Iori Yagami was walking in the streets of Osaka, he had been searching for his rival, Kyo Kusanagi, who had been missing since the defeat of the Yamata No Orochi. As he was was walking, he suddenly saw an unconscious boy in the middle of the streets.
The boy had a pale complexion and had godlike body, he was a drop dead gorgeous. He had blue hair that reached his waist with crimson eyes with black pupils, he stood at 5 feet 11 inches. He wore a black form-fitting short-sleeved shirt and black pants with black kung fu shoes and black stockings. He also wore a flowing black vest with a long backside that is secured with a black obi tied over it at his waist and black armbands.
Iori: What's he doing in the middle of the streets, I'd better get him to a hospital.
So Iori picked up the boy and rushed towards the nearest hospital.
[3 hours later]
In the hospital, the boy suddenly opened his crimson eyes and found himself in an unfamiliar place.
Boy: Where am I?
Then a nurse got in the room and checked on the boy, for some reason the boy was glaring at her with glowing crimson eyes.
Nurse: You okay, it appears that there are no injuries. You are good to go.
Boy: Where am I and who brought me here?
Nurse: You're in a hospital in Osaka and a man named Iori Yagami was the one who brought you here. He has crimson hair, wears a black coat with a crescent moon crest marked on the back, the red pants with a belt attached to each of his knees. You're...
Boy: Ashura.
Ashura got on his feet and got out of the room in an impressive speed.
[Streets of Osaka]
Ashura was walking on the streets of Osaka searching for Iori.
Ashura: I've searched everywhere for this dude but I can't find him. Everything has changed since 1800 years. I wonder where is Orochi.
Ashura searched Iori for the entire 7 hours and couldn't find him, he decided to head to the forest to train.
In the forest Ashura was training very hard. He was pretty disappointed that he didn't find Iori.
Ashura: I'm gonna train very hard. Orochi and the others are sealed. It's 1988, I should use this 1 year to unleash some of my hidden powers.
[1 year later]
Ashura had trained a lot and managed to get strong, unleashed some of his powers and transformations, his powers managed to attract some of the bad guys, who sensed his high energy.
Ashura was wearing a black varsity jacket with black trimmings and white upper sleeves. The jacket also has a large black "A" patch at the right side of the front, although it is currently unknown what does it stand for. It also has a white star with wing-like blocks at the sides and a text that reads "Since 1998" marked under, along with a red star enclosed in a ring with wings marked on each sleeves, a black full t-shirt with sleeves, black jeans, black belt, black fingerless gloves, and black sneakers.
Ashura suddenly saw an envelope flying towards him, he caught the envelope and ripped off the seal, he found an invitation in the envelope and took it out.
Ashura: You are cordially invited to this year's King of Fighters. The method of combat will be 3-on-3 battles. You're allowed to participate alone.
Ashura put the invitation in his pocket and started thinking. He had used one of his powers to read the history of the world and found out what the King Of Fighters tournaments were. He didn't want to interact with humans because he hated them with all his heart, but he was willing to give them a second chance.
Ashura: This is fishy, whoever is the host of this tournament is planning something. Maybe I'll find this Iori dude in the tournament. 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% will be enough for this tournament.
Ashura walked towards the location where he was gonna fight his first opponents. He still had too much hatred for all the humans, he wanted to let go of that hatred but he couldn't.
[The next day]
Park
A park next to a neighborhood. In the first round, can be seen a balcony with some benches, an old man feeding some birds along to a dog, a female statue, and a trash can, in the right, children playing, a man watching, a light post and two street-sweepers, in the center, and a building and a picnic table, in the left, besides plants all over the area.
Ashura was on the opposite side of the Psycho Soldiers. Athena was blushing very hard when she looked at Ashura's handsome face, Kensou was jealous when he saw the look on Athena's face while Bao was wondering why her big sister figure was acting all weird. Ashura just ignored them all, he had 2 objectives and they were:
1: Find Iori Yagami.
2: Find out who the mysterious host is and what are his intentions.
But he had to admit that Athena looked very beautiful, she reminded him of the love of his love that died [In this timeline, Ashura still remembered princess Athena]. Ashura still loved princess Athena even though she was dead, but he didn't want to move on.
