Musutafu city, Japan
Time: 13:15
The city of Musutafu, Japan was well known for many a things across the world... for one, it had the best hero school and course in the entire country, U.A. High. Another would be its extremely high crime rate... well, at least since All Might retired that is.
Since the number 1's battle again the villain known only as All for One and his inevitable retirement, Japan had been thrown into what could only be called the beginning of a dark age. Villains running riot, heroes quitting left, right and centre and civilians becoming more and more restless by the day. Endeavour may be one of the best heroes, but his no All Might, a symbol of hope and peace that put all at ease with a smile beaming on his face.
Yet, through the darkness a small beacon of hope shined through... a thorn in the villain's side that seemed to counter them at every twist and turn... Class 1-A, U.A. High's newest batch of hero students.
Class 1-A, in their short time at the hero academy had been through a lot, to put it lightly... the U.S.J incident, Stain, Wolfram, the Forest training camp, All for One's appearance, Overhaul and Nine, all foes and situations a class of teens should never have been able to overcome without help... yet they did, usual sending the villains packing. Most of the time, this lucky, skill or down right stupidity could be narrowed down to three students in particular, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki and of course, Izuku Midoriya, the problem child.
Known as the next big three, these students in particular had a high tendency for getting into trouble but also being able to get out of it. The worse offender would be Midoriya, the boy who seemed to be a danger magnet. He single handily took down villains like Muscular, Overhaul and Flect Turn, stopped disaster from befalling the world time and time again... and he wasn't even past his first year yet.
Then, there was the second highest achiever in the class, Katsuki Bakugo, the explosive hot head with a temper and quirk to boot. His ego outshines over heroes like Endeavour, Hawks and All Might, but for good reason... with the help of Deku, the duo were able to beat Nine into the ground, the closest powered villain too All for One himself to this date. Skill like that put him at the top, and he sure as hell knew it.
In fact, said hero in training was currently out on a patrol, chasing a villain across the towering city of Musutafu at high speeds.
Prologue: Divergence
High in the sky above Musutafu, Katsuki Bakugo flew with his explosions, dodging side to side as the villain before him continued to fire upon him with a... glue quirk?
"Just give it up already, you extra!" Shouted Bakugo in his usual cocky tone. "Ya don't stand a chance again me, D-tier scum!"
With a blast from his gauntlets, Katsuki launched forward, grabbing the villain by the arm. In a fit of panic, the glue villain fired a rope of his glue at the ground, pulling himself and Bakugo towards it at high speed. Seeing this, Bakugo braced for impacted, taking the brunt of the landing on his gauntlets, which exploded on impact.
The huge blast shook the street, the very tarmac beneath them caving in from its power. Taking the momentary blindness to his advantage, the glue villain made to get his getaway, rushing off down into the tunnels under the city.
Another explosion sounded off, as the smoke cleared around the blonde hero. His red eyes sharpened as he launched off after the villain once more. His explosions became hotter and hotter as he sped up, blasting from wall to wall as he darted down the winding tunnels.
"Damn it..." Katsuki stated in his mind. "I can't let a villain escape on my first solo patrol! The damn Deku didn't... I won't fall behind him!"
With a roar of anger and determination, Katsuki shot off a nearby wall at sonic speeds, darting down the tunnel into a nearby room. At its centre stood the villain, frozen in... fear?
At this, the hero in training came to a grinding halt, giving the villain a look of confusion and annoyance.
"Giving up already extra!?" Katsuki asked with a cocky chuckle, walking up to arrest the villain.
As he got closer, Katsuki finally got a good look at what the villain was staring at. There, at the very back of the cavernous room, sat an ancient looking structure. Across it were different indents and patterns, all made the same Techno glossy material. The rest of the structure was formed from some kind of stone, taking the form of a giant chair.
The strangest part about the structure, however, had to be the feeling it was giving off... a warning of fear and terror. Almost as if it was trying to drive you away from its very being.
