"Are you sure you want to go into that town of all places?"
"Of course. I mean why not? I'm itching for some excitement. What's so wrong with going on a trip?"
"Yeah, I don't think someone of your stature should visit a like this. But it's your funeral... but a word of advice? I'd hide those valuable earrings, brooch and crown if I were you. This is literally a town of rouges, muggers, and thieves. Someone might mug you for them… or worse."
"I'll make note of that."
"Alright, don't say I didn't warn ya!"
The ship turned around a la flipping around like paper and took off, leaving none other than Princess Peach alone… well, she wasn't really alone, she had Toadsworth for company.
"That's quite the story he's told us." Toadsworth said as they walked off.
"Yeah." Peach nodded. "But, I'm not worried about it."
Toadsworth sighed. "But I am… oh, sometimes I wonder if hanging around Princess Daisy is a good idea."
"Oh come now, Toadsworth… we're practically sisters!"
"I know… you two sure act like sisters at times. It's just that I can tell she's rubbing off on you." Toadsworth said.
Peach giggled. "You say that like it's a bad thing."
"Mmph… it's just that sometimes she be very influential on you." Toadsworth muttered as they walked into the center of town. "Goodness gracious!" He exclaimed. "They have a public execution here?! My word, this town is unsafe!"
"Goodness!" Peach exclaimed.
"…Let us go to the Inn for a bit, then find ourselves a better place than this!"
"You'll do that. I'm going to explore the town for a bit."
"What?! Absolutely not! Did you not hear what that man just told us?!" Toadsworth exclaimed.
"I can handle myself you know. No need to worry about me." Peach winked.
"The last time you said that something horrible always happens... And this town lives up to its name!" Toadsworth muttered. "Oh, who am I kidding… you get your headstrong personality from your mother." He said.
"My mother was a very strong and wise leader, and so was my father." Peach sighed. "It's a shame they're not around very much."
"Indeed... bless their souls... Oh if only they listen to my words and take breaks, sleep, and let us take some of the work off of them, they still would be around..."
"Yup." Peach nodded. "But even so, I learn my parent's mistake. And I know they're watching over us from above."
"Indeed…Well, I'll be heading to the Inn and making the reservation. Please be careful..." Toadsworth said as he head to the Inn while Peach hummed to herself, looking around the lawless town of Rogueport.
"Excuse me, miss!" A voice said, catching her attention as she turned to see a merchant. "Would you like to buy something? I have some pretty interesting items~."
"Oooh, what do you got?" Peach asked.
"Let's see, I got some fine lamp, this vase... Ooh and this one is my favorite." She said as she pull out a Moon Stone. "I got this special stone that said It came from the moon itself."
"Oooh~"
"And I got this..." She then picks up... an odd rag doll? "Odd... looking doll?" She wondered before something snatch it away. "What the?!" She and Peach turn and see a Mimikyu rag as the Mimikyu growls before it slaps the Merchant. "Oof!" Then ran off.
"You okay?" Peach asked.
"I'm fine. Wait, where did that thing come from anyway?" She muttered. "Now let's see... Oooh~" She pulled out some kind of small treasure chest. "This right here… is one of a kind. It's said to hold a legendary treasure map, which is the key to find some legendary treasure! And only a pure and noble soul can open it. But that's just nonsense because I couldn't open it without the key, minus the treasure part."
"Legendary treasure?" Peach looked intrigued. "Hmm, interesting…"
"It's only a measly two coins."
"I'll take it."
"Excellent choice, my dear." She said, handing over the treasure chest as Peach opened it up, and a bright light consumed her.
"Oh my!" She exclaimed.
Meanwhile... in Erebonia...
"Yo, hey there Rean." Lechter said as he approached him in Thors.
"Oh, Lechter... What brings you here?" Rean asked
"Well, it's work-related actually. And this one involved you too."
"Me?" Rean sighed. "I'm guessing it's another imperial order?"
"Afraid so. Let's talk somewhere private." Lechter said as he and Rean headed to Rean's dorm room. "Okay, here's the situation. Someone infiltrated the RMP and stole some important information related to our neighboring nations. We need you to get it back."
"Even though it's was just a few days I've returned from Erebonia from the Northern War?" Rean sighed
"Yeah, sorry to hear that. But what can you do? But the Chancellor will give you credits if you succeed. That way, your absence won't harm your academics."
"I don't have much of a choice." Rean sighed as he took the paper. "Order accepted."
"Good to hear it. I'll go inform the principal. Oh, and the perpetrator is somewhere in the Mushroom Kingdom." Lechter said.
