When Izuku received that letter from Hisashi, he often thought of his reunion with Nisha and Aponia and how it would happen, he thought that he would dive in and catch both girl in a bear hug while he cried as he and his mom would often do. And now he was living at that moment. The thing he forgot to consider was the girls' own reactions, which seems to be as what he planned to do.
The instant Aponia and Nisha saw Izuku felt two masses hit him in the chest, losing his balance for his back to hit the floor with a loud thud as a groan escaped his lips. He winced as a sharp pain lodged itself in his head for a few seconds, his vision slightly blurred for an instant. That situation strangely had a sense of familiarity to it, of longing even. As his vision returned to normal and the pain in his head faded away his eyes fell upon the forms the blue-haired and her older sister, both had their arms tightly wrapped around his chest while their head were as his pectoral levels, the green-haired boy's heart stirred up as he immediately wrapped his own arms around them reciprocating the hug.
Izuku's eyes found themselves glued to Nisha for an obvious reason. The last time he saw her, he could clearly remember that her horns were sprouting from the top of her head and curving backwards and outward. When Izuku looks at Nisha now, he can see that her horns are larger than before, but this time they are protruding from the side of her head and curving upward in an arc before sticking up. Her horns were still white and covered by the same dark blue substance, but this time they were segmented with blue lines. Her eyes were also different. Much like her father, her eyes were now slit with a vertical black line in her crystal blue eye.
It didn't cannot catch Izuku's attention but was eventually put aside for now. The boy had to catch up with his friend.
Bringing his head down to press it against their owns, tears fell down his eyes staining his cheeks and his shirt but it was blatantly ignored as he embraced them even tighter in his arms for a few seconds before lifting his head up to look into Nisha's bright crystal blue eyes starring right back."Izuku-kun?! Is that you? "Nisha finally spoke up. Aponia and her eyes glowed so brightly that Izuku didn't even dare to answer. All he did was let his body act on its own. His hands lifted from Nisha and Aponia's back to their head, rubbing them with all the gentleness he could.
Nisha, followed by his sister, moved their arms at their turn around Izuku's neck with their faces against his shoulders.
"In the name of Phanes and the power vested within me, I declare you husband and wives," A voice cackled, trying to hold back his laughter as he was pipping in.
A record scratched.
The green-haired boy froze, a behavior well copied by the two girls, they robotically turned towards the direction of the voice, their eyes landed on a relatively tall boy that was around their age, he had orange hair with black eyes wearing a plain red shirt and a white pants. Nisha looked around, followed by Izuku .
Their worst fears became real as they caught sight of a laughing Hisashi holding a small rectangular metallic plate with a holographic tablet pointed upwards, ending with another black plate. The device was pointed towards them. The baby-blue-haired woman stared at them with stars in her eyes as she was eyeing them excitedly. Izuku fell a shiver run down his spine as he noticed Akashi looking at him like a pit-bull in a room full of 5 years old children. Miyuki noticed the behavior of her husband. Sighing, she leaned to whisper something in his ears. Whatever Akashi was told, it was enough for him to drop the glare he was giving Izuku into a small, dumb grin.
Minato was standing there, trying to realize the situation he was looking at. He repeatedly looked at the orange-haired kid and the pile of human bodies made by Izuku and the two girls."Are you guys g-getting m-married? C-congratulations!" the white-haired boy innocently chipped in.
His comment had various reactions, Hisashi couldn't hold back his own laugh anymore and started moved his free hand to his mouth trying in vain to keep his laugh in check, Miyuki facepalmed as she chuckled, Akashi looked at the scene a vein bulging on the side of his head holding back something. Minato was even more confused.
The trio saw themself surrounded in a light blue aura as their small bodies were lifted in the hair before they gently jerked upwards, landing on the ground nary a scratch. Izuku's eyes went to the form of the orange-haired boy, had his left hand lifted, the glow vanishing as swift as it came.
Miyuki's mouth turned into a small smile as she turned to the white-haired man "You better send my the video of this! Alice and the others are going to love this!" she reminded him. Nisha looked up in a mixture of dread and horror. She eventually caught on the entire situation and turn to the device in Hisashi's hand. Her entire face went atomic red as she almost tackled Izuku in another hug. She used Izuku's chest as a shield against the adult's gaze.
Aponia turned to the orange-haired boy. "Kyosuke…" Her voice sounded gentle, it contrasted well with her palm lifted and the bright lightning cackling in her hand. Kyosuke took a step back. "No, please!" He begged, his pleas fell on deaf ears as she took another step forwards. Fortunately for him, Aponia's cheeks were still red from the embarrassment of the situation. Before going to start her work, he looked back at Izuku curiously looking at her. She sighed before the lightning left her hand.
"Izuku-kun? How did you come here?" She asked. The boy in question had his eyes on Hisashi. "He kidnapped me!" He declared proudly. The white-haired man felt several glares directed at him. Hisashi looked once again offended "I… Wouldn't word it like that! I took you for playing with my nieces!". Kyosuke brought his palm to his face. "This isn't kidnapping. This is surprise adoption!" He snorted, ignoring the unsure looks he was receiving. "I don't want to be adopted! I love my parents very much!" Izuku's cheeks puffed as his head turned away. Akashi couldn't help but facepalm at Kyosuke's antics, while he was only 8 years old he has developed quite a chaotic personality, being exposed to internet at such a young age, it made him develop a unique sense of humor that he and Hisashi were fond of.
