sitcom stage and the memories of how she looked in that shelter came flooding back, he knew he had to take her in. Even though he wanted something that would be family friendly, something about Loona that day struck a cord within the hired killer, something he would never admit out loud.
Although he didn't know what happened between her and Octavia, that didn't matter. Loona managed to calm down the young owl and reunite her with her father and now all of them were back in the proper hellhole. Even with all the attitude she gave him, Blitz knew he could count on his daughter, like always. And yet here he was trying to tell her she needed to change. Pot meet kettle much?
Speaking of owls, Stolas had been right by his side all day, even after those stupid humans mistook him for some stupid human actor. That perverted bird even encouraged Blitz to get back onto that stage and perform when the anxiety got the better of him. He even enjoyed watching the imp and genuinely laughed just like when they were children. He did all that while in his human form with limited powers while being worried about finding his daughter.
A whisper of, "what the hell..."slipped from Blitz's lips.
Why? It's not like they were anything more than fuck buddies once a month on the full moon. As Blitz himself once said, it was merely a transactional fucking. Stolas got what he wanted so Blitz could get what he wanted to run his business – nothing more, nothing less.
So why did Blitz feel so fucking grateful that Stolas was there today? He had the same feeling when the bird brain rescued him and his crew from the human agents and then fucked his brains out to show his gratitude.
But today was the first time they had spoken to each other since what happened at Ozzie's down in the Lust ring. That was just pure Hell, which was ironic. If Blitz hadn't opened his fat mouth when Moxie was getting bullied by Asmodeus and Fizzarolli, then him and Stolas probably could have gotten away unnoticed. But then again, none of that would have happened if he hadn't called Stolas to begin with because his dumb ass was way too determined to stalk the M&M's boring monogamous marriage.
And of course the drive to Stolas's palace was just as nerve wrecking and awkward. Common sense told the imp that all the owl wanted was to just spend real time with him after the horrible evening they had. Hanging out without any benefits was something they had done several times before but that night would have been too much for the imp. So why? Why was Stolas acting like he had real feelings for someone that fulfilled his kinky bird fantasies?
On top of the increasing headache plaguing Blitz's temples, his brain decided to throw out yet another observation about the sexually frustrated owl prince – he never once said Blitzy. Sure the imp constantly complained about the stupid nickname ever since this fucked up relationship began but for Stolas not uttering it once? Yes the situation with Octavia was far too important but there were several moments in the day where Stolas could have slipped the nickname in. Why was Blitz even thinking about this for? Why did he give a fuck? He hated it being called Blitzy so being called his actual name should have been a relief.
Blitz banged his head against the portrait, cursing as his head met the wall. He didn't even hear his office door open and close behind him.
"Blitz?"
It had only been a few minutes since Blitz had gone into his office but when Stolas walked in, it was like he caught his lover deep in thought as he banged his head against the wall with a string of profanities, causing the prince to worry.
"Are you all right?"
It was obvious the owl caught the imp off guard but Blitz played it off.
"I'm fine." He responded as he moved away from the wall to the front of the desk, hopping on top of it. He was still wearing the clothes from the human world but Stolas didn't mind. As much he preferred his lover's usual get up, he couldn't fight back his imagination from wanting to rip those clothes off to find the treasure that lay beneath. "If you're worried about the book, it's back in the safe now. And yes, I changed the code so you and Moxie can get off my dick about it."
"N-No, that's not why I'm here." Stolas saw Blitz's brow rise and, knowing his imp's lack of patience, started to find his words. "I just wanted to thank you. For today, I mean. If it wasn't for you, I never would have been able to find Octavia."
"Technically Loona found her."
"True." Stolas smiled. "I'm grateful to you both." He started to fidget, going between rubbing his hands together and rubbing the back of his neck. "I've been so caught up with everything with Stella that I... I completely ignored my daughter. I will forever regret that. She was looking forward to this day for so long and I let my emotions get the better of me because of her mother." Stolas knew he was just rambling now, especially with how quiet Blitz was, but he knew his lover was listening. "If you hadn't called me to tell me she had my Grimore... I don't think I would have noticed she left. So... thank you. For everything today."
Stolas's red eyes watched Blitz take his turn to fidget. "Y-yeah sure. No problem."
He loved him. He knew he shouldn't but he loved the imp before him. Blitz didn't have to tell him anything about what happened but he did. He didn't have to go to the human world to help him find Octavia but he did. Yes, I.M.P. knew more about the human world than Stolas because that was the whole point of the business, but they could have left the owl prince on his own. But none of them thought twice about jumping into the portal. He had such deep feelings for Blitz that he didn't know what to do with them, let alone know what to do with himself. After all, when all of this began, it was simply favors for favors, to quote himself. It was never meant to get this far. But before he knew it, the prince of the Ars Goetia had actually fallen in love.
Not actually being able to fully remember when the event at Ozzie's took place because of the alcohol blackout he put himself in, it felt like weeks since Stolas had seen or heard from Blitz. Even their usual once a month rendezvous was put on hiatus. He had been so caught up in his own head, and caught up with emptying whatever bottles of Absinthe he could find, his pent up emotions were getting the better of him. And now that he finally discovered his back bone, dealing with Stella gave his temper an out, which hurt his only daughter in the process.