"The Mushroom Kingdom?" Rean asked in surprise.
"Yep. According to what we found out. They're somewhere in some place called Rogueport. My guess is it's a town filled with... rogues. So good luck with that."
"I see... all right. I'll be off..." Rean said as he begin to pick his things.
"Oh, one more thing. Altina will be your partner as well. And there's no airport in Rogueport either. So you'll have to take you there by boat in the Mushroom Kingdom. Altina will be waiting for you at the station." Lechter said as he left.
"I see... thanks for telling me." Rean said but too late. "The Mushroom Kingdom... I wonder how everyone's doing..." Rean wondered and then he pack up his suitcase again and then sighed. He begin to change his uniform into his traveling clothes like he wore in the civil war. He begin to head to Trista Station and then there he see's Altina.
"Rean Schwarzer." Altina called out to him.
"Hey Altina. Guess we're partners again." Rean said with a smile.
"So it seems. Our destination is within the Mushroom Kingdom borders."
"That's right. Although the place we're going is a new environment to me. I don't think I heard of Rogueport name before... but considering it's name and Lechter's guess... It's a town fill with thieves. We should be careful."
"Understood. Let us be off." Altina said and then she begin to head to the ticket booth with Rean.
A few hours later... and in the Mushroom Kingdom...
(Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door ost - Mail for the Mario Bros)
Parakarry flew over to the mailbox and put a few letters in the mailbox of the Mario Bros house. "Mail call!" He called out to them and flew off.
Luigi walked out, where he went out to the mailbox and pulled out a letter, seeing one addressed to Mario, noticing it was a pink envelope. "Ah, Peach sent him a letter." He said as he walked in. "Hey bro! The princess sent a letter to you!"
"Oh?" Mario walked over to him and took the letter from Luigi as he opened it.
"Dear Mario, guess what? I'm on vacation and decided to travel around the Mushroom Kingdom! I am sending you this letter from a faraway place known as Rogueport. And guess what when I was found during one of my travels? A mystical treasure map! I got it from a merchant that said the box that contains it was supposed to be open by a pure and noble soul. She was shocked that the chest actually opened. But anyway, I decided to send you the map. It's inside the letter. I thought that maybe you and Luigi can go on a treasure hunting adventure with me! I'll be waiting for you in Rogueport and since I am inviting you both, that means you MUST come! I'd be lonely without you both. See you soon! Love, Peach."
Mario put the letter down. "The princess is inviting us to Rogueport to go on a little scavenger hunt."
"Really? A treasure hunt?"
"Yup."
"All right! It was so nice that I got invited!" Luigi smiled
"Let's-a go!" Mario said as Luigi nodded and they took off.

Meanwhile... at the Toad Harbor...
"Hmm... where should I go?" Wondered Levi who is wearing his traveling clothes like he did with the civil war. He wears a White shirt, over a silver vest, a large navy blue jacket with two pockets, and two pouches. He wears a lavender choker He wears black trousers and leather lace-up boots. Then he begin to approach the Toad. "Excuse me."
"Hmm? Oh, hey Levi! What can I do for you?" A Toad asked
"I'm looking for some adventure. You know, exploring the horizon. Any suggestion?"
"Hmm... Adventure... Oh! How about Rogueport?"
"Rogueport?"
"Rogueport isn't exactly a faint of the heart. It's filled with thieves, rogues... hint the name Rogueport." The Toad explained
"Interesting... Mind if I go there?" Levi asked
"Knowing you can handle yourself, sure, Let me prepare things and see if anyone else wants to come along. Climb board." The Toad said as Levi hop in. As the Toad begin to prepare. Anyone wanting to go to Rogueport? It's quite the adventure! Any takers?" He spoke up and then he heard footstep and see the Mario bros. "Oh, Mario, Luigi! What brings you here?"
"We want to go to Rogueport." Mario answered
"Really? You two?"
"Peach told us to meet her there." Luigi said.
"Princess Peach? Oh wait... I did send her there... in that case, climb aboard!" The Toad said and then Mario and Luigi climb aboard. Once they are and setting in. "Anyone else want to go to Rogueport? This is your last chance!" He ask and no response. "Welp, time for-" "Wait!" Toad heard a voice and turn and see Rean. "Oh, Rean! Nice to see you again!" Then see Altina. "Who's this?"
"This is Altina Orion. She's my partner on a mission."
"Nice to meet you Altina. Wait... Orion? Like Millium? You two related?"
