Part 2 - News And Reactions
The next day, Hermione and the boys aswell Ginny was down in the Great Hall for breakfast, when owls were coming in with the newpapers in their grip, and Hermione then took a chance to look up towards the teachers table and saw a new face by their Potions professor, that she didnt recognise, but shrugged it off for now, as she took her Daily Prophet, and gave the owls some treats and pat on its head, before it flew away.
Harry and Ron had not subscribed to the papers, so they with Ginny were looking at her, as Ginny said
"So what does the papers say?" But before she could say or tell them, gasps of shocks and outrage were heard around them, as one of the Slytherins said
"Draco looks like your cousin was never convicted nor guilty of his crime."
Draco's shocked gasp then yelped for the person to give the papers to him thanks, and the said person did so, and Hermione only had a small grin on her face at this point, hiding it by the papers over her face, as Draco's voice then was heard to be said;
"Sirius Black was yesterday brought in after others found out that the real traitor of the Potters was verita serumed and told the aurors and the Minister of Magic himself of the real truth, and when Sirius Black found out that this had happened, he himself turned himself in, and was potioned by the Verita Serum, and the full scope of the truth was heard finally. Sirius Black is right taking steps to gain custody of his god-son, Harry Potter aka the Boy-Who-Lived. More on Peter Pettigrew on page 2, More on Sirius Black page 3 etc."
He was rather shocked, but pleased for his mother had always wanted to see him freed, and now that he was, she would be able to have contact with her cousin. Harry on the other hand was shocked and pale-face of what he had heard Draco say. Ron frowned and wondered of what had happened to this.
Draco then went forward onto the page of Sirius Black, and read on;
"Sirius Black, age 34, pureblood was never convicted of what the crimes were towards him, and he is looking for restutions to become a citizin again, during this he will also fight for custody of his god-son, Harry Potter, as wished by the Potters. He also going to re-instate Andromeda, Nymphadora and Ted Tonks, Andromeda was a former Black, and her sisters on the other hand will still be in the family except for Bellatrix Lestrange, who was guilty with her husband and two other Deatheaters of what they did to the Longbottoms. Sirius Black is as sane anyone due to using his Animagus form in the prison to keep his mind sane and clean. When he left, it was not for Harry Potter, but Peter Pettigrew, who was acting as an rat, on none other Ronald Weasley's shoulder after his family won gold last year."
Many were in shock of what been said so far, and Ronald had only anger and was also pale at the same time, while Percy and the twins were pale and in shock of everything that they had heard so far. Percy said
"Your cat's behaviour, that is why he was acting like that towards Pettigrew's form?"
Hermione nodded, as she said
"Yes, and after a few weeks of this behaviour, I went to the library and found out why or what might cause him to act like it, more than just acting as a normal cat would do, and when I found out that, I went to McGonagell with what I thought was going on with Crooks and now known Pettigrew, and she took action after a while of observing it too in secret. Both her and Professor Dumbledore then decided to take actions on things, and now you all know what happened after that."
Hermione said as in a small white lie for now, and Albus and Minerva both just nodded accepting that small white lie too for her own sake, as Ron then yelled at her
"YOU ARE THE ONE WHO TOLD ON MY RAT AREN'T YOU, DID YOU TELL THEM ABOUT THE BROOM TOO THEN?!"
Hermione just turned away at this point, feeling alot more hurt than angered or whatever, and now Harry too went on yelling at her, and all too soon a voice that none knew who he was said
"Now calm down, Hermione did nothing wrong in this, as she was worried for your sake, Potter, and Weasley, not everything is about you either. Your rat was never Scabbers, it was Peter Pettigrew, now stop your shouting at your supposed friend and grow the hell up already. (Turning to Hermione, he said) Are you alright, Hermione?"
Hermione looked at him, and gasped that it was the same person who had sat by Snape's side, and just nodded her head, as she said
"Thank you for defending me, uhm?"
"Oh I am Seth Swan-Snape. Son to your potions teacher and late Isabella Swan-Snape."
Hermione gasped while the others too did, as she shook then his hand in her own, and the two smiled gently. Severus seeing this, smiled softly as he knew his son had found his soul-mate in Ms Granger, and it pleased him at least it was her of all girls here.
Ronald and Harry both were in shock and gapping at the two, and Ginny looked furious all the sudden, and stared at the two in disdain, as Hermione said in lower tone;
"Nice to meet you, Seth." And with that he too grinned, while Ronald now yelled;
"YOU ARE FUCKING SNAPE, GET AWAY FROM HERMIONE." Hermione shook her head, and said
"You are not my father nor a boyfriend, Ronald, and I wouldnt even let you decide for me who I am friends or friendly with."
Ronald just gapped at her, so did Harry and Ginny who shared a look of disbelief, as ROn said
"Of course you are my girlfriend, Hermione, you said yes last week afterall."
"I never said anything of sorts to you, for I don't even like you in that way, and besides your manner and treatments toward me this past year has been awful and made me re-live that day in Charms in our first year, when you cruelly told Harry and the other boys that I have no friends, no wonders I am a nightmare. No wonders at all why I dont even like you in that way, and NEVER will either. You are too lazy to think for yourself and do your own homework in your own handwriting. Well good luck for I give up, and will NOT help you, Harry or Ginerva for you want to do something fun or adventures. Well no more, boys. And Ginerva you can stop drooling as I don't even think you are in the league of Seth's. And aren't you lusting for Harry?"
Many gasped of her words, while Ron just glared so did Harry and Ginny flushed red at her words about her. Hermione shook her head at this, and turned to Seth, and said
"Don't mind these childish idiots, Seth, if they want to act like that then that is on them. I am not their keeper or whatever anymore."
Seth chuckled at this, and then he said
"For your information, Weasley's, Potter, I am from America and have been living since birth with my mother's father, as my mother sadly passed away shortly after my birth. My granddad, Charlie Swan, took good care of me, and accepted me when my letter to Ilvermorny came, and I was in the house of Horned Serpents, which stands for those who favours scholars, like your house of Ravenclaws does. My father and I got in contact last year, and have been keeping contact since then, and today was my first visit here after graduating from Ilvermorny with high grades. Not that it is any of your businesses as you clearly states you wont be friends to a Snape, well if you got rid of such behaviour, you might find to have more friends than those closest to you, but sadly it seems you are too idiotic and possessive to find others than Potter boy and your little sister who clearly has issues on what is real and not real in this world. Now, why dont you show me around, Hermione?"
Hermione gave a smile and nodded, as she stood and took his out-streched hand in hers, and they were off. Severus was proud of his son's taking on this matter, and how kind he was too. Others sat reeling of things that taken place. Draco rolled his eyes, as he too could seen the looks that Seth had given Granger and he liked her too in secret like a sister or something like it.