Ashura and Bao stood on the opposite side of the area in their fighting stances.
Announcer: Ready, FIGHT!
Bao did a small leap forward, flipping himself, tried attacking Ashura with his legs, but he dodged and lifted up Bao and dropped him on the other side. Bao got on his feet and jumped up high, tried attacking Ashura with his legs, but Ashura dodged and punched Bao in the face before kicking him away.
Bao jumped into the air and dived downward before he tried attacking Ashura with his head, but Ashura blocked the headbutt and kicked Bao to the other side before firing a purple blast of Psycho Power, blasting Bao away from him.
Bao fired a Psycho Ball that bounced on the ground towards Ashura, who absorbed it. Bao fired a Psycho Ball forward towards Ashura, who absorbed it once again. Bao jumped into the air and fired a Psycho Ball that bounced off of the ground towards Ashura, who just kicked the Psycho Ball back towards Bao, hitting Bao in the guts, sending him crashing into the ground. Bao got on his feet, he was very hurt and Ashura didn't care about how hurt Bao was.
Bao covered himself in Psycho Power and fire bounced himself around towards Ashura, who kicked Bao away from him. Bao covered himself in Psycho Power and fire bounced himself around towards Ashura, who kicked him away again.
Bao charged a large blue projectile and sent it flying across the area towards Ashura, who caught the large blue projectile with his hand and crushed it with ease, then he disappeared and reappeared behind Bao before he kicked him in the of the neck and fired a large burst of Psycho Power at Bao, hitting Bao and created a huge explosion of Psycho Power. When the smoke died down, Bao was unconscious.
Announcer: KO, Winner is Ashura.
Kensou was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Kensou: I'm gonna defeat you and prove to Athena that I am her knight in shining armor. Prepare to lose.
Ashura: Such arrogance that humans have, another reason why I hate humanity. Their arrogance disgust me, you should have run while you had a chance.
Announcer: Ready, FIGHT!
Kensou raised both of his hands and tried slamming them down on Ashura's head, but he blocked the attack and hit Kensou with an overhead palm thrust using his rear hand, followed up by punching Kensou's stomach, then he backhanded Kensou, ending off by jumping and did an overhead heel drop, knocking Kensou down.
Kensou got on his feet and jumped and tried delivering a spin kick to Ashura's head, but he dodged and leaped into the air and delivered three leap kicks before jumping upwards while delivering spin kicks, knocking Kensou into the air.
Kensou leaped forward and tried delivering an elbow strike, which Ashura dodged before Kensou tried kicking Ashura twice, but he dodged the onslaught very easily and delivered repeated punches before delivering a powerful punch that knocked Kensou away.
Kensou got on his feet and leaped forward and tried delivering a charging punch at Ashura's head, but he caught the hand with one hand before hit Kensou with a powerful double palm strike, which sent him a couple of feet away from him.
Ashura leaped forward and delivered an elbow strike before kicking Kensou twice before doing handstand and kicked Kensou with his legs twice before leaping into the air while delivering a rising spin kick, followed up by leaping forward and delivered a drop kick to Kensou's head before leaping at him again and repeatedly kicked him on the head and sweeped Kensou off his legs with a sweep kick before Ashura delivered a double palm strikes while Kensou was falling. Kensou was revealed to be unconscious after the attack.
Announcer: KO, winner is Ashura.
Athena was up next, she got on the opposite side of the area and got in her fighting stance. She blushed when she looked at Ashura, her heart was skipping a beat. Ashura just checked her out, she looked just like princess Athena.
Athena: [Blushing] Hello there, I'm Athena Asamiya.
Ashura: (There's no doubt about it, she is the descendant of the original Athena.) I'm Ashura, I hope you're strong.
Athena: I'm strong, do you want to see.
Ashura: Let the fighting do all the talking.
Announcer: Ready, GO!
Athena waved her arms and threw a purple ball of Psycho Power at Ashura, who teleported behind Athena and kicked her on the back, she nearly fell to the ground but as she was falling, Ashura caught her by the hips, stopping her from falling. Athena was blushing very madly.
