Can be seen a balcony with some benches, an old man feeding some birds along to a dog, a female statue, and a trash can, in the right, children playing, a man watching, a light post and two street-sweepers, in the center, and a building and a picnic table, in the left, besides plants all over the park. The cloaked figure appeared in the park and saw Children playing, he then saw Athena on the bench crying, she was holding a photo of her and Ashura holding hands in front of a fountain. The cloaked figure walked towards her.
???: Hey, why is a beautiful girl like you crying.
Athena looked up and saw a cloaked figure in front of her, she wiped the tears off.
Athena: A boy important to me disappeared many years ago. I'm trying to be strong for him but I can't. He may be dead.
Athena showed the man her photo.
?: I think I may know where that guy was. Follow me to a secluded spot.
Athena trusted the man and they went to a secluded spot in the forest.
Athena: Where is he?
The cloaked man took off his cloak and revealed his identity. Athena gasped in shock as she saw him. The cloaked figure was non other than Ashura, he now wore a short black coat, a shorter black shirt underneath with his midriff exposed, black pants, a large black belt with a gold buckle, a smaller black belt that hangs loose on the side of his hip, black shoes with black buckles, a black choker, and a black necklace.
Ashura: Hello Athena, missed me?
Athena was very happy, she jumped at Ashura who caught her and hugged him, a few seconds later, she broke the hug and Ashura put her on her feet.
Athena: I am getting ready for the tournament. All of us are gonna meet up at the Rose stadium.
Ashura: What tournament, I haven't received an invitation.
Ashura put his hands in the pocket and felt something in one of his pockets. He took it out and saw an invitation.
Ashura: Dear Sir or Madam, it's 2010, and with much pride and pleasure, we would like to announce our annual King of Fighters Tournament. Former participants and persons who have received this invitation may join teams, and will face off in heated 3-on-3 combat to decide this year's champion team. Athena: So let's go to the Rose stadium.
Ashura saw Athena grimacing in pain and got worried.
Ashura: Are you alright Athena.
Athena: I am still hurt from the previous tournament.

Athena: There was this mysterious boy called Kris, who participated in the previous tournament. I was his first opponent and he completely decimated me in a fight.
Ashura: Stand still, I'll heal you.
Ashura placed his hands on Athena and a green aura engulfed her as he started healing Athena. After healing her, he stopped.
Athena: Thanks, I feel like a new person. Let's go to the Rose Stadium.
Ashura: Right.
The two of them started walking away.

Ashura was with the rest of the fighters at the Rose stadium, Rose appeared on the screen.
Rose: The fights in the first round goes like this:

The city of Giza, in a new green/yellow colored version, what appears to be an indoor palace. Green light reflects off of fighters when the stage's fires are lit. Ashura was on the opposite side of the K' team. Maxima and Ashura were going to begin the fight.
Announcer: ROUND 1, READY, GO!
Maxima charged towards Ashura and tried grabbing him by his head, but Ashura caught the hand before he slammed Maxima against the nearest wall.
Maxima tried delivering a powerful pressurised punch to Ashura, who dodged it and in a burst of purple flames, he disappeared and reappeared behind Maxima before delivering a fiery punch and kick at the same time to Maxima, launching him into the ground.
Maxima got on his feet and charged forward and tried punching Ashura twice before charging up both of his hands and tried delivering two powerful pressurised punches into Ashura at the same time, but he dodged all the attacks with ease.
Maxima reeled back before trying to deliver a powerful pressurised punch to Ashura, who dodged, making it look easy.
Maxima opened up his chest to reveal a laser cannon which he used to fire a large beam of energy at Ashura, who created a green energy barrier around himself, protecting himself from the cannon.
Ashura dashed towards Maxima and clawed and scratched him with a powerful flurry claws and scratches before coating himself in purple fire and dashed forward and swung his arm and slashed Maxima with his hands, followed up by swinging his arm around and slashed Maxima's stomach with his hands, ending off by reaching up and slashing Maxima with his hand while still on fire. Maxima was revealed to be unconscious.
