It was around six thirty pm, the sky was now orange, the sun barely visible. Walking down the dirt road, Ash, Serena, and Kyra had been silent since they saw the mystical bird. Kyra had put the rainbow feather in her jacket pocket. Serena had helped dress her best friend before they left, she found a spare shirt in her backpack. She guessed her mother Delia decided to pack an extra shirt just in case which was lucky for them. At least Kyra won't be wearing just a jacket. It's not due to bad terms, but Pikachu and Kyra are critically injured, and they just want to get to the Pokemon Center. Hopefully the person that works there can help Kyra too. This is an emergency… A few moments later, all three trainers could spot the outline of the city… "Is that Viridian City?" Anne asked. "It sure is Anne this is our first stop." Kyra said.
As they continued to trek, the group made there way to the city. As they passed the city gate, they noticed it was bigger than expected. "Hoop-da-do-boop-ba!" Anne exclaimed at being in a city in this world for the first time. "This is nothing Anne you should see Celadon and Saffron City there the two major cities in the Kanto Region. This is nothing special except there is a gym here." Kyra said. "There are bigger cities else where?" Anne said not believing it her self. Of course she, Ash, and Serena visited this city before, but it was in the past, it has always been by coach to avoid any wild Pokemon, and they have only explored the rental side. This was more than housing city as they saw the sign saying "Viridian's Pokemon Center, 20 minutes and an arrow pointing in the direction, they broke out into a run while they dragged Kyra along due to her injuries. Sure, they were tired, beaten, exhausted, but there friends needed help…
While pushing forward, they heard an announcement throughout the entire town…
"Citizens of Viridian City. Please be on the look out as we reports of Pokemon thieves in the area." A female voice spoke through several intercoms. This didn't make either Kyra, Ash, and Serena feel better, after everything that happened, now they needed to be careful of Pokemon thieves, great. Anne was getting sick, thinking of people that would try to steal her or her new Pokemon friends.
As they ran several streets (Kyra getting dragged along) of houses and flats; they also spotted a peaceful park nearby as they ran, they saw a police station ahead and there is a female police officer that stood outside. She has: Turquoise blue hair which falls mostly behind her head and it's quite big at the bottom; her hair is covered by a dark police hat, which had red lining around the summit, a golden emblem in the centre, and a black flap; a short sleeve dark blue top (the same shade as her hat), a name badge which reads Officer Jenny, it has red lining around the sleeves and collar, the center top is also more of a light blue color, with two pockets; she has a black belt around her waist and a golden buckle; her skirt is the same shade of dark blue, which stands half way between her knees and waist; finally she has smart black shoes, suitable for running. She flagged the three new trainers down.
"Hold it!" Officer Jenny shouted, causing the children stop in front of her. Where do you think your going with that Pikachu?"
"My Pikachu and my sister are seriously injured." Ash pleaded we need to get to the Pokemon Center."
"Please Officer. My trainer had been injured my a flock of Spearow's she need medical attention." Anne pleaded to the Officer.
Officer Jenny was awestruck when that blue frog could talk but decided to focus on her duties and the look of girl that was covered in bandages while holding on to the two other trainers. She decided to let the girl go do to the state she was in. She was way too injured to steal Pokemon.
"Right, my Fennekin needs help too." Serena added. Officer Jenny already decided to drop the girl with the talking frog as a suspect. She wasn't so sure about these two. She studied the two kids for a moment before deciding they were being honest, after all all the reports say the Pokemon thieves are in their early twenties, and these kids are ten, so they don't match the description.
"Alright, I believe you. Let's just see your ID's and you can go. I'll excuse the girl with the talking blue frog because of her injuries."Officer Jenny replied, as she handed out her handled out her hand.
"Umm… you mean our Pokédex's?" Ash asked a little uncertain, but relieved that his sister won't have to show the officer her Pokédex considering the situation she was in, as both himself and Serena pulled out a red devices. Without a word, Officer Jenny took the two devices and opened both up. She pressed a few buttons and the Pokédex's confirmed Ash and Serena's story. Officer Jenny smiled as she handed the devices back.
"Okay kids." Officer Jenny spoke as Ash and Serena each took their Pokédex's. "You're free to go."
"Thank you, Officer… Jenny." The three said in union while looking at her name badge.
"Could you show us the way to the Pokemon Center, please?" Ash requested. I can do better than that." Officer Jenny replied, with an inward smirk. "I'll take you there myself." Before Ash, Kyra, or Serena could respond, Officer Jenny ran into the police station, leaving Ash, Kyra, Anne, and Serena bewildered. "Is she gonna come back or did she just ditched us?" Anne asked with concern. Kyra just shrugged she herself didn't know what to say. They didn't have much time to reflect on it when Officer Jenny came back, but was driving a motorbike that was probably behind the station that's why she ran towards the station. When she stopped in front of them they could make out a side car. "This caused Ash, Serena, and Kyra to sweatdrop. Kyra was even more shocked when Anne shouted "Wooh hoo!" as she hopped on to the bike behind Officer Jenny. Kyra was concerned how they would all fit in the side car since it was small they would be squished. At least Anne would be alright since she decided not to sit with them in the side car.
"Hop in." Officer Jenny instructed. "What are you three waiting for!" Anne shouted since she was getting impatient. Ash, Serena, and Kyra looked at each other. Officer Jenny was a police officer, she knows what she's doing, so they could trust, besides traveling by vehicle is fast than walking, what's the worst thing that could happen… With that, the three kinds climbed into the small sidecar. Ash sat first while holding onto Pikachu in one are while Serena went next, due to the small space Serena ended up sitting on Ash's knee which caused her to blush immensely, Serena helped Kyra into the sidecar which resulted her to sit on her brother's other leg while Serena's and her shoulders were touching. Let's just say when they all got into the side care it was right fit but they would be able to get out when they got to the Pokemon Center. Ash didn't really notice how tight the side car got since he was too focused on Pikachu's health.
With everyone strapped in, the engined revved, Anne hold onto Officer Jenny's back excited for the wild ride. However as Officer Jenny drove off at a dangerous fast speed. They were having second thoughts. Anne shouted "Whoo hoo! Yeah!" clearly she was enjoying the ride which caused them to think how can Anne be enjoying this? Kyra hold on to the side of the side car for dear life and Serena latched onto Ash, for safety… Did this Officer really have a Driver's license? "Can we do some tricks?" Anne asked innocently. Only for Kyra, Serena, and Ash to go pale as they shouted "NNNNNNOOOOO!!!"
Flashback: Frank, Sasha, KJ, and Marcy left the tent as they ran to hurry and find Anne. They were out of the forest when they saw Misty who saw her bike was now fried. "Those kid's did this! First they stole my bike now it's been fried! When I catch those three they are going to pay for what they did to my bike!!" Misty shouted. Frank and the others didn't pay her mind until she said something that made Frank stopped. "How could that blue frog that one of those kids have can talk?" Misty asked out loud. Frank realized that sounded like Anne. "Excuse me miss you said that you see a blue frog that can talk?" Frank asked Misty.
"What's up Frank?" Marcy asked why would he stopped to talk to this girl.
"We are supposed to fine Anne!!" Sasha yelled in annoyance.
"Guys,Frank must have a reason to stop and talked to the girl." KJ said.
"When me and Anne first arrived at this world she was a blue frog while I became some sort of otter. Her description sounded like Anne." Frank said. Which caused the other three to look shock.
Misty was flabbergasted at the sight she heard that those four could talk like the blue frog. "What are you? How come you can talk?!" Misty asked.
Sasha then went towards the girl as she glared at her wanting to get information out of her about their friend. "Where is Anne?! You said there were kids with her!" Sasha yelled at the girl but due to her new pokemon body Misty wasn't threatened by this. "Please miss we just want to find our friend." Marcy asked nicely. Misty decided to tell them about what happened since one of them asked nicely. She wasn't too keen on the orange chick's attitude. Misty explained that she fished out three kids with a Pikachu and the talking blue frog who was concerned about one of the girls since she probably was this Anne person's trainer. The four of them looked shock about this revelation about a trainer. Misty then continued, when she slapped the male one for hurting his Pikachu as they argued she pointed them to Viridian City, the other girl got her hands on her bike. They rode off on her bike with Anne in tow. She notices an army of Spearow that were chasing after them. Then she found her bike charred. Misty finished telling her story.
"What is a trainer?" KJ asked.
Misty was shocked about them not knowing what a trainer is. "You guys are Pokemon yet you don't know what a trainer is?" Misty asked.
