Part 3 - Hermione and Seth Talks
After they had walked out of the Great Hall, he brought her down to his father's quarters, and let her in. Then they sat at the fire, and she said
"Why did you bring me here, and where is here?"
"This is my father's private rooms, he won't mind us being in here."
"Oh, uhm what are we doing here then?"
"I need to tell you something that I didnt to tell the whole entire school off, as it is sensitive but also not anyone business unless family and friends that I can trust."
Hermione nodded but looked confused, as he then said
"My mother was a Native American woman, and with her hertiage came a bloodline thing, and due to that and my magical blood from my father, I imprinted on you."
"OK what is imprinting and what are you?" He chuckled, then said
"I am what most would say a Shape-Shifter, I was part of a tribe by mother's bloodline, and through her she gave me the powers to shift forms, especially to a Wolf big as a house. And Imprinting is what we as wolves find our true mate, but it doesnt have to be lovers right away, sometimes it begins as friendship, then see where leads the two involved."
"Oh. So I am your perfect match in a sense then?"
"Exactly. My dad knew this about me, and was able to accept that, and when he saw what happened back in the Great Hall between the two of us, he too accepted the fact you are my true mate and match."
Hermione smiled, then said
"I am not against it, as I dont think I could even decline or refuse you, Seth, but we dont know each other, and I am also just 16, not 13 like most would believe due to being in my 3rd year, but all this time I have been using a time-turner and due to that I am older than my peers, even Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley, is also why I would never date either of them or other boys, as they seems to care about girls' looks and whatnot. So I accept, but could we start as friends?"
"Oh of course, I am just happy that you accept the bond so far. And don't worry, it will due course of becoming more than friends. As it should take time to come forward."
"Sounds like you know what that is about."
"I do somewhat, one of my ex-pack members imprinted on a baby and another on a toddler, and it became more of brother and sister before when they were old enough to become friendship and later lovers. I know weird as hell, but it worked out in the end."
Hermione nodded, and then smiled, as he came over to her side, and held a friendly arm around her shoulders, and she leaned her head onto his shoulder for now. Soon the door opened up, and in came Severus, who saw them and just gave an small inclining smile, and sat across of them, and he said
"So you told her then, Seth?"
"I did, and she accepted it too, dad." Hermione flushed, but smiled, as so did Severus, as she then said
"Uhm if you don't mind me asking, but when did you have Seth and why was he not with you and Isabella?"
Severus sighed, then said
"It is not something I am proud of but Isabella and I were not mated or soulmates, more of an one-night-stand together, and when she later learned she was pregnant from that night, she tried to get in contact with me, and soon I got an owl, International Owl at that, and in it she told me she was pregnant, and wanted to know what I thought of it. And at first I was not angry or anything like it, but scared out of my mind, as I didnt know how to be a father. So I told her in a letter back to her, that I would support her and our baby, but I couldnt come and live with them. And Isabella and I met later that month in person now sober, and we sat down and discussed the baby and everything with it, and her father, Charlie, Seth's grandpa, was also there to witness our talking, and he too came with ideas, and it was also him who said if the horrible was to happen to Isabella, then he would be the one to bring the baby up, as you know my past, Ms Granger, I was not able to bring my son up as I did want to do. So when Isabella died few months after Seth was born, his grandfather, Charlie took custody, and I in turn would send money to help him out alot through the years."
"And when I was around 13, grandpa sat me down and told me about my dad here, and at first I was shocked, but also angry for where was he all this time, why couldnt he be here too, and when my grandpa told all the reasons why, I understood, and it was then I wrote my first letter to my dad, and it took some time for him to answer back due to being International and I think you were in shock of me contacting you. And with some time and letters back and forth, he came for a visit last year, and we spoke and I decided to give dad a fair chance and earlier this week, I told him that I was coming for a longer visit, and see where he works at. And the rest you know what happened after that."
Hermione nodded, then said
"I am so sorry for your both losses of Isabella, she does sound like being an amazing mother and person. And Charlie being a great grandpa too to you, Seth."
Seth and Severus both just smiled and nodded in thanks, as Seth said
"I will always remember her due to all photos and talks about her, but I even sometimes wished she was alive and I could talk to her about things that Mothers only does."
Hermione giggled, but nodded at that, and Severus just smiled sadly at that and said
"Seth, I need to ask you, if I was to find a new woman, would you?"
"I would accept it, as it has been years since mom, and she wouldn't want you to be all alone after all this time, she would want you happy, dad."
At Severus smiled softly, but said nothing else. Hermione squeezed his hand, and said
"So what happened after we left?"
Severus told her that the boys and Ginerva had broken out in angry outbursts and Ginerva had this jealous look on her face, like many of the other girls around the room too had. Hermione rolled her eyes, and said
"Well that settles it then, they won't get anymore help or adventures with then, as I had enough of all of their behaviours, and to think I am dating that Weasle, i dont think so, as all we did was to fight and scream at each other, that is no relationship unless on verge of an abusive relationship at best."
Severus snarled at those words, and she looked at him and then at Seth who too had a dark look, and said
"Uhm did I say something wrong?" Seth sighed, and said
"Dad has hard times with those words of abuse, due to his own upbringing as child with an abusive father."
"Oh, I am so sorry to hear that Professor."
Severus shook his head, and said
"You didnt know, and I dont mind you know but-"
"I will never tell anyone, as it is not their business to know a thing of it, as it is private for Merlin's sake."
The two men nodded, and Severus then left the two, and Hermione said
"Oh wait how old are you Seth?"
"I recently turned 18, and I graduated from Ilvermorny back in June."
"Oh wow. So only 2 years older than me then. And what is your plans for life after Ilvermorny?"
He smiled, then said
"I am actually an Unspeakable, and transferring here to work here instead of America. I will still every now and then visit grandpa of course."
Making her nod, but smile too and said
"Wow impressive job then."
"You could say that. It really what I wanted to be after dad's double agent life."
Hermione nodded, and smiled as she could see that it suit him.
After hours of sitting there talking to each other, it was time for dinner. So the two with Severus left the room they were in, and walked out and upstairs to the Great Hall, holding hands.