"Well, I should probably get Via home." No matter how strong or powerful he was, Stolas couldn't contain how much he didn't want to leave. But things were still awkward between them after being in the Lust ring and this quiet moment between them proved it. Yes they needed to talk about it but after everything that had happened today in the human world, and how uncomfortable Blitz currently looked, placing that talk on the back burner was where it would stay for the time being.
"Good night, Blitz."
"...zy."
As he turned to leave, Stolas picked up a quiet sound behind him. Confusion set in as his body half turned and his bright crimson eyes saw a faint blush across Blitz's cheeks.
"Did you say something, Blitz?"
He watched as the imp's eyes kept darting around the floor, pink becoming more obvious on his red face. His lips moved but Stolas couldn't make it out so he turned fully and walked over to the desk.
"Could you repeat what you sa-...!"
Without having the time to blink, Blitz had grabbed a handful of his tunic and pulled him to eye level, Stolas's hands landing on each side of the imp's body to keep himself upright. The sound of his heartbeat echoed in his ears as he forced a lump down his throat, his face burning up as if with a fever.
"I said say my name right." A growl vibrated from Blitz's throat and Stolas liked it. He knew he had quite the vivid imagination when it came to his lover but actually hearing it caused the shivers to skyrocket up his spine.
"I-I'm sorry?"
"I was under the impression you preferred to call me Blitzy."
His heartbeat picked up in volume. "I-I thought you hated it when I called you that."
The imp was fighting with himself, that much was obvious. And as much as he knew he shouldn't be, Stolas was getting his hopes up. He knew he had been calling his lover by his actual name for some time now, mostly since what happened at Ozzie's, but he thought it was what Blitz preferred.
"I-I do. B-But..." Blitz stuttered, his grip on the tunic still strong, his red eyes darting around for a second before meeting Stolas's pools of scarlet. "Just fucking say it already."
Stolas couldn't fight the smile that curled onto his beak. If this was all some sleep deprived fantasy, then he would let it all play out and enjoy the moment.
"Blitzy."
The smirk that came upon Blitz's face, the deep chuckle from his throat, how close their faces were, Stolas had forgotten reality. This is another reason he loved this imp – how absolutely powerfully dominating he was.
"Say it again."
"Blitzy...oh!"
His right hand was suddenly lifted and placed on something long and hard and it didn't take a genius to figure out what it was. The heat that had pooled on his face had now flown across his entire body, his hand fitting around the form it was on, causing his lover to suck in breath through gritted teeth.
"Say it again for Daddy." That growl again. Stolas moved closer to the face that he loved, mere centimeters separating them.
"My big dicked Blitzy."
Mouths were locked and tongues wrestled for dominance as moans filled Stolas's head as his hand moved outside of the imp's pants. It may have been a pair of human pants but they absolutely suited Blitz. Their mouths would only part for a second for air, giving Blitz the opportunity to grip the back of Stolas's head before locking back on, the atmosphere thickening with sexual tension. As much as he would have loved to go inside the pants and put that wonderful erection deep down his throat, in the back of his mind, Stolas knew this moment couldn't last. As much as it killed him, he tore himself from those sweet lips to see the adorable frustration on Blitz's face.
"If you want to finish what we started darling, you know where to find me."
He knew teasing the professional killer wasn't the smartest idea as he pulled away completely and stood straight up, but he couldn't help it. They still needed each other, after all, in more ways than one. There was no doubt in his mind that they would pick this back up very soon. He walked to the door and placed his hand on the knob and glanced over his shoulder. Blitz's pink cheeks matched his shirt and his very obvious erection was clearly straining against the jeans. Oh, how he wished he could stay.
"Good night, my dear Blitzy."
Not even a minute later, there was a knock on Blitz's office door.
"Sir?" Moxie. That was the last voice he wanted to hear right now. "The prince and his daughter just left."
"That's fine Moxie!" Blitz snapped with a frustrated sigh.
"Hey! What was that for?"
"Calm down honey." Came Millie's voice trying to calm down her husband. "It's been a long day for all of us so why don't we go home and get some rest?"
Blitz was grateful for the silence that filled the office. He was now in his chair dealing with the stupid problem in his pants. Images of what just transpired between him and Stolas were locked into his mind for reasons he couldn't figure out. What the fuck was wrong with him? He could feel his hard on twitch against the stupid human jeans and knew he wasn't leaving until this issue was solved.
"You know where to find me darling."
Stolas's words came back and as much as Blitz hated to admit it, the offer was fucking tempting. Their full moon rendezvous was supposed to have happened the week prior, but due to the events at Ozzie's, without talking to each other, it was postponed. So now it was a decision between taking care of this problem with his own hand or dominating a thirsty owl.
The imp chucked at the thought as he glanced at the portrait that hid the safe. It was just a matter of time now before he had to admit he changed the password to the last four digits of Stolas's phone number.
