This is a story of Ron and Hermione but in an alternative universe as muggles. I wanted the story to continue after deathly hallows but I am struggling with Wizard world so I resulted in a muggle story.

Chapter 1

Ron and Hermione have been friends since they were a kid. Meet in school, fought in the library, played in the streets and got hurt, fall in love and did everything together with their best friend, Harry.

Right after college, the trio moved in together in a flat in the center of London and shared the pricey rent. Ron and Harry graduated from the academy and due to their outstanding performance were recruited by the FBI. Hermione on the other hand continued her studies majoring in Psychology.

"Who the hell is this guy?!" Ron reacted as the first face who greeted him and Harry after 31-hour work is a photo of a guy in the middle of Hermione's board in the living room.

"I think that's her latest case for school. I think his name is Henry Seinze." Harry replied as he placed his and Ron's shoe on the rack properly to avoid getting nagged by Hermione.

"How'd you know that?" Ron asked, then Harry pointed to the name on the top of the board and shrugged. Scanning the board, Ron and Harry got a rough idea of who Harold Seinze is. "I can't believe she goes off studying this kind of people."

"Both of you are working with psychopaths and serial killers, who are you to judge?" Hermione came out of her room already dressed and prepared to leave.

Harry who finds it funny, marched toward Hermione and kissed her cheek. "Well, Ron and I do not post photos of them and their victims in the living room, do we?"

"That's because we are not psychopaths." Ron did the same and ruffled her hair. "Don't be too pretty, it's a school you are going, lady."

Slapping his hands away from her, she rolled her eyes. "Normal people dress this way, Ronald. You on the other hand, if we live in a book, they would describe you as a hobo."

Harry laughed as Ron glared at them. Hermione continued to the door and gave a farewell to the two, "I cooked dinner yesterday, you can reheat it and eat it for breakfast before you both decide to sleep for the day."

"Well, my friends said they'd be home for dinner and in case you both forgot, dinner does not partake 7 in the morning." She added when Ron rolled his eyes at the idea of reheating dinner. "And also, Harry please reheat the food or he'll burn down the whole place."

"I am very much capable of reheating food."

"You're also capable of burning down a house all by yourself." She replied then leave the apartment.

"Really, mate? Her clothes?" snickered Harry. Ron just rolled his eyes. "I should reheat the food before you try to prove yourself to no one."

"Shut up, Harry."

It's normal for Hermione to go home to a silent house as Ron and Harry are both always at work. But this time, all of the lights in the house are on, and the sound of two people screaming could be heard across the apartment.

In the middle of the room, both of them are looking at the screen shouting or maybe fighting with it. "This is a first."

"Hermione, you're home." Ron greeted her. Obviously, she thought. "Got a new game. Dying to try it out."

"Boys..." She muttered under her breath. "This is something you don't often see. Well, normally Ron would still be asleep, and Harry... Oh." It dawned on her. Harry just recently broke up with his girlfriend, Ginny, who also happens to be Ron's sister. She gave an awkward smile towards Harry.

"Right, Oh... Anyway, Hermione, go away we are playing the game of the century." Ron said.

She rolled her eyes at him, "Enjoy your game as I am just here to change my clothes for my date this evening. Anyway, I have a stock projection report on the coffee table, leave the money inside and I'll invest them tomorrow."

Ron stopped listening after the word date which made his whole body stiffen which is oblivious to Hermione. "This date, is it with a guy?"

The whole situation is just funny to Harry. He was there when both of his friends started dating. For three months their breakfast, library meet-up, and even hanging out were so awkward that they both decided to just be friends. They liked each other but being a friend to lover is a transition that both of them had a hard time adjusting to.

"No, Ron it's with a dog, I think he barked the whole time we first talked." Hermione joked. For her, this is normal, as Ron always questions his love life. Harry still finds the whole conversation interesting.

He rolls his eyes at her. "I think you should just stay here and help me nurse Harry and his broken heart." He kicked Harry and gestured to pretend like he is hopeless. So he faked cyring. "See, he needs both of us."

"Well, Harry, love, I am sorry but I made this reservation a long time ago and canceled a lot of times due to school. It would be rude."

Harry decided to put misery on Ron, "It's fine Hermione. At least one of us is happily dating. Ignore Ron, the only girls he can confidently talk to are you and the IT girl at work whose name is Lavander. He is just jealous you have a love life."

"You're the best Harry." She hugged Harry and murmured encouraging words before she marched to change her clothes.

When Hermione left, Ron turned to his best friend. "Harry! Aren't you on team Ron?"

"Team Ron? What the bloody hell are you talking about?" Harry laugh.

"Remember, it's Ron and Hermione till the end."

"Mate, you sound like the male lead in a romance movie."

When Ron stood up and paced around the room, Harry realize his work is done. "I thought it was you who said that if Hermione is the girl for you she'd come back even after you let her go."

Ron sighed, "By the looks of it, she's not coming back anytime soon."

Harry stood and placed his hand on his shoulder. "I already told you that she won't come back unless you show her you want her to."
