[The next day]
Outside the coliseum, there was Chizuru, Kyo and Iori. Chizuru was gonna give the participants their invitations, So far, they took one invitation for themselves and were waiting for the others. There were cameramen, the tournament was gonna be broadcasted worldwide. There was a crowd outside, who wanted to see the participants.
Shin, Ryoma, and Yasakani were the first ones to arrive, but no one saw their faces, because Shin hid his face with a mask while Ryoma and Yasakani had cloaks.
Chizuru: The second team has arrived. What's the name of your team?
Yasakani: Call us the Ancient Treasures Team, we are here to just have fun beating the stuffing out of our opponents.
Chizuru gave Yasakani the participation card.
Chizuru easily recognized Shin, while she didn't know Yasakani and Ryoma. Kyo and Iori didn't recognize their brothers.
Chizuru: Can we please see your faces.
Ryoma: I would have liked to show you my handsome face beautiful, but our leader will beat me up.
Kyo immediately recognized his brother, he was full of himself and very cocky. Iori saw Yasakani's blue eyes and recognized him.
Then they heard the sound of a helicopter and saw it going down. The helicopter landed on the ground and out of it came out Maxima, then K', everyone expected Kula to come out next, but they got surprised when it was Kris who came out. Everyone remembered the total annihilation he caused at the 12th tournament.
Chizuru: And the 2nd team to arrive consists of the winners of KOF 1999, 2000, and 2001, K' and Maxima, and the winner and dominator of the KOF XII tournament, Kris.
Every girl in the crowd cheered when they saw the handsome face of Kris once again. Kris, K' and Maxima ignored the crowd and went to Chizuru, where they took their card.
Kris then looked at the Ancient Treasures Team and felt their power, he smiled as he knew he made a great decision to participate in this tournament.
Then a limo stopped near them and out of it came out Icy, followed up by Azalea, then came out Leone who wore a cloak. The three of them walked towards Chizuru and stopped in front of her.
Chizuru: And the fourth team has arrived. Who are you?
Icy: I'm Icy Shirayuki, the girl next to me is my daughter, Azalea Shirayuki and the girl next to her will reveal her identity when she fights. You can call us Azalea Team.
Chizuru, Iori, Kyo, Ryoma, Shin, and Yasakani were shocked when they heard Icy's last name. Chizuru and Kyo had learned about the Shirayuki clan and were shocked it was still alive. K'and Maxima were shocked to see Azalea again. Kris felt the hidden power inside of him start to awaken. Icy took the invitation and looked at Kris, she recognized him very easily.
All the men were looking at Azalea and Icy with lust. Icy may be a mother but she still looked like a teenager.
Then three girls arrived and went to Chizuru. Iori and Yasakani got shocked when they saw Akiha.
Chizuru: And the fifth team had arrived. Welcome the famous pop idol Athena Asamiya and Kula Diamond. Who is your third teammate.
Akiha: I'm Akiha Yasakani, the little sister of Iorin.
Everyone got shocked and looked at Iori, who just looked at Akiha. Kyo just looked at his friend.
Iori: Akiha, what are you doing here?
Akiha: I'm here to fight.
Athena took the card from Chizuru and her and her entire team stood next to the Azalea Team.
Then came Japan Team which consisted of Goro, Benimaru, and Shingo. Then Fatal Fury Team which consisted of Terry, Rock, and Kim. Then Ikari Warriors Team which consisted of Leona, Ralf, and Clark, Leone was happy when she saw her sister. Then came Women Fighters Team which consisted of King, Mai, and Yuri. Then came Art Of Fighting Team which consisted of Ryo, Takuma, and Robert.
Three people got in front of Chizuru, they were Nameless, Krohnen, and Angel. Kris and his team looked at them, they knew that they weren't evil but they had to defeat them. They got their card and stood next to everyone.
The next team that came shocked everyone. It was Igniz, Clone Zero and Zero.
Igniz: We are the Neo NESTS Team, we are here to get rid of someone.
They took their card and went to the others. Igniz was glaring at Kris, who just looked at him with hate. Azalea just looked at Zero, she felt betrayed by her father.