Sasha had enough of this girl. "First off we are humans not Pokemon, we got turn into these creatures when we came to this world! Secondly, we want to go home to our human families and back to our original world! If you don't tell us what we want I'll personally make your life a livin-." Sasha's voice was cut off when KJ interject. "I'm sorry about Sasha she's just worried about our friend, we all are. We just want her back." KJ said thinking about Anne. Misty saw there faces some were worried about Anne and the others looked very serious. They didn't look like they were lying. She didn't know what to believe, their story was like some kind of fairy tail but there eyes and their conviction were telling her that they really want help.
Misty sighed at this and decided to help them. "A Pokemon trainer is a person that catches, trains, cares for, and battles with Pokemon." Misty explained what a Pokemon trainer is to the other Pokemon.
"So basically Pokemon are like pets?" KJ asked. Which Sasha and Frank started to get angry thinking about Anne being treated as a pet like a cat and dog. They may have been turned into Pokemon but, that didn't mean people could treat them like animals. Misty facepalmed herself since the little humanoid Pokemon still doesn't get it. "No, they don't! Pokemon are like our partners. They battle for us when us humans can't defend ourselves against wild Pokemon. We take care of our Pokemon friends we feed them, make sure their safe and healthy. Most humans treat Pokemon as their friends and family."
"What do you mean by most?" Frank asked suspiciously.
"Well not all humans are good. Some would steals Pokemon from trainers to sell to the black market. Others would abuse their Pokemon or abandon them." Misty finished explaining. The others were now more worry about Anne thinking that trainer she was with would hurt her.
"What about that girl who was with Anne did she hurt her?" Sasha said with no trust in her voice.
"Well no, when I found her with your friend Anne. She was concern for the the young girl. It didn't seemed that she was abused by her." Misty said honestly.
This made Marcy and KJ calm down knowing Anne wasn't in any trouble. Sasha and Frank weren't too sure about the human Anne had befriended. They had to see her for themselves.
"What are you guys going to do about your friend Anne."
"What do you mean what are we going to do! We are going to find her and she's going with us!" Sasha said angrily.
Misty laughed at her childish plan.
"What so funny!" Sasha said in anger. Misty stopped laughing as she locked eyes with Sasha's.
"Hate to break it to you Sasha but you and your friends don't make that call. Only Anne's trainer does." Misty said.
"Then I'll just force her to give Anne up then." Sasha said with a smug look. Misty looked at her as she gone insane.
"If tried to use force and attack a human. The G-man would be called and capture you and your friends and label you as dangerous creatures. You can forget about getting Anne away from her trainer you would blocked up never seeing the light of day again." Misty finished. They didn't want to be locked up never finding Anne or a way home. They would have to come up with another solution.
"Arghhh!" Sasha yelled in frustration.
"Can we just convince Anne's trainer to release her?" Marcy asked hopefully.
"That could work, but what would you do then? Even is Anne's trainer releases her you guys would be hunted down by Pokemon poachers, or other trainers to be their Pokemon. I think the only safe thing to do is maybe convince Anne's trainer to catch you guys and be her Pokemon. That way no one can capture by other trainers." Misty suggested.
"How would we know Anne's trainer is a good person?" KJ asked.
"How about this I'll tag along so you can meet her and decide what would you do next. Besides I do have cubone to pick with those kids for stealing my bike." Misty said angrily.
"Alright then, my name is Frank Rameriz." The otter Pokemon introduced himself.
"I'm Marcy Wu nice to meet you." The green owl Pokemon said.
"My name is Kenji but people call me KJ." The humanoid Pokemon said.
"Sasha Waybright." The orange chick Pokemon said with less enthusiasm as the others.
"My name is Misty Waterflower." Misty said as they all went down the road to Viridian City. Flashback end.
Now that they were in Viridian City, Misty spotted those kids that took her bike. As she was now carrying the charred with four other Pokemon beside her. Marcy was concerned about Misty warpath behavior since it was similar to Sasha when she gets like that when someone messes with her. They ignored the stares they were reciving. As they walked towards the Pokemon Center knowing they would be there.
"Those three kids will regret messing with me." Misty angrily thought.
"Don't worry Anne will find you." Sasha thought in worry.
With Ash, Serena, Kyra and Officer Jenny tearing up the road, Misty was focused on hunting her prey, while the four humans turn Pokemon marched beside her to find there friend Anne. No one noticed a hot air balloon in the shape of a Meowth. In the basket were three individuals:
The first is a women, Jessie. She has: long snake style dark red hair with a curly tips, sapphire blue eyes, a white long sleeve midriff with a large red R on it and a black short sleeve midriff underneath, a white short skirt, black high boots, green pearl like earrings and a pair of long black gloves.
The second one, is a man, James. He has: shoulder length lavender hair with a small single fringe at the center of his head, green eyes, a white long sleeved undershirt, with white trousers which met him up with black boots and matching black gloves.
The third one, is a Pokemon, Meowth. He has: Pale cream fur, his ears are black lined with light brown inner color, this color also matched his feet and tail end, black fine pupils in his big eyes, a golden yellow charm in the center of his forehead, and six whiskers, two on each side of his head, and two going upwards, surrounding his charm.
"Ugh. Just look at this photo. They complete got my bad side." Jessie moaned in disgust.
"Tell me about it Jessie." James replied. "Whoever chose this terrible picture, they will be sorry they ever looked at this face."
"We're all sorry to look at your face Jimmy." Meowth pipped up, which is weird as it can actually speak human language. "Now stick to the plane." Meowth grabbed a fishing rod and using patients and accuracy, he hooked the corner of the wanted photo and brought it up to the basket.
"Humph." James turned his head to the side." "Your right I suppose."
"Are you ready to steel some rare and valuable Pokemon?" James asked in a sinister tone.
"I'm very ready." Jessie answered in an equally as evil tone.
"And don't forget me! I'm the top cat! Meeeowth!" Meowth added. With the hot air balloon flew off in the same direction, Officer Jenny drove towards a few minutes prior.
As the motorbike closed in on the Pokemon Center, Ash, Kyra, and Serena thought it was all over. They were driving at a dangerous high speed which was only increasing as they got closer and closer to the door. The three ten year olds, shut their eyes as they prepared for the impact.
"AAAARRRRR!" All three of them screamed in fear. Officer Jenny and Anne laughed.
"Hold on kids." She laughed as they sped up again. "I know what I'm doing." Although that didn't ease the two ten year old's, they were going to crash… But, as they were inches away from the doors, they automatically opened, Officer Jenny, threw on the bikes and made a 90 degree turn. The bike flew into the Pokemon Center and the it screeched to a halt, completely stopping in front of the desk.
"See." Officer Jenny smiled. "I told you I know what am I doing."
"Oh my." The nurse behind the desk exclaimed in shock. This is Nurse Joy. She has: bright pink hair and fair skin; a pink Mexican-pink colored dress with a white nurse apron, and low-heel Mary jones shoes. "What's going on."
"Nurse Joy! We have Pokemon and Trainer emergency." Officer Jenny announced as Serena help Kyra out of the side car as Ash carrying Pikachu got out next. Anne hopped off of Officer Jenny's motorcycle and is now next to Kyra.
"Nurse Joy, can you please help my Pikachu and sister?" Ash pleaded as he shown the unconscious mouse pokemon in his arms. Nurse Joy sees Kyra in bandages she guessed this was his sister.
"I understand. As for your sister, I will do what I can to help her. Before a Nurse Joy can be appointed to a Pokemon Center they must be certified to treat Pokemon and human trainers. I can have Chancy heal you sister if she has any internal injuries to stop any bleeding so she can be admitted to a hospital. Once I'm done examining her, but she will have to go to a hospital in Pewter City to examine her eye since the Viridian City hospitals don't have any eye specialist yet and Chancy can only use Floral healing on her body. It can't heal her eye though."
"Thank you Nurse Joy." Ash and Anne said in appreciation.
"Chance, we need one small stretcher and one large stretcher. Stat." A couple of seconds later, a pink egg shaped Pokemon, Chancy, pushed one small stretcher one one hand and one large stretcher in the other hand up to Ash, who carefully lay Pikachu down on the stretcher while Kyra lay on the large stretcher. Serena brought out her Pokédex to scan Nuse Joy's assistant.
Chancy, The egg Pokemon. A rare and elusive Pokemon that is said to bring happiness to those who manage to get it. It shares it's egg with any Pokemon that is injured. Serena's Pokédex spoke.
"Nurse Joy can you give my Pokemon a check up and Anne needs one too." Kyra said.
"What come on Kyra I'm not hurt or sick!" Anne argued. This was like the times that her Mom dragged her to dentist. "Anne please, let Nurse Joy take a look at you. I don't want to leave Viridian City and then get sick on the road when it could be avoided." Kyra said.
Anne sighed as she hopped next to Kyra on the stretcher as Kyra got Eevee's and Joe's Pokeballs. No one noticed that calamity balls were glowing faintly in her backpack.