Ashura: Mezawari da usero!
Announcer: KO, WINNER!
Kula was up next, she got in her fighting stance.
Announcer: ROUND 2, READY, GO!
Kula froze the ground beneath her and slid across it to kick Ashura, who created a purple fiery barrier in front of himself, making Kula crash into it and got burned.
Kula put her hand forward and shot out a stream of ice to freeze Ashura, who created a purple fiery barrier in front of him that melted the stream of ice.
Kula tried delivering an uppercut which created a wave of ice in front of her fist, but Ashura dodged it and kicked Kula away with a fiery kick, sending her crashing into the ground.
Kula got on her feet and breathed out a gust of cold air to harm Ashura, but he just created a purple fiery barrier in front of himself that melted the gust of cold air.
Kula jumped and spun around with her leg making a wave of ice as it spins to harm Ashura, but he just dodged, then Kula immediately stood up and kicked a shard of ice at Ashura, who created a purple fiery barrier in front himself, protecting himself from the shard of ice.
Kula jumped in the air and kicked down a large shard of ice which took the shape of a large snowflake towards Ashura, who released a small flare of his blue flames, melting the large snowflake in an instant.
Kula created three large ice shards that shot up out of the ground to harm Ashura, but he just engulfed himself in a huge blue fiery pillar that melted the three large ice shards upon contact.
Kula summoned Diana to slash Ashura into the air, but Ashura just dodged the slash before Kula unleashed a massive wave of freezing that froze everything in the area around her, but Ashura wasn't bothered by the cold.

Ashura coated himself in purple flames before rushing towards Kula and swung his arm and slashed Kula with his hands before reaching up and slashed Kula with his hands while still on fire. Kula was revealed to be unconscious after the attack.

K' was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Announcer: ROUND 2, READY, GO
K' drifted backwards before disappearing and reappearing behind Ashura and jumped forward while trying to knee Ashura, but he dodged with ease and jumped into the air before landing a powerful punch to the face, that sent K' crashing into the ground.
K' got on his feet and waved his arm to create a wave of flames in front of him before kicking the flames in front of him to make a fireball that was launched towards Ashura, who created a wall of crimson flames in front of himself, protecting himself from the fireball.
K' waved his arm to create a wave of flames in front of him before K' drifted backwards before moving closer to Ashura so he could attack him with other moves, but Ashura hit him with a fiery punch, launching K' away from himself.
K' tried delivering an uppercut which created a wave of flames in front of his fist, but Ashura dodged, K' then kicked downwards while creating a wave of flames in front of his foot, but he still missed Ashura.
K' leaped towards Ashura while trying to kick him before falling to the ground and tried delivering a slide kick to Ashura, but he dodged all the attacks he dished at him.
K' charged up his fist with flames before dashing forward and tried punching Ashura, but he blocked the explosive punch with ease before pulling K' towards him and punched him in the guts before jumping into the air and slammed both of his fists on K', sending him crashing into the ground very hard.
K' threw his sunglasses at Ashura, who just stomped on the sunglasses, much to K's surprise and dismay.
K' put his fist to the ground before making a pillar of flames appear around him, Ashura set his hands on fire before leaping to K' and slammed his hands to the ground, creating a large pillar of crimson flames that burned K'.
Ashura slammed K' to the ground and started hammering him with both of his fists repeatedly before hammering him with both of him fists for the last time, which created a huge crimson fiery pillar of flames that burned K'. K' was gonna lose consciousness at any second.
Ashura drove his fist into K's guts, creating a towering pillar of crimson flames that burned K', ending off in a huge crimson fiery explosion. K' was revealed to be unconscious after Ashura hit him with a Hyper Chain Drive.
Announcer: WINNER!
Ashura: Stop being lazy and train very hard.
Ashura started walking away from the area and started thinking about what he saw at the Rose stadium. He saw invisible strings behind Rose, he can see every invisible objects in the world.
