Seeing how Disney is rebooting many things, even for Disney+, it gives me the idea of a somewhat story-based reboot of House of Mouse, an old series in which Mickey and his friends run a nightclub and offer service to several characters from all of the cartoons and full-length animated cinematic achievements produced before and after Walt Disney's death. There have been three seasons created so far before the series was dropped, and if you're familiar with it like RawToonage is, as well as several other forgotten Disney films, it might leave you to wonder how characters from things like The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Lilo & Stitch, Treasure Planet, and Brother Bear could attend. Also, there are some things to factor in like how Beast went from human to beast at will in episode 1 of HoM, and think that maybe Kenai could do something similar.
Now, I imagine a reboot starring someone voiced or played by me. Could be live-action, could be CGI or cel-animated. He's walking around "Toontown" seeing new cartoons like characters from Amphibia walking around, minding their own business, and old ones doing the same. It leaves that person, Reginald Sowget, to wonder about the results of their interactions with each other. Then, one day, Reginald discovers a building, which has not deteriorated but might get there, due to the fact that it was abandoned years ago. This building is the House of Mouse and it's a surprise that no one demolished it. Being experienced in running places and hosting parties and gatherings for a while, he gets the idea to gather friends of his, some experienced in architecture, some in technological improvements, others in business and economics, others in restaurants and catering kind of like me when hosting parties.
One day, the House of Mouse is looking renovated, looking like what it used to be, with some modifications to the decor. And the tv screen, which was once a projection screen with the House of Mouse logo on it, likely without the word "Disney" on it, now is both that, and something as if the screen is a glorified computer screen, with a flat desktop in the control panel, and two tabs open. One for the logo, and one for accessing Disney+. The thing is still a projection screen as well since several Mickey Mouse Works shorts and old-school Disney cartoons like Lonesome Ghosts and The Brave Little Tailor aren't on the streaming service, although those last two shorts are, you get my point. Machines and humans could be there to cook and serve food on the modified menus, with several original items from the original series being served, and items that would be on the menus of things like the Windows Moon Cafe by The Gemmy Rebel of YouTube.
Other products served could also include fresh produce and whatnot.
The chairs could also all be office chairs to help people look at the screen properly, yet cannot do 360-degree rotations.
Reginald hopes that Mickey and his friends would not bear any anger towards him for what he's doing to and with the club, the moment they find out what's going on.
One night, Sowget and his compadres are outside the front doors, with some discussing that since the House of Mouse comes with searchlights, they should show old-school 20th Century Fox motion pictures like Gentleman Prefer Blondes when they come out on Disney+.
Reginald: Actually, I don't think that's such a good idea. I mean, a number of guests at the House of Mouse might be of Asian heritage, and some of them might feel jealous from getting the wrong idea about which types of one gender prefer which types of opposite genders, not to mention that some characters like Elsa might be LGBT. Also, I'm sure that some of the film's philosophies, including the idea of diamonds being a girl's best friend, is dated.
Quin Phumog: Pfft. What's the worst that could happen?
Reg: I think that a number of people will take their oppositions of some things seriously and start rioting. And we've already renovated the place.
Quin: Lel. Like that'll ever happen.
?: *clears throat*
Reg turns to see Anne Boonchuy(Brenda Song) and the Plantars at the door, and Marcy Wu(Haley Tju) with them.
Reg: Oh. Sorry. Didn't see you there.
Anne: It's cool. Say, is this place open.
Reg: It is. Go right on in.
Marcy and Sprig(Justin Felbinger): Thanks.
The group walks in.
Reg: Okay. You guys know your jobs at this place. I'm gonna be the host and emcee like Mickey always was. Some of you will stay here and allow or prohibit people from entering. I hope some of you guys will be guarding all the entrances via all the doors and the ventilation system.
Gwepfo Scyzuek: You can count on us.
Reg: As for the ones at the front door, you'll need this list. *gives them a blacklist, consisting of the faces and names of several people that are considered villains, especially Disney villains* This will help you out with who gets to come and who doesn't. And remember, do not accept any bribes.
Miec Sugen: Okay.
Several people go in the front door or through the back, with me headed for the dressing room to prepare. Someone looks from the other side of the curtain and sees that the main characters from The Owl House, The Princess and the Frog, Brother Bear, Treasure Planet, Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, Phineas and Ferb, Frozen, Gravity Falls, Big Hero 6, Milo Murphy's Law, Zootopia, Home on the Range, Moana, and Raya and the Last Dragon are attending the club.
After a while, Reginald goes on stage, introduces himself, and welcomes them to the House of Mouse, telling them about when Mickey Mouse and his friends were running the place. He also tells them about some policies. One, no smoking. Two, no alcoholic consumption or sneaking such beverages in. Three, no drugs can be sneaked in. Four, no foul-mouthed cursing. Five, be courteous to others. And many more policies, the last and most important policy, being, strictly no villains allowed.
Reginald: The reason for that policy is a good one, and I'll simplify it in an understandable way. One Halloween night less than 20 years ago. One villain, Jafar, got others like Captain Hook, Cruella De Vill, Ursula, and later Hades in on his plot to take over, since Halloween is no longer on tricks. At midnight, they took over, and ran for a moment, though it was brief, as Mickey was able to get the club back. Fearing that people like Bill Cipher will conspire similar plots, I'd rather not risk any of it happening again. So for the House of Mouse's own safety, all the villains are on the backlist and must never come here.
Everyone has a good understanding of the reason. They wouldn't want the same thing happening again unless the Disney villains all learn their lessons. There might also be odds that they've learned nothing from what happened.
Reginald: Right. Let's get started.
To be continued...
