It's been a few years since Ashura won the 13th tournament, he participated in other tournaments like The King of Fighters EX: Neo Blood, The King of Fighters EX2: Howling Blood, Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, King Of Fighters Memorial, King Of Fighters Memorial 2 and he won them all alone. He made new friends, enemies and even a love interest, who died.
He was now in the forest looking at the river, he was still wondering who was the voice that spoke to him. He looked at his reflection and saw Athena's face, shocking him.
Ashura: Why am I seeing Athena's face whenever I think of this mysterious woman. I should get ready for the next tournament, I'll figure this out later.
Ashura wore a half-buttoned grey coat with gold buttons, a large thinly white crescent moon crest marked on the back, and open slits from his sleeves, a large-collared white shirt that reached to his thigh area like a skirt and was half-buttoned to expose his chest, grey pants with a belt attached to each of his knees, black shoes, and a black choker.
He walked, knowing that he gonna fight the Fatal Fury Team.
[Day of the tournament]
Navajoland, USA.
The fight takes place amidst the gas station pumps of a truck stop diner in the middle of the desert of Arizona (the dinner visible on the right side of the stage). Spectators are casually gathered around to witness the battle and semi-trucks can be seen parked on the left side of the stage. Also features, in the background, the Monument Valley. Ashura was up against the Fatal Fury Team. He and Joe were gonna fight first.
Ashura: Am I seriously gonna fight you of all people first.
Joe: You should be honored to fight the best of the best.
Ashura: You're the one who should be honored, because you're gonna be knocked out by the most powerful fighter in the world.
Announcer: ROUND 1, READY, GO!
Joe launched himself forward with a round kick, but Ashura managed to catch his legs and slammed him to the ground, then she picked him up by the leg and swung him around before slamming him into his foot, then he slammed him to the ground.
Joe got on his feet and did an uppercut that released a small whirlwind, but Ashura flung the whirlwind back towards Joe, hitting him.
Joe jumped forward for an axe kick, but Ashura managed to grab his legs and swung him around before throwing him into the ground far away from him, sending him crashing to the ground.
Joe did an uppercut that created a large tornado, sending it towards Ashura, who stopped it with just a glare and sent it back to Joe, hitting him.
Joe tried barraging Ashura with strikes, ending by jumping forward for an axe kick, but Ashura dodged all the barrages with ease.
Joe repeatedly threw multiple punches with each one creating a horizontal tornado that tried hitting Ashura, but he stopped the tornado with his hands.
Ashura fired a small fireball at Joe. Once the fireball impacted on Joe, it expanded greatly and "grabbed" Joe. It then traveled some distance away before detonating, creating a huge explosion that engulfed the entire area. When the smoke died down, Joe was unconscious.
Ashura: Sono mama shine.
Announcer: KO, WINNER.
Andy was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Ashura: Now I have to deal poor Shiranui wannabe.
Andy: I'm just a student of someone from the Shiranui clan.
Ashura: Enough talk, I'm gonna end this very quickly.
Announcer: ROUND 2, READY, GO!
Andy dashed forward before trying to strike Ashura's neck with his elbow, but Ashura caught the elbow and delivered a double palm strike to Andy's chest, sending him crashing into the ground.
Andy pushed himself into the air with his hands and tried delivering a double drop kick to Ashura, who caught both of the legs and slammed Andy into the ground.