Ashura let Athena stand straight to her feet and walked a couple of feet away from her. Athena tried delivering a jumping high kick, but Ashura caught her leg and let go of it. Athena threw herself back-first at Ashura, who caught her very easily, making her blush very harder. Ashura put Athena on her feet before he walked a couple of feet away from Athena. Athena put both of her hands together and threw a ball of Psycho Power at Ashura, who dodged the Psycho Shoot.
Athena jumped into the air and curled into a ball before encasing herself in Psycho Power and launched herself at Ashura, who dodged before he landed a thunderous spinning kick to Athena's guts, making her gasp in pain.
Athena used her Psycho Power to displace her place in space, allowing her to teleport behind Ashura before she did an uppercut while using her Psycho Power to make her arm into a sword to cut Ashura, but he dodged her attack hit her with a powerful spinning uppercut, that sent Athena into the air.
While in mid-air, Athena curled into a ball before encasing herself in Psycho Power and launched herself at Ashura, who dodged her attack once again and landed a powerful sidekick to Athena's guts, sending her a couple of feet away.
Athena used her Psycho Power to displace her place in space, allowing her to teleport behind Ashura before she put both of her hands together and threw a ball of Psycho Power at Ashura, juggling him into the air, but while he was in mid-air, Ashura charged his leg with Psycho Power before he dived towards Athena with a dive kick, Athena dodged the kick and made Ashura kick the ground, creating an explosion of Psycho Power.
Ashura formed two small purple balls of Psycho Power in both of his hands before he charged at Athena. Athena created a forcefield of Psycho Power in front of her to protect her from Ashura's incoming attack. Ashura threw one of them at the forcefield, destroying it in an instant before Ashura teleported himself in front of Athena and put the other one on Athena's belly before it exploded after a few seconds, creating a huge explosion of Psycho Power.
Athena got on her feet after the attack, she was very wounded after the last attack. Athena formed an Aura around her body as she transformed into the Goddess Athena before she launched a small, powerful ball of Psycho Power at Ashura, who absorbed the attack with ease.
Athena jumped into the air and launched a large number of Psycho Ball down at Ashura, who dodged them all before Athena curled into a ball and encased herself in Psycho Power before launching herself at Ashura, who dodged once again.
Ashura charged his fist with Psycho Power and charged at Athena, who got ready for the worst. Athena knew that attack was gonna hurt her when it hit the mark, Ashura wasn't going easy on her. Ashura suddenly disappeared and reappeared behind Athena and tapped on her shoulder. Athena turned around and looked at Ashura with a shocked expression.
Ashura: Hello beautiful, I hope you had fun. No hard feelings okay.
Athena: [Blushing] Right.
Ashura punched Athena in the guts, creating a huge explosion of Psycho Power that leveled up the area around them. When the smoke died down, Athena was unconscious in Ashura's hand, who was carrying her bridal style.
Announcer: WINNER!
Ashura used his healing powers on Athena, healing all her wounds. Athena regained consciousness and found herself in Ashura's arms, she blushed very hard.
Ashura: You finally woke up, Athena.
Ashura put Athena on her feet and started walking away with Athena looking at him with love and admiration.
Athena: Will we meet again.
Ashura: We will.
Ashura continued walking away and when he got far away from the park, he teleported himself away.
[The next day]
Ashura was in the forest thinking. He already knew the winners of the previous round. They went like this:
Hero Team fought Ikari Warriors Team and won.
Art Of Fighting Team fought Korea Justice Team and won.
Fatal Fury Team didn't fight and was gonna fight Ashura.
Ashura teleported himself to the area where the fight was gonna take place.
[Alley]
An alley next to a chinese restaurant. Can be seen light flags, some people and children watching the fight and eating, a dog, a bonfire, a graffiti and a wall, in the left. Ashura was standing on the opposite side of The Fatal Fury Team. Ashura was gonna begin the fight with Mai.
Announcer: Ready, GO!
Mai leaped forward and tried kicking Ashura on his legs, but he blocked the kick and punched Mai in the face before he elbowed her in the guts and landed a final thunderous right hook that sent Mai away from Ashura.
Mai did a sliding sweep kick that Ashura dodged before Mai tried kicking Ashura on his chest, but he blocked the kick and kicked Mai in the guts before he picked her up with one hand and threw her up in the air before he hit her with a powerful spinning uppercut.
