It's been three years since Ashura had decided to train. Everyone enjoyed their peaceful life and the others continued to train very hard to be strong.

Athena had spent the rest of her three years hanging out with her friends and some times she would train. Sometimes she would go to concerts to kill sometime. She missed Ashura dearly, but the two of them spoke to each other telephically.

Yasakani had trained Iori and Akiha. The two of them can now control their blood disturbance, the three of them got a lot stronger and lived together again.

Ryoma had trained a lot with Kyo. Kyo can control his flames without using his gloves but still used them to suppress his powers, the two of them spent time together and were happy to be with each other.

Shin had spent his years spending time with his sister, sometimes he would hang out with Kasumi. He still trained hard.

Kris still continued to train and worked with the K' Team. Him, K', and Maxima stopped NESTS everytime they did everything. Kris was dating Kula. Kris trained with K' and the two of them could now use their flames without using the special gloves but still used them to suppress their power.

[In the forest]

Ryoma, Yasakani and Shin were in the forest.

Ryoma wore an unzipped black motorcycle jacket with silver metal studs with the Kusanagi crest marked on his back, white shirt, blue jeans, a regular sized belt with a large silver buckle, a small chain that hangs from the back pocket to the belt area, black shoes, each of his fingerless gloves were cut near the area of his wrist, a single gold stripe marked around the areas of his palms and another gold stripe added near the end of the cut, and an eclipsed sun crest near the area of his wrist.

Yasakani wore a short, half-buttoned, sleeveless black coat with gold buttons, a large thinly white crescent moon crest marked on the back that represents the Yasakani clan, and open slits from his sleeves, a large-collared white shirt that was tucked in and was half-buttoned to expose his chest, red pants with a belt attached to each of his knees, a large black belt with a gold buckle, a smaller black belt that hangs loose on the side of his hip, tan shoes with black buckles, a black choker, and a black necklace.

Shin wore a black racer jacket, black shirt, a pair of blue jeans, black shoes, a long black belt that hangs out from the side of his hip like a tail, and a pair of black fingerless padded gloves. He also wore a white headband around his head to compliment his attire.

Yasakani: There is a tournament starting and the registrations are tommorow. There are gonna be 32 teams participating, we know that Saiki, Magaki, and Mukai are gonna participate in it.

Ryoma: We know, but you know the rules of the tournament.

Shin: A Tag-Battle Team, We can switch out with our teams during the battles. We can win by knocking out our entire opponents.

Yasakani: We have to keep our identities a secret until we fight in the first rounds.

Shin/Ryoma: RIGHT!

Shin took out a strange red mask and put it on [The one Chizuru wore in 2003, while Yasakani and Ryoma had some cloaks on. The three of them rushed towards an unknown area.

[In the park]

Athena was sitting under a tree, she felt lonely without Ashura. She wore her XIII outfit.

She came in the park because that's where she and Ashura spent most of their time at. She suddenly saw a girl that she did not know.

The girl walked towards her and sat next to her.

Akiha: You're Athena Asamiya, the famous pop idol.

Athena: Yes, I am. Who are you?

Akiha: I'm Akiha, I was looking for you.

Athena: What do you want with me?

Akiha: Do you know of a KOF tournament that is hosted by Chizuru Kagura.

Athena: Yes, is that the reason why you were looking for me, to tell me about it?

Akiha: No, I heard that you didn't have any team.

Athena: Yes, I don't have any team.

Akiha: Can you please join my team. I want to make my brothers proud.

Athena: I'll join you. Do you have another teammate?

Akiha: No, but I was looking for that teammate too. Let's look for Kula Diamond.

Athena: Right.

The two of them searched for Kula. After a few hours, they managed to find her sitting beside her lake. She wore her usual outfit.

Athena: Hey, Kula.

Kula turned to see Athena and Akiha coming towards her.

Kula: Athena, what are you doing here?

Athena: Hey Kula, why are you sad?

Kula: The others won't let me participate in this tournament. Who is the girl with you.

Akiha: I'm Akiha, nice to meet you Kula.

Kula: Nice to meet you too Akiha. What do you guys want?

Athena: We are here to ask you to join our team.

Kula: I'd like to join you guys.

The three girls got to know each other well and decided to train together so that they could get stronger.

[Military headquarters]

K', Maxima, and Kris were just sitting down, being lazy. Kris just wanted to go to Kula, but he didn't know where she was.

Kris wore a black shirtsleeve shirt underneath an unzipped black sleeveless motorcycle jacket with silver metal studs, black jeans, a regular sized belt with a large silver buckle, black shoes, a pair of black fingerless biker gloves, and a small chain that hangs from the back pocket to the belt area. He also wore sunglasses and a black bandana on his head to compliment his outfit.

K' wore his usual bikers outfit.

Maxima wore his XIII outfit.

Kris: Guys, shouldn't we train?

K': I don't feel like training.

Kris: Fine, I'm gonna train alone.

Kris went to train alone.

[Kagura mansion]

Kyo, Iori, and Chizuru were at the Kagura mansion.

Kyo wore her KOFM LV2

Iori wore another Iori outfit.

Chizuru wore her priestess outfit.

Kyo: Chiz, why did you host this tournament?

Chizuru: To have fun. We have built a coliseum where the tournament is gonna take place. We are even going to allow the bad guys to participate.

Iori: Are you crazy Chiz.

Chizuru: No, you'll that everything will work out fine.

Then the three of them talked about the very important things.

[Shirayuki mansion]

Azalea and Leone were sparring while Icy was watching their match.

Leone wore her sister's XII outfit.

Azalea wore a blue openly down vest under a long sleeve white buttoned shirt which is folded below the elbows. She has a pink ribbon on the collar, sky blue skirt, black fingerless gloves, black socks and red shoes. She wears black cycling shorts underneath her skirt.

Icy wore a light blue sleeveless shirt under a white short sleeve button shirt with a red laced ribbon at the center of her collar, light blue skirt, black compression shorts underneath, white socks, and blue and white sneakers.

Icy: You can stop now.

Azalea and Leone stopped and walked towards Icy.

Azalea: Mom, how did we do?

Icy: You both got rid of your weaknesses. It's time to get ready for the tournament. Maybe we will find my little Kris and you'll see your twin once again.

Leone: Right.

The three of them spent the rest of their day getting ready for the tournament. All the fighters around the world were training very hard for this tournament. This tournament was gonna be amazing.
