Chapter 3: Making Snow Globes
One seasonably mild last Saturday of November 2022, I met my childhood friends Sarah, James, and Henri as well as some of my other best friends Carly Shay and Spencer Puckett, along with Carly's stepdad, Freddie Benson. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. Before we listened to Christmas music, we listened to our usual favorite music of Kate Bush and NSYNC. "Are there any more Thanksgiving leftovers left?" Henri happily asked. "I'm getting hungry." "Yes, we will have Thanksgiving leftovers for dinner later, Henri," Mr. Benson pointed out. "That's great, Mr. Benson," Henri happily stated, licking his lips. "I cannot wait to eat another one of the crescent rolls that I made!" "Did you like my macaroni and cheese?" Mr. Benson asked. "It is a favorite food to cook in our family." "A lot of favorite foods within our group here include pizza, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, macaroni and cheese, hamburgers, spaghetti and meatballs, fried chicken, tacos, and grilled cheese sandwiches," I told everyone. "I love this craft, Spencer," James happily stated. "I love it, too, James," Spencer agreed. "I have never made a snow globe before and I was nervous that I would do it wrong!" "What do you mean?" Spencer asked. "Like with juggling balls in the air my freshman year," James explained. "That took some time for me to learn." "It took some time for me to learn how to make a snow globe," Spencer agreed. "I cannot wait to add another great craft to my collection, Sarah," Carly happily stated. "We all know how much you love crafts, Carly," Sarah stated. "It started when I made Halloween crafts my freshman year of high school," Carly explained. "To be honest, I really enjoy working for Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties. It is so much fun!" "That's good, Carly," I stated. "We have been everywhere these past few days, from Trafford for our Thanksgiving potluck to Marshall Township for our bucket list and game day and now back at our home in Monroeville." "Well, our home is in Squirrel Hill, Angel," Sarah told me. "Yes, but the office is our home when it comes to where the most work takes place," I explained. "Oh, okay," Sarah agreed. "I see what you mean now." After we were done making our snow globes, we had leftover Thanksgiving food for dinner. "Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays that I look forward to every year," I explained to my friends. "Because there is so much good food to eat." Pretty soon, it was time for all of us to head home for the day. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