Mai got on her feet and jumped into the air and as she fell, she tried slashing Ashura with her steel fans, but he dodged all the slashes and kicked Mai away with a powerful sidekick.
Mai threw one of her steel fans at Ashura, who caught it and threw it back at Mai, grazing her on the cheeks. Mai spun around and created a wave of fire that spread across Ashura and tried burning him, but he absorbed the flames with ease, shocking Mai.
Mai moved towards Ashura while spinning her arms around with a steel fan in each, tried cutting Ashura with each swing, but he dodged them all before spun around and punched Mai in the face, turning her world upside down.
Mai lit herself on fire to burn Ashura when she comes into contact with him, but he dodged the attack and lit himself on crimson flames and charged at Mai before bulldozing her to a wall, creating an explosion when he hit her.
Mai got of the wall and lit three of her steel fans on fire before she threw all of them at Ashura, who caught all three of the fans before he threw them back at Mai, who dodged her steel fans.
Mai dashed at Ashura before rapidly slashing Ashura with both of her Steel Fans as she carried him higher and higher into the air. Ashura got on his feet, the attack did nothing to him.
A bright light appeared in Ashura's hand and when the light died down, Ashura had a green glowing sword.
Ashura: Mai Shiranui, it's time for you to face judgement.
Ashura slashed Mai up. When he connected, he slashed her an innumerable amount of times, then recites a haiku while sheathing his sword and Mai was still suspended in the air. When he finished, the slashes from before caught up and butchered Mai. Mai was unconscious after the attack, the sword disappeared after that.
Announcer: Winner is Ashura.
Andy was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Announcer: Ready, GO!
Andy tried delivering a powerful open palm strike to Ashura's head, but he dodged and grabbed Andy by his neck and slammed him to the ground before leaping up and slammed down on top of Andy.
Andy got on his feet and tried delivering a side kick, which Ashura dodged before Andy tried delivering a high kick to Andy's head, but Ashura dodged it too and leaped high into the air and grabbed Andy's head before delivering a kick to the back of his head.
Andy did a flip before delivering an axe kick to Ashura's head, but he dodged it and delivered multiple sideways spinning kicks which launched Andy into the air and crashed into the ground.
Andy crouched down before he tried delivering a rising palm strike to Ashura, who dodged the attack and delivered multiple breakdance kicks where he spun on his head while kicking Andy before he leaped up and delivered two spinning axe kicks to Andy's body.
Ashura grabbed Andy before flipping backwards and slammed Andy into the ground head first, then he leaped forward towards Andy before delivering two kicks Andy before Ashura turned around before leaping back toward Andy while spinning and delivered an axe kick to Andy's head, sending him crashing into the ground.
Andy got on his feet and pushed himself into the air with his hands and tried delivering a double drop kick while his body is surrounded by flames, but Ashura dodged it and dashed forward before striking Andy's neck with his elbow before he started to rapidly punch him and launched a wave of Chi at Andy.
Andy got on his feet and formed a large ball of Chi in front of him before striking it and launched out a blast of Chi at Ashura, who dodged it and leaped up before he started to spin around, forming a tornado around Ashura's body which sucked Andy, who was close to him before he got harmed by the tornado. Andy was revealed to be unconscious after the attack.
Announcer: Winner is Ashura.
Terry was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Announcer: Ready, GO!
Ashura: (Street fight, it's time I show him who is the street champion.)
Terry charged up his fist with chi and tried punching Ashura, but he dodged the attack and dashed towards Terry with his arm extended and with energy surrounding his fist, knocking Terry down.
Terry got on his feet and tried delivering a forward punch to Ashura's waist, but he blocked it and smacked Terry with a round punch, followed up by backhand punching Terry before Ashura spun upwards while upside down, one leg tucked into his middle and one arm stuck out, kicking Terry rapidly into the air.
Terry punched the ground and sent a wave of chi across the ground to hit Ashura, but he dodged it and punched the ground and released a wave of energy towards Terry, harming him upon contact.