"We're sisters... in a sense." Altina answered
"In a sense? I won't ask for details but you two want to go to Rogueport?" The Toad asked
"Yeah, we have a mission over there." Rean answered
"Well you're just in luck, come aboard." The Toad said as Rean and Altina climb aboard. "Okay, guess that's everyone!" The Toad said as he begin to prepare to take set off.
As Rean and Altina went to find a place to look around...
"No way! You guys are here too?" Rean heard a familiar voice.
"Nice-to see you again, Levi!" Rean heard another familiar voice.
"Those voices...!" Rean said, hurrying to the direction of the voices and then found them in the main lobby.

"Mario, Luigi! I haven't seen you guys for months! How are you guys been?" Levi asked
"We certainly been well! You look taller now Levi." Luigi smiled. "And it looks like you extended your hair a bit."
"Hehehe. Yeah, I am. I'm looking more of a man." Levi chuckled.
"I'll say." Mario nodded.
"Mario! Luigi, Levi!" Rean called out to them as he ran towards them.
"Rean!" The trio called to him.
"It's so good to see you again Rean!" Levi cheered and then hug him.
"Whoa, hehe!" Rean chuckled and then hug back. "It's so wonderful to see you again Levi... have you grown taller? You look like you have. You got a lot handsome too."
"Hehe. I could say the same to you." Levi chuckled as he let go of the hug and then Rean hug Mario, then Luigi.
"It's been almost a year as well, Rean!" Mario smiled. "What brings you guys here?"
"We should be asking you that." Rean chuckled. as Altina appoached them.
"Altina?!" Levi blicked.
"Wait... isn't she the girl back in that Imperial Villa?" Luigi asked
"She is. Well, let's go find somewhere else. I'm sure we all have a lot of talking to you." Rean smiled
"We sure do..." Levi smiled and then they felt the boat move.
"Attention all passengers, we are now disembarking to Rogueport. Enjoy the ride!"
Rean, Levi, Altina, and the bros look out and see the ship moving as they leave the Mushroom Kingdom to Rogueport.

"So you're on a mission from the Imperial Government, huh?" Levi asked as they were all gathered in Levi's room.
"Yeah. The mission was to find the culprit who infiltrated the RMP headquarters and stole some important information about Erebonia's neighbors. Though I'm not sure who but... the mission is a mission..." Rean explained. "Honestly, I never thought I see you guys again."
"Us too. You change a lot." Mario nodded
"Rean. are you certain it's a good idea to tell them about the mission?" Altina asked.
"Yeah, it's fine. They can keep it a secret. You can trust them." Rean said
"Hmm..."
"So Rean, are you okay with how things are doing?" Mario asked.
"Yeah, It's for my own benefit after all." Rean answered
"If you say so... Still... I heard the news you just got back after the Northern War. You should be at least relaxing but instead... I swear that son of a..." Levi muttered
"It's alright. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. But what brings you guys here?" Rean asked.
"Well, for me, I expanded my horizon as I explore Erebonia for a bit. After that, a bit in Liberl, Crossbell when that annex happened. And in Calvard. And go back to the Mushroom Kingdom and search for other places I haven't explored."
"How did you managed to get into Calvard?"
Levi chuckled. "Let's say I have my ways. Still, I learn a lot from all the nations through tour guides... and encounter problems along the way. A self-improvement and a better understanding of the world and its people."
Rean chuckled. "So that's what you been doing. Still, it makes me happy to hear everything is going well for you."
"Yeah. As I came back to the Mushroom Kingdom to explore... I heard about Rogueport and decided to go on the adventure and see for myself."
"As for us. Me and Luigi got invited by Peach to go on a scavenger hunt." Mario said.
"Scavenger hunt? Like treasure hunting?" Levi asked.
"Oh yeah. Peach send us this map and we're going to meet with her." Luigi said as he hands over the map as Rean and Levi look into it.
"Whoa... the map looks ancient indeed. Yet... I've notice a trace of magic within it." Levi said
"Really? The map has magic?" Rean asked.
"Yeah. This is no ordinary map either. With the magic enchanted with it, I say there's something special about it." He explained before let out a chucked. "Oh this sounds fun! Oh, is it all right if I join you guys?"
"Sure, the more the merrier!" Mario nodded. "What about you Rean?"
"To be honest. I would love to go on the adventure but..." Rean sighed.
"Oh right, you're mission..." Luigi sadden.
"Actually, this might work in both of our favors." Levi said.
"What do you mean?" Mario asked
"Well, if you think about it, Rean's mission is to find someone right? Which means he has to explore some places. But at the same time, the Marios Bros and myself will also explore Rogueport. And since this is a new environment and we have a map..." Levi let out a grin to see if anyone is getting to what he said.