Terry was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Terry: It's been a long time since we fought each other.
Ashura: You must mean the first Memorial tournament. It was boring, but I hope you can entertain me.
Terry: Trust me, the results will be different.
Ashura: That's what a stupid scoundrel thinks.
Announcer: ROUND 3, READY, GO!
Terry charged up his fist with chi and tried punching Ashura but he caught the fist with his bare hands and turned around before slamming Terry into the ground.
Terry got on his feet and jumped and tried delivering an axe kick that is charged with chi to Ashura, but Ashura caught the leg with his bare hands and swung Terry around before throwing him into the ground far away from him, sending him crashing to the ground.
Terry got on his feet and punched the ground to send a wave of chi across the ground to hit Ashura, but Ashura absorbed the wave of chi and rushed at Terry before hitting him with a high powered punch, sending him crashing into the ground and created a huge crater.
Terry got on his feet and punched the ground and created an explosion from the ground, but missed Ashura.
Terry jumped into the air and punched the ground when he landed, creating a large explosion from the ground, but he missed Ashura once again.
Terry uppercutted Ashura into the air before slamming him back down with an explosion of chi. Ashura got on his feet, unscathed by the attack.
Ashura charged up his fist with chi before punching Terry and releasing all of the chi in his fist into him and caused an explosion before quickly punching Terry with a flaming fist and tackled him before jumping into the air while spinning and repeatedly kicked Terry. Terry was on his knees, struggling to stand.
Ashura punched Terry with a powerful explosive punch that created a huge explosion and leveled up the area around them. When the smoke died down, Terry was on the ground, unconscious.
Announcer: WINNER!
Ashura: Those fangs of yours don't scare me... Shake in fear at my flames, like the weak animal you are! The legendary wolf was no more than a myth.
Ashura started walking away, sensing an energy again. For a few months since the XIII tournament, Ashura had been sensing something weird.
Ashura: Could this be the Verse creature that killed Athena in the Alternative world and was the reason why my counterpart turned evil. After I win this tournament, I better get near Athena to protect her.
Ashura started walking away, he found out who were the winners of the first round. They went like this:
Japan Team fought South America Team and won.
Yagami Team fought South Town Team and won.
Psycho Soldier Team fought Women Fighters Team and won.
Ikari Warriors Team fought The Art Of Fighting Team and won.
Mexico Team fought Villains Team and won.
K' Team fought Kim Team and won.
China Team fought Another World Team and won.
Ashura was gonna fight the China Team next.
[The following day]
The Great Wall of China
A wide stone platform on the Great Wall, with the wall itself in the background curving across to the right. The platform has a pagoda-like gold sculpture on the right side, whilst the left side has an archway with some sort of decorative tassel hanging in the center. Ashura was on the opposite side of the China Team. He and Meitenkun were gonna start the fight.
Ashura: I don't like fighting a sleeping fool.
Meitenkun: You'll see that the power of sleep is stronger than you think.
Ashura: That's what you think. I guess I'll have to beat you up so you could wake up.
Announcer: ROUND 1, READY, GO!
Meitenkun empowered his pillow with Chi before throwing at Ashura, who caught the pillow and empowered it with his own Chi before throwing it at Meitenkun, hitting him and sending him crashing.
Meitenkun leaped forward before he tried delivering a straight punch to Ashura, who caught it before Meitenkun launched a blast of chi from his hands at Ashura, who was unaffected by the blast before he punched Meitenkun in the guts and launched a small ball of chi at Meitenkun, when it connected, it made a huge explosion. After the smoke died down, Meitenkun was on his shaky feet.
Meitenkun hit Ashura into the air with his pillow before jumping up and fired a beam of Chi at Ashura. Ashura was unscathed by the attack.
Ashura stopped time and placed his hand on the floor. When time resumed, he summoned a wave of crimson flames that filled the entire stage. Meitenkun was unconscious and really injured of the attack.
Ashura: Go to sleep.
Announcer: Winner.
Tung was up next, the old geezer got in his fighting stance.
Ashura: An old geezer, geez. First it's the little kids and now the old man.
Tung: Don't underestimate me young lad, I am stronger than you think.
Ashura: I'm done playing around. I'm gonna end this very quickly, prepare yourself.
Announcer: ROUND 2, READY, GO!
Ashura started off by closing his eyes and dropped his guard before a bright crimson aura engulfed him. Ashura created a blood red energy ball in his left hand and a dark blue energy ball in his right hand, he then rushed at Tung and planted both energy balls in Tung's guts, launching him into the sky, where the energy balls exploded, creating an explosion that engulfed the entire area. When the smoke died down, Tung was falling to the ground, unconscious.
Ashura: Warned you.
Announcer: Winner.
Shun'ei was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Ashura: So you are old geezer's secret weapon.
Shun'ei: What of it? That's got nothing to do with you.
Ashura: You're disrespectful for a rookie, not that I'm one to talk.
Shun'ei: Ashura, I know all about you. Tung is always upset with me for not being able to control my strength. All I ask is that you get out of here before I kill you.
Ashura: You have made the biggest mistake of your life by threatening me. I'm gonna beat you very badly.
Announcer: ROUND 3, READY, GO!
Shun'ei dashed forward before he tried punching Ashura with his large Illusionary Fire Hand, but Ashura blocked the punch and punched Shun'ei in the face, sending him crashing to the wall.
Shun'ei dashed forward before he tried jabbing Ashura with his large Illusionary Ice Hand, but Ashura punched the Ice Hand, breaking it before he punched Shun'ei into the ground and grinded his foot on the back of his back, making Shun'ei eat the dirt before he stomped on Shun'ei, making him eat more dirt.
Shun'ei got on his feet and leaped into the air and tried slashing Ashura with his large Illusionary Fire Hand, but Ashura caught him and slammed him to the ground in front of him and stomped on Shun'ei's head repeatedly, making him eat a lot of dirt before he kicked Shun'ei on the throat, making him choke on his own saliva.
Shun'ei got on his feet and slammed both of his large Illusionary Fire Hand and Ice Hand before firing a ball of chi through the hands, causing the chi to absorb some of the fire and ice energy from each of the hands, but Ashura caught the ball of chi and crushed it like it was nothing.
Ashura dashed towards Shun'ei and hit him with a powerful elbow before tackling Shun'ei into the air before rapidly punching Shun'ei with both of his own large Illusionary Fire Hand and Ice Hand before firing a ball of fire and ice at Shun'ei before forming an aura of fire and ice around himself before dashing forward and tackled through Shun'ei. Shun'ei was revealed to be unconscious while Ashura was posing with his feet on top of Shun'ei's head. He had just defeated Shun'ei with his own move.
Announcer: WINNER!
Ashura: This is what happens to those who threaten me.
Ashura started walking away, he already knew the winners of this round. They went like this:
Japan Team fought Ikari Warriors Team and won.
Yagami Team fought K' team and won.
Psycho Soldier Team fought the Mexico Team and lost.
Ashura was gonna fight The Official Invitation Team, who did not fight in the first two rounds.
Ashura: I have to come up with a strategy to defeat that sandy bastard without having to kill him. What should I use? The hydrokinesis, Cryokinesis, Aerokinesis. I should use 0% of my strength, I can create a huge shockwave to flung that bastard away.
Ashura walked away.
[The next day]
Masquerade
A high-class opera house. The battle takes place on the stage and the wealthy elite mill around at ground level and in the upper balconies, all wearing face masks to keep with the masquerade theme. Banners with sponsorship logos can be seen surrounding the stage and Pegasus statues are situated at opposite ends of the stage. Ashura was on the opposite side of The Official Invitation Team. Ashura was gonna begin the fight with Mian.
Ashura: You must be shy, right Mian?
Mian: Yes.
Ashura: I'd like to see that cute face underneath that mask, can I see it?
Mian: No.
Ashura: I hope you know how to fight, because I'm not gonna go easy on you just because you're a girl.
Announcer: ROUND 1, READY, GO!
Mian walked forward while dancing, trying to slap Ashura with chi-laced hands, but Ashura blocked all the hits and backflipped away from Mian.
Mian jumped high and backwards before she dove feet-first straight down towards Ashura, who caught her legs and threw Mian into the air, but she backflipped while in mid-air and swiftly landed on her feet.
Mian jumped high and forward before she dove feet-first diagonally backwards towards Ashura, who caught her legs and swung her away from him, she managed to flip while in mid-air and swiftly landed on her feet once again.
Mian jumped, spun around and thrusted her rear palm into Ashura's chest, but he was unaffected because his chest was harder than anything, making it harder for Mian to hurt him.
Mian stunned Ashura with her fan, then rushed him down with strikes and ended with a flaming breath attack. Ashura was revealed to be just okay after the attack.
Mian unmasked herself, then barraged Ashura with spinning-top-like strikes, ending with a flip kick while masked once again. Ashura got on his feet and rushed towards Mian who got ready for the worst
Ashura suddenly passed through Mian in a crouching position before he got on his feet and put his hands in his pockets and turned around. Mian's mask was suddenly incinerated, exposing her beautiful face before she fell unconscious.
Ashura: A beautiful face like that must not be hidden.
Announcer: Winner.
Kukri was up next, he got in his fighting stance.
Kukri: Go ahead and throw this match, you douchebag. I'm only here to get to the finals. It's a waste of my time, having to beat all of you one by one. C'mon, hurry up and say something.
Ashura: Hmm? Well, aren't you an embarrassment...? I'm not sure if it's brave or dumb of you to suggest I take a dive on global, live broadcast.
Kukri: Heh, another dickhead who doesn't get it. This bullshit job is such a hassle.
Ashura: I don't care why you're here. But as an officially selected fighter, you'd better show me a good time...
Kukri: Show you a good time? What the hell are you talking about? What, are you stupid? You probably took too many hits to the head. Management should look into shitheads like this and ban them in advance...
Ashura: Remember those words... They'll be your last.

