Chapter 9 My Savior
A.N. – So, this chapter features the terminator from T3, the T-X model. If you know this model well, you should know that this model specializes in electronics, which is what Xana is based on. Let's begin!
Short Summary – With all of the Lyoko Warriors united, the next step is getting Xana to help them. But with the arrival of the new terminator, its goal is not to kill them, but kill Xana.

Skynet has been missing for a few hours since the report of the destroyed T-1000 model in the past. John was wondering what it was planning next and finally it came back. John at this time was wasting away. He didn't know how long he would have to live.
"Poor John. Slowly dying. Guess you'll perish before you see if this distant future ever changes" Skynet tells him.
"Where were you?" John asks.
"Making modifications. I believe you remember the T-X model."
"Your savior"
"And basically the start of human extinction and the one who's gonna win me this war. I'll have it hunt down Xana in the past and eliminate him. With him gone, nothing can stop my takeover." Skynet set the T-X model on the transporter and sent it back in time.
Weeks have passed since the Lyoko Warriors destroyed the nearly indestructible T-1000. They have been planning for weeks on how they were going to convince Xana to help them fight against Skynet. They were convinced that if Skynet was going to send another terminator back this time, it was not going to be enough.
In the city, a man appears from a remote location. It goes to a clothes store and sees a suitable outfit. It smashes the window and grabs clothes before the police arrive. As the police arrive, the terminator changes and heads to it's main objective, to kill Xana.
Everyone was sleeping peacefully at their respectful houses as the twins were still staying with their parents. Jeremy has recently made improvements to the security system at the factory just in case Skynet would try something new. The man was approaching the factory entrance and the cameras picked him up. Jeremy's phone gave off an alert and his phone showed the strange man enter the factory.
"Aelita, wake up!" Jeremy quietly shouted.
"What?" Aelita said half-awake.
"Call the others. Skynet is moving."
"And the twins?"
"Only bring one."
After 15 minutes only Jeremy, Aelita, Ulrich, Odd, and Erin showed up.
"So, what does our killer robot from the future look like this time Einstein?" Odd asks.
"Don't joke about these things Odd. They may be robots, but they sure act like trained killers" Erin tells him.
"The security cameras just showed me a man entering the factory. I have all angles covered just in case Skynet found another way in" Jeremy responds.
They all look down and see a hole in the ground where he jumped and landed. "Well, he certainly isn't subtle in letting us know he's here" Erin says as he loads the shotgun from earlier.
They all slide down and then head down to the factory lab using the elevator shaft.
In the lab, the strange man accesses the supercomputer and activates it. He accesses the files where Xana and anything keeping him alive is. He turns his finger into a needle and prepares to enter a virus into the supercomputer.
"Hey, didn't Skynet teach you it's not polite to point?" Erin says before he blasts the mode sending it flying across the room. "Looks like I have to be the one to teach you some manners."
"Step aside. You know as well as I do, Xana is too dangerous to keep alive" the terminator tells him.
"Skynet ain't a better alternative." Erin blasts him again and sends him into the wall leaving a dent.
The rest descend down and then Jeremy starts to investigate what Skynet is after. "Looks like Skynet isn't after us this time, but Xana" Jeremy concludes.
"It's trying to take out the source" Aelita adds.
"Can you protect him?" Ulrich asks.
"I don't know. His protection and the supercomputer protection are completely different. The only way I can possibly ensure his protection is by hacking him, but as soon as he realizes I'm trying to access him, he'll lock me out."
The terminator stands up and stares down Erin. "I don't want to kill you, but I will if I have to."
"Good, because the only way you're getting to Xana is through me" Erin tells him.
The terminator approached him, and Erin shot at him, but he avoided this one. He grabbed Erin before he could finish reloading and pinned him to a wall. "Now, time for you to die."
"Erin, catch!" Odd says tossing him the shotgun. Erin quickly shoots him in the chest, making him let go and Erin drops gasping as the terminator lands on the floor.
Jeremy quickly works to try and ensure Xana's survival. "There is no way I can do it! Xana's programming is to complex! The only way I can access him is if I can speak to him!"
"You think Xana's gonna let you access his inside programming? He may be an AI, but he's not dumb" Ulrich says.
"Not to mention, he knows nothing of Skynet, so him trusting us is pretty low" Odd adds.
"Question is, ho do we make sure the new model follows us and doesn't go back to his job?" Erin adds as the terminator starts to reboot.
"We got to tie him up and take him out of the factory. Skynet programmed it to attack Xana" Aelita tells them.
Erin loads the shotgun as the terminator stands up. "This time, stay down!" Erin says as he blasts it and it gets disabled. The others tie him up and the throw him off the edge into the river below the factory.
"That should keep him busy once he reboots" Jeremy says.
"Yeah, but now question is how do we convince Xana to let us help him?" Odd asks.
"We have to put our plans into motion."