"Oh, I get it!" Rean chuckled. "Yeah, we can get around and do all three things at the same time. In that case, you can count me in." He said. "Oh, Altina, you okay with it?" He asked as he and the others turn to room where Altina was looking at the stars.
"Hmm... I have no interest in this treasure hunt you were discussing... However, your proposal is agreeable at some extent. Very well. At long as we find our perpetrator then I will cooperate in this treasure hunt." Altina answered.
"She sounds mature... or a robot." Luigi whisper to Mario who nodded.
"Then it's settle. Let's get some sleep and then meet up with Peach." Rean nodded as he smile as everyone nodded for the treasure hunt.

"Rean? Reaaaaaaan?" Levi shake Rean's shoulder gentle.
"Mmmn... Is it that time already?" Rean groan
"If you're referring to the academy like our school days then no. I meant Rogueport. Look!"
"Huh?" Rean rub his eyes and then look outside and see Rogueport. "Oh, I see it!"
"..." Altina yawned as she woke up in her stealth costume.
"Morning guys..." Mario yawned as he and Luigi see Rogueport.
"All right, Time to depart!" The Toad captain exclaimed
"Wait, when did you get here?!" Rean exclaimed.
"He was the one who woke me up." Levi explained.

The ship docked at the pier.
"So, If I may ask… why do you want to dock here? I have told you about the perils of this place, yes?" The captain asked.
"Yeah, but we're here looking for a friend." Mario said.
"We're on a mission here." Rean added
"And I'm journeying with them and exploring my horizon." Levi smiled "We can handle ourselves."
"Well… All right. I'm won't be stopping you for your occasion. Just be careful!" The captain told them as the ship flipped around and took off.
"I'm suddenly having second thoughts on this place." Luigi said.
"You always do." Levi sweatdrop.
"So this is Rogueport." Altina look around. "It certainly looks like an environment for thieves."
"Yeah. Well, we should get going." Rean said as they walked off.
"GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU CREEP!" A voice yelled.

"Huh?" Mario turned his head with the others to see a pink Goomba with a hard hat and ponytail running away from some fat lookin' creep with two guys in red and white uniforms behind him.

"Don't you play dumb with me! I know you've been walking around for the Crystal Stars since you were asking for information about them! Now tell us what you know the Crystal Stars are right NOW!"
"As if! Like I'll say anything to a bunch of creeps like you!" She exclaimed
"Ooh, so you wanna do this the hard way then. Fine by me! If you don't wanna talk, then we'll force you! Men, Let's take little firebrand to the fortress!"
"Right away, boss!"
"Get away from me!"
Without a second thought, Mario and the others sprang into action while Altina just watch.
"Alright, what's going on here?!" Rean asked.
Immediately the pink Goomba turned around and immediately ran toward them. "Like I'll go anywhere with you freaks!"
"And what do you think you fools are doing?! Getting in the way of my plan?!" He asked
"Okay, we don't know what this plan of yours is, but when it comes to you guys harassing the poor girl-" He and Rean pulled out their weapons. "-This is where we step in."
"Ha! You think you can scare me because you have weapons? Well I have weapons too! And I'm gonna give you old CRUMP-A-BOMB!"

"Here it comes! The Crump punishment!" He exclaimed as he ran over straight to Mario, but he pulled out his hammer and hammered him away over to Rean.
Rean prepared the Battoujutsu stance and let out a powerful slash, knocking him toward Levi who glaive swirled and imbues with light, then launch a cross attack and knock the fatass over to a wall, knocking him out already.

"Well that went over quick, I didn't even do anything!" Luigi sighed.
"Why are you complaining when I was just watching." Altina asked as she join in.
"Lord Crump, you okay?!" His minion asked.
"I'm fine..." Crump growled. "But these guys ain't no pushovers...I think it's time to call in some backup." He said and then suddenly they were surrounded by tons of his men.
"Where did these guys come from?" Rean asked
"Alright boys...PUNISH THEM!" Crump ordered as they charged after them.
"Oh geez!" Luigi exclaimed.
"I got it." Levi said as he snap his finger and a green magic circle appeared and a tornado around them, sucking up Crump's men and blow them away, sending them everywhere.
"Come on, this way!" The Pink Goomba exclaimed as she took off as they all followed her.
"You'll pay for this!" Crump exclaimed. "Someday, I will get you!" He growled as he notice a large shadow grow larger around him. He look up. "...Ah crud..." And his men crumbled onto him.