The next team that was Orochi Women Team which consisted of Mature, Vice, Shermie. Then came the Orochi Men Team which consisted of Goenitz, Yashiro, and Chris. Then came Krizalid Team which consisted of Krizalid, Kyo-01, Kyo-02, which shocked Kyo. Then came Agent Team which consisted of Vanessa, Blue Mary, and Whip. Then came South Town Team, which consisted of Geese, Billy Kane, and Ryuji Yamazaki. Then came Mark Of The Wolves Team which consisted of Tizoc, B Jennet, and Gato. Then came Rugal Team which consisted of Rugal, Mr Big, and Krauser. Then came Psycho Soldier Team which consisted of Kensou, Momoko, and Bao. Then came Hinako Team which consisted of Hinako, Li Xiangfei, and Hotaru Futaba. Then came Seth Team which consisted of Seth, Lin, and Ramon. Then came Villains Team which consisted of Choi, Chang, and Xanadu. Then came Kaede Team which consisted of Kaede, Moriya, and Yuki. Then came Adel Team, which consisted of Heidern, Saisyu, and Adelheid. Then SNK Team which consisted of Najd, Kukri, and Silver. Then Nakoruru Team which consisted of Nakoruru, Haohmaru, and Rimuru. Then came Genjuro Team which consisted of Genjuro, Earthquake and Basara. Then came Anti-Kyokugeryu Team which consisted of Kasumi, Eiji Kisaragi, and Malin. Then came Ash Team which consisted of Ash Crimson, Shen Woo, and Duo Lon. Then came Elisabeth Team which consisted of Elisabeth, Oswald, and Dolores.
There was one invitation left and everyone were expecting the strongest fighter in the world, Ashura. Then every fighters sensed a sensed a strong evil presence, they all got scared because it was stronger than anything they have ever sensed. Then three people appeared in front of them, one looked like a statue, and two of them looked like humans, they were Saiki, Magaki, and Mukai. Every fighters were looking at Saiki who was the one who radiated the energy that screamed power. Saiki walked towards Chizuru and took the card.
Saiki: I'll take that.
Saiki walked towards Yasakani and stopped in front of him.
Yasakani: How did you get so strong in such a short time?
Saiki: I just unleashed some of my hidden power, can you see the looks of fear in their faces.
Yasakani: I can see them, but you're not gonna win and this time I'll not fall to a sneak attack once again.
Saiki just turned around and walked towards Magaki and Mukai but not before stopping in front of Ash, who was scared of his ancestor's power. Saiki then teleported himself away with Mukai and Magaki.
Chizuru walked towards Athena, she was wondering why Ashura didn't participate in this tournament.
Chizuru: Athena, where is Ashura?
Athena: He went somewhere to train, he said he'll be back after a few years. He is training to control his dark powers, to stop them from being a danger to us.
Chizuru: That's very noble on him.
[Unknown location, Mountain]
Ashura was on the ground, he was very weak and he couldn't stand. His dark power had took over him and he used his entire powers to lock them away, but it left him weak and helpless. He saw five men in Hazmat suits coming towards him, he tried getting on his feet but he couldn't stand. One of the men hit him with a metal pipe in the face, but it didn't do anything to him. They injected him with something weird and he fell unconscious. Two men in the Hazmat suits started dragging Ashura.
Man 1: Target captured, were on our way.
Then they walked away with the two men dragging the unconscious Ashura.
[The next day, Tournament]
Every fighters were in the stands waiting to for their battles.
Chizuru: EVERYONE, WE WELCOME YOU TO THIS TOURNAMENT, WERE THE FIGHTERS ALL AROUND THE WORLD ARE GONNA FIGHT EACH OTHER TO PROVE WHICH TEAM IS THE STRONGEST! ARE YOU READY TO WATCH THE INTERESTING FIGHTS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE IN THIS COLISEUM?
The crowd cheered as they were ready to watch all the fights.
Chizuru: THEN LET THE KING OF FIGHTERS DUSK, BEGIN.
