I've waited all year to write this and here it is now. I hope you enjoy it.
Chapter 1
The day before Thanksgiving, Striker went to his mailbox to check his mail. He opened the mailbox, grabbed the mail and closed the mailbox. He made his way to his house when a huge black horse greeted him with a happy whinny.
"Oh, hey, Bombproof," Striker said, petting the horse's head with his free hand. Then he continued to head towards the house.
Once inside, the cowboy searched through his mail until he found an envelope that had Lin's and Joe's name on it. What could it be for? he wondered.
He tossed the other mail on the coffee table in the living room and opened the envelope from Lin and Joe.
It was a letter, which read:
Dear Striker and family,
You and your whole family are invited to our house for Thanksgiving. We also invited I.M.P. and their friends and family. We look forward to seeing you.
Lin and Joe
"Hey, Dad, what's up?" a young male voice said.
Striker turned around and faced one of his sons. "Oh, hey, Seth. We just got invited over to Lin and Joe's for Thanksgiving."
"Come on, Strike, we get invited there almost every year," a female voice told him as she walked into the room.
"That's true, Kore, unless Joe and Lin get sick or their children get sick."
"So from what I'm hearing, they seem fine," another female voice added. It was Kaitlin.
"Yay, Thanksgiving!" a young female voice cheered.
"Maria's excited," Serenity, Maria's mother, pointed out.
"We get to have mashed potatoes, turkey, gravy, stuffing, corn, pumpkin pie," Jake pointed out, "All the good stuff."
"That's always good," his mother, Jane agreed.
"And cranberry sauce," Adeline added.
"They might have it, Adi," Kaitlin told her, "We have it here, as well."
…
In Blitzo's apartment, Blitzo was sorting through his mail until he found an envelope that read: "LIN and JOE". He opened it and pulled out a slip of paper, which was a letter that read:
Dear Blitz,
You and your adopted hellhound daughter, Loona, your wife, Riva, and son, Curly are invited to our house for Thanksgiving. You can also invite your friends if they are available. Joe and I can never forget your first time meeting us at the annual Harvest Moon Festival, so it wouldn't hurt to invite you and the gang again.
Lin and Joe
"Hmm…I think I'll invite Barbie Wire," he said.
"What about Stolas and Octavia?" asked Riva.
"Oh, sure, they can come, but for now, I need to call my sister and see if she can come." Blitzo went on his phone and found Barbie Wire's name in his contacts and pressed her name. "Hey, sis. It's me, Blitz and I was wondering if you'd come over to Millie's parents for Thanksgiving."
"Who are Millie's parents and where are they from?" Barbie Wire asked on the other end.
"Millie's parents are Lin and Joe and they're from the Wrath ring just like my employees Millie and her hubby, Moxxie."
"Will my nephew, niece, and sister-in-law be there, too?"
"They sure will."
Barbie's anticipated smile grew wider at the mention of her family being there. She felt like internally squealing, she couldn't hold her excitement.
"Yes!" Barbie Wire shouted cheerfully. "I'd gladly come over to see Lin and Joe with you guys!"
"I'll pick you up tomorrow."
"Sounds good."
"Bye."
"Bye."
Both twins hung up their phones.
"Guess what, guys? Your auntie, Barbie Wire is coming with us," Blitzo announced Loona and Curly.
"Yes!" Curly said, happily raising his fist.
"Yay," Loona said lethargically, tapping on her phone, not paying attention to anything that was going on.
"Can we invite Via and her dad over, Dad, please?" Curly asked.
"Why sure," Blitzo replied, "I don't want to disappoint my main man of the house." He ruffled his son's hair.
…
In the Goetia mansion, Stolas and Octavia were drinking tea and eating cake for dessert on the long purple couch in the living room. Under the couch was a red rug with pink lines. Behind the couch were lavender drapes with white dots that shined like stars in the night with dark purple curtains with Goetia imprints on them and golden rope attached to the curtains with the middle shaped like stars. The living room also had bluish-purple wallpaper.
Then father and daughter heard a rotary dial ring. The cloud above the phone read "Blitzy is calling".
"Via, can you get the phone?" Stolas asked.
"Sure, Dad," Octavia replied, getting off the couch and handing the phone over to her father.
"Hello, Blitzy," Stolas said on the phone.
"Hey, Stolas, are you and Via coming over to Lin and Joe's for Thanksgiving?" asked Blitzo on the other end.
"Um…why do you ask?"
"Um…my son, Curly, my daughter, Loona, and my wife, Riva will be there."
Octavia smiled inwardly at the mention of her boyfriend, Curly, being there.
"Octavia seems to like the idea and she's never been to Wrath before. So it wouldn't hurt for me to go there again, but this time with my daughter."
"Sounds good. Have a great night, Stolas."
"You, too, Blitz." Stolas hung up his phone and Blitzo did the same.
Octavia was glad that her father was taking her, considering her mother never did because Wrath was for "corn happy plebeians", according to her mother. Now that Stella was out of their hair, she had no reason to care what her mother thought.
…
Millie dug through her mail until she found one that read "LIN and JOE". Setting the other mail aside, she opened the envelope from her parents. In there there was a letter she pulled out. It read:
Dear Mildred,
You, your hubby, and daughters Mandy and Carrie are invited over to our house for Thanksgiving. Your brothers and Sallie are excited to see all of you. We already invited Striker and his family and your boss and his family over.
Love,
Mama and Daddy
P.S. your father misses his deadly little pumpkin spice and his granddaughters.
"What is it, Millie?" Moxxie asked as he walked in the living room.
"My parents invited all of us over for Thanksgiving," replied Millie.
Moxxie sighed. "I'm not sure if I should go, considering your parents still don't respect me." He couldn't forget his in-law's lack of respect for him.
"But my brothers and Sallie Mae are excited to see you."
Sallie Mae? Oh, right, there was another time they'd gone to his in-laws and Sallie Mae apologized for giving him crap by betting on him dying in the Pain Games and was sincere about it. It took some time, but he eventually forgave her. She must've overheard what happened to her sister when she got hurt because of Striker, who eventually switched sides upon learning of Stella's plot. Then he received a hug from one of Millie's younger brothers, which made him smile warmly, knowing there was another person in Millie's family, besides Millie and Sallie Mae, that cared about him.
"So, will you come over to Grandma and Grandpa's, Daddy?" Carrie asked.
"Yeah, Daddy, it'll be fun," Mandy added.
"Well…" Moxxie said hesitantly.
"Please?" Mandy and Carrie asked in unison.
"Oh, what the hell? Your aunt, Sallie Mae and your uncles care about me."
"Yay!"
"I knew you could do it, Mox," Millie encouraged, "My sister and brothers enjoy having you around, anyway."
"Sallie apologized for betting on me dying and one of your younger brothers hugged me."
"Yeah, he's a sweetie."