"Phew, thanks for saving me back there. That guy was a total creep!" The Goomba said.
"No problem." Mario nodded. "I see your magic has improved, Levi."
"Hehehe, well traveling isn't the only thing I've improved." Levi wink.
"I'll say, you definitely look like you got a lot stronger." Rean nodded
"So who are you guys anyway?" She asked.
"I'm-a Mario!"
"I'm-a Luigi, number one!" Luigi smiled.
"My name is Rean Schwarzer." Rean introduce.
"Levi Sullivan." Levi smiled
"Altina Orion." Altina answered.
"Oh. My. Gosh. You're… YOU'RE THE MARIO BROS AND CLASS VII?! Oh my gosh, I'm such a huge fan! I'm Goombella, a second year student of the University of Goom, studying archaeology!"
There's a Goomba university? Huh… Levi thought.
"Wait, where are the rest of your classmates?" Goombella asked
"Well, they all graduated while I decided to continue my study." Rean explained.
"Just to be clear, I'm not afflicted with Class VII." Altina corrected.
"You're not? But you said your last name was Orion."
"Yes, but the one you're thinking about is Millium. My name is Altina, as I mention."
"Oooh... right. I didn't know Millium had a sister." Goombella said.
"In a sense." Altina said
"What?"
"Long story and it's complicated." Rean said.
"Gotcha." Goombella said. "So what are you guys doing in a place like this?"
"Well for me, I wanted to explore, expand my horizon and understanding of the world, the people, and get stronger." Levi said.
"Me and Altina are on a mission." Rean said
"And we're looking for someone when we ran into them and decided to party up like we use too. Maybe you've seen her? She gave us this map." Mario explained as he pull out the map.
"Oh? Let me take a look…" She said as she takes a closer look and examine it. "Oh my gosh, this is an actual real treasure map! How did this person get their hands on this?!"
"Well, you see-"
"Great hoggly-boggly, if it isn't Master Mario and the others!" A voice exclaimed as Toadsworth walked up to them.
"Toadsworth? Long time no see! What are you doing here?" Levi asked.
"Well, the princess and I were here to rest up so we could go on exploring around the Mushroom Kingdom. I was making reservation in the inn… and after I was done, she up and vanished! This is exactly what I was afraid of every time."
"I'm sure she's fine." Mario said, hoping that Peach was actually alright.
"Well, yes… but the problem is, this town is known for its, shall we say… hooligans." He said, and right at this moment, some yellow Piantas came charging out of the alleyway and started beating up on two unsuspecting Craws, and one of them went down.
"Gah! Bro, are you okay?!"
"Oooogh…"
"Da boss sent his regards!" One of the Piantas said and then they took off.
"Bro, get up!"
"Ugh… we won't forget this… and next time, we'll splash you with sewer water so bad that you will smell horribly for eternity!" He declared.
"Yeah, and we'll rearrange it with a ball of garbage!" The other exclaimed and they took off.
"I rest my case." Toadsworth said. "Now, I advise you all to be careful in this city while looking for Peach. Who knows what trickery will happen… and as for me, I'll be resting up in the inn waiting for the princess's return. Good day!" He said and walked off.
"Wait… Peach? As in Princess Peach? Oh, that is so awesome! I can't wait to meet her." Goombella said. "So wait, hold on…She was the one you were looking for and send you the map? And she was waiting for you here to look for some legendary treasure?"
"Yes." Mario nodded.
"…Alright, that settles it. I'm gonna be sticking with you."
"You are?" Luigi asked.
"Yup!" Goombella nodded.
"Well, welcome aboard to our little adventure team Goombella!" Levi chuckled
"Thank you!" Goombella smiled. "Oh! I think I know someone who can help with the map. One of my professors is here researching that map. Professor Frankly. If anyone knows about the legendary treasure, it'd be him!"
"Great, so where is he?" Rean asked.
"Yeah… I'm not sure where he is. I actually just got here." She said
"Hmm..." Levi look at the area. "Maybe we should try the west."
"Sounds like a plan. Let's-a-go!" Mario said as they started to walk over to the west side… but unfortunately…
"HALT! You shall not take another step!" An old Toad woman stopped them.
"Why not?" Luigi asked.
"Because… I dropped my contact lens and I can't find them anywhere! Do not move, you hear me!"
"How do you lose your contact lens in the middle of the street?" Rean asked.
"Don't ask me how! I'm still looking… do not move an inch!"
All of them stood there while the old woman was still looking… and eventually, they got bored.
