THIS IS THE FIRST PART OF A SERIES OF STORIES INVOLVING PARANORMAL AND OCCULT. IN THIS PART WE SEE HOW A GIRL OF 13 YEARS BECOMES VICTIM TO A DEAMON FROM NETHERWORLD WHEN SHE IS OFFERED AS SACRIFICE AT BIRTH AND LATER HOW HER FAMILY STRUGGLES TO SAVE HER WITH THE HELP OF A DEAMONOLOGIST AND OCCULT EXPERT.

DAKINI

DOCTOR PARANJAY WAS BAFFELED AFTER SEEING THE TEST RESULTS. OTHER THAN HER HEMOGLOBIN AND BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS BEING LOWER THAN NORMAL THERE WERE NO OTHER PROBLEMS THAT COULD BE FOUND FROM THE MULTITUDE OF TESTS THEY HAVE CONDUCTED ON PREETHI. THOUGH THEY HAVE KEPT HER SEDATED SO FAR THEY COUILDNT KEEP HER IN THAT CONDITION FOR MUCH LONGER. BEING THE FAMILY DOCTOR AND KNOWING PREETHI FROM CHILDHOOD HE WAS FEELING REALLY DOWN ON HOW TO COMMUNICATE THIS NEWS TO SUMA AND RAJESH. HE HAS GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS TO THE STAFF TO KEEP PREETHI RESTRAINED SO THAT SHE CANT CAUSE FURTHER HARM TO HERSELF AND DECIDED TO KEEP THE NEWS TO HIMSELF AND SEE IF HE CAN FIND SOME FURTHER DEVOLOPEMENT IN HER CONDITION WHICH MAY GIVE HIM A HINT ABOUT WHAT WAS AILING THE LITTLE GIRL..

RAMALINGESWARA SASTRY BREATHED A SIGH OF RELIEF WHEN HIS DESCIPLE DHANANJAY SASTRY CALLED HIM AND INFORMED HIM THAT THEY HAVE REACHED SHANTI DHAM. HE KNEW THAT THE FOURSOME WERE SAFE NOW AND THE ONLY ONE DIRECTLY UNDER RISK WAS PREETHI. AFTER CHANTING THE HYMS FOR SO MANY HOURS HIS THROAT WAS SORE AND THE PREVIOUS INJURIES WERE CATCHING UP TO HIM. HE CALLED ONE OF HIS DESCIPLES TOLD HIM TO COME ALONG TO KEEP UP THE CHANTING AND WENT HOME TO GET THE REQUIRED ITEMS FOR A PROLONGED STAY IN THE TEMPLE. HE KNEW HIS ONCE DESCIPLE RAM NARAYAN SHARMA WHO HAS NOW SURPASSED HIM WOULD NEED TIME TO INVESTIGATE THE PROBLEM AND FIND A SOLUTION. TIME WHICH HE DECIDED TO PROVIDE BY KEEPING UP THE RITUAL.

DEVA saw RAM NARAYAN SHARMA come out along with the eight-year-old boy who was looking very tired. A man leading formal clothes followed behind them and was thanking Ram Narayan Sharma. Looking at the boy and the man it was very clear that they were father and son. Ram Narayan Sharma look at the foursome and nodded his head towards DHANANJAY SASTRI and asked them to wait. The father of the boy was asking if this would be the last session with the kid and DEVA could here Ram Narayan Sharma reply in affirmative. There was palpable relief on the father's face on hearing it and he thanked RAM NARAYAN once again before getting into his car along with his son I'm driving away. Ram Narayan Sharma came back once the car has Departed I'm sat down on the couch. He told his servant Bhushan who was the man in his thirties to bring refreshments. Bhushan started asking weather the foursome would like to have some tea or coffee and Rajesh replied that all four would like some tea. He was looking at Ram Narayan Sharma and was thinking whether this was the man who could save his daughter. While Ramalingeswara shastri was a man in his fifties with graying hair and many years of experience Ram Ryan Sharma was a man in his early thirties I stood at the height of nearly six feet. He was Dusky in color and had an almost militaristic air about him. His head was cut short except a few strands on the back of his head which would neatly tied together quite similar Ramalingeswara shastri and Dhananjay Shastri as per of the tradition of BRAHMINS. Ram Narayan Sharma's eyes were the color of charcoal and he radiated a Divine aura giving hope to Rajesh and DEVA that he would be able to save PREETHI. Once all of them were served tea Ram Narayan Sharma casually asked Dhananjay Shastri, "how is Guru Ji. Is everything all right?"