Kukri launched a wave of sand across the ground towards Ashura, who punched forward, creating a shockwave that destroyed the sand.
Kukri propelled sand from his feet and launched himself into the air before Kukri tried delivering an axe kick to Ashura's head, but Ashura just caught the foot and slammed Kukri into the floor.
Kukri made a pillar of sand appear from underneath Ashura's feet to harm him, but he just punched down, creating a huge shockwave that harmed Kukri and exterminated the pillar of sand.
Kukri surrounded himself with sand before launching himself at Ashura to tackle him while spinning, but Ashura just kicked Kukri, sending him crashing into the ground.
Kukri leaped into the air before dropping a large amount of sand on top of Ashura, who just punched upwards, launching a huge shockwave that got rid of the sand and hit Kukri, sending him crashing to the floor very hard. Kukri was unconscious after the attack.
Ashura: Just garbage after all.
Announcer: Winner.
Sylvie was up next, she got in her fighting stance.
Ashura: Hello Sylvie, nice to meet you.
Sylvie: Nice to meet you too, Mr Ashura.
Ashura: The NESTS CARTEL was an organization of lowlifes, you were not a disappointment. I hope you can give me a battle.
Sylvie: Right.
Announcer: ROUND 3, READY, GO!
Sylvie Paula Paula tried delivering a slow-moving spinning axe kick to the Ashura's legs, but he leaped into the air and flipped back before he swiftly landed on his feet.
Sylvie Paula Paula shot out a stream of electricity from her hands towards Ashura to shock him, but he absorbed the stream of electricity with ease.
Sylvie Paula Paula shot out a stream of electricity from her hands towards the ground behind her in order to propel herself off of the ground before she tried kicking Ashura with her legs, but he dodged the kick.
Sylvie Paula Paula did a back flip while generating a ball of electricity from her hands which she tried to use to shock Ashura mid-flip, but he absorbed the ball of electricity and backflipped a couple of feet away.
Sylvie Paula Paula floated above the ground while shooting out a large number of electrical streams from her hands all around her to shock Ashura, but he absorbed the electrical streams that were directed towards him.
Sylvie Paula Paula shot out a stream of electricity from her hands at Ashura which allowed Sylvie to telepathically grab Ashura before slamming him to the ground repeatedly and then Sylvie brought Ashura closer before kicking him away from her. Ashura got on his feet, unscathed by the attack.
Sylvie Paula Paula shocked her brain, causing her to unleash the full extent of her power by generating a powerful ball of electricity which she shot out towards Ashura to shock him, but he absorbed the ball of electricity.
Ashura rushed towards Sylvie and hit her back and forth with a barrage of punches and kicks on either sides of her body before he backflipped a couple of feet away and charged his fist with a crimson lightning, he then rushed towards Sylvie in the guts with a lightning punch, once it connected, a bright light engulfed the entire area. When the light died down, Sylvie was revealed to be unconscious.
Announcer: WINNER!
Ashura: Well done Sylvie, I had fun playing with you.
Ashura started walking away, he has been sensing that energy again. It may have been weaker than Element, Saiki, Dark Ash, Puppet Yukino, Gustab, Crimson Saiki, Orochi and himself but it was strong enough to destroy everything. He also found out the winners of this round.
Japan Team fought Mexico Team and won.
Yagami Team didn't fight and it was decided that Ashura was gonna fight Yagami Team, the winning team was gonna fight Japan Team.
He walked away.
[Wheat field]
Ashura was in the Wheat field, he didn't want to spend the rest of her time in the forest, he grew up in the forest and he loved it there. He saw Nakoruru in the Wheat field, he walked towards her.
Ashura: It's so beautiful, isn't it?
Nakoruru turned around and saw Ashura, her face was redder than Ashura's crimson eyes, Ashura was the handsome boy she had ever seen.
Nakoruru: It is. Can you sense this weird energy?
Ashura: Yes, I have been sensing it for a couple of months now. That is why you came to this world, right? To stop this creature from causing any destruction.
Nakoruru: Right, I have to deal with it.
Ashura: I will stop that creature myself. I have to protect my loved ones from that creature.
Nakoruru: Why do you want to get stronger?
Ashura: I don't know, I just want to control the darkness within me so that I cannot destroy everything. I want to regain my lost memories too.
Nakoruru: That's so noble of you, it's to go, it was nice knowing you.
Ashura: You too Koru.
Nakoruru just smiled and walked away, Ashura walked away too with a smile on his face.
[The following day]
Industrial Area
An industrial rooftop covered with pipes with a large refinery in the background. The stage takes place at night, with dark clouds and a crescent moon visible in the sky. Ashura was gonna fight the Yagami Team. He was facing off Mature and was bored. He only wanted to face Iori again.
Ashura: I'm ending this right now.
Mature: Just try it.
Ashura: Fine.
Announcer: ROUND 1, READY GO!
Ashura launched a large number of purple fireballs from his hands that coated the area around him, hitting Mature who was near in the area, knocking her unconscious.
Ashura: Told you so.
Announcer: Winner.
Vice was up next, she got on the opposite side of Ashura and got in her fighting stance.
Vice: Do you remember her?
Ashura: No, but I will. I'm done playing with you.
Announcer: ROUND 2, READY, GO!
Ashura touched the ground and caused an eruption of purple flames all around the area, knocking Vice unconscious.
Announcer: Winner.
Iori was up next, he got on the opposite side of Ashura and got in his fighting stance.
Announcer: ROUND 3, READY, GO!
Ashura released his purple flames to the area around them, engulfing almost the entire area around him and Iori.
Ashura: Enough prattle...
Iori: Here's to something don't you think...
Ashura/Iori: Let's rumble.
The two of them rushed at each other and started trading blows, Iori tried slashing Ashura on the head, but he ducked and tried clawing Iori in the guts but he dodged and tried kicking Ashura with his infamous backward kick, but Ashura countered with his own backward kick, then the two of them got away from each other.
Ashura rushed towards Iori and tried slashing Iori in the stomach, but Iori dodged and slashed Ashura in the back, making him bleed but the wound regenerated itself.
Iori slashed Ashura in the guts and Ashura slashed Iori in the guts, the two of them were bleeding, but Ashura's wounds were regenerating themselves.
The two of them were slashing each other repeatedly before they hit each other with flaming claws, sending each other a couple of feet away. Ashura's wounds regenerated themselves.
Iori threw a purple fiery projectile that ran across the floor to Ashura, who absorbed the flame and launched a big purple fireball towards Iori, who couldn't dodge in time and was hit by the attack, creating a huge explosion.
Iori got on his feet and struck Ashura with his rear hand, then his front, and finished with a double axe-handle punch, sending Ashura crashing to the ground. Ashura got on his feet and struck Iori with his rear hand, then his front, and finished with an upward claw, launching Iori into the sky, then Ashura did an upward claw attack that extended from his hand, hitting Iori.
Ashura hopped and took a big flaming swipe downward, missing Iori and Iori ran at Ashura, grabbing him by his head, then slammed him to the floor and made a purple fiery explosion.
Ashura got on his feet and did a clawing attack while sliding forwards, hitting Iori, followed up by a claw attack that launched Iori, then he grabbed Iori by his neck, then slammed Iori hard onto the ground in which he bounced into the air, before Ashura hit him with an upward slash.
Iori got on his feet and grabbed Ashura, then threw him behind him while he's still on his feet, followed up by jumps with his arms out, shrouded in purple flames, burning Ashura. Ashura got on his feet.
Iori tried swiping Ashura with his rear hand, then did a quick jab, but Ashura blocked all the attacks and tried hitting Iori with both of his fists, but Iori blocked the attack.
Iori rushed towards Ashura and grabbed him by the head and slammed him to the ground before lifting Ashura in the air akin to a cross-chokehold and nearly ripped him apart in an X-shaped motion
Ashura got on his feet and moved behind Iori, dug his nails into his back, then clawed upwards, launching him, before doing an upward claw attack that extended from his hand and hit Iori in the air.