"Nurse Joy, could you take a look at my Fennekin too please?" Serena asked worriedly as she held the pokeball towards Nurse Joy.
"I'd be happy too." Nurse Joy smiled before she took the Pokeballs from Serena and Kyra as she put them in a container that was on her desk, as she lay it down on Pikachu's stretcher. Nurse Joy pushed Kyra's stretcher with Anne on it. Chancy pushed Pikachu's stretcher towards the same direction the back of the Pokemon Center.
"Well, that my job is done." Officer Jenny spoke "see you kids around and stay out of trouble." With that, Ash and Serena said their thanks and Officer Jenny drove off, leaving the two trainers alone in the Pokemon Center's lobby.
In the back on the Center, Nurse Joy took Kyra to the examination room while Chancy work on healing Anne and the other Pokemon. Nurse Joy did a couple of test like an MRI, X-ray, and CTP scans when Kyra had to lay on a bed that was hooked up to a machine. Nurse Joy wasn't kidding when she said that they were trained for both Pokemon and Human care. As Nurse Joy done examining the pictures of Kyra's organs and brain. Nurse Joy was relieved that there wasn't any eternal bleeding. When she sees the X-ray images she noticed she broke her left arm seeing the deep crack. Nurse Joy thought it was a miracle that Kyra wasn't hemorrhaging in her arms and upper body. Since she changed her bandages. Seeing how severe the damage really was. She saw the scare that was down to her left eye. Unfortunately she wasn't an eye specialist and she could only wrapped a clean bandage over her wounded eye. She also rewrapped her injured arm and put in the Pokemon Center's own sling. Nurse Joy left Kyra on the bed since her health wasn't in danger, Nurse Joy left to see how the other Pokemon were doing. Chancy was in Kyra's room now as she sang a soothing song as Floral healing on Kyra. Her body wasn't hurting her anymore which was an improvement. In the Pokemon room Chancy did a great job for healing the Pokemon. Pikachu was still laying in bed wrapping in bandages and wearing a wired headband with a bulb sticking out as it glow do to Pikachu's electricity.
Anne hopped out of the stretcher as she talked: "Where's Kyra is she going to be okay?" Anne asked with concern. Kyra did tell her that Anne the blue frog Pokemon could talk in human speech. So she wasn't surprised due to Kyra telling her in advance.
"She's with Chancy in the other room. Chancy is healing your friends injuries. Although due to her body being different then a Pokemon's. She will have those marks on her body for the rest of her life or they would clear up. I don't really know. When Chancy finishes singing, I'll do another X-ray to see if her broken arm is healed all the way. Before I release her, you can stay here for a bit if you want. Nurse Joy said. "Thanks but no thanks I'll wait outside with Ash and Serena for a bit." Anne said as she hopped towards the lobby fully healed.
With there Pokemon and Kyra being examined and there clothes dirty from the events of route 1, Ash and Serena went to the bathrooms in the lobby to clean up best they can. Since Nurse Joy is healing Pikachu, Fennekin, Anne and the rest of Kyra's Pokemon including Kyra herself. They couldn't get rooms for the night. While cleaning themselves up, they changed into their bed wear. Ash had changed into a white short sleeved t-shirt with a pokeball in the center, and dark blue athletic shorts.While Serena changed into a plain light pink shirt and pink shorts. Once changed, they followed the signs around the Center, they found a laundry room and set their clothes to wash and Kyra's. Nurse Joy gave them Kyra's clothes to be wash when she saw them in the laundry room. She reassured both Ash and Serena that Kyra was doing fine and that Chancy was now healing her. Much to Ash's and Serena's relief of their friend. Once they finished the laundry they returned to the lobby to see a familiar Froakie waiting for them in the lobby.
"Hi Anne, I see that Nurse Joy has finished examining you." Serena said.
"Well, seeing that Kyra is in the middle of healing my Nurse Joy's Chancy I decided to wait in the lobby. When Kyra finishes her treatment. Plus your pokemon are doing alright. Nurse Joy and Chancy are helping them recovered." Anne told both of them which made both Ash and Serena smile knowing there pokemon where going to be okay.
In the lobby, Ash sat on settee, while Serena went over to the Vending machine to get a drink. Anne sat next to Ash on the settee to wait for Kyra to come to the lobby. Serena brought three soda pops one for, one for Ash, and one for Anne. Anne decided to hop off the settee when she sees posters on the wall so she decided to check it out. Serena stood up to collect the soda pops from the dispenser, she noticed two posters on the wall. The first one is the Pokemon Indigo League challenge both Serena and Anne read the poster.

"Hey Serena, is this what Kyra wants to participate in?" Anne asked Serena. "Yes, this is what Ash and Kyra had plan on competing in the Indigo League from some time. This is what they are going to be doing while we travel all of Kanto." Serena said as she turned to see no one was there talking to her. "I'm down here." Anne instructed Serena to look down. Serena sees Anne down to the floor right next to her. "Ahhh!" Serena yell in surprise. "Everything alright Serena?" Ash asked in worry. "No, everything's good." Serena reassured Ash. "I just got startled by Anne suddenly showing up next to me." Serena said. Ash nodded as he understood as he went back to waiting for news on Pikachu's and his sister's condition. "Anne why'd you scare me like that?" Serena asked the little blue frog Pokemon. "Hahahaha." Anne giggled. "Sorry about that Serena couldn't resist." Anne said. Serena smiled although she doesn't really get Anne's sense of humor at least she's was happier now. Ever since the Spearow incident she was really sad about Kyra. Serena thought. "Hey what's that poster over there?" Anne asked. Anne pointed at the poster next the Indigo League one.
Serena and Anne looked at the Battle Chateau challenge:
Do you like fashion? Do you like battle'? Then combine the two with the new battle Chateau challenge. Dress up compete in a knock out tournament, raise your rank up the Grand Duke or Dutchess.
Facilities: Viridian, Pewter, Cerulean, Vermillion, Lavender, Celadon, Saffron, Fuchsia, and Cinnabar. To compete enter at the Château facilities all around the Kanto Region. Anne thought about it maybe she and Kyra can participate in the Battle Chateau together. Even though she can't dress up in this form. When Anne turned to see Serena to see what she thinks Anne looked flabbergasted when she sees Serena as a giggling mess. Anne wonders what she's thinking about.
"BattleChateau… That could be interested." Serena thought as she had an image of herself in a big fancy clothes, with Fennekin in her arms, and Ash by her side, being handed a big golden trophy, with the crowd cheering then Ash sweeps her off her feet, holding her in his arms, and he'll lean down, there lips mere inches to apart then…
"Uh… Serena." "Hey Serena." Anne and Ash called out, snapping out of her 'Ash-Anticy'. "What are you looking at?"
"Oh, Ash." Serena replied, trying to not show her embarrassment for having another 'Ash-Anticy'. "Just looking at these posters."
"Cool. The Indigo League. Me and Kyra better register while we're here." Ash commented as he inspected the first poster.
"Yeah." Serena replied. "I also saw this one."
"Ash, Serena, would Kyra like to participate in the Battle Chateau with me?" Anne asked.
Ash and Serena looked at each other for a moment when they remembered Kyra also wanted to be a Pokemon coordinator and Battle in other Pokemon Leagues. Since Kyra was younger she always watch past Coordinator circuits on TV. Her favorite Coordinator was a Miss Berlitz who's home region was in Sinnoh. She always felt happy when seeing her perform with her Glameow. Kyra wanted to enter those contests so she studied contests by watching performances on tv. and read books on the subject while taking notes on specific attacks that can go together.
Our Mom decided to send sis to a school in Rustbero City, in the Hoenn Region that has a Coordinator class in there elite school for the summer. We thought Kyra would be overjoyed by this experience but we are wrong. When Kyra got back however she was in tears. She said she never want to be a coordinator again. She put her notebook in the trash as she never wanted to see it again. Ash decided to keep Kyra's notebook in secret. He hoped that someday Kyra would get her passion back for contests. To this day Ash and Serena never knew what happened in Hoenn. Kyra clammed up about the whole experience. So they didn't know how to help her.
Ash thought for a second before giving Anne his answer: "Kyra would allow you and her to participate in this since you are interested in the battle chateau." Ash said as he chose his words carefully considering how Kyra would react. Anne wasn't sure this was the answer she was looking for but decided to drop it.
"The Battle Chateau." Ash turned his attention to the second poster, and spoke through fully.
"Yeah, I thought it would be good to check out." Serena enthusiastically replied, she was getting pumped about maybe finding a dream.
"Hmm…" Ash hummed thoughtfully as he read it. I think it'd be great for you. You're really great with fashion and this sounds perfect for you." Serena blushed at Ash's words of praise.
"Hehehe. Thanks Ash." Serena almost whispered in a sweet tone.