Terry punched the ground and created an explosion of chi out of the ground, but Ashura avoided the explosion and punched Terry twice with shining blue knuckles before he landed another one that released a tremendous explosion.
Terry got on his feet and jumped and tried delivering an axe kick that was charged with chi to Ashura, who dodged it and jumped, doing a front flip with his leg extended, and hit Terry with his heel after the flip was done.
Terry charged his fist with chi before he tried punching Ashura into the air, but he dodged and hit Terry a flying knee kick then followed, turned around in mid air and knocked Terry down with a flaming punch.
Terry punched the ground, creating a big geyser of energy that came out with a diagonal tilt forwards, which Ashura dodged before he punched the ground three times, each creating a big geyser of energy, which juggled Terry on the receiving end, followed up by shoulder tackling Terry before hitting him into the air and punched him to the ground with a fist empowered with chi, ending off by charging towards Terry with a energy-charged punch; when it connected, Ashura landed another one that released a tremendous explosion. When the smoke died down, Terry was revealed to be unconscious.
Announcer: WINNER!
Ashura: What a pathetic performance from the legendary wolf.
Ashura walked away with everyone looking at him, it was the second team that he had just totally destroyed. Ashura found out that he was gonna face the Hero Team next.
[The following day]
Amusement Park
the fight occurs next to the caurosel, a castle and the entrance of a tunnel of terror, can be seen a light post, people and park workers, barracks and fireworks. Ashura was on the opposite side of Hero Team. Ashura was gonna fight Benimaru first.
Announcer: Ready, GO!
Ashura leaped onto Benimaru and wrapped his legs around Benimaru's head, preventing him from seeing before he spun his body around and threw Benimaru to the ground.
Benimaru got on his feet and stepped forward before he tried delivering a high kick to Ashura, but he dodged and swiped his arm and made a wave of electricity form in front of him before swinging his other arm and launched the electricity wave at Benimaru, shocking him on contact
Benimaru jumped into the air before launching himself towards Ashura feet first while spinning, but he dodged and surrounded himself with electricity before he leaped and spun through the air before kicking Benimaru before he landed.
Benimaru did a flip kick which called down a bolt of lightning from the sky towards Ashura, who dodged it and blew a kiss at Benimaru and formed a small ball of electricity in the air that shocked Benimaru.
Benimaru put his hand on the floor and tried to breakdance kick Ashura, but he dodged and summoned a lightning bolt to strike him and surrounded him with electricity that harmed Benimaru when it touched him.
Benimaru tried punching Ashura with a fist that sparked with electricity, but he dodged it and pushed Benimaru behind him, forcing him to run before he bounced off of the nearest wall and Ashura leaped at him and kneed Benimaru on the head with a knee empowered with electricity.
Benimaru got on his feet and sent out multiple electrical afterimages of himself out which tried punching and kicking Ashura, but he blocked all the attacks before Benimaru charged forward and tried kicking Ashura, but he blocked the kick and created a thunderstorm in the sky above her before making a purple bolt of lightning strike Benimaru, shocking him.
Benimaru tried punching Ashura with a fist that sparked with a large amount of electricity, but Ashura dodged it and punched Benimaru with a fist surrounded by a large white ball of electricity that shocked Benimaru when he touched him.
Ashura kicked a wave of electricity at Benimaru and stunned him while Ashura created a thunderstorm above Benimaru, Ashura then leaped up and got struck by a crimson bolt of lightning, conducting it through his body before kicking his leg toward Benimaru and shot a stream of powerful crimson electricity at him, shocking him on contact. Benimaru was revealed to be unconscious after the attack.
Announcer: Winner is Ashura.
Moe was up next, she got in her fighting stance and blushed when she saw Ashura.
Announcer: Ready, GO!
Moe jumped into the air and struck downwards with both fists, but Ashura caught both fists and threw Moe to the ground before punching her in the face and kicked her away from him.
Moe got on her feet and hopped and performed an overhead kick on Ashura, who dodged it and flipped backwards before lunging towards Moe and punched her in the face before kicking her on the side of the face, sending her away from him.
Moe performed a quick series of attacks on Ashura; starting with a backfist, which Ashura blocked, then a shoulder strike, which Ashura dodged and finished with a turning elbow strike, which Ashura dodged and punched Moe in the face, then kicked him in the guts, and hit her with a powerful double palm strike that sent her very far from him.