Nisha looked at the green-haired boy with red tints on her cheeks. 'Adorable', she said in her mind. She didn't take any chances of saying it out loud, not without her mother teasing her about everything she can. Akashi looked at Hisashi. "Can we talk in private? I've got something to ask." Hisashi stared at his eyes before going downstairs. "Okay, I'l explain." He motioned the Red-haired man to follow him. Akashi followed, but not without grunting in frustration, muttering something about Hisashi's schemes going to bite him in the ass. Miyuki turned to them. "Izuku-chan, do you want to eat something before you play with your gi- I mean my daughters?". She inquired.
Before Izuku could answer any question, a loud grumbling was heard. Everyone turned to the source to see Izuku, a clear blush, his head turning to face a corner of the room. "How about you take a seat while I cook something up for you while you catch up with Nisha-chan and Aponia-chan?" She walked up to him, rubbing the top of his head. Upon feeling the softness of his hair, her eyebrow raised as she looked at the girls next to him. "His hair is as fluffy as you said Aponia-chan!" She winked before walking down the stair in direction of the kitchen.
The green-haired boy felt a tug on his left shoulder. Turning to the source, he saw Kyosuke grinning at him. "Hello! My name is Kyosuke Midoriya. Nice to meet ya Izuku!" He introduced himself rather excitedly. Izuku saw the slight height difference between the two. While it was merely by around 2 inches, it was enough to make Izuku lift his head to keep eye contact. "My name is Yagi Izuku. Nice to meet you as well, Kyosuke-kun!" Izuku replied. Kyosuke's eyes went to a deep black to a glowing blue for a second before making a "Oh" sound in realization. "You're from Earth, right? Like Nisha and Aponia?" He inquired.
Izuku broke eye contact as he looked down. While this new planet and Sentinel thing was totally new and mind-blowing as learning that humans lived way beyond what your world can reach. "Y-yeah" He conceded. "I- "Izuku was about to speak again when a hand latched onto his wrist as he was basically dragged by Aponia to the couch, He was sitting on the couch between Nisha and Aponia and Nisha while on the opposite couch across the floating holographic table that leaned more on the dark grey than black.
"Izuku-kun? Have you been alright since we saw each other?" Aponia asked. Izuku and both girl has been separated for over 2 years. Izuku's mind flashed back in time as he reminisced about the memory he could recollect. While those years weren't the most enjoyable, he still cherished those years as those were the moments of life that led him between those two girls once again. Izuku grinned awkwardly. "It's been alright. Since we played together, I always went back to that park to play with you, but you guys couldn't. But this time we'll be able to play again!"
Nisha shifted her sitting position while Minato pipped up "i-Izuku, I w-wanted to a-ask. How is it in Japan?" Instead of the green-haired boy, it was the white-horned girl that practically bounced out of her seat to answer, "It's so cool! They have a lot of tasty food. We also have a lot of malls. Mom always says that whatever you're looking for, they have it. Nisha talked about the different things she could talk. Minato already heard Nisha ramble about her life in Japan. he was secretly disappointed that he couldn't hear about that place from Izuku and see how different their life was since Izuku was an ordinary human.
Footsteps were heard as Miyuki came up with a plate of steaming cookies. "I hope I haven't made you wait for too long. "She smiled at him. Izuku looked embarrassed. "Of course not. Thanks for the cookies. I'm sorry to be a bother to you. "Izuku apologized. This earned the confusion of the children present while a frown appeared on the baby-blue-haired woman's face. 'Why does he always feel like he's being a nuisance? Wait, Izuku is quirk- "Her bright orange eyes narrowed at Izuku 'I might ask Hisashi to keep some tabs on his home and school life.' She said to herself, Izuku seemed to always display some kind of reluctance to any display of kindness of politeness as if he thought he wasn't worth the effort.
"You aren't a bother at aren't a bother at all! This is the least I could go to." Her voice was firm, not letting any room for Izuku to say anything to dismiss himself. "They have chocolate and marshmallow chip in them." Miyuki declared as she went back to the stairs, "I have some call to do! If you need anything, come for me ."
"Sure Aunty! I'l tell you when the Marriage Certificate will be signed. "Kyosuke shot back, earning a glare from Nisha and a calm reaction from Aponia? "Kyosuke?" While her voice was as gently Izuku remembered the returning cackling golden lightning in her hand and the surrounding aura promised suffering "Okay I stop!" Kyosuke moved his hands up in surrender hoping to escape the wrath of the light-brown-haired girl. This at least earn a chuckle from the white-haired boy looking at his brother at the older girl's mercy.
"Mom's cookies are the best! Izuku, do you like them? "She spoke to voice her fondness for the special cookies her mother was used to cook for them only to see the plate already half empty while Izuku was stuffing his face with another delicious cookie. Everyone paused, staring at him. Aponia giggled. "I think he loves them." She commented. Now that she had the time to notice it, Izuku's hair seemed even longer than when they last seen each other. Her hand lifted, she brought her hand to Izuku's hair, feeling the soothing sensation of hair rubbing against her hand. She pictured Izuku as a sheep with his hair as the wool. It didn't go unnoticed as her younger sister took notice and puffed her cheeks.