"We should probably call home while we wait. I bet our mums would like to know we're here." Ash suggested not noticing Serena's previous tone. Serena nodded in agreement and they walked over to the video phones, in the process, Serena handed Ash and Anne one soda pop each.
"Do you mind if I call my mum first?" Serena asked.
"Not at all." Ash smiled as he gestured towards the chair. Serena smiled as he gestured her towards the chair. Serena smiled, Ash could be so gentleman like. Serena took her seat and dialed her home number, hitting the call button. It was about thirty seconds before someone picked up the other end. The screen lit up, and Grace appeared on the other side.
"Oh, hello Serena." Grace spoke cheerfully.
"Hi mum." Serena cheerfully replied. "Me, Ash, and Kyra are traveling together and we've made it to Viridian City." Grace got a surprised look, not that they've made it Viridian as Route 1 isn't that big, but because she got to travel with Ash.
"Well. It's good to see you've arrived safe." Grace replied. "I knew you could do it." Serena blushed, she knew her mother was referring to asking to travel with Ash, but the truth was, he asked her. Her daughter's reaction caused Grace to giggle, teasing Serena was too easy.
Anne looked at Serena as she thought playfully that Serena had a crush on Ash. She'll definitely ship this Seresh or Asena for their couple name. As she gave Serena a playfully smile.
"She knew Serena could do it? What does she mean by that?" Ash thought with confusion.
"Is Ash and Kyra with you now?" Grace asked.
"Yes… Ash is here but Kyra's with Nurse Joy right now." Serena replied nervously, she didn't want to say anything her mother could tease her with. Also she didn't want to tell Grace what happened to Kyra when they were in Route 1. With mention of his name, Ash pushed his previous thought to the back of his mind and made his way over to Serena's side.
"Evening Ms. Yvonne." Ash greeted. Grace sighed, guess he never stop with the formalities.
"Ash. It's good to see you." Grace smiled. I'm also happy Serena won't be out there on her own. Can you promise to look out for her?"
"Sure. I won't let anything bad happen to her." Ash smiled, in the back of his mind, he remembered the promise he made to Serena about sticking together, but that doesn't mean he can't be protective.
"Thank you Ash." Grace thanked with gratitude, after everything he has done for Serena since moving, she knew she could trust him and his sister. With that, the mother and daughter stayed making general chat. When Grace asked about their first day adventurers, both ten year olds and Anne sweat dropped and explained the 'quite stroll' down Route 1, conveniently forgetting the part of almost dying and being chased by an army of Spearow. Anne didn't blame them for not telling her the truth of what happened. She too didn't exactly tell her parents everything either since it would be for the best they didn't know like forging her grades on her report cards for example. Anne thought. After a few more minutes, an alarm went off in the Ynnove house, which promoted them to end the call.
With that, Ash and Serena changed seats. Anne jumped on to the table next to the phone. Once comfy, Ash dialed his and Kyra's house number and hit the call button. Like before, it took around half a minute before the screen lit up. The image was of Ash's living room, although Delia wasn't there…
"Evening Ketchum residence." Delia spoke off screen.
"Hi mum." Ash replied "It's me." At the sound of Ash's voice, Delia rushed to the phone, and sat down.
"Good evening Mrs. Ketchum." Anne said. Delia smiled of hearing Kyra's Pokemon friend.
"Hello dear and Anne." Delia smiled as she greeted them. "I see your at Viridian City. It took your father four days to get there when he first started his journey." Ash frowned, he and Kyra don't need like their father, he and Kyra weren't blind, they knew Drake don't like them, and their father is the key reason for that. Plus the man himself is hardly ever around, their lucky if they see him once a year.
"Yeah mum. We're at Viridian's Pokemon center." Ash mumbled. Delia sighed, it seems Ash and Kyra still had issues with their father, if only those two knew the real reason why…
"Now Ash…" Delia smiled so sweetly. "HOW COULD YOU DO SOMETHING SO RECKLESS!"
"I don't know what yet, but I know you done something dangerous." Delia explained. Ash laughed nervously as he scratched the back of his head as he And Anne sweat dropped.
"Ya see mum. I tried to catch a Pidgey… It ended up, angering a nearby Spearow… Who called in some friends, and chased us all the way to Viridian. Kyra got hurt in the process while we were being chased. Anne was able to protect Kyra though." Ash nervously replied, conveniently missing the part of jumping into the river, and almost being fried alive by a Thunderbolt.
"Ash…" Delia sighed. She knew how Ash can be. She was worried about Kyra though. She wondered what happened to her Daughter when she didn't see her with Ash.
"Sorry, mum." Ash mumbled. "But it was all a complete accident."
"Mrs. Ketchum I'm sorry that I couldn't protect your daughter more than what I did on Route 1." Anne said in guilt.
"Anne dear, You were able to protect my daughter when those Spearow attack. Kyra is still alive because of you. Don't beat yourself too hard." Delia said smiling.
Anne looked shock that Delia didn't chew her out about what happened to her daughter.
"Okay dear." Delia turned to Ash as she admit defeat. She knew she could yell at Ash until she is blue in the face and it would have no-effect. "Just promised me you and your sister to stay safe no-matter what comes up? Anne I will be counting on you to continue you to keep Kyra safe." Ash and Anne smiled as they both nodded, they knew Delia would worry.
"I promise to keep Kyra safe from harm." Anne replied.
"Sure mum. I promise." Ash replied
"Now that your in Viridian, why don't you and Kyra go visit Aunt Yellow when Kyra finishes her check up." Delia suggested. "I'm sure she'll be happy to see you two again." Ash smiled, he and Kyra has seen their aunt in a few months, she doesn't really go out much and and always attached himself, Kyra, and Drake… Ash wondered if something happened before.
"Sure mum. I'd love to see her again." Ash agreed with a smile. "I'm sure Kyra wants to see her too. We'll both go tomorrow." After a little general chat, the Pokemon Center's chime went off and Nurse Joy appeared, back to her desk. With that, Ash said goodbye and hung up he knows about Kyra's condition thanks to Anne. Now he can finally find out how Pikachu is doing.
Ash, Anne, and Serena made there way over to the desk where Nurse Joy was waited.
"Nurse Joy!" Ash shouted as he made his way over, clearly excited. "How's my Pikachu and my sister?!" Startled at first, she soon relaxed with a warm smile, it was heartwarming to see a trainer care for there pokemon and their sibling so much.
"Your sister has no internal injuries that's a very good sign. Chancy has finished healing your sister. However, your sister will have scares on her arms, upper body and her face. Chancy was able to heal the scratch on her mouth so it won't leave a scare. She will have to live with those scares for the rest of her life. As for her eye, like I said before I'm not an eye specialist so she'll have to go to the hospital in Pewter City to get a doctor to see her eye. She does have an hair lined fracture in her left arm. Make sure she wears the cast for a month so her arm can properly heal. I will be able to remove the bandages on her arm and upper body by tomorrow." Nurse Joy explained his sister's progress.
"As for your Pikachu will be just fine. Nurse Joy reassured. "He's exhausted his electrical supply, which caused him to collapse. Chancy did all she could to help Pikachu. Now he needs rest so he can recover. "He's currently in the recovery room your sister is watching over him, being recharged." Ash sighed in relief, he was happy Pikachu was safe.
"Can I see him?" Ash asked.
"Of course." Nurse Joy replied. "Chancy is currently setting up the recharger, when she's done, I'll have her show you through."
"Nurse Joy. What about my Fennekin?" Serena asked, appearing from behind Ash.
"Your Fennekin is just fine." Nurse Joy smiled as she handed over the pokeball. "Here you go. By the way I was able to give your friend back her Pokemon. Since they are healed and doing well. Serena smiled and thanked Nurse Joy as she excepted her Pokeball back. She quickly let Fennekin out, who jumped into her trainers arms with a happy bark, completely unaware of what transpired while resting in her pokeball. It wasn't long before Chansey appeared and escorted the two trainers to the room, which Pikachu was recharging in.
Chansey lead the two trainers and Anne into the recovery bay, when they arrived, with Pikachu was laying on a bed, still unconscious, with cables taped up to his cheeks and some sort of computer screen, to the side, showing the mouse Pokemon's vital signs. Nurse Joy took off the light bulb headband when she was measuring Pikachu's electrical powers. She had to admit it was above average than the other Pikachu
's electricity.
They see Kyra now wearing a purple t-shirt on it is a picture of a Poliwag and purple shots with a blue line along the side. This was Kyra's nightwear that their mum packed for her. They notice she is wearing a sling and a cast on her left arm. As see eye bandages on her right arm and upper body. When Kyra turned to them her left eye was still covered in bandages as they could see that Kyra had three scares on her face the last one was hiding behind the bandages of her left eye. Nurse Joy wasn't kidding when she said Kyra will have scares.