"I think it's best that we go to the east instead… This is getting nowhere." Levi said as he turned around and started to walk… and they all heard a crunch. "Ah crap…"
"…That wasn't the contact lens, was it?" Rean asked.
"Let's hope it's not..." Levi said and lifted his boot to see… a crushed contact lens. "Double crap..." Levi sweatdropped.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" The old woman screamed. "MY CONTACT LENS! I TOLD YOU NOT TO MOVE AND NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!"
"Hey, that was an accident! How was I supposed to see it?"
"And I told you not to move! Are your ears working!? Or are you deaf?!"
"Was that an insult?" Levi asked with a tick on his forehead.
'Uh oh...' The trio gulped while Altina and Goombella look confused.
"Who's fault was it who step on my contact lens?"
"And who's fault was it that dropped them?"
"Don't you dare change the subject! Ooh, you're lucky I can't see! If I had my contact lenses, I'd be kicking you in the shin! But no...I can't see jack!" She growled.
"And if you do, I'll self-defense and I might break your bone." Levi said with an intimidating aura.
"You would harm an old lady?! You're no different than a ruffian!"
"Said the old hag who fail to take responsibility for her carelessness."
"My carelessness?! What about your carelessness?!" She growled and then ran over to the west entrance. " You wanna play that game, then fine! From this point on, NO ONE is allowed past this point! No one goes in… no one goes out until I get a new contact lens… and the one who stepped on it has to pay for it!"
"Mama mia, you can't be serious!" Mario exclaimed. "It was an accident! You're just overreacting!"
"Overreacting? I'm not overreacting. If I was overreacting, I'd step on someone's belongings! NOT blocking off the entrance! This is justified!" She declared, causing everyone to facepalm.
"I have a better idea." Levi forward his hand and cast magic.
"Wait Levi!" Rean exclaimed but too late and cast his magic onto the old hag.
"Do your... wor...st... *yawn*" She yawned and then fell on the floor and sleep.
"There. Let's get her into the house and place her there." Levi said as he pick her up. "In addition, I'll ask the shopkeeper and order two contact lenses."
"Well her house is by the entrance to the west so no need to worry about looking around." Goombella said.
"She certainly was a selfish person." Altina said.
"Who lost their contact lens in the middle of the street?" Luigi asked
"And who is she anyway?"
"That's Zess T. A famous cook in Rogueport… and quite the feisty one." Goombella told them.
"You know her?" Levi asked.
"I know everyone." Goombella said.
"I see... still, I was expecting you would harm you because we know what happens if someone really upset you Levi." Rean sweatdrop.
"Hey come on! Sure I can be dark if someone pisses me off but even I have standards. She was just pissing me off, that's for sure." Levi pouted. "It's her own fault that she lost them in the first place." He said as they enter her house and place her on her bed.
"That Zess T. for you. She's always a stubborn one and holds grudges so don't let her get to you." Goombella said as they exit the house and walk over to the item shop.
"Excuse me, do you have any contact lenses?" Rean asked
"Contact lenses? No, not at the moment. Do you need one?" The Shopkeeper asked
"No, but the old lady name Zess T-"
"Zess T. again?" The other Shopkeeper sighed. "This is the seventh time this happen."
"I swear that woman... but that does explain her annoying screaming. She should really watch where she's going."
"And what she's doing. Do you remember that time Zess T sat on her own lens?"
"Let's not forget she drop them after cooking."
"Sounds like she's very clumsy." Levi whisper to the group and nodded
"We'll have to order one so It'll take a while." The Shopkeeper said.
"Can you order two, I'm gonna pay it to make sure has a spare."
"You got it. Sorry for the trouble she cause."
"It's no problem. Let's hope she doesn't look it again." Levi said as they walk out and head east... and when they did, a Bandit came running by and ran through Levi.
"Hey!"
"Whoops, sorry sucker!"
"Watch where you're going!" Levi said as he felt his pocket. "Wait a minute… That son of a- He stole my wallet!"
"Ugh! I hate this town… pickpockets everywhere!" Goombella exclaimed
"Be right back." Levi said as he got his Glaive out and then he zoomed
In the Bandit's hideout...
"Now let's see here..." The Bandit look at Levi's Wallet. "Oooh~ This guy is loaded! Wait, what's this case? Oh, it's Mira! Damn, I guess pretty boys really are loaded!"
"Hey." Levi's voice said as the Bandit turn around and see Levi's intimidating aura and his Glaive ready with his smile so innocently... except he's not.
"Yipe!" He yelped. "How did you find me!?"
"Let's just say i'm very fast." Levi smiled. "So... are you ready to die?" He asked, ready his Glaive.