Izuku repressed a squeal as he turned to see Aponia's hand in his hair. "Your hair is even softer than before!" she concluded. Meanwhile, Minato leaned over to whisper in his bother's ear, "Kyosuke, what are they doing?" He whispered into his ear. The said boy eyed the situation before pulling out something out of his pocket. A small rectangular shaped block. He discreetly pointed at the situation unfolding before them before putting it back in his pocket without a care in the world. "Let them do their thing." I don't want to face her anger again".
Footsteps were heard once again, only to be followed by Hisashi and Akashi's arrival.
Both men stopped dead on their track to observe the situation. Aponia was feeling Izuku's hair with Nisha, who joined while both boys started back and forth between them and Izuku's predicament.
\\\*Cough\\\* \\\*Gough\\\* Akashi fake coughed to get their attention. This made both retract their hand from the soft mass of wool while they stood straight as to make everyone forget what they were doing.
"Ignoring that!" Akashi pointed his finger towards the flustered trio "Hisashi must take Izuku to Ester." While Izuku was unsure of the reason he had to come, he jumped out of a seat while passing by a pouting Nisha. "I'm coming back guys!" He told them as he walked up to the two men. Akashi noticed the disappointment on her daughter's face. "When Izuku comes back, I'l take you to the beach and buy ice creams." He added. Before anyone showed their reaction. "Kyosuke, I know you want to see the world burn, but don't tease my daughters." With that, he bolted out of the apartment's door. Hisashi took the cue and spoke to the boy. "Follow me, it won't be very long, "He explained as both of them left.

Walking down the Halls of the facilities calmly, Izuku broke the silence. "Why are we going to see Ester-san?" Izuku inquired, not that he didn't trust the older man, but he was rather confused about the probable reason for his visit. Hisashi nodded in acknowledgement. It was a normal reaction. Now he thought of what to answer. "Let's just say… That we're going to see if you're alright. "Hisashi hesitantly answered. "But I'm not hurt, am I?" Izuku rebutted. Hisashi grew silent for a few seconds. "I already told you about devils, right?" Receiving a nod from the boy, he pressed on, "Devils are after Akashi's family. They can be found everywhere in Japan and they sometime put a mark on people who interacted with their target to keep tabs on them and where they are." Izuku's breath hitched as his mind concluded.
"If I was marked by them, does that mean that since I met them again? Does that mean that I told them where they are?" His throat felt dry as a knot formed in his stomach. Upon seeing where Izuku was going, Hisashi immediately cut him off. "Don't worry Izuku, Their mark doesn't work on Sentinel-Bis." Hisashi assured him. His face also showed a brief glimpse of anger. "I'd like to see them try. If they ever dare to come for them, I'll make sure they'll never come out of this alive." He muttered, his eyes glaring to the ground.
Fortunately, Izuku didn't understand what he was saying. He peeked at the windows to admire the view above the cloud lines. "I have so many questions about Sentinel-bis! Is there any other planet where you guys can go to? How did you guys got there without being discovered? Hisashi certainly didn't expect a change of subject, though it was a welcome one." Sentinel-Bis isn't the only planet Belobog is on. We've established on various planets! If I remember correctly, there are 4 Planet that we live -"
"I hope you aren't planning to make me wait for the entire day," A voice came from the hall on the right. They turned to see Ester wearing his googles on his forehead and some black gloves on his hands. "Sorry Ester, I was just talking to Izuku about how we colonized planets while not being discovered by Earthans."
Merely a snort escaping him. "Come. We've wasted enough time already. Already."
Entering the dark laboratory, Izuku's attention became fixated on the different machines present. She appearance itself of these machines looked foreign. He knew himself how Japan was technologically advanced and always invented and innovate. But these were like day and night. Those machines were mostly while and light-blue line traveled across them like veins.
He wondered what all those advanced machinery were for.
"Izuku." Ester called out to him. Turning to him, the dark blue-haired man handed him a metal respiratory mask. Put this over your mouth and enter this!" He pointed to a nearby glass tank opened by some stairs. Izuku glanced at the man before accepting. The mask felt tight on his face and covered from his chin to above the nose. He noticed that he had no trouble breathing through. "The mask is made for recording your breathing and allows you to stay under water without suffocating." He assured him. Giving him one last look before entering the tank. It there was a gaping hole in the side to allow Izuku to enter it .
Once within the glass dome, the opening seems to close itself like a wound healing with time. "Don't panic, I have everything under control." Ester instructed, "And if anything goes wrong because of him, I'l get you out of it before you know -Ack" He felt a fist slam onto his side from the scientist, giving him a deadpanned look. "Also, try to close your eyes if you're scared." The holes under Izuku's feet leaked some sort of light blue liquid that emanated a faint ethereal glow. The water rapidly rose to envelop Izuku and fill up the tank.