Ashura: Rose is just a puppet, something bad is gonna happen after this tournament. There is only one person who has this ability, what are those abomination gonna do. I hope it has nothing to do with the Gate.
Ashura used his time powers to read the history of the world, and found out many things that happened in the world and the winners of the first round. It went like this:

A 1994's stlyed Britain area, in the street, with the Big Ben in the background. The weather waso foggy. Also can be seen people, guards and the famous Britain Double Decker bus. Ashura was on the opposite side of Elisabeth Team. Ashura and Shen Woo were gonna begin the fight.
Announcer: ROUND 1, READY, GO!
Ashura rushed at Shen, uppercutted him, then created a towering pillar of energy. Shen Woo was revealed to be unconscious.
Announcer: KO, WINNER!
Duo Lon was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Announcer: ROUND 2, READY, GO!
Ashura created a portal beneath himself, which swallowed Duo Lon and spitted out a barrage of souls along with Duo Lon. Duo Lon was revealed to be unconscious.
Announcer: KO, WINNER!
Elisabeth was up next, she got in her fighting stance.
Announcer: ROUND 3, READY, GO!
Elisabeth stepped forward with a kick, but Ashura caught the leg and swung Elisabeth around before throwing her away from him, sending her crashing into the ground.
Elisabeth got on her feet and waved her hand to make a wave of light appear in front of her to burn Ashura, but Ashura absorbed the wave of light and backflipped a couple of feet away from Elisabeth.
Elisabeth tried delivering an uppercut with a fist infused with a bright light, but Ashura caught her fist and absorbed the bright light before kicking Elisabeth a few feet away.
Elisabeth slid towards Ashura before trying to deliver an uppercut to Ashura with a large pillar of bright light, but Ashura absorbed the bright light once again.
Elisabeth unleashed a large amount of bright light from her body to burn Ashura, but he was absorbing all the light with ease. When the light died down, Elisabeth was too shocked to see that her attack didn't work.
Ashura was surrounded by a huge ball of light, before he unleashed all the power of light he has absorbed in one gigantic explosion of light that shook the area around them. When the huge light died down, everything was destroyed but the spectators weren't hurt. There was a huge crater that a bright light was shining inside, then the light engulfed the entire area. When the light died down, everything that was destroyed was back to normal. Elisabeth was revealed to be unconscious and very wounded, while Ashura didn't have a single scratch.
Announcer: WINNER!
Ashura: My light brings hope to the world with it's dazzling shine.
Ashura started walking away, thinking about what was gonna happen after the tournament. He walked away to train again.
[The following day]
Esaka Passageway, Osaka, Japan
A scaffolding connecting to a series of apartment buildings and a train station in Esaka, along with the SNK headquarters in the background. Numerous high school students are cheering on the fight, with a digital billboard promoting the KOF tournament with different fighters. Ashura was on the opposite side of Japan team. Ashura and Goro were the first fighters to begin the fight. Ashura's crimson eyes were glowing very dangerously, indicating that something was wrong with him.
Daimon: This murderous aura... Who are you?
Ashura: You would die a more peaceful death if you didn't know. If I told you, you would only fall deeper into despair.
Daimon: You vile miscreant! I'll knock some manners into you!
Announcer: ROUND 1, READY, GO!
Ashura reappeared in front of Goro and punched him in the guts, making him gasp for air and cough out blood. Ashura grabbed Goro by his leg and swung him around before slamming him to the ground, making the big guy cry out in pain. Ashura got on top of Goro before raining a barrage of powerful punches that shook the area before Ashura landed one final blow that knocked Goro unconscious.
Ashura got on his feet and unleashed and unleashed one massive roar that scared the hell out of everyone.
Announcer: KO, WINNER!
Benimaru was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Announcer: ROUND 2, READY, GO!
Benimaru jumped into the air before launching himself towards Ashura feet first while spinning, Ashura caught Benimaru's leg and slammed him into the ground.
Benimaru got on his feet and trit delivering a super-fast knee to Ashura's chest, but Ashura caught the knee and grabbed Benimaru by the neck with one hand and slammed him to the ground very hard, then he elbowed Benimaru in the stomach.