"W-W-Wait! You can have it back! HAVE MERCY ON ME!" He screamed as he tried to run but Levi snap his finger and use magic to block the door.
"Oh... I'm fresh out of one." Levi said ready to strike.
"AAAAAAAH!"
Then Levi strike through the bandit and knock him out unconscious. Then he pick up his wallet.
"The next time you rob someone or one of my friends, I will not hesitate to strike you down permanently." Levi chuckled as he leave the bandit hideout and then return the others. "I'm back."
"Got everything?" Goombella asked.
"Yep. So where's your professor?"
"I think Professor Frankly is in… this building!" Goombella said, entering the building with the others. "Hey Professor Frankly!" Goombella exclaimed.

(Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Professor Franky's Theme)
"Huh? Wha? Whuzzuh? Who's there? Who wants me?" Frankly asked as they walked up to him. "Wait, I know you… hmm, let me think for a second… it's not Goomdora… it's not Goombriel… Uuum... UUUM... AHA! You were one of my students! Goombella! From my archaeology class last year!"
"Yes, that's me!" Goombella smiled.
"And these fellows behind you are…" He got a good look at them. "…Who?" He asked as Mario and Luigi anime fell.
"I'm actually not surprised he doesn't know us." Levi said.
"Agreed." Rean nodded.
"Oh come on, professor! This is Mario and Luigi, you know, the famous plumbers of the Mushroom Kingdom? And these two are members of Class VII! And this is Altina."
"Mario and Luigi? I only know a Mario… if there was a Luigi, he would've been out of Mario's shadow!"
"Here we go…" Luigi sighed.
Frankly laughed. "I'm just kidding, my boy! I know who you are, no need to be all sad… but Class VII? Isn't that the name of a classroom? Why do they call themselves a classroom? Who are they anyway?"
"Not sure about the name but Class VII is a group of students who now graduated from a military academy called Thors. They become celebrities of the Mushroom Kingdom." Goombella said.
"Really! Is that right? Intriguing…" Professor Frankly mused. "In any case what brings you all here in a place like this?"
"Well, we were all hoping you'll tell us about the legendary treasure here below Rogueport. And I thought that if anyone who knew about it, it would be you." Goombella explained.
"Of course I do. It is the very reason why I am here… to study that very subject! And I'm assuming you all want a piece of the action since it is treasure, yes?"
"Well some of us actually, we got other agenda." Rean said.
"I'm only tagging along to expand my horizon." Levi added.
"Even though it's just a fairy tale?" Professor Frankly asked
"I don't care if it's just a fairy tale or not, archeologists and historians always look out to discover the truth… and frankly, I know deep down that it is real!" Goombella said.
"Excellent… so do I! There are a lot of theories about this ancient legendary treasure. For one, some say it's an infinitely vast treasure hoard. The second is said it's a magical item. Some say it's a monster-" He said, causing Luigi to turn pale. "It could hold absolutely nothing either. There's this one theory that it holds an artifact or a relic from ancient times."
"Wow. So many theories." Rean rub his chin. "It's impossible to tell which one is true."
"However, one thing is for certain, in order to get to the legendary treasure, one must have the Crystal Stars!" Frankly said.
"A Crystal Star?" Levi asked
"Hmm… if I recall correctly from my notes: 'To find the treasure of yore, take the seven Crystal Stars to the Thousand Year Door.'." Goombella recited. "You mean that old saying from the elderly folk that keeps passed down for years?"
"Precisely. You must find and take the seven Crystal Stars to the Thousand Year Door." Franky nodded. "Continue."
"Hold the Magical Map aloft before the entrance to the Thousand Year Door. Then the stars will light the way that leads to the stones of yesterday." She continued and then stopped. "From what I've read up on the lore, if one were to hold the magical map to the Thousand Year Door, it'd show you the location of the Crystal Star."
"Correct! And legend says that the Thousand Year Door is below this very town! Unfortunately… the critical piece of the puzzle, the Magical Map, is lost. Without it, we can't get to the treasure."
"Oh, about that! Mario and friends have it!" Goombella said
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!" Frankly yelled. "Homina homina homina! D-Do you really have the map? The very map we are discussing?!"
"We do." Mario nodded and handed it to him.
"EURIKA! THIS IS IT! IT'S THE LEGENDARY MAGICAL MAP! You, my friends, are my heroes! Let us go to the Thousand Year Door!" He said as he ran out.
"Hey, wait for us!" Goombella exclaimed as she and the bros follow him.
"Altina, I've noticed you haven't been talkative." Rean said.