Izuku shut his eyes, but it was mostly it would be uncomfortable to have water in his eyes. Breathing with his mask as expected, he relaxed and waited. Meanwhile, Ester was rapidly typing on his digital keyboard, looking at a floating hologram of Izuku's silhouette. Ester turned to Hisashi, giving him an expecting look. Hisashi's face exhibited a serious demeanor, and the atmosphere tensed around him. Ester looked back as he pressed a key as a red line swept over the Izuku figure. After a few seconds, a window appeared containing a text. Ester leaned over to inspect the content. A sigh of relief escaped at his eyes, narrowed slightly over a specific part of the result. Hisashi looked over to see. His fist clenched slightly.
On the other side of the glass, Izuku was merely closing his eyes as he was hovering in the liquid a few inches off the metal plate. He followed the instruction with a relaxed, in slight curiosity. He opened his eyes to look at his surrounding. His vision was blurry and could barely make out some forms of its colors. Izuku's hand darted to the side of his head as he felt his head pounding as he felt a hammer smack the side of his head. The world around him because clear as the previously large room he was in was replaced by a much smaller one. He shook his head. He was still in a glass tank.
But these times all the machinery that previously filled the previous room was gone, only to be replaced by the singular tank he was in connected by tubes to a terminal managed by someone. He didn't recognize the figure, but there he caught on two facts really fast. First, the figure was alone, whereas there was supposed to be Ester and Hisashi. Second, the figure standing in front of him was a man with green hair, fair skin and blond golden hair that reached past his shoulder. He was wearing a very loose white shirt and purple pants. He was looking at Izuku expectantly
"Inject HHK-1 into Subject 626!" Those were the only words he heard as his blood ran cold. All warmth left his body, as he was as rigid as a corpse. His breathing hitched, his hands shook uncontrollably;
His vision flashed white as he found himself back in the tank in front of Ester and Hisashi. Both had their eyes glued to him with a concerned look, but Hisashi had a more serious gaze. The liquid leaked from the hole as the level of water lowered to eventually disappear, leaving Izuku with his clothes soaked. Just after the glass formed an opening, Izuku found his forehead being flicked on several times. Snapping out of his trance, he looked over to see Hisashi. "Are you alright? We saw you panicked!" he inquired. Izuku grasped the mask before tearing it off his face as if the wearing was paining him. His breathing was heavy, which was concerning.
"I'm fine" Izuku he reassured him. His words weren't completely trusted. Hisashi's eyes glowed with a faint cyan glow as he nodded to himself. The light in his eyes died down as fast as it came as the young boy felt his body being picked up as he was pulled out to be placed on the cold ground. The cold he felt brought him something to focus on rather than those visions. He couldn't make sense of these visions. ' I may ask Midoriya-san about them,' he said in his mind.
His body slightly trembled in the cold. Hisashi looked at the state of Izuku's clothes before saying, "You must be cold with all those soaked clothes. How about we get them dry?" He mused. He brought his palm up, a bluish flame resting on top of it. Izuku's eyes perked up, staring at the flame as he felt the warmth of the flame from a fairly enormous distance compared to the size of the flame, barely larger than a pea. Hisashi grinned as tilted his palm forwards, the small flame rolling down his finger. Just as the flame reached his middle finger, of his brought his hand in a flicking position as he flicked off the flame to Izuku.
Meanwhile, all of this was happening Ester looked blankly at the scene "I swear that that man-child will never stop bullying kids." he let out a groan "At least the test were conclusive…" He muttered, His eyes went over to the content of one file in particular. His panic must be from seeing…" he reasoned." This is further proof that it's as he expected." When Hisashi approached him a few years about this topic, he wasn't interested in the slightest in the white-haired man's shenanigans. But Hisashi revealed information to him that changed his perspective on that .
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Ester jolted from his seat to stand and run over to see Izuku covered in blue flames, trying to pry them out of him. Hisashi chuckled at the situation.
The flames died down as Izuku's clothes were slightly steaming." Your clothes are clean and dry!" he grinned. The poor boy's heart was beating beating out of his chest while his eyes almost bulged out of their socket. "What was that?! I thought I was going to die!" Izuku screamed out.
The dry chuckle let out by Hisashi and his mocking smile were enough to show that he enjoyed every bit of Izuku's reaction. "This wasn't the kind of fire that would harm you! It was-" Hisashi's was punched on the back of his head from behind while the sheer force of the blow was enough to knock Hisashi over and hammer his face into the ground sliding back with a noticeable chunk of the floor broken.. "Hisashi, it's his first time on Sentinel-bis and I'm pretty sure he knows nothing related to the different kinds of power we have there, not to mention you not telling him before using Enchanted Flames." He berated him.
He brought his left hand with him, snapping them as several spectral-like hand shaped appeared around Ester. Much to the curiosity of the young boy, Izuku finally spoke up, not acknowledging Hisashi's situation. "Enchanted flames? You mean the blue fire I thought I was burning into?" Ester hummed in contemplation before finding an appropriate answer for a child of his age. "Enchanted Flames is one of the ability that someone can learn in Belobog; it allow one's creating flames and change them to suit the usage. And…" he turned to see Hisashi's form being lifted off the ground with a large bump on this head despite the impressive mass of hair from his scalp." That numbskull changed fire so it couldn't burn either you or your clothes while making the water evaporate, all of that while keeping a comfortable temperature." He explained.