The four were down in the computer lab setting up a communication window with Xana. When the connection was established, Jeremy typed in the first response.
'I know you don't like us, but right now we need you more than ever. Please respond. -J'
Xana immediately responded. 'Why? I have no interest in helping my enemies. -X'
'Because if you don't, your existence is threatened.'
'Threatened? The only ones threatened here are YOU. You've been trying to destroy me from day one. I am not gonna turn a 180 and trust someone like that.'
"Told you he wasn't gonna be easy" Erin told Jeremy.
"Think he'll believe us about Skynet?" Aelita asks.
"It's worth a try." Jeremy started typing. 'You are not the only AI in existence. One more powerful than you called Skynet is being developed and when it's released you, humanity, and everything will cease to exist.'
At this time the terminator reactivated and swam to the surface as it started to head back to the bridge.
'Skynet? Never heard of it and with me being on the World Wide Web, I know everything.'
"Did John ever say if Skynet was off the public eye?" Jeremy asks Erin.
"The way he says it, it had some big reveal before the extermination began which became Judgement Day" Erin responds.
"So, there's a good possibility no one knows about Skynet except the ones overseeing its development" Ulrich adds.
"So, how do we convince Xana that this is real?" Odd asks.
"Where was Skynet being developed?" Jeremy asks.
"Somewhere in Los Angeles. That might be a place a start" Erin responds.
'Look over any cyber research places in Los Angeles. Maybe you'll find something.'
'I'll give it a look over, but if I find nothing, this conversation is over!'
Xana logged off and they waited while Xana tried to find anything that could give them an edge.
"Hopefully he joins us after the fact" Ulrich says.
"As long Skynet's programming is readable, maybe Judgement Day is embedded within. Until we actually get to Los Angeles, we don't know what we're dealing with" Jeremy adds.
The elevator at this time opened and all of them tuned around to see the terminator back in action.
"Our friend is back" Odd says.
"Skynet isn't wasting time with this one" Erin adds.
The terminator takes a few cables out of the floor and electrocutes them, leaving them slightly conscious. The terminator walks up to the screen and reenters the codes from before. He sticks his finger at the screen and infects Xana's code.
Xana at the time has found information on Skynet. He was about to report back when he felt like he was being deleted. 'Is this the work of this Skynet?' Xana only had a few minutes to live, and Skynet only had a few minutes till a win was guaranteed.
The four were starting to get up and the terminator approached them. Suddenly, a baseball bat hit it from behind and it showed that Erin's sister Erina beat it. She continued to whack it until it stopped moving.
"Stay away from them" Erina said.
"Looks like you guys could use some help" Yumi adds as she also arrived with her.
"Someone help me to the computer," Jeremy asks. Erina helps him up and starts typing. "I go to disable this code before it's too late."
"What's this code doing?" Erina asks.
"From what I see, it's deleting Xana." Xana had lost all virtual strength. If the virus was not stopped, he would eventually fall. "I got it." Jeremy hit enter and Xana regained all his strength.
'I'm saved?' Xana questioned himself. Maybe Skynet is the real threat here.
"We got to get rid of our friend. I got an idea" Jeremy says. "Take it down to the supercomputer room."
Erin wits for the terminator to wake up. It does and then proceeds to kill him. "Now Jeremy" Erin tells him. Jeremy activates a command that allows the supercomputer to be like a magnet and attracts the terminator. Erin points the shotgun to its head. "Your terminated." He pulls the trigger and Jeremy deactivates the magnet. "He ain't coming back." Erin went upstairs to see what Xana discovered on Skynet.
'From what I found, Skynet is still inactive and will be for at least four more months. But the longer it remains in that inactive state, the more its self-awareness grows. The only reason I know of this is because of how my self-awareness was achieved. If what you're saying is true, Skynet will immediately claim humanity as a threat upon its activation.'
"Just like John said" Erina says.
"He told us that once Skynet was released, it saw humanity as a threat and proceeded to eliminate any threats before escaping into cyberspace" Erin adds.
'One more question: why did you save me?'
'Like I told you, we are here to help you. We need you because believe it or not, you are humanity's only key to survival. You have the only means to stop and destroy it as well as prevent a mass extinction and nuclear holocaust known as Judgement Day.'
'Consider it done. You, me, and humanity will defeat Skynet and these terminators.'
'We only have one problem. We need to get to Los Angeles.'
'Give me a few weeks to get a few programs running and then we'll head there.'
"My T-X failed. My T-X!" Skynet slammed its fists.
"I told you. You ain't gonna win this time" John told him.
"If anyone not's gonna survive this encounter, it will be you friend. And the more you provoke me, the more the urge to finish you grows, so don't tempt me!"
John knew that Skynet could easily change the rules. He only hoped that whatever remains of his resistance can save him and hopefully his younger self in the past can lend a hand to the twins in defeating Skynet…for everyone's sake.