Iori hit Ashura with a clawing attack while sliding forward, followed up by Iori hitting Ashura with a claw attack that launched him, then he grabbed Ashura by his neck, then slammed Ashura hard onto the ground in which he bounced into the air before Iori did an upward claw attack that extended from his hand and hit Ashura in the air.
Iori then dashed towards Ashura and hit him rapidly with a flurry of claws and scratches ending off by blasting him with multiple purple Fiery explosion that launched Ashura into the air and crashed to the ground. Ashura got on his feet.
Iori launched a group of small purple flames that slowly moved forward before exploding around Ashura, followed up by dashing towards Ashura and hit him rapidly with a flurry of claws and scratches ending off by blasting him with multiple purple Fiery explosion that launched Ashura into the air before Iori briefly succumbed to the Riot of the Blood and hit Ashura with a massive upward slice, eviscerating Ashura. Ashura still got on his feet, shocking Iori.
Ashura rushed towards Iori and repeatedly hit him with a powerful flurry of claws and scratches ending off by lifting Iori in the air akin to a cross-chokehold and dug his claws 3 times before nearly ripping him apart in an X-shaped motion before Ashura hit Iori with a massive upward slash, eviscerating Iori. Iori was on his shaky feet.
Iori got on his feet and he started coughing up blood, he then tried suppressing his blood rage. Ashura rushed towards Iori, intending to punch him.
Ashura: (That move is familiar, but where did I see it before?)
The punch connected and it turned out to be a mistake because as soon as the punch connected, Iori rapidly clawed Ashura 3 times, imbuing the Yasakani crest on top of him, ripping him to shreds. Ashura got on his feet and his wounds regenerated themselves.
Ashura: Let me show you how it's done.
Ashura jumped at Iori, then clawed him 3 times, nearly ripping him to shreds. Iori was unconscious after the attack.
Announcer: KO, WINNER!
Ashura: That was incredible, I hope we can do it again.
Ashura used his healing powers on Iori, after healing him, he walked away.
[The following day]
Neo Esaka, Osaka, Japan
Set on a raised platform overlooking the Esaka Station area of Osaka, Japan. Numerous sponsorship boards line the arena along with low fences to keep the fight contained to the platform. In the background, a billboard with portraits of the active fighters can be seen. Ashura was on the opposite side of Japan Team. Ashura and Goro were going to begin the fight.
Ashura: To rule the timeline is to wield inescapable death. Wouldn't you agree? Well, I have that power! All you can do is tremble in despair!
Goro: I have overcome myself and all my fears. There is not an enemy that can move me aside.
Ashura: Then die! Your existence ends here!
Announcer: Round 1, ready, Go!
Ashura rushed at Goro and punched him in the guts, then he lifted his Goro above his head, then slammed him down, followed up by strangling Goro while he's floored, he then released him.
Ashura waited for Goro to get on his feet, and when he got on his feet, Ashura tripped Goro up, letting him fall behind him. Goro got on his feet and rushed at Ashura, but as he was close, Ashura slammed Goro behind himself, then threw him high, letting him fall back to the ground.