Dhananjay Shastri replied, " he's doing okay. In fact it is he who sent you to us ask for your help. Today early in the morning GURU JI has tried an exorcism but it didn't go as planned. He was injured, do there is nothing to worry about. Currently he's performing MRUTHYUNJAYA HOMAM along with other disciples and many other experts."

Ram Narayan Sharma was shocked. It was very rare that his teacher Ramalingeswara Shastri failed to deal with the entities harming Innocents. He was immediately on high alert I'm keeping his tea cup beside him asked earnestly " what was the entity he was trying to get rid of? Who is the victim?"

Even before Dhananjay shastri could reply Rajesh said " please save my daughter. Please help, you are my only hope. Even Ramalingeswara shastri garu said the same."

Ram Narayan Sharma replied giving assurance Rajesh, " don't worry. I'll do everything in my power to save your daughter. But before I can do anything I have to know what the threat is. So please stay calm and let Dhananjay speak."

Dhananjay Shastri continued, " Initially Guruji thought that it was a simple ghost which was possessing the girl but when he tried to exorcise it he found it was too strong. He believes it to be a DAKINI"

Ram Narayan Sharma's eyes widened on hearing what Dhananjay has said and asked in a shocking tone " is he absolutely sure that it's a DAKINI?"

Dhananjay Shastri replied, "he is positive but not absolutely sure. That is why he has asked you to personally come as you have already faced such entities multiple times."

Ram Narayan Sharma replied " I'll definitely come but before that please tell me all that has happened during exorcism."

Dhananjay replied "Mr. Rajesh and his family how come to the temple yesterday evening. They said that their daughter PREETHI, was unwell from last one month all the Medical Treatments and tests have failed to determine the cause of the problem. Ramu Kaka here who is their servant and has been in the family how many years thought it was something paranormal and asked them to visit the temple and seek GURUJI'S advice. Knowing that these entities grow stronger with time and fear guruji did not delay I'm going to their house and on seeing the girl we concluded that she was being possessed. Guruji immediately made arrangements to perform an exorcism and today morning in the Brahma muhurta we tried to exorcise the ghost but it was too strong and was easily able to opposed exorcism. It injured guruji and would almost killed me if not for his timely action. We immediately understood that we are not dealing with any normal ghost and GURUJI stopped the exorcism and after checking all the symptoms no believes it to be a DAKINI."

When Dhananjay shastri was speaking about the exorcism, the events which happen the last few hours just flashed before the eyes of Rajesh. His daughter Preethi has been unwell for the last one month and after getting her checked and getting multiple tests done the doctors couldn't recognize what exact problem was. Though she was physically fine, she was having terrible mood swings and has started becoming violent. Initially they thought it was due to having her first PERIOD and she was just Moody. But day by day she started becoming more aggressive, stop coming to the Pooja room, and also asked her mother to remove the pictures of GODS from her room. They thought nothing of it before they could think more on it she started to have seizures which made them worry a lot. The doctors were unable to determine what has caused the seizures and from there it was a total downhill. She started becoming more violent and at one point when her little brother offered her Prashad, she pushed him so hard lucky almost got thrown into the Next Room. That was when Ramu Kaka suspected that this was something paranormal and Beyond conventional medicine and he advised Rajesh to approach Ramalingeswara Shastri. Though he was a little skeptical, he was a person who was ready to do anything for his family and the very same day took Ramu Kaka with him and went to the temple and told Ramalingeswara Shastri what happened. Ramalingeswara Shastri immediately came to their house and they found Preethi to be sleeping due to sedative previously given too her. He put a hand on her forehead and immediately told the family that the girl is being possessed and he would need to do an exorcism that very night.

When Rajesh asked what it would cost Ramalingeswara Shastri smiled and give him a short list consisting of a few ingredients which would be available in any Market. The rest of the required ingredients he said they would bring themselves. When Rajesh asked how much he has to pay Ramalingeswara Shastri told him that he could pay how much he wished after his daughter was saved and he would be there along with his other disciples at 2 a.m. To start the preparations under the exorcism will commence at 4 a.m. The Brahma muhurta. When he asked whether they could stay during the exorcism Ramalingeswara Shastri replied that they can stay as long as they obeyed his commands and stayed inside the protective spell he would design.

