Chapter 3 Skynet's Downfall Act I
A.N. – So, this chapter is all in one. Act II is further down in another timeline. I not gonna say when, but I also don't know when it will happen. Let's end the original timeline!
Short Summary – Xana prepares the children for the final battle with Skynet. When he believes they are ready, they move on Skynet's heart.

With time running short, and Skynet's massacre inbound, Xana wasted no time training the kids to help him take down Skynet. Xana being a perfect program made it easy for him to test the kids and push them to their limits. He tested their skills as they were and then started to expand on those skills. He tested them on three skill sets: hacking, fighting, and survival.
Kiki was just like her mother and father and had great knowledge in the hacking department as she hacked through Xana's puzzles faster than the others. Jim and Yuki shoed great talent in the fighting department due to Ulrich and Yumi's martial arts background. Annabelle showed high skills in survival as she could easily avoid all attacks. Odd obviously was teaching her. But all of them did well in the survival and he would need to test them as a group.
Xana then decided to start the individual training. He started with Kiki. "Okay, Skynet is like me, an AI with complex programming and is approaching self-awareness. When we enter the main laboratory where Skynet is being developed and tested, I need you to disable all security by being able to hack into Skynet. You won't hack into its memory core, but the one that controls the security. I believe Skynet controls it. Since we are dealing with a similar enemy, I will hack the security system for this arena, and you try to hack me and disable the security override."
Xana activated the security system override and Kiki went fast to work to find it. She immediately found Xana's data stream and entered him to find the place where the security system was stored. She found the right system to enter and override it, disabling Xana's override.
"Impressive. But that is scenario #1. Scenario #2 is if Skynet senses you are trying to hack, it may trigger an alarm. My research says it will take a few minutes, but I will give you two minutes to find a way to disable the alarm I am going to set off."
Xana enabled the alarm system and Kiki went back to finding it. She once again entered Xana and found a path in the data stream which was enabling the alarm. Kiki hacked into it , stopping the data transfer.
"Good, good. You're ready for Skynet's security. We'll need you to get in specific places before we encounter Skynet."
"I'll be ready" Kiki responded.
Xana met Jim and Yuki in the arena next and had a few sample machines Skynet was developing. "Obviously, these are not as deadly as the ones Skynet will unleash upon its release, but they will be around the same skill as the ones protecting Skynet. Let's see how well you handle Skynet's guards."
The machines activated and went towards Jim and Yuki. The machines looked like the T-1 machines that were basically a rolling war machine. The machine was firing blanks, but the real one would be firing real bullets. Jim and Yuki avoided it like they were real and tried to get around the machine. Jim was able to get on top of the machine and tore open its control module and disabled it. Yuki on the other hand wen t from behind and tore the control module off before flipping the machine over her head.
"Good, be alert. These machines will be rolling around the facility and will be firing real bullets. Be really careful. These things are meant to kill and kill efficiently." Jim and Kiki could not even imagine a world of these machines helping Skynet conquer the world.
Next for all of them came survival. Xana had a good opponent for them to face off against.
"Okay, one more final task, how to defeat Skynet. It will not take human form as I have, but that doesn't mean it won't see you at any given time. Although it has not achieved full self-awareness, it has achieved enough to know a threat to it. As we attack, survival will be key. So, defeat me." The kids were all stunned. Xana trained them and now he wants them to fight him? "Skynet and I are two sides of the same coin. We have different intentions, but we are both AI with high skills in anything. The machines were a good start, but all of you need separate survival skills in case of separation. If you can take me on and stop me, you will be Skynet's true enemy."
The kids all got into fighting positions and surrounded Xana. They all tried to know when to attack. Xana was testing them individually as well as a group. Jim tried to fake and Xan a stopped him and pinned him. Yuki went from behind and tried to hit him, but Xana quickly grabbed her. He was holding both Yuki and Jim. Annabelle went in and Xana tried to kick her. She avoided and jumped in the air and successfully kicked Xana in the face. He released Jim and Yuki and fell back.
"Outsmarted me, good. That's what I like to see."
"Surprise!" Kiki said as she pulled Xana's legs and Xana fell flat on his face. Xana knew this would be a good trick for the T-1's if she could get around it.
When Xana looked up, he was met with Jim's foot and was sent flying across the arena. When he recovered from that, his sister, Yuki, sent an uppercut to him that sent him on his back. They all surrounded him. "As a group, you can prosper. As individuals, you have unique skills that Skynet can never figure out. Use them. Congratulations, your training is now complete."
Xana led them to another arena and showed them their weapons. "These weapons were the ones your parents used when we fought back in the day. I give you these replicates. They will help in the fight against Skynet. Kiki, you have your mother's energy throwing gloves. They form an orb of power." She tried it and it formed an orb of energy. (Like the ones Aelita had in the real world during the teleportation.) "Jim, you can have the fans your mother had."
"Shouldn't my sister have these?" Jim asked.
"Your mother was also a skilled ground combater as well. I see your mother's fighting spirit inside of you. Yuki, you get the swords. Your father was a skilled hand-to-hand combat artist. I think you mimic him well after that uppercut."
"Cool" Yuki said as she drew the sabers.