Moe retreated and then tried striking with a lunging side blow, which Ashura dodged before Moe performed an upwards somersault kick, which Ashura dodged and shoulder barged Moe, sending her crashing into the nearest wall.
Moe got off the wall and rushed towards Ashura with an uppercut, which Ashura dodged with ease and then Moe tried delivering a turning side blow, which Ashura blocked and delivered a powerful spinning punch that nearly knocked Moe unconscious.
Moe conjured up a volley of cherry blossoms and tried hitting Ashura with a spinning uppercut, but he dodged and conjured up a volley of cherry blossoms in his fist and punched Moe in the guts, causing the volley of cherry blossoms to scatter in all directions.
Moe rushed at Ashura with a barrage of kicks and finished him off with a flying stomp kick, gracefully landing after a backflip. Ashura got on his feet and got ready to end the fight once and for all.

Kyo rushed at Ashura and tried hitting him with a barrage of fists. Ashura was dodging a barrage of punches from Kyo. Kyo tried punching Ashura in the face with a fiery punch, but Ashura ducked and tripped Kyo with a double low kick.
Kyo got on his feet and jumped high into the air before landing with a kick to Ashura's head. Ashura got on his feet and charged at Kyo, he tried delivering two high kicks to Kyo, but Kyo dodged and tried delivering a punch, but Ashura blocked Kyo's attack before countering him by elbowing him in the chest which created an explosion.
Ashura stepped forward and punched Kyo and made an explosion occurring where he punched, followed by delivering an uppercut which created an explosion, then elbowing Kyo down which created an explosion that slammed Kyo to the floor, ending off with punching Kyo as he layed on the ground, creating an explosion when his fist hits Kyo.
Kyo got on his feet and spun around before punching Ashura and made an explosion occurring where he punched, followed up by delivering a one-inch punch to Ashura's stomach that caused an explosion, ending off by uppercutting Ashura and sending him flying with an explosion.
Ashura got on his feet and jumped into the air and as he fell back down, he slammed his fists into Kyo's head. Then he punched Kyo as he layed on the on the ground, creating an explosion when his fist hit Kyo.
Ashura spun around before punching Kyo with a powerful explosive punch, which created an explosion. Kyo jumped at Ashura and delivered a powerful punch to the chin before he turned around and punched Ashura with a explosive punch that sent him flying into the air. Ashura flipped while in mid-air and swiftly landed on his feet.
Kyo covered himself in flames along with his rear hand and Ashura did the same too. Then the both of them threw them out in a big wave of flames, the two waves collided, creating an explosion. After the smoke died down, Ashura and Kyo were still on their feet.
Kyo charged his fist with a flame and turned around 2 times before punching Ashura on the chin with an explosive punch, sending him flying into the air, Ashura managed to backflip while in mid-air and swiftly landed on his feet.
Ashura punched Kyo before uppercutting him into the air before throwing a powerful front before he hit the ground, each punch he throws creates an explosion when he hits the opponent, followed up by punching Kyo with a hook punch before raising his left hand in the air and swung forward, releasing a wave of flames, harming Kyo.
Ashura then was surrounded by flames and spun around while charging up his fist with a flame before punching Kyo with an explosive punch, harming Kyo. Kyo was on his knees, struggling to stand.
Ashura: This is the end for you, Kyo Kusanagi.
Kyo: Who are you and how can you use the same flames as me.
Ashura: All will be revealed in due time.
Ashura charged at Kyo and started to rapidly and repeatedly punch Kyo over and over again before he suddenly stopped and a huge crimson fiery pillar engulfed Ashura before he started punch Kyo over and over again while on fire before he jumped into the air and dived toward Kyo before shooting out a massive wave of crimson fire that nearly incinerated Kyo. Kyo was revealed to be unconscious after the attack.
Announcer: WINNER! CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE THE NEW KING OF FIGHTERS!
Ashura was gonna receive his prices, but someone suddenly appeared in front of him, it was Iori.
Ashura: You must be Iori Yagami?
Iori: You must be the one who defeated Kyo?