Ash and Anne saw this and water formed their eyes, he hadn't been a trainer for a day, if he wasn't so naive and tried to catch Pidgey by himself, then he wouldn't of angered that Spearow, and they wouldn't of been chased, Kyra and Pikachu wouldn't have gotten hurt to protect them. Anne have similar thoughts. She hadn't been Kyra's Pokemon that long and she feels like she failing miserably. She may have saved Kyra from those Spearow's with Pikachu's help, now she'll have permanent scars on her body for the rest of her life. Even though Kyra's mum trusted her to protect her daughter. She wasn't sure if she was able to protect her since she felt more of a burden to her ever since they met. Anne went up to Kyra as Anne hopped into her arm. Kyra smiled at Anne. As they both watch Ash slowly but quitely walk towards Pikachu's bed.
He stood over him with a depressed expression on his face.
"I-I'm sorry… Pikachu." Ash quietly mumbled, suddenly, Ash felt a hand rubbing his back in a comforting manor. It was Serena.
"Don't worry Ash. Nurse Joy and Anne said Pikachu and Kyra will be just fine." Serena reassured with a friendly smile. "You went above and beyond to keep me and Pikachu safe. Kyra did as well to protect all us from those Spearow's. I'm sure Pikachu is thankful for that."
"Thanks Serena." Ash thanked with gratitude, he didn't know why, but she could change his mood around in an instant.
The two of them sat down in silence while Kyra stand next to them with Anne in her arm. It was awkward by any means, it was just neither of them had anything to say , and were just wanting for Pikachu to wake up. After about ten minutes, Ash's stomach growled. Although, unlike before Ash didn't respond, he was solely focused on Pikachu.
"Hey Ash… Don't you want some food?" Serena asked.
"Bro you got to eat something. It's not healthy to skip a meal." Kyra said in worry for her brother.
"No… I'm just gonna wait here for Pikachu to wake up." Ash replied, although it was without thought and his eyes never left his starter Pokemon, no matter what Nurse Joy and Anne said. Ash would worry until Pikachu wakes up.
"Me and Serena are going to feed our Pokemon dinner then get something to eat." Kyra let his brother know what they were going to do. "I'll bring you something back." Serena said. Ash didn't reply, he was too focused on his partner. Kyra and Serena sighed, Serena couldn't stand seeing him like this, he didn't bother with food… What did he do with the real Ash.
Kyra worried about the mental state her brother was in, he didn't even want to eat anything. Which shocked her since he loves to eat. Kyra prays that Pikachu wakes up soon. She didn't know how much she can take seeing him like this.
With that, Serena and Kyra took off while she carry Anne.
Kyra released both Joe and Eevee as she pour them there dinner. Joe and Eevee were worried when they saw the state she was in. Joe blamed himself for not helping Kyra in her time of need. Kyra reassured them that everything was going to be okay. Joe and Eevee thanked Anne for saving Kyra. Although she didn't feel like she deserved their gratitude. When dinner for her Pokemon was done she returned both Eevee and Joe. As she and Anne went to the cafeteria seeing Serena grabbing a salad box while she grabbed a sandwich for Ash. Kyra grabbed herself a sandwich as she, Serena, and Anne were going back to the recovery bay to give Ash his dinner. They were stopped when going through the lobby…
"I'VE FINALLY FOUND YOU!" A female voice angrily blurted out. Serena, Anne and Kyra turned around to see Misty marching towards them with some wreaked remains on her back. When she was in front of Serena, Anne and Kyra. Kyra put Anne down. Kyra noticed there were Pokemon next her. One was a orange and yellow chick, one was a green and cream colored owl like pokemon, another was a humanoid psychic type Pokemon, and the last was a blue and white otter Pokemon. Kyra wondered why those Pokemon were here.
"Anne." The otter Pokemon said. Anne recognized Frank's voice he found her.
"Frank!" Anne said in excitement that her exfriend found her.
The three other Pokemon ran over to Anne as they give her a big group hug with laughter and joy as they haven't seen each other in a week.
"Oh, my gosh! I can't believe that it's you!" Sasha/orange chick smiles.
"Oh, my gosh. Your here too?" Anne laughs.
"I can't believe it!" KJ/humanoid psychic pokemon smiles.
"You, me, here?" Marcy/green and cream colored owl looked happy to see Anne.
"I know! I know! I missed you guys so much!" Anne hugs her friends once again.
"(giggles) Oh, I missed you too! I see you turn into a Pokemon just like we did." Marcy giggled.
"Yeah, It was weird at first but you get used to it. I'm so happy your all okay. (Are Andy, Darrel, Ivan, Ethan, and Tyler are with you too?)" Anne asked.
"Don't worry Anne, will find them. I promise." Sasha said.
Kyra and Misty were happy that they found each other. Kyra then notices the blue and white otter smiled but then it disappeared as though he remembered something that saddened him. Then Misty turned to them with angry expression on her face.
"What happened to your bike?" Serena asked, nonchalantly. All though Kyra could guess Pikachu was the one that destroyed Misty's bike.
"WHAT HAPPENED!" Misty yelled. "YOU, YOUR FRIEND, AND YOUR BOYFRIEND HAPPENED!" Serena blushed, did she just call Ash her boyfriend… If only… Kyra worried if Anne's friends had heard that. She didn't want them to know that Serena has a crush on her brother yet.
"You stole it and apparently ruined it in the process." Misty explained, clearly angry. "You have to buy me a new bike. RIGHT NOW!" Serena and Kyra were liking this girl less and less. First, she slapped Ash and accused him of hurting Pikachu; then she just called Ash her boyfriend… What if Ash and Anne heard that… Plus, does she have to yell so much…
"Hold on!" Kyra yelled back. "We we're being chased by a flock of angry Spearow, and Pikachu needed urgent medical attention. Our only concern was our Pokemon." Kyra retorted, both Kyra and Serena didn't have the heart to correct her bout Ash being Serena's boyfriend thing.
"Well still! I'm not letting you out of my sight until you paid for my bike." Misty retorted.
"Urg, my bike my bike! Are you some sort of mental materialist or something?" Serena angrily asked.
"What's that suppose to mean?!" Misty angrily asked asked.
"It means your a spoiled brat. Pikachu is lying in the recovery room unconscious, Kyra was really hurt trying to protect us from those Spearow's. If it hadn't been for Anne Kyra wouldn't have… Serena said softly she was ready to be close to tears. As Kyra rubbed Serena's back with her good arm to calm her down. Misty and the rest of Anne's friends now saw the state Kyra was in. They most of her body bandages up and most of the scares on her face. KJ and Frank looked worried about her. Sasha may not trust Kyra but she admired how she protected Anne. All though she is saddened by her pain. Marcy looked mortified when she's Kyra like this. "Anne what happened?" Macy asked softly. As Anne explained how Kyra had gotten hurt by those Spearow's. Which Marcy looked down in shame that her actions that brought them here may have caused other people to get hurt. She thought silently.
Misty froze, sure she cared about being repaid for the bike, but she would never put something like that over the priority of a Pokemon's and a person's well being, maybe she is a little hot headed. Misty was about to reply when… BBBOOOOOOMMM! An explosion went off in the lobby and black smoke blinded the girls and Pokemon…
In Pikachu's room, the mouse Pokemon has since woken up. It turned out, sacrificing himself to the Spearow's to protect the little Mon, Serena and the rest of the gang was the final nail in the coffin, Pikachu could trust Ash. The two boys were just chatting, turns out they have a lot in common. Maybe Anne was right about giving him a chance. Pikachu thought. As they continued to talk, their attention was drawn out by a loud… BBBOOOOOOMMM! Coming from the lobby. Ash jumped up and moved towards the door to investigate, although was stopped when Pikachu jumped on his shoulder.
"No Pikachu, you haven't fully recharged yet." Ash warned.
"If your going, I'm going." Pikachu retorted.
"But your still injured, Pikachu." Ash pleaded.
"It's merely a scratch." Pikachu joked. Ash sighed, as he learned from their chat, Pikachu is much like Ash himself.
"Your not going to just wait here, are you?" Ash asked in a defeated tone.
"Not a chance." Pikachu replied proudly.
"Fine." Ash sighed. "As long as you promise not to exhaust yourself."
"Scouts honor." Pikachu smugly raised his paw, why was Ash skeptical about Pikachu keeping his promise. With that Ash ran down the hall towards the lobby, with Pikachu on his shoulders.
In the Lobby, Ash and Pikachu busted through the doors to see a star shape Pokemon, a green and cream owl Pokemon and Joe as they created a gust of wind to blow the smoke away. Ash pulled out the Pokédex to scan the star Pokemon: Staryu, The Star shaped Pokemon. An enigmatic Pokemon that can effortlessly regenerate any appendage it lost in battle. The core of this Pokemon is valued as some type of jewelry.