Izuku nodded in understanding, "So, did devils marked me?" He asked hopefully. The man's eyes barely narrowed, but quickly sighed and relaxed. "No, you were not." Ester approached the child. "Don't worry, if devils were after you, it wouldn't be long before Hisashi would kick their ass harder than Euri kick down the door hearing that someone is hungry." Ester shuddered. That woman had basically destroyed his door when he muttered that he hadn't eaten in two days. She practically shoved food in his throat. As much as her food was beyond divine, it would be better if she wouldn't force her food onto peoples.
A loud ring blared from Hisashi's as the man in question instantly took the call, as if he wasn't unconscious the previous second. "Yes?" Hisashi started, his gentle expression instantly faded away in favor of a more serious one. "Okay, I'm heading there!" Hisashi's eyebrow furrowed, He disappeared from the hands grasping his body, reappearing behind Izuku and Ester "I got called, there's a Honkai Nest in Soles!" He nearly shouted running towards the door passing it.
Hisashi took one last step as he disappeared, leaving both Izuku and Ester alone. "..." Izuku looked worried. "What happened?" He noticed the shift in Hisashi's both in expression and in behavior. "What is a Honkai Nest?" he inquired. The scientist merely growled in annoyance, 'Leaving me alone to deal with a curious kid who knows next to nothing about the story of the Night Sentinels. Sound like a recipe for disaster… though the kids seem smart enough to understand simple things.' he comforted himself;
Groaning to himself, he turned to the young boys "Honkai Nests are portals that randomly appear in our world with monsters called Honkai Beasts coming out of them to kill people." Ester explained, Izuku found himself confused "Aren't they demons? I always see on tv Demons coming out of some portals." Ester walked past Izuku to sit back in his seat typing on his computer, searching through something." Indeed, Demons also often come in the Human world via portals, though their portal corrupt the surrounding and covers the floor in flesh; Demons and Honkai Beasts are two totally different things altogether." Ester confirmed Izuku's inquires.
Looking at the standing Izuku, The red-eyes male spoke again "You aren't go learn anything by standing there! There is a small blue disk on the machine next to you. Can you bring it to me?" The small boy's eyes looked over to see the thin disk laying on a rather large cube with white lines going from the corners to the center of each face. Picking it up, he walked over to lift it up for Ester's hand to gently take it from him. "Thanks" His tone was surprisingly appreciative as he rubbed the top of Izuku's head with his gloved hand; His cheeks flushed red in as he shook his head side to side, his hairs swinging around to get the older man's hand off his hair.
"Why is everyone rubbing my hair with their hands?!" His cheeks puffed up, giving quite an adorable sight. Ester, help the disk over a crack before inserting it.'Your hair are way too soft.' he answered in his mind.. "Sir, I wanted to ask, What is your job? I know your a make machines but what type? Are they weapon?" Izuku asked. The dark blue-haired scientist gave Izuku an intrigued look. He pondered a few seconds before remembering that it was a child in front of him. He was probably looking at a lot of mean looking machines in his eyes.
"This is curious that a kid of your age asks those kinds of things. To answer your question… Yes, I mainly work on weapons that could be used against external threats. We always tried to improve our weaponry against enemies…" Ester started before typing on his computer as a window appeared showing various people with prosthetic limbs "While fighting is important, our priority still and will ever be to help the people, whatever disability or accidents, our technology has always been thought with the goal of making them regain the abilities they lost or make up for their bodies malfunctions." Izuku's eyes shone.
"I've been on earth before, while there was some improvement on the technology thanks to our help, they are way beneath us in term of prowess… Especially when it comes to the understanding of quirks…" He muttered that last part. Because of the proximity, the young boy could hear that last part. On earth, Quirks came mysteriously around 500 years ago with no prior warning. This caused a shift between the people. Those who were born with power used their powers for their selfish desires. In response, Brave individuals rose against that injustice, protecting the people was their primary directive. Thus began heroism.
Well, that was written in history books.
Once the nations stabilized, scientist all over the globe agonized in hope to reach an understanding of quirks. But in all of those centuries, all that were known nowadays were nearly nothing but superficial theories made out of observation of the populations. For example, Scientist has observed a causality between someone being quirkless and having a second joint in their pinky-toe. Since the appearance of quirks, one of the biggest discovery was the quirk factor. It was the source of this mystery, yet nobody ever found how it actually worked.
Izuku deduced that Belobog was much more knowledgeable about quirks, despite having only a few quirked individuals living there. He always loved to learn about other' people's quirk and learning how they were used for heroism. Learning that Ester knew more about quirks than anything his planet ever known. The boy wanted to ask what he meant and what they knew about quirks, but decided to let the topic for another time.
Ester's back was facing Izuku, still focused on his work. "Say Izuku… How are you doing down there?" Ester felt a drop of sweat form on the side of his forehead. Making small conversation was clearly out of his zone of comfort, yet he felt obligated to humor him, especially with Hisashi going out to take care of a minor emergency...
Izuku slightly sulked down his figure, slightly shrinking. "I'm doing well.. It's just that everything became weird." He confessed, albeit confused with himself at the same time. The atmosphere tensed as the words left his lips." Everyone looks at me like I did something wrong. Even my friend Kacchan is mean to me..."