Benimaru got on his feet and flip kicked which called down a bolt of lightning from the sky, Ashura absorbed the bolt of lightning and punched Benimaru a few feet away.
Benimaru tried punching Ashura with a fist that sparked with electricity, but Ashura just absorbed the electricity and punched Benimaru far away from him.
Benimaru charged his hand with a bolt of lightning before swinging it down on Ashura to make a wave of electricity, but Ashura just absorbed the wave of electricity and kicked Benimaru away from him.
Benimaru tried punching Ashura with a fist that sparked with a large amount of electricity, which Ashura absorbed once again.
Benimaru created a sphere of electricity around him for a second, Ashura broke through the sphere of electricity and punched Benimaru with a lightning fist, launching him away.
Benimaru charged up his fist with a bolt of lightning before shooting out a bolt of lightning out of his fist at Ashura with a punch, Ashura just absorbed the stream of lightning and called forth a black lightning from the sky towards Benimaru. The black lightning hit Benimaru and a bright light engulfed the entire area. When the light died down, Benimaru was burnt and unconscious.
Another black lightning suddenly hit Ashura and he laughed like a maniac, shocking everyone.
Announcer: KO, WINNER!
Kyo was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Announcer: ROUND 3, READY, GO!
Kyo created a fire wave that traveled across the ground towards Ashura to burn him, but Ashura absorbed the flame and rushed towards Kyo before punching forward with his following arm for a fire-laced body-blow hook, launching Kyo a couple of feet away.
Kyo ran at Ashura, grabbed him by his neck, then made a fiery explosion before jumping forward and kicked Ashura away before dashing towards him and kicked him again before flipping and kicking him to the ground.
Kyo delivered two high kicks to Ashura, sending him into the air before Kyo jumped with his arms out, shrouded in flames, burning Ashura when he touched him.
Kyo jumped into the air and as he fell back down, he tried slamming his fists into Ashura's head, but Ashura caught his fists and slammed him to the ground before punching him in the face, creating a crimson fiery explosion where he punched Kyo.
Kyo got on his feet and created a fire wave that traveled across the ground towards Ashura to burn him, but Ashura redirected the fire wave back towards Kyo, who couldn't react in time and was burned by his own attack.
Kyo kicked Ashura on the chin before bringing his leg down and hit the Ashura on his head, before he created a fire wave that traveled across the ground towards Ashura and burned him.
Ashura got on his feet and spun around before punching Kyo and made an explosion occur where he punched, followed up by delivering a one-inch punch to Kyo's stomach that caused an explosion, ending off by uppercutting Kyo and sent him flying with an explosion.
Kyo got on his feet and created a fire wave that traveled across the ground towards Ashura to burn him, but he dodged and rushed towards Kyo.
Ashura stepped forward and punched Kyo and made an explosion occur where he punched, followed up by delivering an uppercut which created an explosion that sent Kyo flying, then he elbowed Kyo down which created an explosion that slammed Kyo to the floor, ending off by punching Kyo as he layed on the ground, creating an explosion when his fist hit Kyo.
Kyo got on his feet and jumped into the air and Ashura did so too. Ashura and Kyo formed flames in their rear hands, then threw them out in a big wave, the two waves collided and created an explosion. When the smoke died down, Kyo was on his back on the ground, while Ashura was on his feet.
Kyo got on his feet and threw out a small fireball which created a large number of flaming pillars to form and burn Ashura. After the attack, Ashura got on his feet, unscathed by the attack, shocking Kyo.
Ashura did a 2 turning punch, hitting Kyo, the punch connected and caused an explosion when it hit the mark, followed up by Ashura creating a pillar of crimson flames around Kyo, then punched Kyo away with a rear hook while on fire, creating 4 afterimages of himself in the process.
Ashura threw out a small crimson fireball which created a large number of flaming pillars to form and burn Kyo. After the attack, Kyo was revealed to be unconscious.