Ash saw it was the orange haired girl from earlier, who was battling with Staryu. "Leave it too a girl, to worry about their Jewelry." After that thought, Ash noticed that his sister's Pidgey Joe and a couple other Pokemon he never seen were next to Anne. When the smoke cleared up they saw two adults and three pokemon all stood in the entrance.
"Okay Staryu, that's enough. You can stop rapid spin." Misty instructed and the water type stopped spinning and returned to Misty's side. "Joe, that's enough for now. You did great. Uh… you too, green owl Pokemon I never seen before." Kyra praised both Pokemon but doesn't know the owl Pokemon's name. She does know it is one of Anne's missing friends. "Aw, thanks. My name is Marcy… Marcy Wu by the way." Marcy said. That was when the group started to…? Speak?
"Prepare for trouble." Jessie spoke.
"Make it double." James spoke.
"To protect the world from devastation." Jessie added.
"To unite all people within our nation." James added.
"To denounce the evils with truth and love." Jessie strike a dramatic pose.
"To extend our reach to the stars above." James strike a dramatic pose.
"Jessie."
"James."
"Team Rocket blasts off with the speed of light." Jessie made one final pose.
"Surrender now, or prepare for a fight." James made one final pose.
"Meowth that's right." Meowth chimed at the end. Ash, Kyra, Serena, Pikachu, Fennekin, Joe, Anne, Marcy, Frank, KJ, Sasha, Misty, Staryu, and Nurse Joy all sweat dropped, although but Ash, Kyra, we're amazed at a talking Pokemon, to them all Pokemon are like that. Anne and the rest of her friends thought Meowth was one of their missing friends. Anne was the first to recover.
"Hey you, are you one of our missing friends that got transported here on Earth?" Anne asked Meowth.
"The blue frog can talk?" Meowth said in surprise as Jessie and James mouths dropped at this revelation.
"It can talk just like you Meowth." Jessie said in amazement.
"What do you mean my transported? Our Meowth here was born and raised in this region. He was able to talk by months of practice." James gloated.
Which saddened Anne that Meowth wasn't one of their missing friend's as KJ comfort her.
"Hey Serena. I didn't know the circus was in town." Ash enthusiastically smiled. "We should go." "Now that you mentioned it those three look like a bunch of clowns." Sasha said in a sassy tone. Team Rocket fell in anime style.
"Little twerps." Jessie spat in disgust.
Sasha looked ticked off at Jessie that she said that.
"We are the might of Team Rocket and we're here to steal all your rare and valuable Pokemon." James smirked evilly.
"Meowth, that's right Jimmy boy." Meowth added.
"Well your out of luck, this is a place for injured Pokemon, so just leave." Nurse Joy shouted, although she was terrified.
"We'll be the judge of that." Jessie smirks evilly. "We should start with that small chick Pokemon that was so rude earlier, and her little friends too. Will start with those first. Maybe later will take the Vulpix look alike. I never seen that Pokemon before." As Jessie pointed at Anne and her friends while looking at Serena's Fennekin.
"Over my dead body! Your taking any of my friends!" Sasha shouted angrily at Team Rocket.
"That can be arranged pip squeak!" Jessie yelled at Sasha. Only for her to look like she was ready to brawl.
"I'm going to stop you. You three are not kidnapping them!" Frank shouted in disgust for suggesting that as he raised his shell high like a sword.
Serena's Fennekin was hiding behind Serena's legs. Serena, had been frozen in fear since they arrived. The same with Marcy, she looks terrified of possibly being taken away from her friends, after all they just reunited with each other.
"Your not taking Anne or her friends! I made a promise that I will find the rest of her friends and help them get back home! I may not know the rest of Anne's friends but I know they are important to her. So you can forget about taking any of them!" Kyra glared at the trio with her good eye. This made Anne smiled at Kyra. While the others were touched by Kyra proclamation.
"Kyra's right, There's no way we'll let you take any of these Pokemon." Ash shouted. "Not Fennekin. Not Pikachu. Not Anne and her friends. None of them." Serena felt a rush of affection that Ash is standing up for her, she is grateful that Kyra is standing up to Team Rocket too, sure they made a promise, but she still likes him being protective, just not to the point where they are risking their lives.
"That's not you choice." James evilly smirked. "Koffing, go."
"Ekans, join in." Jessie added. The two poison types flew out in front of the two thieves. Ash, Kyra and Serena brought out their Pokédex's:
Koffing, The Poison gas Pokemon. Because it stores several kinds of toxic gases in it's body, it is prone to explode without warning. The gases in this Pokemon cause it to float in the air. Ash's and Kyra's Pokédex spoke.
Ekans, The Snake Pokemon. Moves silently and stealthy. Eats the eggs, of birds such as Pidgey and Spearow. It can release the toxins in its body as a defense mechanism. Serena's and Kyra's Pokédex spoke. Kyra noticed that Joe is shaken up at the sight of the Ekans since it looked at him with predator eyes.
"Serena do you want to battle these guys?" Ash asked. Serena blushed lightly her first real battle, and partnered with Ash, she must be dreaming.
"Sure." Serena replied as she swapped the blush with a glare of determination. "Fennekin I choose you." Fennekin barked with determination as she leaped out in front of the two poison types. Despite being intimidated, she didn't show it.
Sasha was ready to walk up to the battle field when Joe raised his wing to stop her for going further. "Hey what's the big idea let me through!" Sasha shouted at Joe.
"I… want… to… fight… to…protect…you…guys…I…want…to… make… up… for failing to protect Kyra." Joe said with a shaken voice but was determined to protect his friends." Anne looked at Joe in his eyes she sees that he blames himself for what happened to Kyra during the Spearow incident. A feeling herself knew too well. "Okay Joe, I'll let you fight this battle. Joe smiled at Anne as he flew in front to battle the two poison types. Which surprised Kyra but at the same time proud of Joe for facing his fears.
"Anne you can't be serious! Your letting him battle for us?! Let me battle…" Sasha said before Anne cut her off.
"Sasha! We don't have much experience in these new bodies. I was lucky that I was able to protect Kyra at all. We would be getting in the way instead of helping. Plus Joe really wants to redeem himself for what happened with the Spearow's. I have the same guilt as he does. Please Sasha let Joe fight." Anne pleaded.
"This isn't cute anymore Anne. I'm going up there and protect us from those weirdo's. END OF DISCUSSION." Sasha said darkly as she glared at Anne. Anne felt really bad as she crumbled like she did on Earth. Frank wasn't to happy of how Sasha was treating Anne.
Saha went up to the battle field as she went up in front of the battlefield. Before she could talk Joe about switching places. Kyra picked Sasha up in her arms to her anger and surprise of this action.
"Where do you think your going." Kyra said in a irritated voice.
"What does it look like I'm going to fight and protect my friends!" Sasha yelled at her.
"No your not! Joe is fighting this battle. I'm not letting you under-mind him. This isn't your decision to make its the trainers job not the Pokemon's."Kyra said firmly as she handed Sasha over to Nurse Joy as she returned to Joe's side. This shocked Anne and her friends. While Frank smirked at the scene.
Which enraged her that someone stood up to her. What's worse she is three years younger then her. Sasha tried to struggle to break free of Nurse Joy's grip she even pecked her arms. Chansey used sing so Sasha would fell asleep. Sasha tried to force her self awake. A few minutes she fell asleep.
"Alright Pikachu. You up to battle?" Ash asked as he turned to his yellow partner.
"Just try and stop me." Pikachu replied with determination as he sparked his cheeks.
"Alright Pikachu, I choose you." Ash pointed to the battle field and Pikachu jumped from Ash's shoulders and landed next to Fennekin and Joe.
"Joe, I choose you." Kyra said in a serious voice. Joe smiled at Kyra as they prepare for battle.
Ash, Kyra, and Serena VS Jessie and James
"Ekans bring me that little fox, bite attack." Jessie smirked. Ekans lunged at the fire fox with it's mouth wide open.
"Dodge it Fennekin!" Serena shouted. Fennekin jumped to the left, avoiding the snake Pokemon's attack.
"Tackle the runt, Koffing." James butted in. As Fennekin flew threw, the poison gas Pokemon flew at a fast speed, knocking Fennekin back down.
"Hey what a dirty trick." Serena cried.
"We're here for your Pokemon girly." Jessie spoke with a snide voice. "We didn't come here to play by the rules."
"Alright Koffing, blind it with sludge attack." James commanded. Koffing opened it's mouth and launched a blob of toxic sludge at Fennekin, but she was back into a corner.
"Staryu, dissolve it with water gun!" Misty shouted, Staryu jumped into action and squirted a jet of water, collided with the sludge blob before it hits Fennekin and dissolved it into thin air.
