Chapter 8 Together as One
A.N. – So, now we start to focus on the other Lyoko Warriors as Skynet continues to try to kill the twins, but now with Jeremy and Aelita involved, they have also become threats to him. A new terminator arrives, so let's begin!
Short Summary – Erin and Erina tell the story of what they know in the future of Skynet. After hearing this, the twins, Jeremy, and Aelita reach out to the others to try to convince them, but it won't be easy.

In the current timeline, Skynet has recently discovered his first terminator has become inactive and concludes that it was eliminated. "Time to send something a little stronger and deadlier." Skynet pulls out the T-1000 model.
"Oh God no! Not that thing!" John says recalling his last encounter with the model.
"Oh yes, the model that nearly killed you and that pesky mom of yours. If that reprogrammed model wasn't there, I would have full control."
"Enjoy this now. Once the twins convince everyone else and Xana, your days are numbered."
"Which why now everyone they come into contact with will be eliminated. The more people know of me, the less chance I will have to survive." He sends the T-1000 model back in time.
The twins have fully explained the coming of Skynet.
"So, that's how grim the future looks huh?" Jeremy says.
"Yeah, imagine what happened yesterday, only with about 100 times more and about time a billion of people who died yesterday" Erin replies.
"Yeah, hundreds of cyborgs and billions dead. Judgement Day and its approaching with each passing minute" Erina adds.
"So, the only way to stop Judgment Day is to allow Xana to live?" Aelita asks.
"Well, yes. We still have to convince the others as well as him himself. We are not ready to attack Skynet yet" Erin says.
"Wait, Skynet is alive?! Now?!" Jeremy asks in fear.
"Yes, just docile. Hasn't gained enough self-awareness to become a threat. By its release, it will gain 100% self-awareness and declare humanity a threat which will lead to the nuclear holocaust" Erina tells him.
"What's to say Xana won't take his place?" Aelita questions.
"You got a better idea. This thing is a major threat that we can't touch. Skynet isn't as easy as just pulling a plug. This thing was able to take over by taking cyberspace, infecting the world and making more of these killing machines" Erin says.
"That's why the cyborgs are more advanced versions of the robots in Siberia. He must have noticed them and then improved them" Jeremy concludes.
"Probably. As long as Skynet remains alive here, the future is not safe" Erina adds.
"Aelita, I know that you don't trust Xana, but right now, your father's creation is probably the only thing that can secure our future."
"I'll go along, but we need the others" Aelita says.
The new T-1000 model arrives and looks around. It arrived in a less populated area, but not without picking up the attention of a police officer. A passing cruiser noticed the strange blue glow coming from the alley.
"This is car 64. Suspicious activity near sector 62. Going to investigate" The officer says.
"10-4" the dispatch says.
The officer slowly approaches the alley and draws his gun. He peeks around the corner and notices the naked man standing there. "Hands up! Turn around!" the officer says pointing his gun at him. The terminator turns around and approaches him. He starts shooting, but the bullets don't make him bleed. As he runs out of ammo, the skin heels itself. He scans his outfit and decides it could help him get through the city. He grabs his neck and snaps it before taking his clothes and using the cop car to his advantage.
The twins were allowed to stay with their parents until they got rid of this situation. The next morning, they all discussed how to get in contact with the others.
"Can't you just call?" Erin asks.
"Since we all moved on with our individual lives, we only call for emergencies. Maybe once this is all over, we can eliminate that" Jeremy responds.
"And this isn't an emergency?!" Erin says with annoyance.
"He means a Xana emergency. In order to get them, we have to find them personally" Aelita says.
"But they could be anywhere in the city" Erina says.
"Or in the world which complicates everything. We needed to keep a low profile while we fought Xana till we eliminate him" Jeremy informs them.
"So how do we find the others?' Erin asks.
"A little network hacking" Aelita says.
"If I search their names, I can find recent purchase or records and we can get an exact location" Jeremy says as he searches them all up. "Got it. Yumi and Ulrich are here in the city. And Odd, he is somewhere near the outskirt at a studio apartment."
"Okay, let's go before Skynet sends some unwelcome company with more unfriendly actions" Erina says as they head out.
"We'll drop the kids at my parents place."
The terminator has complete access to all records in the Paris area. He got the names of the rest of the warriors from Skynet. He searched them all up and found that Yumi and Ulrich were closer by. He decided to go after them first.