Of course, Bakugo being Bakugo ignored all the warnings, physical and mental, deciding to walk up to the structure to get a closer look. As he got closer, the feeling got worse, like every bone in his body was telling him to turn back. To stay away from this ancient chair looking thing.
Bakugo suddenly let out a hiss of pain, clutching his foot. Somehow he had just bashed it off something large and clearly heavy, if the pain he was now feeling was anything to go by. Bending down, the blonde hero came face to face with an strange sight.
Before him sat a stone gear of some kind, glowing blue lines of energy pulsing along its structure. It felt warm to the touch, something that made Bakugo brush his hand against it lightly. He looked up, surprisingly light gear in hand, staring up at the chair like structure once more. Funnily enough, directly at the bottom of the chair was a slot in the shape of a gear.
"This is clearly a trap of some kind..." The blonde mentally sighed, walking closer to the gear hole.
With a huff, Bakugo slotted the gear into the ancient structure, waiting for something to happen. The sound of stone shifting rang throughout the room, making both occupants jump in shock. The structure suddenly jumped to life, its Techno looking material jumping to life with surge of red, pulsing energy.
"S-screw this man!" Shouted the glue villain, taking off down the tunnel.
"No you don't, you damn..." Katsuki shouted as he went to give chase...
Only to find he couldn't move. His body was frozen in place, the same red energy surrounding him in a binding embrace. Bakugo tried to force he way out of its grasp, feeling his feet being dragged across the ground, towards the structure. As he got closer, the energy became more violent, pulling him harder towards it.
"What... is this!?" Was the only thing Bakugo could shout, before he was sucked into the portal gateway, it snapping shut behind him.
An eerie silence filled the room, as the cyberspace portal shut down, once more going completely dormant.
With a scream of panic, Katsuki appeared once more on the other side of the portal, face down into the rocky surface. He slowly climbed to his feet, eyes filled with rage and anger as explosions popped and sizzled in his palms. He looked around the area, seeing nothing but rocks and darkness... the sky lined with the same red energy he had seen on the portal before.
Bakugo straightened himself up, body and brain on high alert as he surveyed the area. Like before, there was another one of those... portal gateways sitting behind him, towering over his being with an intimidating presence.
"All right... if this is another one of the League of Villains tricks, I'm going to lose it!" Bakugo growled out, marching away from the portal. "Show yourselves, you cowards!"
Within an instant, portals of red cyber energy began to form around the explosive blond. From them appeared tall, intimidating chrome robots, red pyramid like eyes glowing menacingly. Their arms were long and sharp, as well as their legs, creating an almost starfish like look to them.
Bakugo smirked in excitement.
"Ah, an ambush, eh?" With a swing of his arms, Bakugo clashed his fist into his palm, creating small explosions in the process. "You're funeral..."
One of the soldier bots leaps from its position, charging towards the blonde hero in training, arms raised to strike. Adjusting his feet positioning, Bakugo stared down the deadly bot, pulling his fist back. With one punch from his explosion powered fist, the robots face was reduced to scrap metal, sent flying across the now battlefield.
Another bot launched at the hero, speeding around to try and get a clear shot. Bakugo, predicting this, leaped up into the air before launching back at the bot, landing a deadly explosion to the top of its head, driving its body into the ground. Back flipping out of the attack, Katsuki landed in a combat pose, a wild smirk covering his twisted face… finally, a chance to let loose!
Bakugo continued slashing and blasting away at all the robots, sending high into the sky or crashing into the ground. More of the black chrome machines appeared before the explosive teen, outnumbering him ten to one. With a scream one rage and fury, Bakugo smashed both his fists into the ground, causing a massive crack to form along the cliff line. The bots rushed the boy, trying to escape the falling floor beneath them, but Bakugo didn't let them escape. All but one of the bots fell to their fate, crashing into the cold, hard rocky surface below. The lone bot that escaped tried to regain its balance, only for Bakugo, who smirking like a madman, to throw a rock at its head, sending it to the fate of its fellow bots.