"Joe, Tackle that Koffing!" Kyra shouted as Joe tackled Koffing with full force which send it flying.
"Hey, three against one isn't fair." James cried.
"I thought you didn't play by the rules." Misty mocked, as Jessie saw red.
"Thanks…Misty." Serena thanked with a genuine smile.
"No problem." Misty replied, returning the smile.
"UUURRRGGGG!" Jessie grunted in frustration. "Ekans wrap that stupid star!" Ekans lunged forward while the two girls chatted and wrapped it's body around Staryu.
"Joe use Sand Attack to blind Ekans!" Kyra commanded. "Fennekin help Staryu out. Use scratch."Serena shouted. Joe kicked sand in Ekan's eyes, while Fennekin extended her sharp claws and flew at Ekans.
"Tackle them, Koffing!" James smirked.
"Pikachu, Quick Attack Koffing." Ash shouted. Pikachu shot off like a bullet, and hit Koffing into a wall. Fennekin continued to scratch Ekan's face, while Joe kept kicking sans in it's eyes. The two poison types were lying on top of each other.
"Staryu returned those two, with rapid spin." Misty smirked. Staryu jumped and started spinning at a fast rate. It collided with the two poison types that send flying back at Jessie, James, and Meowth. Pikachu, Joe, Fenniekin, and Staryu jumped in front of the evil team as they attempted to get up.
"Pikachu."
"Joe."
"Fennekin."
"Staryu."
"Thunder Shock."
"Gust."
"Ember."
"Water gun."
The four spoke at once, respectively. The four Pokemon launched there individual attacks at the grouped target. Despite the water and wind, combined of Pikachu's electricity, Fennekin's fire and Koffing gas, caused a mini explosion, which in turn send the two humans and three Pokemon flying, creating a whole in the roof. "TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF!" The group shoulder as they disappeared into the sky…
The group of trainers and Pokemon all turned towards each other, Anne and her friends excluded Sasha looked at the others with interest. They stared for a moment when…
"WE WON!" Ash, Kyra, Serena, Anne and her friends (excluded Sasha) they cheered in union as Joe was on Kyra's shoulder while Pikachu and Fennekin leaped into his trainers arms, respectively, equally as happy with there victory as their trainers. Anne and the others were so happy they weren't going to be taken by Team Rocket. Staryu returned to Misty's side, it is a tough Pokemon, brave natured and doesn't need affection after every win.
"Good job Staryu. You're the best." Misty praised as she bend down to her starter, with a friendly smile. "Now return." Staryu, did enjoy some praise though, and happily was returned.
After returning their starter, Misty stood up and smiled at the celebrating trainers and Pokemon.
"Oh, thank you all so much. If it wasn't for you four, then those Pokemon thieves could've taken any of the Pokemon here." Nurse Joy thanked. It was the first time, that they noticed the damage being done. Anne and her friends were in shock at the damage of the Center. Sasha just woke up when she sees the damage. She didn't see those clowns, so she guessed that the others were able to defeat them. Sasha was in more shock that the puny bird was still standing. She was sure it was going to lose but now she wasn't so sure. When the trainers noticed: the automatic door were blown open, the window smashed and the shattered glass over the floor, chairs, and settee's, were turned over and damaged, while the whole area was covered in soot, and the floor was covered in cracks and damage.
"Hehehe, sorry about the damage Nurse Joy." Ash apologized with a nervous laugh.
"I'm sorry too Nurse Joy. Is there anything I can do to help?" Kyra asked wanting to make amends for the damages.
"Don't worry about it." Nurse Joy reassured as she waved her hand to show no harm done. "All Pokemon center's are covered by League funding, so they will cover the damage."
This made Anne and her friends were relieved that the trainers didn't have to pay for the damages. Sasha hopped down from Nurse Joy's desk as she met up with the others not happy about missing and participating in the fight.
"Thank you Misty." Serena walked up to the orange hair girl. "For protecting Fennekin." Serena offered her hand to Misty. Misty stared up to the open gesture, sure she saved Fennekin, but they also saved Staryu, as they seemed to to work well together, sure, they owed her a bike, but they actually made a good team…
"Your welcome, Serena." Misty replied as she accepted the handshake. And… Thank you and Kyra, for saving Staryu."
"Your welcome Misty me and Joe are glad we can help." Kyra said smiling at Misty.
"I've got to say Misty when we first met, I thought you were some spoiled brat with anger issues." Serena was honest, which caused Misty to frown. "But after speaking and battling with you, I've realized I was wrong. You and Kyra were pretty okay, and you two clearly love your Pokemon." Misty smiled, sure, the first part was uncalled for, but she can accept it.
"I feel the same. When I pulled you out of the river, I thought you were some irresponsible kids who hurt that Pikachu." Misty was honest, which caused Serena and Kyra to frown this time. But you guys clearly share a string bond, and the same goes for you're Fennekin, Joe, and Anne are pretty okay after all."
"Thank's Misty." Serena and Kyra said the exact same time. As they thanked with gratitude. "Why don't we start a new."
"Sure." Misty replied with a friendly smile.
"It's good to you guys getting along." Ash spoke as he walked over, holding a room key. Ash, Kyra, and Serena agreed ahead of time to share a room, after all they've done it in sleepovers, and it's not like sharing a bed or anything. Plus it saves on funds, although that doesn't apply this time, considering Nurse Joy's offered the room, free of charge, since they fought of those thieves.
"Yeah" the three girls replied in union.
"But you three still owe me a bike." Misty added, although not angry as before. Serena and Kyra sighed, they really hoped that she would forget that part. Ash, Pikachu, Joe, and Anne sweat dropped, they were present at the last… Meeting, before Team Rocket show up and sees that Anne reunited with her friends.
"Hehehe, don't worry Misty. We just don't have the funds right now, but we promise to the pay you back as soon as we have the money." Serena reassured, she didn't want an argument.
"Okay. I'll guess I can stick with you until then." Misty suggested with an smile. Kyra, Ash and Serena exchanged glances. Sure, they didn't get off on the wrong foot, but now it was all behind them. Although Misty proved she could be nice, and was an experience trainer… More experienced then them at least, and that could help at the very least.
"Okay Misty." Kyra started as she looked back at the orange hair girl. "You can travel with us."
"The more the merrier after all." Ash added with a smile.
Then Kyra felt a tug on her shorts to see Anne with an serious expression on her face.
"Kyra my friends and I talked it over and they want to be part of your team." Anne said.
Kyra looked at the Pokemon with a shocking expression on her face. That all of Anne's friends wanted to be her Pokemon. Kyra thought for a moment before giving her answer to them.
"You guys can come along if you want to. If this is what all you guys want. I say the more the merrier." Kyra saying giving them her signature smile."
"I want to go see what this world has to offer." Marcy said excitedly. Which Anne and the others sweat drop even in another world Marcy still find ways to have a positive outlook. Which Anne likes about her.
"Anne said you would help us get back home. After the display you showed us when you protest us from Team Rocket. You earned my trust." Frank said with a smirk.
"I want to stay with my friends and you seem to be a good trainer seeing how good friends you are with Joe and Anne." KJ said.
"Thank you." Joe said,
"Your welcome." KJ said
"Listen up you! I don't like you at all but if the others want to be with you. Then I have no choice but to go with you since I don't want myself and my friends to be captured by other trainers. Let my make it clear that you don't own us! No matter if we are in these weird forms! We just using you so we can get home." Sasha said seriously.
"I'm fine with that. All I ask you guys work with me towards my dream and I promise I'll get you guys home." Kyra said with a serious tone too. As Serena gave Kyra her backpack. When Kyra opened it multiple colors glow out of her bag which shocked everyone except for Ash and Serena since they seen it happen to Anne.
"Wow it's so cool how did you get your bag to glow like that!" Marcy excitedly said with stars in her eyes.
"I want to know as well." Misty said with a curious voice.
"It's the Calamity Pokeballs in her backpack. It was a birthday present from our father years ago. When Kyra brought Anne back to the lab one of those Pokeballs glow when Anne got closer to it." Ash said.
"The Professor did say that the Pokeball was connected to Anne and maybe it's connected to you guys as well." Serena said.
"Oohhh, A mystery it's so exciting. Maybe we can figure out why those Pokeballs are connected with us." Marcy said with interest.
Kyra brought out the lime green pokeball as it glowed brightly when Kyra got close to Marcy. Marcy flew up as she hit the pokeball with her wing as she got sucked in. The Pokeball wobbled for a bit. When it stopped stars appeared signaling the trainer it was captured. Then Kyra brought the crimson and scarlet Pokeballs as they too glow when KJ and Frank got close as Kyra kneeled down to their level as they strike there specific pokeball. They end up being sucked in and we're successfully captured. Lastly the pink pokeball glowed when it was Sasha's turn. Sasha was reluctant to do this but she didn't have a choice because of the circumstances. Sasha too was sucked into the Pokeball as she was captured too.