He swept Goro's leg with a takedown, then slammed him either side of his body 7 times with increasing speed before throwing him high, and ending off by slapping the ground, creating an earthquake, harming Goro and knocking him unconscious.
Ashura: Rejoice! Your pain and fear will soon end, along with the world you built!

Benimaru was up next, he got in his fighting stance.

Benimaru got on his feet, but it was obvious that he wasn't gonna last a little longer.
In his desperate moment, Benimaru got near Ashura and tried punching Ashura with a fist that sparked with a large amount of electricity, but Ashura shocked everyone by destroying the ball of electricity by punching it. Ashura then punched Benimaru, sending him crashing to the ground. Ashura then waited for Benimaru to get on his feet.
Benimaru got on his feet and charged up his fist with a bolt of lightning before shooting out a bolt of lightning out of his fist at Ashura with a punch, Ashura just absorbed the stream of lightning before drawing his hand back, then did a straight jab (with his hand not in a fist) surrounded by a pulsating orb of electricity, shocking Benimaru and harming him.
Ashura kneeled down, then flew straight forward along the ground, feet-first, with his body imbued with electricity, along with two afterimages accompanying him, causing more harm to Benimaru.
Ashura then grabbed Benimaru by the head and a thunderstorm materialized high above the them, and created a massive bolt of crimson lightning that struck him and Benimaru. After the attack, Benimaru was unconscious while Ashura was unharmed by the lighting bolt.
Ashura: Tell me, did you really think you stood a chance with that street performance?
Announcer: Winner.
Kyo was up next, he got in his fighting stance.

Then the both of them threw them out in a big wave of flames, the two waves collided, creating an explosion. After the smoke died down, Ashura and Kyo were still on their feet.
Ashura punched Kyo before uppercutting him into the air before throwing a powerful front before he hit the ground, each punch he throws creates an explosion when he hits the opponent, followed up by punching Kyo with a hook punch before raising his left hand in the air and swung forward, releasing a wave of flames, harming Kyo.
Kyo rushed at Ashura and tried hitting him with a barrage of fists. Ashura was dodging a barrage of punches from Kyo. Kyo tried punching Ashura in the face with a fiery punch, but Ashura ducked and tripped Kyo with a double low kick.

