A user here, Smoking Wrecker, wrote a few Loud House fanfics based on superhero-related franchises. I actually read them, and it gives me an interesting idea.
For those of you who read his projects and saw X-Men: Days of Future Past, I was thinking for a few weeks, or a couple of months or less, about this:
I have this idea for a scientist similar to Bolivar Trask, who knows everything about merfolk, dragons, mutants, etc. He has performed some experiments, and like Peter Dinklage's portrayal, sees them as salvation. But just in case none might be available, and to do something about hostiles like anti-human non-humans, sea witches included, draws blueprints for humanoid machines, which are based on the Sentinels. He shares his findings with several government officials and leaders, his ideals, and his plans.
These weaponized entities, with the ability to detect those creatures, and read their minds to know of their hostility or lack thereof, are forged, somewhat with Cybertronian technology and T-cogs if the universe in question is crossed over with Transformers(I'll go for if it is an X-over, the continuities from 2010 to today that involve interactions between the two factions and humankind.), and are unleashed, with later editions allowing for them to adapt to any abilities their adversaries might use to take them down, even regardless of whether they're in robot mode or vehicle mode if, again, crossover with Transformers.
Regardless, the scientist would eventually die of natural causes, but later, the Sentinel-inspired weapons could no longer tell the difference between who's hostile and vice versa and identify the genetics of humans whose future descendants might be any of those creatures. You can guess what goes down since that point. Even human sympathizers would be targeted. And while a number of the entities could still possess humanoid designs, there could also be those that, while still possessing T-cogs and alt modes(again, if Transformers crossover) as well as the ability to adapt to anyone else's, would don designs that are insectoid, arachnoid, crab, or cephalopod like, similar to what is seen in The Second Renaissance: Part 2(from The Animatrix).
All this leads to a future akin to that of the opening scene of the 2014 film, with organic entities powerless or not at the mercy of these machines who are lacking it.
Is there a way to rescue everyone from extinction? Or is the existence of Cybertronians, organics, etc a lost cause? This could be something worth thinking about, despite the complications. My creativity is both a blessing and a curse. Also, the Transformers exist in Loud 10.
There could be hypothetical trailers utilizing The Eyes of the Truth by Enigma, the same way the original theatrical trailer for The Matrix did, but it's the original version.
Interesting feats if I do say so myself.
