Eating breakfast with a stubborn Ron and a heartbroken Harry is the most challenging day for Hermione. Ron keeps on glaring at her for no obvious reason while Harry is just toying with his food.

"Are you guys going home tonight? Should I prepare dinner?" Not one replied so she continued, "You both just came from a high-profile case, so would it just be paperwork today?"

Still, the only sound that could be heard is the clanking of utensils. "Oh, for Pete's sake, the bloody hell Harry? You've already lost Ginny once are going to mop around and let somebody else get here?"

Surprised by the sudden outburst, Harry nodded at her.

"It is just a bloody fight Harry, a woman loves to be consoled, more than you know we also feel stupid, and the more you took your time to console us the more we question if you love us."

Harry suddenly stood with conviction and confidence. "You're right. I gotta go." He said as he kissed her on the cheek. "Ron, tell Snape I am going to be late."

After Harry left the apartment, Hermione turned to the guy glaring at her. "What the bloody hell is your problem?" She said and matched his glare on her.

"What time did you get home?"

"Well, according to the clock, it's none of your damn business." She continued to eat. "I have a life you know."

He rolled his eyes but still stared his glared at her. "So do I but did you see me go home at 3 am."

"I do actually, just a month ago. Both you and Harry got home ridiculously drunk. Said it was a celebration of a job well done. I think the exact time is 3:25 in the morning. Frightened me, thought you guys were a burglar."

"That's not the point. We can handle ourselves and you're-"

"A girl." She cut him off. Hermione stood up and lean closer to him. "You know, Ron, sometimes you're too adorable that I can't help but smack you in the face. Be careful, I may as well just do it."

"That was quick," Ron said when Harry marched in before the briefing starts. "Any news?"

A large beaming smile comes from Harry, "I say congratulations are in order. We are getting married."

Ron snorted but felt happy for his friend, "That escalated quickly. Didn't know you have that in you?"

"Been waiting for-"

"Potter, Weasley, do I need to move the briefing just so you two could powder your nose and reapply your lipstick?" Snap snapped behind them.

"Sorry, Sir." The two looked apologetic but didn't make a move to go to the said meeting.

"What are you two waiting for? Into the conference room!"

"Yes, Sir!" They said in unison.

"That was weird. How does Snape know that woman reapply their lipsticks?" Harry asked in a hushed tone.

"I think he does it." Both of them laughed as they entered the room.

"We just got back from a high profile case and now they want us to do undercover on a case we barely know of," Neville complained after a 3-hour briefing of a case no one in their department has heard of.

"Nev, you don't do undercover. You're our IT man. You'll stay here with your computers and keyboards. Don't cry over split milk, mate. Look on the bright side, you'll have Lavender to assist you." Ron said. He laughed as Neville's cheek turns pink.

"Ron, what school does Hermione goes to again?" Harry asked. He's been quiet since the meeting ended.

"I don't know. Something door Academy."

"Dumbledore Academy."

"Yeh, that one."

Harry looks at Ron and then at something behind him, "That explains a lot." He chuckled at the look of confusion on Ron's. "Snape said we have a new profiler for the case. He said the gal is a student from Dumbledore Academy."

Ron was shocked, "A student? They are letting a student work with us?"

"That's what you got from what he said? You are a bloody idiot." Ron heard a voice from behind him. He turned around to find Hermione together with Snape.

She smiled at Ron and Harry then turned her attention to the other people in the room. "Hermione Granger doing fieldwork for Professor McGonagall."

Still confused about what is happening, Ron asked, "Minerva is a professor?"

"That's not important Weasley. Starting today, Miss Granger would assist in the operation as our new profiler," Snape announced. "And as it appears that Weasley is familiar to Miss Granger, I'll leave it to you to brief her for the operation."

"Snape, didn't you say that the new profiler would be part of the undercover?" Harry asked.

"I hope you listen well Potter as I don't like repeating myself, the new profiler, Miss Granger, she'll do the undercover as the wife."

Harry suddenly stand up as Ron's eyes popped. The ranging concern and worry about their friend sprang first.

"Bloody hell! This is mental. She's new and knows nothing about doing undercover and then what do you want her to be a part of a big case? That's like throwing her in a war with no guns at all." Ron said outrageously

"I have a brain and know how to take care of myself. What I don't have is an emotional range of a teaspoon. I haven't got a clue that my field assignment will be with the two of you. If I was just some girl that both of you didn't know, I bet my arse you both would be willing to let me sacrifice myself to a war."

Hermione didn't want to back down. She wanted the job, she wanted the experience and she wanted the recognition of Professor McGonagall she's been yearning for since the day she first step into her class. Ever since Professor McGonagall gave her the assignment, she was willing to dive first without thinking at all. The only downside to this is that she has to work with her overprotective friends.

Just then, Minerva McGonagall, the head of the profiling program at the FBI stepped forward and said, "I believe the decision is not up for opinions, I recruited Miss Granger as she's shown impressive work in her academics. And judging by the way she holds up herself in front of everyone who believes that she is not par for this work, she can handle herself just fine."

She turned to Ron and Harry, "Weasly, Potter, I'll leave it to both of you to brief Miss Granger so she would have a gun for the war you mentioned."

"She can't be the wife!" Ron suddenly said.

Confused, McGonagall said, "And why is that? Who do you want to be the wife? We have a shortage of profilers in the program, Mister Weasley, would you rather have me be the wife?"

Ron sighed, "No, Ma'am."