Jeremy, Aelita, and the twins arrived at Yumi and Ulrich's place.
"Nice place" Erin said.
"Yeah, they're combined skills allowed them to save enough to get somewhere decent" Aelita told them. They all approached their front door. Jeremy rang the doorbell.
"Think they'll come quietly?" Erina asks.
"They'll be just as stubborn as us. No one would believe you after what we are going through" Jeremy says.
Ulrich answers the door. "Jeremy, what are you doing here? And who are these two?"
"Ulrich is Yumi here too?" Aelita asks.
"Yeah, why? Is Xana active?"
"No but something much worse" Jeremy says.
"Jeremy, nothing can be worse than Xana."
"Trust us, you never seen anything like this before" Erin says.
"Exactly who are you two?"
"Erin."
"Erina," Erina says next. "We come back from the future to stop the extinction of humanity, but not from Xana."
"Jeremy, where did you pick these two up? The local asylum?"
"Trust them Ulrich. After what we experienced, you would never believe it" Jeremy tells him.
"After we all experienced with Xana, it takes a lot to surprise me."
Suddenly a car pulls up and the terminator steps out. "Did Yumi call the cops?" Erina asks.
"I don't think so. What's he doing here?"
As the officer approached, he had his eyes locked on Erin. "A terminator!"
"Are you sure?" Erina asks. The officer has his arm turn into a spear. "Okay, I take it back, he's a terminator."
"A what?" Ulrich asks.
"Inside now!" Erin says. They all rushed inside as he ran towards them. Erin slammed the door as the terminator sent its spear through the door and only inches from impaling Erin. "Holy shit!" He took his spear out and prepared to enter the house.
"What the hell was that?"
"That was a terminator. A cyborg disguised as a human sent back by Skynet to kill us and now most likely all of us. But that wasn't the same one that was sent first" Erina explains.
"Think Skynet has advanced models?" Erin asks.
"Most likely. I don't know why John didn't tell us Skynet had different models."
"Which means we don't know what's coming if we get rid of this fucker."
"What the hell is going on?" Yumi asks as she shows up.
"Not the best time Yumi" Ulrich says.
"Why?"
Suddenly the terminator busts through. "Because apparently this thing wants to kill us" Ulrich tells her.
"Got any weapons?" Erin asks Ulrich.
"Like?"
"Guns."
"No! We fight physically."
"Well he'll kill you if you do that!" The terminator forms his arm into a spear again. "No weapons of any kind that can help us stop him."
"That's just how we are."
"Then the only thing we can do is run!" Everyone takes off into a run and the terminator chases them.
"Split up! Confuse him!" Jeremy says as him, Aelita, and the twins take off towards the basement, and Ulrich and Yumi head to protect the kids.
"Damn, trapped." They hear the terminator come down the stairs. "Hide, quickly!"
The terminator enters the empty room, but knows they are here. He morphs into Ulrich. "Hey guys, he's gone" the terminator says, but sounds like Ulrich. Jeremy and Aelita are hiding behind the washing and drying machine. The twins are hiding in a spare closet.
Ulrich and Yumi are outside loading the kids up. "Take them to your parent's place and then call me. I'm gonna try to help them" Ulrich says.
"Where are you going?" Yumi asks.
"If anything, we gonna go get Odd, so head over in that direction immediately."
The terminator morphed into his original form as it was not working on luring them out. Jeremy and Aelita stayed completely still as the twins peaked out from a small hole. The terminator approached the closet. He formed a spear and then sliced through the closet on both sides, missing the twins. The twins were panicked stricken as they had to hold back their cries of fear. Ulrich showed up with a chainsaw from the garden shed and sliced through him, cutting him in half.
The twins, Jeremy, and Aelita emerged. Jeremy noticed the substance on the ground. "Liquid metal…" It then started to move to reform the terminator. "Let's move!" Everyone escaped before the terminator reformed and then started to pursue. They all drove away and headed towards Odd's place, with the terminator not far behind.
"Let me guess, he's not dead yet" Ulrich asks.
"Did you see him? He's made of some kind of liquid metal. He can phase through objects and then reform. He can't be killed" Erin says.
"On top of that, liquid metal has an extremely high melt rate due to the liquid part. Melting him might be the only way to stop him" Jeremy adds.
"There is an art foundry that has operational melting pots here in Paris. Let's get Odd and then we'll head there" Erina says.