Announcer: KO, WINNERS!
Ashura: Mushikera ga! HAHAHAHAHA! Mezawari nanda yo!
His eyes stopped glowing and he walked away, he was thinking about what happened.
Ashura: So that is my evil power, I should be able to suppress it. So I'm gonna fight Iori and his team in the finals, great.
He walked away.
[The following day]
Rose Stadium
A orange/brown colored coliseum, at night. Features a blue rose bed next to a fountain in the middle and some castles in the background. It was the finals of the KOF XIII tournament, Ashura was off against Team Yagami, every fighters that participated in the tournament were gonna watch the fights.
Ashura was ready to win his first tournament and deal with the threat like he was meant to, he was with the other fighters.
Ashura: I'm ready to make history by winning this tournament.
Athena: You're very strong, are you gonna be okay?
Ashura was gonna answer but Mature and Vice got in front of Ashura.
Mature: Nice to meet the traitor of our clan.
Ashura: What do you guys want?
Vice: Were here to see you handsome. Are you afraid to lose someone important to you, like... Her.
Ashura felt pain in his heart for some reason but he didn't know why he felt the pain.
Ashura: Who are you talking about?
Vice: Stop playing games with us.
Ashura: Seriously, who are you talking about?
Mature: So you have lost some of your memories. We should get going.
Vice and Mature walked away. The fight was gonna begin and Ashura and Vice rushed to the arena.
Vice: What do you see when you see that Idol girl?
Ashura: For some reason, I can see someone that looks like her but wears a Golden Armor.
Vice: I would like to tell you but enough talk. I'm gonna rip you apart.
Ashura: And I'm gonna hurt you very badly.
Announcer: ROUND 1, READY, GO!
Vice swiped an arm towards the ground, stretching it like a vine. When it successfully hit, she grabbed Ashura's feet and rapidly retracted her arm to normal length while turning around, flinging the helpless Ashura far behind her.
Ashura managed to land on his feet and rushed towards Vice before punching her in the face, but Vice was unscathed by the punch, shocking everyone who knew Ashura's strength.
Vice: Your punch is sloppy. Did reminding you of her destroy your will to fight.
Ashura: No.
Vice: Well let's see.
Vice grabbed Ashura by his throat, then rushed forward for a fair distance while scraping him along the ground, finishing by tossing him into the air.
Vice hit Ashura with a a short-mid distance shoulder charge, launching Ashura into the air before Vice jumped forward and slammed Ashura's head into the floor from above.
Ashura got on his feet and jumped into the air, but Vice did a counter to Ashura in the air by quickly throwing him to the ground then falling on him afterwards laughing maniacally.
Vice somersaulted backwards and caught Ashura's neck between her feet, slamming Ashura Frankensteiner-style five times.
Vice showed off her shoulder, which then imposed a red eye above her that made a bloody tentacle slide across the ground and whipped her Ashura. Ashura was revealed to be unscathed by the onslaught, his will to fight was gone.
Ashura started vomiting blood, then he coughed up blood. A dark aura engulfed his body, his hair turned white and his eyes were glowing golden, and his face showed no emotions.
Ashura rushed towards Vice and punched her in the face before he clawed and scratched her with a powerful flurry claws and scratches before he stopped the onslaught and his eyes glowed very dangerously, then he clawed and scratched Vice on either side of her body with a powerful flurry of claws and scratches before he grabbed Vice by the head forcefully slammed her to the ground very hard, causing a huge black fiery explosion to erupt. When the smoke died down, Vice was revealed to be unconscious.
A black aura engulfed the entire area as Ashura laughed like a madman.
Announcer: KO, WINNER!
Mature was up next, she got in her fighting stance.
[In the stands]
Athena: What is wrong with Ashura?
Kyo: What has Ashura become. He can use black flames. Crimson flames, Purple flames, Blue flames, and now black flames, are there more flames he could use?
Benimaru: Blue lightning, purple lightning, crimson lightning, white lightning and black lightning, I have a feeling he could use some other lightnings.