Antonov Super Arena, Russia.
An outdoor stage area surrounded by packed grandstands and cameras both on the ground and raised above the fight via boom arms. In the background a platform can be seen, presumably where the winning team will receive their commendation. The crowd and the fighters were watching the finals. It was Ashura against Antonov.
Ashura: (This fight is gonna be easy, at least the other teams gave me a fight.) Ashura...mairimasu!
Antonov: This will be easy kid.
Ashura: ( I'm faster and stronger than this guy. Let me show him who is the real king of fighters)
Announcer: Ready, GO!
Ashura charged at Antonov and hit him with a quick series of attacks on Antonov; starting with a backfist, then a shoulder strike, and finishing with a turning elbow strike, then he retreated and then struck with a lunging side blow, knocking Antonov away.
Antonov got on his feet and tried delivering a powerful slam to Ashura's body but Ashura dodged and rushed towards Antonov with an uppercut, and then performed a turning side blow, knocking him away.
Antonov got on his feet and jumped into the air and launched himself towards Ashura before trying to punch him twice and tried tackling him with his back three times, which Ashura dodged too and rushed at Antonov with a barrage of kicks and finished him off with a flying stomp kick, gracefully landing after a backflip.
Antonov got on his feet again and leaped into the air and fell down before slamming his hands to the ground causing a shockwave all around, but Ashura was unscathed by the attack and hit Antonov with a spinning uppercut. Ashura then grabbed Antonov, turning around and rolled over him after a long jump, followed up by Ashura picking up the grounded Antonov, then slammed Antonov behind him, then he grabbed Antonov, slamming him 3 times before throwing him high, then caught him and slammed him to the floor, very hard.
Antonov got on his feet and tried punching Ashura but he evaded the punch and grabbed Antonov by his ankle, spinning him around and threw him high, then jumped up to catch him with a judo-style takedown.
Antonov got on his feet. Ashura charged at Antonov and jumped high into the air and hit Antonov in the face with a powerful punch, launching Antonov very far and created a crater.
Everyone were shocked at the fight.
Tung: I knew this fight was gonna be so easy but I didn't expect it to be a one sided beating.
Kyo: He defeated me in the semi finals again. He defeated me with my own attack again.
Iori: That's my student over there.
Kyo: We can see that. He is wearing your classic outfit but it is grey. Are you still training with him.
Iori: Yes, he may be stronger than me but he still got a lot to learn.
Mature: He is powerful than the Orochi. He is a former Hakkeshu after all.

The fighters were shocked at what they heard.