Cleaning his hands off with a grunt, Bakugo turned back towards the portal, marching his way toward the frame.
"Is that all you got!?" He shouts into the sky with a roar, letting off explosions around his very being. "Whoever is behind this better show yourself now! We'll settle this in a fight… and when I win! You'll send me back home, got it!?"
This time, Bakugo seemed to receive his answer, as a looming shadow appeared overhead, blocking out the moon lit sky. Turning is confusion, his eyes went wide as saucers, staring at the colossal titan like robot that towered before his eyes. Its three massive legs/arms loomed over the teens head, putting him on edge. The same glowing red energy emitted from the machine, its massive structure pulsing with ruby light.
Before the bot floated a figure, a young humanoid girl to be exact. Her figure was frail and skinny, with almost snow like skin that reflected in the moon light. Her short white hair pulsed with the cyber like energy, similar to the rest of her body, which was covered in pitch black clothing. By far her most striking feature of all, however, had to be her two, glowing ruby eyes, piercing straight into Bakugo's soul. From her body, a purple red aura radiated, giving off a presence of power and intimidation.
Bakugo, in a moment of hesitation, began slowly backing away from the clearly enraged girl. His body was trembling against his will, refusing to cooperate with his want to fight. With a sudden surge of red energy and a flashed of white light, the world tumbled into darkness for the young hero, as he fell to the could hard ground unconscious.
Hours later, with pain shooting through his forehead, Katsuki awoke from his slumber, eyes heavy and drooping. Blinking rapidly, trying to focus on the area around him. Finally, the world stopped spinning and his eyes could focus… although, he now wished they hadn't.
Around him was nothing but sand and rocks, miles and miles of the same terrain tinted red by the glowing crystal-like container he was currently trapped inside. The sky was bright blue, not a single cloud in sight. For miles, ruins spread out across the dusty desert… if it wasn't for him being trapped, Bakugo would have honest enjoyed the view.
"W-what happened?" He questioned to himself, voice sounding distorted and fuzzy. "More importantly, where am I?" He went to place a hand on the glass like structure of his prison, only to freeze in shock… he was see through!
Glancing down at his body, a few things immediately became clear. One, he was way shorter that he was before, probably around one and a half times the Grapeist's height now. His hands and feet seemed bigger than before, his hero costume resized to fit his new frame. His body seemed thinner than before, taking one more of a slim frame. Weirdest of all was his body was now covered in a blonde fur, a similar shade to his hair.
Speaking of his hair, it felt spikier and sharper, almost as if it could cut through steel. Plucking a single strand of hair from his head, Bakugo was surprised to find it wasn't hair at all, but rather a quill of some kind, looking vaguely similar to a hedgehog quill. Confused, the blonde soon released that his ears were atop his head. A puff of spiky white fur covered his chest, just below his muzzle. On his back, similar to his hair, were more spine like appendages, two to be exact, a sharp, hedgehog like tail sat at the base of his spine.
Most importantly, out of all the changes his body had gone through, he was now almost completely see through. His body glitched and jolted, almost as if it was not entirely intact. His mind was in a similar state, broken apart and scattered, unable to focus on one single though.
Panic and terror began to set into the young hedgehog's mind, as he grunted out in pain. He roared into the sky, tears like from his eyes at the world faded around him.
Floating in his cell, Bakugo was frozen in a never-ending state of pain and torment, scream out for help that would take a long time to arrive. He could not move. He could not see, smell or hear…
But he could feel the pain all the same.
So, this is a story I had recently uploaded onto Watt-Pad and wanted to test it out on there before I post here. Mainly because of the limited time I have had recently has caused me to not have time to finish off my other stories... college comes first sadly. Anyway, hope you enjoy this random, confusing story!
