Chapter 4: A Trip to the Carnegie Science Center
The next day, I met up with Sarah, James, and Henri, as well as some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, and Max Greenwald at the Carnegie Science Center for a tour of the Mars exhibit. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. We jammed out to 98 Degrees and Lizzo on the way to the museum. "What would it be like to live on Mars, Max?" Henri asked. "It would be a lot different than living on Earth, Henri," Max replied. "How do you guys feel about touring the submarine, Justin?" James asked. "I would be interested in touring it with you." "Okay, James," Justin agreed. "We can tour the submarine after we finish looking at the exhibits." "I enjoyed learning about the basics of Mars, Sarah," Alex happily stated. "You seem to really like learning about things, Alex," Sarah praised. "So do I!" "Yes, and it is fun to get some exercise by walking around the museum," Alex agreed. "I remember when I hated gym class in middle school because I did not like having to change clothes in front of others and work on toning my body." "Exercise is a great way to make time in your daily life," Alex explained. "Besides going back to Kennywood Park on Friday nights, I love to swim at the Jewish Community Center, and also take walks to Schenley Park and Frick Park during the week. You can join me sometimes if you wish." "Sure, I would love to," I replied. "I see that we were supposed to go see another movie today, but we are obviously going to have to do it tomorrow because we are at the Science Center." After we saw all of the exhibits at the Carnegie Science Center, we headed to Flipt in Rivers Casino for dinner. "I was trying to find a salad bar place because I do not like eating junk food," Alex explained. "I got an A+ in health class my senior year, and I missed out on cooking all of my favorite recipes these past few days. Come to think of it, I would have actually preferred eating Thanksgiving leftovers like we did last year! I cooked some really good steamed green beans with almonds, Justin made sweet potato casserole, and Max made mashed potatoes." "I noticed how big my dress was getting on me," I explained to my friends. "Because you guys are teaching me about how to eat and exercise properly." "That's good, Angel," Alex told me. "I remember how our sweaters and dresses looked alike on Thanksgiving," I stated. I ordered a hot dog with French fries and a hot fudge sundae, while Sarah and Alex ordered grilled chicken cobb salad, James and Justin ordered hamburgers and French fries, and Henri and Max ordered hot dogs and French fries. "This sounds like a future Kennywood Park restaurant, guys," I told my friends. Pretty soon, it was time for all of us to go home for the evening. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