That night at 2 a.m. Ramalingeswara shastri came along with his disciples and after sprinkling water mixed with turmeric throw the house he and his disciples took out various instruments like small tridents, drums, some yellow thread and a few coconuts. Using some rice flour the made designs of a few YANTRA on the floor and placed the Coconuts all around it and DUG the tridents into the Coconuts. The bound all the Coconuts with the yellow thread forming a full circle. Ramalingeswara Shastri then shut down I'm stopped at reciting some hymns and right in front of their eyes PREETHI who was sleeping till then woke up all of a sudden Came and sat down inside the previously made Circle. As the exorcism progressed Preethi's form became more demonic, her hair coming loose by itself, fingernails growing invoice changing into a demonic pitch. When she Screeched it was like glass was shattering. Ignoring whatever Preethi was doing Ramalingeswara Shastri kept up his chanting until finally he picked up a coconut sprinkle some turmeric I'm trying to draw out the entity possessing the girl out but he was shocked but instead of being drawn out the entity resisted the spell and counter-attacked destroying the circle I'm attacking him. He was flung away I'm hit his head on the wall an almost lost consciousness. It was only his many years of experience which Android has stayed awake. Preethi then turned her attention the woods that disciples I'm started at to attack them. Ramalingeswara Shastri immediately took the sacred Rudraksh mala he was wearing and chanting a spell threw it on the ground. It formed a cage around Preethi and Ramalingeswara Shastri took out some powders from his bag and asked his disciples to make a fire and burn the powders. Preethi deeply inhaled the smoke I promptly fell unconscious I started having seizures. Ramalingeswara Shastri told them to take her to the hospital and asked Rajesh and Deva the wait for him. Before they took Preethi away he checked her hair, nails. He then asked if Preethi's menstrual cycle has started and and Suma replied that she had her first period just last month he nodded his head as of confirming a hypothesis. He called Dhananjay and and told him to go along with Rajesh and Deva to meet Ram Narayan. When Rajesh and Deva questioned what happened he said that they were not facing a simple ghost but rather he suspected that it was a DAKINI, a type of demon from the Netherworld and he's ill equipped deal with it. Ram Narayan was once his student and no he's an expert and would be the only one he knew who could help them. He told them he would start MRUTHYUNJAYA HOMAM for Preethi and as long as the ritual was going on she would lock be fully possessed and would be alive but he cautioned them to be careful, who keep reciting Hanuman Chalisa throughout their Journey fearing that if DAKINI suspected that they were trying to stop her it might try to harm them. He asked them to start immediately as speaking of such things over the phone is not safe. Knowing the urgency of the situation Rajesh told Suma to take their daughter to hospital and told the driver Kumar you stay with them and left along with Deva and Ramu Kaka to meet with Ram Narayan.

Dhananjay Shastri reported the whole event to Ram Narayan and their subsequent travel. Ram Narayan was in deep thought and after a few minutes asked " on which date did your daughter have her first period?"

Rajesh took out the phone and said that it was on 8th of May. Ram Narayan look at the calendar and saw that it was 10th of June. He said " I hope it is not a DAKINI that is possessing your daughter. Because if it is we have very few days to save her."

Rajesh was tensed and asked " so what exactly is a DAKINI? And why is it difficult to save my daughter if it is a DAKINI."

Ram Narayan sighed deeply and said " you must have read or herd that there are Seven words above earth and there are 7 worlds Below Earth. It is not entirely right to call them worlds. They are dimensions. And some entities live in these dimensions. Like humans some are good are some are bad. Some sadhakas do penance and through a lot of effort May gain the favor off of benevolent entity but some are not patient enough or cant put in effort or sometimes to even fulfil their selfish desires bring out an entity that is malevolent. Ghost's are easy to get rid of because they are nothing but an imprint of energy left in this world we're departing spirit which has unfinished business. Ghosts can't think and they're only aim is to fulfill the last wishes. Sometimes to communicate with their loved ones, sometimes to take revenge. To do this they possess a person. What is entities from these dimensions, especially those from the Netherworld's are very cunning. They cannot normally possess any person unless the Make a Deal and it is almost impossible to break such deals. Moreover these entities are not in the Physical Realm and cannot be killed. They can only be captured an under right circumstances forcefully returned do the dimensions they come from. DAKINI is one such entity from SUTAL LOK. It is very cunning and doesn't harm the body the traditional way because it requires the body to be healthy when takes full position. It destroys the mental faculties of the person tries to possess and consumes the spiritual energy so that The person spirit leaves the body and the DAKINI can take the full possession. Anyway let me go and get my kit and will take the next flight to Hyderabad. You can leave your car here. I will provide you with "RAKSHA KAVACH" an auspicious thread to be tight around your right wrist which will protect you from the DAKINI."