Kyra brought out her Pokédex to scan her new friends. She scanned Marcy first:
Rowlet, The grass quill Pokemon, It sends it's feathers, which are as sharp as blades, flying, in attack. It's legs are strong, so it kicks are also formidable. Type: Grass and Flying, Sex: Female, Ability: Overgrown Hidden Ability: Long Reach: The Pokemon uses it's moves without making contact with the target. (Note: Hidden Ability unlocked.)
Nature: Naive, Moves: Growl, Tackle, Leafage, Peck. Kyra saw she has some good moves and had some ideas for Marcy and her abilities.
Kyra scanned KJ next: Ralts, The feeling Pokemon, The horn on it's head provide a strong power that enables it to a sense people's emotions. Ability: Synchronize Hidden Ability: Trace (Note this ability is unlocked.) Type: Psychic and Fairy, Sex: Male Nature: Timid Moves: Disarmed Voice, Growl, Double Team, Confusion. Kyra looked at KJ's states thinking she can help KJ learn teleport as a defense.
Kyra remembers her time in the Hoenn Region she have seen many Hoenn Pokemon that were different then the Kanto region's. Many trainers said that Ralts are weak and they shouldn't deal with them since they are very weak. But one boy was against this idea. Kyra met him when she was visiting PetalBurg City when she first meets her first friend in Hoenn. When he got his first Pokemon that was a Ralts. He didn't care if it was weak he was determined to raise this Ralts into a strong Pokemon. Kyra admired his dedication who was younger then her. His parents agreed to let him have a Pokemon to be his company because of his sickness. He was determined to become a Pokemon trainer when he comes of age even if he was sick. That last time Kyra saw him was when he moved to Mauville City with relatives. Kyra wonders what his friend is doing now as Kyra smiled. Anne wonderes why Kyra was staring off into space.
Kyra then scanned Frank next: Oshawott, The Sea Otter Pokemon, Type: Water, The Scallop on it's stomach isn't just used for battle—it can be used to break open hard berries as well. Nature: Serious, Sex: Male, Ability: Torrent, Hidden Ability: Shell Armor (Note: Hidden Ability is unlocked.) Moves: Tackle, Tail Whip, Water Gun, Air Slash. Kyra notices Franks abilities. She'll have to figure out how to train him to uses his full potential.
Kyra scanned the last Pokemon Sasha: Torchic: The chick Pokemon, Torchic sticks with it's trainer, following behind unsteady steps. This Pokemon breathes fire of over 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, including fireballs that leave the foe scorched black. Type: Fire, Sex: Female, Nature: Sassy, Ability: Blaze, Hidden Ability: Speed Boost, Moves: Growl, Scratch, Ember, Quick Attack, Flame charge. Kyra looked at Sasha move list it surprised her that Sasha has five movies not like the others that had four. She wondered why that is, Kyra would love to train her since she knows the forms that Sasha will eventually evolve into since she sees those forms herself by another trainer she met in Hoenn but, Kyra thought of what Sasha said to her. She wonders if Sasha will let her train her, Kyra felt that Sasha will be just as difficult to get along as of his brother and Pikachu when they left Pallet Town. She hopes some day she'll get through to Sasha.
In the rooms, Kyra had already returned Joe. Kyra released Marcy, Sasha, KJ, and Frank as she tells them they can stay out of there pokeball like Anne. The other agreed to Kyra's proposal. Kyra and the rest of the gang fell asleep.
They looked at the new living conditions as they sat on the couch. They looked around seeing an average room, it has three beds, a coffee table, nightstands, desk with a chair, and a window. Frank and KJ sat on the left side of the couch. Anne, Marcy, and Sasha were on the left side of the couch since they weren't comfortable sleeping on the bed with Kyra.
"I guess this is the closet thing to a home we'll be having, huh?" said Frank
"Yep." Anne said.
"Well at least were sleeping in a bedroom this time. Sleeping outside was gross." Sasha said uncomfortable of having to sleep on the couch next to the boys. She was thankful that she is going to be sleeping far left of the couch.
"At least Kyra and her companions are nice, at least Kyra is a good trainer. Plus Misty will be traveling with us." Marcy said.
"Yeah, Kyra, Joe, Ash, Pikachu, Serena, Fennekin, and Misty. They seem cool." KJ agrees.
Anne went into her ruffles, this made Sasha, Marcy, and KJ look puzzled as she pulled out Marcy's Journal, pen, and lastly the music box.
"What are you doing?" Frank asked.
"I'm giving one last try." Anne told him before she tried to open it again.
"But Anne, we've tried every night since coming here and hasn't worked," Frank said as he handed Marcy her Journal and Pen as she wrote of what happened today.
"Maybe it'll work this time." Anne suggested.
"Wait, what do you mean one last try?" KJ puzzled.
"You're not planning to ditch us, haven't you?" Sasha gives her a stern look.
"What? No, of course not!" Anne raise in defense, but Sasha lowered her eyes like she is not convinced. "Okay, maybe a little panic."
"Anne, be careful." said KJ.
She nodded with one hand on the bottom and another on top, she slowly opened it.
"Come on, come on!"
She was suspecting some flash of lights, and interdenominational magic to take them back home and to finally end this nightmare. But to no avail. Nothing happened. It was just another old music box. She then closed and opened it three more times more and sighed in disappointment. Her friends sighed sadly that the box didn't work.
"So, it didn't work, huh?" Sasha asked.
"Yep pretty much." Frank answered.
"Looks like we're gonna be here for a while." said Anne. As she put the box back in her ruffles.
"At least we're all together now, right?" Marcy asked hopefully.
"Right, just the five of us." Anne looked at Frank before she formed her smile. "Thanks for finding my friends Frank."
He looked at her small smile. He was going to say that he ran into the others, but he doesn't want to have another argument with Sasha in front of her. For her sake, he made an agreement to have her and the others worked together. So he smiled back at her.
"Don't mentioned it." Frank laid down and turned his body to have his back face Anne. As she stared at his back, she couldn't help but think how lonely it looked, but then remembered what he told her in the woods yesterday and started to gain a look of guilty. Marcy and KJ noticed her look.
"Anne are you okay?" KJ asked when concerned for a bit.
"Yeah, I'm fine. But…" She paused for a moment before she continues." (sigh) What kind of friend are we?"
"We?" Sasha repeatedly.
"You know, you, me, and the others. We've been through a lot for years and look where we are stranded." Anne explained.
"Don't beat yourself, Anne. It happens all the time." Marcy reassured her.
"Then how could I ever forgive myself with the people I truly cared? I wish I could ever apologize for what we have done." Anne sighed sadly.
Marcy and KJ looked down to the ground when remorse. He felt bad for not sticking up for her. Sasha looks away when remorse. She never wanted this to end up here. Frank took a sad glances at her when she feels sad. He knew that Andy wants nothing to do with the heist. How could he ever forgive? For now, he'll decide if anyone's involved with this.
"Don't worry, we'll find your brother. I'm sure that he'll forgive you." said Frank.
"Do you believe that?" Anne asked softly.
"I suppose so." replied Frank before he yawns. "Let's get some sleep. Goodnight, fellas."
"Goodnight, Frank."
Anne and Frank lay down until they drifted off into sleep. Sasha and KJ lay down as well before they want to sleep, but Marcy is the last one to fall asleep. She flipped to a drawing of her brother and girlfriend. The second drawing was her and her friends when they were still human.
She regrets everything for what she had done in the first place. Taking her friends away from their families, having Anne steal the box from Frank's grandmother, and brought them here on purpose just to get away from reality to her own adventure. At least that she didn't tell them just yet because if she did, they'll never forgive her and then stop being friends with her.
She laid down and drifted to sleep before she sighed sadly that friends are still out there.
"Andy, please be okay." Marcy thought.
Elsewhere in a lab there is a yellow and blue sheep with wool on his body.
"Anne please be okay." The sheep Pokemon said as he looked at the lab outside the window.
As for when Anne, Frank, Sasha, KJ, and Marcy will evolve. I would say that Frank will evolve at the Safari Zone. Sasha will evolve during Saffron City takeover. KJ will evolve during the Saffron Gym Battle. Anne will evolve during Mewtwo strikes Back and Marcy with Evolve in the Orange Island Arc.
Kyra's Pokemon: Anne (Froakie) Jolly female, Eevee Mild male, Joe brave male. Marcy (Rowlet) Naive female, KJ (Ralts) Timid male, Frank (Oshawott) Serious male, Sasha (Torchic) Sassy female.
Ash's Pokemon: Pikachu Quirky male.
Serena's Pokemon: Fennekin Sassy female.
Misty's Pokemon: Staryu Docile.