"Should I be allowed to discuss?" Altina asked
"I'm pretty sure you can. I don't see why you stay silent." Levi said. "Honestly, it's surprising that i'm talking to you like we're not enemies anymore."
"Well that's all in the past now. So come on, let's go." Rean said as he head out.
"You heard the man Altina." Levi said as he and Altina follow.

"Here we are!" Frankly exclaimed as he opened up a gate. "This way!" He said as they all jumped into the warp pipe leading to the sewers.
(Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door ost - Rogueport Sewers)
Mario was the first one out and then looked around the sewers as everyone came out. "Huh… this is interesting." Luigi said.
"Huh... I thought this would lead to the sewer... but instead, it's the ruins." Levi amused as they started to walk ahead.
"Heeeey! What's a good looking Goomba doing here down?" A voice asked as they saw a Goomba, Paragoomba and a Spiked Goomba approach them. "Why don't you come hang out with us instead? We'd be a lot nicer than those human freaks."
"Wow, I am so flattered that you think of me like that." Goombella said. "Seriously, I'd rather BARF than hang out with creeps like you!"
"Ouch, that was cold!" The Spiked Goomba exclaimed.
"That's it! Nobody messes with us! COME HERE!" The Goomba yelled and they charged right at them.
Rean pull his Tachi, then he use his Gale Craft onto the goombas, strike through them and knocked them out.
"No fair...we weren't ready..." The Goomba groaned.
"Well let this be a lesson to you. Never pick up on a girl just because she's cute. And never insult her friends while you're at it." Levi said with a grin on his face as they go ahead deeper into the sewers after riding a platform to a warp pipe and went deeper, where they were ambushed by another trio of Goombas, where they took care of them easily and they found a Mushroom and a Fire Flower in two ? blocks and went down another warp pipe.
As they went into the other room, they saw a small creature seeing them and scurrying into a little hole in the wall.
"What the heck was that?" Levi asked.
"That's a good question."Luigi said before they notice a huge block. "Hey Mario, can you break that huge block?" Luigi pointed.
"I can try." Mario said as he pulled out his hammer and hammered the block, but it didn't even leave a dent. "It's not working."
"Hmm... Allow me." Altina said. "Claiomh Solais!" Then her combat shell appeared
"Good gracious!" Professor Frankle exclaimed as Claiomh Solais let out a strong swing of it's arm and as it exploded and sent mini blocks everywhere and squishing two Spinias.
"Mission complete." She said as she noticed that the block was hiding a spring. "Hmm? What's this?"
"A Spring? Oh, we can use this to get above." Levi said and then they hop onto the spring and got across the upper area. Then they walked into the next room.

(Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door ost - Hall of the Thousand Year Door)
"Incredible." Frankly said. "Look. At. THAT!" He exclaimed. "That… that is the Thousand Year Door!"
"Whoa..." Rean said in awe.
"It's huge!" Levi remark.
"That is a very large door." Altina amused. "This is the legendary door you mention?"
"Yes! It's the legendary Thousand-Year Door that is recorded in legends! I cannot believe it's real! The legends are true! Ahaha! What a great discovery! Come, let's have a closer look!"
They begin to take a closer look and then examine the legendary door.
"The design of this door is intriguing... I definitely should take a picture of this." Levi said as he pull out his Rotom Phone and take a picture of it and then the area. "Hmm... a door this big definitely leads to something."
"Yeah, but what exactly?" Rean asked as Goombella was the first to notice the pedestal.
"What's with the weird pedestal?" Goombella wondered as they examined it closely while Rean, Altina and Levi examined the door, and when Mario stepped on the pedestal out of curiosity… the place started glowing.

"What's going on?!" Luigi asked as they all turned to the source where the ground lit up and surrounded the pedestal.
"This is peculiar!" Frankly exclaimed as the map emerged from Mario's pocket and flew up, as a light hit the map and glowed brightly… where the map lowered itself back down to Mario and he took a look, where everyone took a look… to see a castle popping up over the mountains, where a Crystal Star appeared in front of it.
"Did that castle pop up on its own?" Rean asked.
"So I was right. This map is enchanted with magic. Ohoho! Emma is so not gonna believe this!" Levi chuckled.
"Hmm… let's go back to my study where we can look at this in greater detail." Frankly advised as they nodded in agreement and took off.
Welcome one and all to Trails of Paper Mario The Thousand-year door! One of my favorite games and stories since the Gamecube! Ah... partners back then was so good... hard to believe it was so long ago. Anyway, the next adventure is Petel Meadow!