Ester's eyebrow furrowed. "When did it start?" he inquired. His hand moved to the side, grasping a cup before drinking as Izuku picked up the smell of coffee. "When I was 4 or maybe even after.". A humming sound left Ester founding himself to contemplate Izuku's answers. "I must admit that social interactions and related topics are not in my skill set. But I'm sure that individuals like these would be detrimental to you." His aura went from relaxed to strict. His attitude and wording befitting of a scientist making an observation.
"Detrimental? What does it mean?" Izuku didn't head that word before. This actually caused the scientist to pause and turn back to the young boy. 'I forget that I'm talking to a child.' He awkwardly thought. "Detrimental means that it is harmful, that it will do more bad than good." Annoyance was displayed on Izuku's face. "Kacchan isn't bad. She's very talented and will become a hero."
Ester didn't give any answer other than a "Whatever you say, kid." as Izuku felt a finger flick against his head.
Hisashi repressed a groan as he felt the wind hurling in his face. Just when he was about to take Izuku back to play with the kids. He was currently falling down in the sky. His body was upside down. He neared the city as he headed an audible click in his ear. "Sir, we secured the perimeter but several Emperor-class has been detected. The evacuation is going smoothly."
The white-haired man nodded to himself as he moved his left hand to his ear. "I'm coming soon. Hold the line and try to group them in a single place with no one around, so I'll just be able to clean up swiftly." His tone was stern.
Hisashi's body flipped down to be upright as a small amount of light blue energy swirled around his feet. He briefly crouched as he landed on thin air before blasting forwards and disappear to the naked eye.
His brow furrowed, extending his arms to his sides. His right hand had a blood red merged with black, a great sword appeared. The weapon was as large as Hisashi's chest. The black-blade was double-edged, thinning on the ends into two dual sparks. Several veinlike lines coursed through the blade. The handle was rather large, fitting the length of the blade. It was but a simple rough black handle with a crimson red embedded in the tip.
In his left hand, a purple glow appeared. It expanded in opposite direction to form a stick like form before the ends had a fang light structure extrude from them. The glow subsided to show a white scythe with a white handle curving in opposite directions to have wing-like blade shapes covering amethyst colored blades. The scythe was also quite large in proportion. Looking from an outside perspective, one would say that these weapons were wielded with 2 hands each. Hisashi seemed comfortable enough with his large hand clinging to each weapon.
'I'm almost there,' he said to himself. He closed his eyes as he took a deep breath, still using his feet to create some small platform beneath his feet and propel himself even further.
His eyes caught sight of several white beasts rampaging through the street. It was something a kin to a rhino but several segmented white plates covering it and pinky lines in between, they each had two imposing horns as they pointing forwards. They were currently attacking a group of civilian defending themselves.
A man with grey hair pointed his arm upwards as a pulsing red energy dish formed. From anyone's perspective, the disc could be qualified as unstable, yet to the trained eye, it was a show of rigorous training. Whereas in Japan or most of earth nations, the usage of powers in self defense is considered a crime. But under Sentinel jurisdiction, things are completely different. Most of the population followed some training in school starting relatively young for two main reasons, Since the government decided that the population shouldn't rely on Sentinels to protect themselves in case of emergency or if no one could assist, Combat classes were a standard throughout Belobog.
He brought his hand back as the disk seemed to grow even more unstable, with a swing of his arm the disk was bolting forwards in direction of one of them. The beast was too late to register the incoming projective and was effectively cut in half by it, causing his body to rapidly decay and turn into ash. However, this gained the attention of a pack of them. Clumping together in a tight formation, they swarmed from all sides. Lightning flashed as several beasts' body spasmed to lie lifeless after a woman pointed her hand towards them.
Behind the grey-haired man on top of a roof stood a beast, nothing like the kinds they were currently fighting. It looked like an oversized frog with white, purple skin and white eyes with a familiar pinky vein going from its tight to the chest. The man was in its line of sight. Bouncing off the edge and opening its mouth as a long pinky tongue with a spike springing out shot out about to slice the man from behind. The man only noticed when it was waiting too late to react.
Before anything else could happen, the tongue split in several pieces as blood bursted out, and the spike was reduced to mere harmless shards, meanwhile the owner of the tongue was missing its head and his right foot. The other civilian also noticed that each of the beast that were coming after them suffered a similar situation with their chest sliced in two and their organs falling out. "You guys did well on your own. Please evacuate while we take over." Hisashi spoke. Looking at the wary face in front of him, he spoke up again, "I'm going to take care of them.".
"Wouldn't it be better if we assist you?" one of them asked. Hisashi shook his head. "My attacks are too destructive. You can get to the evacuation area and see if any help is needed there." The remaining person's present nodded to themselves, running away from the scenes. Hisashi sighed in relief while readying his weapon. His great sword pointing forwards while the scythe was parallel to the ground.
One of the beast made the mistake of jumping forwards attacking the white-haired man directly. The reaction was swift, Hisashi's left foot stepped forwards, his blade priorly blade down tilted the sword so the edge was pointing to the right. A dark aura engulfed the sword. Hisashi spun on himself in a graceful 360 turn. This caused an equally dark red halo to form. The beast was already split in two in a clean horizontal slash, with his stomach missing. Using that momentum. Hisashi's eyes narrowed at a group of neared aligned foes and eventually threw the double-bladed scythe at them, spinning like a flying circular chainsaw. The sound of air being torn asunder with each spin of the blades could only hint how fast the weapon was thrown.