Vice: We don't know if the fourth clan still exist, the Kusanagi had the sword, The Yasakani had the Magatama necklace, the Yata clan had the mirror and the Shirayuki clan had the crystal flower. They had the ability to control ice. I wonder what happened to Ashura after the Orochi was sealed off
Iori: He was fatally injured and had to be in stasis for a long time in his dimension to recover his powers. I found him in the middle of the street and brought him to the hospital.
Back at the fight, Antonov has just gotten on his feet and was breathing heavily, indicating that he wouldn't last any longer.
Ashura: Hey champ, hit me with your strongest moves.
Antonov: All right.
Antonov delivered a powerful punch to Ashura's's stomach before raising him over his head and slammed him to the ground behind him, causing a crater beneath Ashura. Ashura got on his feet, unscathed by the attack.
Ashura: (Disappointed) That was the most pathetic attack I've ever taken in my life. Let me end this.
Ashura ran up to Antonov and started to rapidly punch him over and over again until he uppercutted Antonov away from him. Ashura rushed at Antonov and grabbed him by the legs and swinged him around and threw him away from him, Antonov crashed very hard.
Ashura leaped at Antonov and curled into a ball, he then crashed into Antonov very hard, harming him.
Ashura then got rid of coat and his white shirt, exposing his godlike body and raised his finger into the air. The crowd started going wild.
Ashura dashed backwards and forwards above a downed Antonov before falling elbow first onto Antonov's head, the crowd started cheering for Ashura.
Ashura was waiting for Antonov to get on his feet. Antonov slowly got on his feet and when he turned around, Ashura grabbed Antonov by his waist and slammed him into the ground head first. Antonov still got on his feet.
Ashura leaped onto Antonov and wrapped his legs around Antonov's head, preventing him from seeing before he spinned his body around to throw Antonov to the ground. Antonov got on his feet, dazed by the attack.
Ashura grabbed Antonov by his waist and suplexed him to the ground repeatedly before throwing him away and jumped up, wrapping his legs around Antonov's head and slammed his body to the ground. Antonov got on his feet and he suddenly fell to the ground, unconscious. The crowd cheered for Ashura.
Announcer: KO, WINNER IS ASHURA. CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE THE NEW KING OF FIGHTERS!
Ashura waved at the crowd. Ashura then started laughing (Iori's signature laugh) then a red aura surrounded him and he started laughing like a maniac.
Everyone got scared except for the others because they thought Ashura had lost it. Iori was smiling at Ashura.
Kyo: Eh Yagami, why is he laughing like you. Has he lost it or what?
Iori: I taught him to laugh like that.
Athena: Ashura is so cool and sexy.
Kensou: (Jealous) But I'm more cooler and sexier than him.
Athena: If you really think that, then I feel sorry for you.
[Back to the arena]
Ashura was about to receive the commendation, when suddenly the atmosphere around the arena changed abruptly.
The clear blue sky and the scattered white clouds had disappeared. In their place, black storm clouds had gathered, swirling, emitting blinding flashes of turquoise lightning.
Ashura: Here it comes, I've been sensing it since this tournament started.
The audience had fallen silent, and no one was moving, mistakenly thinking that the cracks in the sky were special effects staged by the tournament.
A bolt of lightning surged down, striking the ground some meters away from them with a deafening sound. Two more bolts destroyed a couple of giant screens and a third one shattered the stage, swallowing it in a big explosion.
The voices of the audience were heard again, but this time they were terrified screams.
Ashura shielded his eyes when the dust and smoke reached him. The whirlwind in the sky had turned red, and dozens of bright objects were coming out of it, as if materializing through a portal.
Ashura: Tch.
Ashura stepped aside as metallic trusses and the stadium's reflectors came crashing down.
When he looked around, Ashura saw the arena descending into chaos. People were running and stumbling, the scaffolding was toppling over, the flickering screens had caught fire. The metallic roof had cracked and a rain of debris was falling onto the terrified audience. Shrilling screams of pain were interspersed with desperate cries for help. Bodies lied face down on the aisles.
A dense black smoke obstructed the view toward the seats. When Ashura looked up again, half the stadium was in ruins. And, amidst the destruction, as if it were some kind of absurd joke, a reporter was commenting on the situation in front of a camera in a very shaky voice.
Ashura: [Harshly] Fool! Do you want to die!
The reporter winced, shook his head and ran for cover.
The stadium was coming down around him, and he didn't plan to leave until he could find out what was going on.
Ashura: [Smiling bitterly] The time paradox you have created has created this entity, Crimson. I'll do you a favor and destroy this entity before he destroys everything.
A fireball was descending from the sky, taking a humanoid shape.
Ashura felt his ki react to that being. It was definitely not human, and his body seemed to be made of fire. The creature's negative energy sent a shiver down his spine.
Ashura wondered if this was the power Nakoruru had mentioned, before the tournament started. Was it the same energy that had tried to possess Iori during the tournament?
Ashura looked towards where Athena was and saw a huge rock about to fall on top of her, he rushed towards her very fast.
[With Athena]
Athena looked on top of herself and saw a huge rock about to hit her, she closed her eyes and waited for her death, but she never felt anything. She opened her eyes and saw crimson eyes looking at her, she saw Ashura with a huge rock on his back but she didn't show any pain. Athena also felt something poking on her skirt. Ashura got on his feet and flung the rock away.
Ashura: Are you okay?
Athena: No, my ankle. The thing that poked me, was that your...
Ashura: Yes, it maybe big but even after I have used my shrinking power on it, it's still big. I have to get you to safety, I can't afford to lose you.
Ashura carried Athena bridal style and rushed towards the others, he got to Nakoruru and the others.
Nakoruru: It's here.
Ashura: I know. Take care of Athena for me, this creature tried to kill my best friend. I'm gonna kill it.
Ashura put Athena to the ground gently and rushed in the middle of the arena once again.
With a guttural growl, the creature attacked.
Ashura managed to evade the worst blow, and rolled to one side.
Ashura: [Annoyed] Tsk.
The creature growled again. The syllables formed a word that made no sense.
Ashura: Verse? I'll call you that.
Ashura said disdainfully, getting back to his feet. He could see the creature clearly now. His humanoid body was covered in armor, where bright golden grooves alternated with a dull opacity.
Ashura was startled when Verse closed the gap between them in a blink. Hands were floating in the air. Two pairs of hands that could attack as if they had a mind of their own.
Ashura threw a punch and his knuckles hit the solid mass of the creature's body. He felt the scorching heat coming out of the molten rock affixed deep on Verse's chest. He heard a cacophony of voices, screaming, wailing.
Ashura: The souls of the others are inside of you. Orochi, Ash, Chris, Saiki, Magaki, Mukai Shermie, Yashiro, Goenitz and Gaidel. I don't know about other voices.
Verse slowly walked towards Ashura while having his Fiery Illusionary Hands shoot out towards Ashura and tried punching him repeatedly, but Ashura blocked all the punches.
Verse shot out one of his Fiery Illusionary Hands at Ashura, who caught the hand and spun around before throwing the huge hand back towards Verse, hitting his armor and created a small dent on his armor.
Verse sent out his Fiery Illusionary Hands to grab Ashura and lifted him towards Verse, making him unable to fight back before Verse lifted Ashura by his neck, lifted him up before dropping and slamming him into the ground head first.
Verse raised one of his Fiery Illusionary Hands up above Ashura before slamming it down on top of Ashura, who caught the hand and jumped into the air with it before he spun around and threw the Hand towards Verse, hitting the armor once again.
Verse combined his two Fiery Illusionary Hands into one large fireball before shooting it at Ashura, who caught it and absorbed it.
Verse multiplied his Fiery Illusionary Hands and made them rain down from the sky on top of Ashura, who blocked them all.
Verse trapped Ashura in his pocket dimension before slamming his head with his two Fiery Illusionary Hands and then multiplied his Fiery Illusionary Hands into hundreds which he launched at Ashura, beating him repeatedly before shooting a beam of flames at him. The two of them returned back to the normal dimension.
Ashura rushed towards Verse and hit him back and forth on his body, breaking the armor before Ashura absorbed Verse's powers, after absorbing Verse's powers, Ashura punched Verse away from him.
Verse got on his feet and slowly walked towards Ashura. Ashura rushed at Verse using a normal human speed and punched Verse, successfully cracking his armor. Ashura then lit his crimson flames and punched him with a fiery punch, allowing his crimson flames to seep into the creature steadily, dissolving the darkness
Ashura got away and threw himself to the ground when Verse was set aflame. The creature disappeared in a beam of light that rose toward the heavens, where it exploded sending a million tiny fragments in all directions.
Ashura: I did it.
Ashura got on his feet and slowly walked towards the others with his hands in his pockets. The remaining fighters who witnessed the fight were shocked. Ashura used his healing powers on Athena, healing her.
Kyo: You're really amazing. where did you get powers like this.
Ashura: Maybe I'm the child of nature since I don't know my parents. That creature, Verse was incomplete. He had the souls of the dead people like Orochi, Chris, Shermie, Yashiro, Goenitz, Gaidel, Krizalid, Zero one, Zero, Igniz and the others. There's a possibility that they are already resurrected except for Orochi. Kyo, go meet up with Iori and Chizuru to stop Orochi from creating a new body.
Kyo: Right.
Kyo walked away.
Athena: Ashura, how do you know about that creature?
Ashura: I know everything, I have a feeling Verse was sent by someone. There's a possibility that Otoma=Raga is the one who sent him here to collect the souls. Koru let's go have the date that I promised you.
Nakoruru: Right, let's go.
The two of them walked away while grabbing each others hands, leaving the others shocked. Athena felt like crying when she saw her love interest with another girl.
Terry: When did it happen?
King: I thought he was gonna be with Athena because the two of them were very close to each other. Are you gonna be alright, Athena?