Elisabeth: But can you sense his energy, it's very dark and it feels suppressed. He didn't show that Orochi woman any mercy and he didn't care about the destruction he was causing. What made him turn into a monster?
Terry: I don't know, that snake reminded of an unknown girl.
Athena: Ashura, please be okay.
[Back to the fight]
???: Remember our promise.
Ashura looked for the source of the voice but didn't see the person except for the others.
???: My love, fight the darkness within you. You will soon remember me.
Ashura: Who are you? You sound familiar.
???: It will all be revealed in due time. Continue to show everyone your might. Remember that I will always love you.
Ashura: I love you too.
Ashura was shocked at the words that came out of his mouth and his pupils dilated and looked towards Athena and saw her crying. There was one thing he hates, and that's making Athena cry. His hair returned back to it's original blue color and his eyes returned back to their original crimson. The darkness that covered his entire body was gone and he got ready to fight Mature.
Mature: So you have regained your senses.
Ashura: Yes, she helped me and I will now send you back to the Orochi.
Announcer: ROUND 2, READY, FIGHT!
Mature did a backflip before she tried to slash Ashura by waving her arm, but Ashura caught her arm before kneeing her in the guts and punched her in the face, sending her crashing into the ground.
Mature got on her feet and tried slashing Ashura three times by waving her arms around, but he just dodged them, making them look easy.
Mature madd a rapid mid-range dash and did a horizontal one-handed slash that left a wake of metallic energy directly in front of her, but she missed Ashura.
Mature reared back with both arms raised upwards and clenched together, then did a massive two-handed swipe downwards. This released a giant arc projectile of metallic energy towards Ashura, who shocked everyone by absorbing the projectile of metallic energy.
Mature dashed forward. On a successful hit, she continues rushing forward while holding Ashura by his head and dragged him along the ground, suffused with sickly white energy. On reaching the edge of the arena, she swung Ashura forward and blasted him with a pillar of white death energy. Ashura got on his feet, unscathed by the attack.
Ashura decided to pay Mature back. Ashura dashed forward. On a successful hit, he continues rushing forward while holding Mature by her head and dragged her along the ground, suffused with sickly white energy. On reaching the edge of the arena, he swunged Mature forward and blasted her with a pillar of red death energy.
Mature got on her feet and moved forward while performing several rapid, short-range slashes that trailed metallic energy while moving forward a short distance ending off by rearing back with both arms raised upwards and clenched together, then did a massive two-handed swipe downwards. This released a giant arc projectile of metallic energy towards Ashura, who dodged all the attacks.
Mature revealed her eye from underneath her eyepatch, which then imposed a red eye that whipped Ashura with a bloody tentacle. After the attack, Ashura got on his feet, seemingly unscathed by the attack.
Ashura leaped into the air and flipped upside down while slashing down and forward with one hand, slashing Mature before leaping forward while spinning, with one clawed hand extended upwards and the other at waist level. He constantly slashed Mature while moving.
Ashura created a whip of blood and swiftly struck Mature. After the attack, Mature was revealed to be unconscious.
Announcer: KO, WINNER!
Iori was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
[In the stands]
Kyo: What happened? He was talking to himself.
Athena: I think the unknown girl spoke to him telephically.
Everyone understood and looked at the field for the final match.
[Back to the fight]
Ashura: Ready to lose Iori.
Iori: I'm the master, so I'm gonna be the winner.
Ashura: Are you still gonna train me after I have defeated you.
Iori: You're gonna lose, but I'll still train you since you are my prized pupil.
Ashura: I guess I'll have to show you why I rule.
Announcer: ROUND 3, READY, GO!
Iori tried swiping Ashura with his rear hand, then did a quick jab, but Ashura blocked all the attacks and tried hitting Iori with both of his fists, but Iori blocked the attack.
Iori rushed towards Ashura and grabbed him by the head and slammed him to the ground before lifting Ashura in the air akin to a cross-chokehold and nearly ripped him apart in an X-shaped motion