At the first contact, the behemoth-like beast let out a shriek just before he was beheaded. The scythe carved the flesh as the back of one blade bounced off the wall it was laying. It led to the spinning weapon to alter its trajectory to bolt towards another beast. Attempting to deflect the weapon, the beast lifted their claws. It was proven futile shown by the entire body split in two, parting the upper jaw from the lower. The scythe continued to rampage like it had a mind of its own.
The white-haired Sentinel looked over the other side of the street to see another horde coming his way. He spun around, pulling his arm back, the tip of the blade pointing forwards. Flexing his legs and leaning forwards, dashing forwards, only leaving behind a small crater, kicking off the dust and a sonic boom resonating.
Piercing the white flesh at it jerked back Hisashi's grip tightened, adding strength to carve the monster downwards, blood splattering the white concrete as the savage strike was more than enough to end its life. Hisashi's looked to the left to see a car-sized Birst with a small block in the head's place with only 2 lines going downwards with sharp fangs protruding from the chin charging at him. Leaping just in time to let the bird pass to pass under him.
Grabbing hold of its neck with his free hand, his body twisting upside down, he used his shining momentum to slam the avian against the ground with such force that the ground underneath shook and broke, only leaving a puddle remaining. Instantly spotting his next target, he rushed down, lifting his sword before cleaving downward. He efficiently reversed his grip, turning around, lifting the blade up the flat of the blade, blocking several energy balls exploding upon contact.'I hate those Honkai beasts… Always attacking from afar,' Hisashi internally spat. Reversing his grip, once again swinging the great sword and swinging to his left, his vision adjusted, so did his blade to be directed towards the beast.
Crimson red energy briskly gathered around the blade, covering it entirely before briefly expanded. Swinging with all his might, The energy soared through the air flashing as it made contact with the beast before causing an enormous explosion."This should be it for this perimeter. I should move to the next." Extending his left hand outwards. The scythe responded by flying from the other side of the street back to him.
Hearing an explosion from the distance made him groan in frustration. "Thoses disgusting things aren't going to stop, aren't they?" He breathed, still ready for battle.
Ester grumbled in frustration.
Being a scientist was nothing short of taxing, both mentally and physically. It mostly consisted of resolving a problem with each failure piling knowledge or changing approaches to fit the situation. Yet the last project he's been working on was on a dead end. All those sleepless nights spent on building the machine calibrating all the sensors for safety measures. He has been flipping the damn thing at every angle imaginable to find the cause of the lack of response of the machine after turning it on. His elbows rested on the edge of his keyboard while his palm were on his face.
Next to him, Izuku was sitting on a flying holographic chair that Ester pulled out of a compartment or the furniture room. The green-haired boy was eyeing the man slightly empathically, remembering his own moment where he didn't understand his schoolworks.
"I've verified everything. The clock of all the processor are perfectly synchronized with the scanners, the circuits are in perfect conditions, the power block is functioning as planned, the tank is hermetically closed so no leaks should happen. But still! The damn thing doesn't work." His fist hammered on the non-working machine.
"What are you working on?" Izuku questioned. He found himself gain an interest in Ester's work. While he was just a child taken in under strange circumstances, Ester still took the time to explain his work and the concepts he wasn't familiar enough. Ester has made his frustration concerning his latest invention quite clear, but Izuku still wasn't privy to the machine's utility. "I'm currently working on a machine than can speed up recovery." He answered. Izuku took a second to contemplate and process his words. This effectively made him confused with certain points. "Midoriya-san and Nisha-chan's parents can heal, and since Hisashi is a sentinel, I though that you guys can heal yourself, can you not ?"
Ester crouched down to open a small trapdoor on the right side of the machine."While you are right, us Sentinels can heal ourselves in case of injury. The problem is coming from the fact that a tiny percentage of us possess healing abilities, either regeneration of oneself or the power to heal much serious damage like severed limbs. Since ancient time we've learned that demons and honkais possess much greater healing factor than us able to regenerate injuries otherwise fatal to humans." Peeking through the hole to survey the state of the neatly arranged wires. "While technology is far superior to Earth, we still haven't replicated safely with technology their healing prowess. This invention would be a breakthrough in my research."
Indeed, by being able to simulate such things, it could lighten tremendously the workload of individual with greater healing abilities. "Are you working alone on that?" Ester snorted at the remark. This project was already a pain to deal as a team, the hassle it would be if he were to work alone on that. "Of course not, my teams are working in another facility, And a scientist has been helping me. Her name is Erin. She's from the neighboring nation of Kha-"
Several knocking sounds resonated through the room, causing Izuku and Ester to stop their discussion and direct their attention to the incoming person. Standing before them was a tall blond man with his hair styled in a side-ponytail. He had vibrant green eyes, sporting a simple lost white shirt with the collar slightly hanging half-way, exposing his pectorals along a purple trench-coat. He wore a grey pants with a brown belt with a golden buckle and black business shoes. Ester stood up before looking over his left shoulder. He then decided to walk up to him.