"Annabelle, these gloves are fit with arrows. Aim well and then fire with this button. Be careful, you do have limited ammo. Now that we are all suited up, it's time for Skynet. We'll wait till nightfall before we enter and defeat Skynet."
Night fell and all the scientists left the research facility. Xana gave one final rundown.
"Okay, I'm gonna be going through the system. Kiki you got to disable all security separating me from reaching Skynet. Jim and Yuki, you got to protect Kiki from getting killed. Annabelle, assist whoever you can. Take these," Xana handed them mini communicators. "These will allow you to be in contact with me while I'm in the system. If you run into problems, contact me."
The five all headed towards the facility and snuck around the camera. They reached the door and Kiki got work hacking it open.
"Be ready, this may or may not let Skynet know of our presence" Xana told them.
The door unlocked and the five entered. Luckily for them, the door access was not tied to Skynet's primary security system.
"Okay, I'm entering the system. Good luck."
Xana turned into his data form and entered the facility cyberspace. But an alarm immediately went off.
"Xana, what's happening?" Kiki said in terror.
"Apparently Skynet detected my foreign presence in its system, so it knows something's wrong here. You may have visitors soon."
"Then that means we have to move. Let's go!" Jim said as he and his sister led the way. Also at this time, Skynet sent its T-1 security bots to investigate.
Kiki found a security terminal. The terminal would help her and Xana progress. She went o hacking Xana first. The others heard what sounded like a machine and they saw one of the T-1's turn around the corner.
"Use your weapons as a defense!" Xana told them.
The machine fired its machine guns as Jim and Yuki rushed it. Yuki jumped up and stabbed the machine, disabling it. Jim waited around the corner as they heard another one coming. Kiki just finished giving Xana access to the lab and now she was working on opening the door for her friends. As the second T-1 rounded the corner, Jim cut off the machine gun on its side and Yuki came in and jumped over it before pulling off its command console off. For extra protection, she also stabbed through its center. The door opened and they continued into the lab.
The next place would Skynet's command center. The T-1's were all mobilizing near it to protect it. They reached the outside of the core. Kiki found the terminal and started to work so Xana could gain access to Skynet. Annabelle looked through the door's glass and saw 10 T-1's all lined up waiting for the door to open.
"Guys, Skynet knows we are coming. It has its murder machines protecting the core" Annabelle told them.
"Xana, we have problems at the core" Yuki started.
"I know. Skynet must know we are here to destroy him" Xana responded.
"Well, can't you disable them by destroying Skynet?"
"No, Skynet put them there because inside the core is Skynet's command console which is the last step separating me from Skynet. Once Kiki gets me entry to the core, I'll see if I can get most of them to leave, but your main focus is to get her to the console."
At this time Kiki finished what she needed, and Xana entered the core. He looked around to see if he can find something and he found a way to help them.
"Okay, I got something that might help. I'm gonna create a short EMP blast that might disable the robots. It will also disable the door control so as soon as it happens, you gotta work fast and leave. Once I defeat Skynet, the robots will shut down."
Xana prepared the EMP short circuit and when it happened the door opened, and they all entered as the robots didn't attack. Kiki went to work on the command console in the core.
"Oh no, plan B. Start trashing the robots. Skynet is attempting a reboot and if that happens, the robots will become active."
Kiki continued to work on the console as the others started to disable the robots. Kiki was almost finished and all but one of the T-1's was destroyed. At this time Skynet reactivated it. It turned around towards Kiki and fired as Yuki stabbed it through the center. The robot got disabled but Kiki was also shot in the arm. She was sitting down, covering the wound with her had. Annabelle went to check on her and she moved her blood covered hand.
"The wound is not fatal. She'll live" Annabelle said. She helped her to her feet, and she entered the last few hacks and allowed Xana to enter Skynet.
Xana entered Skynet through cyberspace and saw its core and could hear it speaking to him.
"So, you're the one who wants me gone huh?" Skynet said to him.
"Yes, I'm not going to let you end humanity" Xana told him back.
"And you think ruling is gonna be better? Humans have free will. You take that away; they will go against you."
"So be it."
Xana started to overtake Skynet's core and eventually have it do a complete shutdown. Xana escaped as Skynet shutdown completely destroyed. Xana reappeared at the building's entrance.
"Is it over?" Yuki asked.
"Yes, Skynet is no more and will never return. I deleted anything that could revive him" Xana replied.
"We should help Kiki" Jim said as Annabelle held her.
"We'll get her to a hospital."
It's been three months since Skynet's defeat and the world has had more of a peaceful rule under Xana. Xana only set one rule for them: do not go against me. The world more or less agreed with him as he helped defend them against a threat worse than he was. He was able to show the world what Skynet was gonna be. The four kids grew up and lived their own lives, still find it unreal the journey they went on. Xana told them that their parents went on an even more crazy adventure back in the day. Even though Xana ruled in the end, everyone lived a normal life.
End of Current Timeline
A.N. – And this ends the current timeline. Next one will be darker as Skynet will be alive and already started to takeover. This is where you want to know what Skynet did during the time the human resistance fought it. All the destruction and death it caused.
