I have this one idea inspired by zachlor's Meeting a Loud and some aspects of 1049's 1 Boy 10 Mermaids and Smoking Wrecker's Loud Mermaids. For those of you recalling Meeting a Loud, you probably know how the story was written, with it being an AU of the Louds adopting Lincoln and so forth. 1049 hasn't updated 1 Boy 10 Mermaids, so we might not see Lincoln and his parents discovering the 10 girls' true identities as mermaids. Though he'll hopefully be back to bring it from the ashes. And Loud Mermaids is still being updated with new chapters.
With all this in mind, here's the idea. It's where all the Loud siblings come from different families and have resided in an orphanage following the loss of their parents. Some of them might be related to each other, but you still get the idea. If you guys have any ideas for who should be related to each other and who shouldn't in this idea, tell me in the reviews.
They meet Lynn and Rita Loud, who decide to take them in. You can pretty much figure out the results, having read zachlor's project and similar works, like this one AU where Lynn was adopted, being a half-sister of the Louds and is related to Polly Pain, her and Margo Roberts helping her with her problems. Could still be fourth wall breaks, which I might discuss in a few chapters. And maybe they could make the same friends best known as them in the original series. Clyde McBride, Polly Pain, Haiku, Liam Hunnicutt, Margo Roberts, Carol Pingrey, Girl Jordan, Shannon, Ruby, Mollie, Maddie, Paula, Ronnie Anne, you get the point. Maybe some people they never did get around to befriending during the original series, and probably never will there.
I'll leave out fantasy factors and prioritize realism to distinguish it from the original series.