She suddenly fainted in front of the others. The others got worried.
Kensou: Is she okay?
Andy: She just fainted. I guess it was too much to see the boy she loved with another girl. Let's get her to a hospital.

So all of them went to the nearest hospital.
[In Athena's mind]
Athena found herself in a beautiful forest with a lot of animals, she continued walking until she reached a river and found a young woman with purple hair and golden Armor looking at the river. Athena walked towards the woman and saw a Golden Broadsword next to her.

The woman turned towards Athena and Athena got shocked when she saw the woman, she looked just like her.
Princess Athena: Hello to you too my reincarnation, I was waiting for you.
Athena: Why were you waiting for me?
Princess Athena: You love Ashura with all of your heart, right?
Athena: Right, what has that gotta do with you waiting for me?
Princess Athena: Let me just show you.
The landscape changed and Athena suddenly saw that she was in the middle of the forest. She and princess Athena were looking at the scene.
Athena: What are we gonna look at?
Princess Athena: Just watch.
Athena suddenly saw princess Athena limping towards the forest, she was a bloody mess and very wounded, she rested near a tree, then a wolf with glowing red eyes appeared and rushed towards princess Athena but a green glowing sword, impaled it, killing it. Athena looked at the wielder of the sword and was shocked to see Ashura wearing a black kimono robe and wooden slippers with white socks. After he killed the wolf, he turned towards princess Athena and looked at her with his demonic crimson eyes.
Princess Athena: Please help me return to the castle.
Ashura: Why should I help you?
Princess Athena: My father will give you anything you want.
Ashura: Everything right, can he restore a forest and revive dead beings.
Princess Athena: No, but there's gotta be something that you want.
Ashura didn't like it to see a beautiful girl like Athena in pain. He formed a blue fireball at in his hand and launched it at Princess Athena, who fought she was gonna die, but the fireball healed her wound. Princess Athena got on her feet and thanked Ashura.
Princess Athena: May I know the name of my saviour.
Ashura: I'm Ashura, it was nice knowing you princess Athena of the kingdom Victory. I better get going.
Ashura walked away, princess Athena was looking at Ashura with love and admiration. When Ashura got far away from princess Athena, he suddenly stopped.
Ashura: You can stop hiding Goenitz.
Goenitz suddenly showed himself.
Goenitz: Why did you save her?
Ashura: To gain her trust, you know that the princess is the allie of the 4 sacred treasures. She might tell me where those 4 clans are hiding the Kushinada.

Athena was shocked to see the carnage that Ashura caused. There were 4 other people on the ground who were struggling to stand. The first one was a man with black hair and blue eyes, the second one was a man with brown hair and eyes, the third one was a woman with raven black hair and black eyes, and the fourth one was a woman with icy blue hair and purple eyes. The black haired man was from the Yasakani clan, the brown haired man was from the Kusanagi clan, The Raven haired woman was from the Yata clan, and the icy blue haired woman was from the Shirayuki clan.
Kusanagi Ryoga: Why did you kill so many people of our clans.
Ashura: You were all in the way, I'll let you live for now. If you come stop lord Orochi's plans, I'm gonna kill all of you very painful.
Ashura started walking away but he was stopped by a familiar person.
Princess Athena: Ashura! What do you think I'm doing!?
Ashura: I'm gonna sacrifice this young to awaken lord Orochi. I've been using you all this time you slut, maybe lord Orochi can let me keep you so that I can use you for my own pleasure.
Princess Athena: Why are you doing this?

Princess Athena: It's because you love me.
Ashura: All this time I've been ignoring my feelings for you, it's time I stop holding back my feelings.