"So, can I get a rundown?" Ulrich asks.
"I'll give you a cliffnotes version. We are from a future where Skynet has caused most of humanity's extinction through a nuclear holocaust, we call Judgement Day. The only way that was known to stop Skynet is to keep Xana alive. And we only have six months before Judgement Day" Erin explains.
"You want to keep Xana alive? Are you insane ?!"
"It's either him or billions will die, maybe even all of you. Your fates are all unknown in the future" Erina says.
"And I suggest you keep him alive" Erin adds.
"Trust us Ulrich. We weren't aboard either until we saw what attacked them. But you saw it. Imagine what else it could have. If Xana is the only key to Skynet's destruction, then we have to try" Aelita says.
"Let's get Odd and kill this thing and then we can discuss this" Ulrich concludes.
Everyone arrives at Odd's place. Jeremy sees a familiar car far in the distance. "We're gonna have company here soon."
"Then let's not drag our feet" Erina says as they rush for the door.
Erin rings the bell multiple times. "Hey pal, hold the fire" Odd tells him once he answers.
"Inside now and close the door quickly!" Erin says and they do. Erin looks through as he can clearly see the terminator in the car. "It's him alright."
"So, he had a plan to come here" Jeremy says.
"Jeremy, Aelita, nice to see the Einstein's again" Odd says.
"Save the catch-up for later. We got a bigger problem. Is anyone else here?" Erina asks Odd.
"No, my girlfriend and I are saving up to buy an actual house."
"You actually got a girlfriend Odd?" Ulrich asks.
"Like they said, catch-up later."
"Quiet" Erin says as the terminator enters. He knocks on the door.
"I got a package for a mister Odd Della Robbia" the terminator says looking at his files. Erin motions to do nothing, trying to convince him that no one's home. The terminator turns into his liquid form and moves under the floor.
"Oh no." He reforms and smiles evilly.
"RUN!" Erin yells as the terminator strikes his arm. He grabs it and continues to run. They manage to hide before the terminator catches up. "Any weapons? Guns and what not?"
"We can't kill him!" Ulrich quietly yells.
"We can at least slow him down" Erina replies.
"I got a shotgun in my bedroom" Odd says.
When the terminator passes, Erin silently exits and heads up to Odd's room. He looks under his mattress and sees the shotgun. He loads it up. "Six shots. More than enough." He silently heads back downstairs. He sees the terminator about to open up the hiding spot. "Hey asshole!" He turns and Erin blasts him sending him flying back. "Let's move!"
They all run out and escape just as the terminator heals himself. They all run out to meet with Yumi. "We're heading to the foundry. Let's go!" Ulrich tells her as he, Yumi, and Odd get in her car. The twins, Jeremy, and Aelita get in the other and then speed off. The terminator gets in his and speeds off after them.
On the car trip, Erina heels his brother's arm that got stabbed. "This should stop the bleeding long enough till we can stitch you up."
All of them arrive at the foundry. "Okay, the goal is to get him into the melting pot," Jeremy says. "Which means this part needs pinpoint timing and coordination. If anyone of us falls or fails, then we can't pull this off. Here's the plan." Everyone gathered around.
They all headed inside as the terminator arrived. They knew that it would not come willingly, so they needed to lure it to the melting pot. Erina went first. "Hey Skynet. Looking for me?" She ran off as the terminator pursued her. She ducked around the corner and waited for Jeremy and Aelita to take the lead.
"Hey, officer, you want us?" Aelita said as the two of them ran off. The terminator pursued both of them. They kneeled down and waited for Ulrich to come in.
"Hey ugly!" Ulrich says as he hits with a pipe. It quickly heals before it pursues him. He gets over an intersection and when the terminator arrives, Yumi sweeps his feet.
"Come after me if you want a real challenge" Yumi says as she runs off. The terminator goes after her. She comes to a pass and ducks. The terminator turns and sees Erina again.
"Surprise!" She ducks and reveals Erin aiming directly at him. He fires a bullet and hits him. He stumbles backwards and then falls into the melting pot. All of them look as they see him melt into nothing.
"He ain't coming back from that" Erin says.
"But now what?" Ulrich asks.
"We rally Xana" Erina says.
"You think you can convince him?" Aelita asks.
"Hopefully. I don't want to have another Skynet encounter to convince him. And yes, we'll give you the rundown."