Izuku eyes the man curiously, the person exuded an aura of what royalty would have, his odd choice of clothes and his overall appearance let him think that he was an important person, the young boy also had a sense of familiarity with that person, a chill ran down his spine as he recalled his vision, seeing the uncanny resemblance between them he soundlessly jumped off the chair and walked up to the opening Ester project has and bend over to hide as much as he could. From an outside perspective, Izuku's behavior was reminiscent of an ostrich hiding his head in the ground in response to surrounding danger.
Ester didn't notice Izuku's action and questioned the man. "Sir? I wasn't notified of your arrival! Is something the matter?" Ester placed his hands behind his back, his right hand grasping his other wrist. His tone wasn't harsh, not defiant, but it was laced with some annoyance and confusion. The blond man had his hands in his pocket standing tall looking at the machine behind the scientist. "Didn't you receive the message?" Ester raised an eyebrow. His work involved meeting with the higher ups and some department of Belobog's government. He was used to weekly visits from the supervisors that checked on the advancement of assignments.
"Let me check!" Ester hoped that he didn't forget to check his mail this morning. He was so obsessed with his work, along with his assistants, to verify if anything was supposed to come up today. A familiar holographic tablet flew to his hand. Swiping up to search for the most recent inbox. The red-eyes man wanted to facepalm at his own forgetfulness.
"..." The silence while Ester stared at the man, sweat-drops trickling down his forehead."I apologize for my mistake. I was too focused on the project that I simply forget to check my mail." A chuckle escaped his lips as he watched the scientist's embarrassing moments."This isn't the first time you forget about that!" The playful jab seemed to have stabbed Ester in the chest. He remembers having more than once neglected such things. Most of the times he would get a slap on the wrist and lecture about preparing to reports the advancements of the ongoing projects.
"We shall not speak of that… the project is going on a dead end. Me and my teams has been searching every probable reason for the machine to turn on, but nothing seems to work. We even tested each piece individually, and they actually worked. It's just that everything put together just doesn't seem to make sense." Ester informed. Green eyes met red ones."That's unfortunate. Ignoring the current state of affair are the group cooperating well, It's difficult to work with that much people while cooperating with each other."
"Erin's teams were a welcome addition to the project, while it is a little harder to work with that much people at the same time. It proved to be quite efficient in the en-"
The ground beneath them shook while a creaking noise blared around the room. Both men turned around to face the exact machine that gave Ester all those sleepless nights. His blood-red eyes burned bright as a faint excess of energy leaked from his pupils. His eyes darted to the form of Izuku bent overlooking into the mechanical mess. Raising his hand as an instinctive response, a red aura enveloped Izuku, as he was forced back all the way to them. Several turbines spun within the machine as several lights on the control panel lit up.
"What have you done?" Ester nearly shouted, his mind only registering Izuku suspended in the air. The boy was violently pulled back. The blond man looked at Izuku, intrigued, asking himself about the reason a boy no less old than 6 would be in a scientific laboratory. As the machine roared brighter, a holographic screen hovered above the control panel appeared and a quick succession of tabs appeared.
Few seconds later, the turbine seems to have stabilized, and the ground stopped shaking. Ester stared at the screen before giving one last look towards Izuku before placing him on the ground before walking up to the control panel. Hesitantly yet acutely typing on the keyboard, his eyes scanning each window. His pupils dilated slightly.
Rubbing any potential dust in his eyes that would be caused any hallucination "The machine is… fully operational." Ester revealed this situation wasn't making any sense. Days were spent agonizing over trying to fix the damn thing, and whatever the young child did, it resulted in what was in front of him. "Izuku, what did you do?" He demanded. The blond man froze at the name. His eyes going from the scientist to Izuku, his breathing caught in his throat.
He felt his entire body shook. But calmed down and maintain his composure. He saw the boy fidget in place. "I didn't want to touch anything at first, but I saw that too many cables were connected to the same side. I know that if we connect to many things on the same side, they can't melt and overheat. ". Ester stopped for a moment before realizing what Izuku was implying 'Each component of the machine came with their own safety protocols, they're useful to prevent most case of accidents but we've forgotten to take them into account… And by the other side he meant the auxiliary port that we planned to used to connect the machine to the main system. He unknowingly also adjusted the power output to match each component needs and limit as to avoid any block from the safeties while powering the entire machine,' He told himself. The work in front of him was way too professional to be just some clumsy child at play. Today has already proven to be quite the headache, first his failure with the newly operational machine, second Hisashi bringing Izuku here by kidnapping him, forgetting the weekly inspection and now the same child Hisashi brought fixed the thing he couldn't. So he didn't dwell on the matter any longer for now.
Letting out a deep breath, Ester turned to Izuku. "As much as you did a great thing today, please don't do it again. This could have ended badly!" Izuku nodded in understanding and slight regret. "Excuse me, but can I ask your name? It's the first time I seen you here." The blond man asked Izuku, extending his hand in a handshake. While Izuku still felt weary of the taller man in front of him, he still lifted his hand and shook his. "My name is Yagi Izuku. It's actually my first time coming here."
The man smiled at him. "My name is Otto, Otto Apocalypse. Pleased to meet you !".
