Chapter 10 Double Threat
A.N. – The battle now moves to Los Angeles, but with it comes a new problem. What is it? Only one way to find out.
Short Summary – Xana and the Lyoko Warriors, along with the twins, prepare for departure to Los Angeles to defeat and end Skynet before its release. But Skynet has one last surprise that could jeopardize everything.

Since the failure of the T-X, Skynet has scrapped a few models but kept one for this occasion. This model had the ability to morph into whatever person it wants, as well as a self-healing ability. This new model was known as the T-3000. It was one of Skynet's most powerful models and would prove deadly against all enemies.
"Well John, this model will surely cause problems. Your little revolution in the past is ending" Skynet told him.
"Even if you send a fake, they will detect it" John told him.
"This model though can make the image of anyone down to the T. I guarantee they will not tell the difference." With this, Skynet sends the model back in time.
Weeks have passed since the T-X incident almost ended the plan to destroy Skynet in the past to prevent a future eradication of humanity. Xana at this time has prepared a few modifications to help with everything. He made himself an avatar to use on Earth. He installed a teleport feature to make it to Los Angeles easier. The weeks of research though made the fight against Skynet limited though. They now had three months to stop Skynet. Xana called them all there for a meeting.
With all of them at the factory, Xana was able to appear before them. "Say hello to you friend in a new virtual avatar," Xana told them. To avoid suspicion he gave himself a normal body build, height, and weight as well as black hair. "With this, we can move without suspicion."
"There is still one problem, how are we gonna get halfway across the world?" Erina asks.
"I modified my avatar to allow us to fast travel quickly. Jeremy just has to pick a location and upload to the supercomputer. I will then use this location to get us to Los Angeles quickly."
Jeremy then searched locations and found one that wasn't populated at the time. He then uploaded it and the Xana pinpointed the location.
"Take my hand and hold each other. This will be a quick teleportation."
"After what John sent us through in the future, nothing surprises me" Erin said.
"Only difference is we don't have to strip down for this one" Erina added.
They all formed a circle and Xana focused on the location. A bubble then appeared in the middle and engulfed all of them.
The gang all appeared in Los Angeles at 5A.M., since they left France at 2P.M. Unfortunately for them, Jeremy picked a place that was highly populated during the day.
"At least it is night now" Odd says.
"Stay away from cameras. We don't want to attract the attention of security" Xana told them.
"Can't you turn them off?" Aelita asks.
"Too risky. If I turn them off, security will be dispatched for a possible break in. We got to get out and find somewhere to lie low till we defeat Skynet."
"Stay low and quiet," Erina said as they all crouched and moved as close to the wall as possible. They were moving for twenty minutes before coming to the entrance. "Locked. Of course."
"Is any other way?" Ulrich asks.
"We could try the vents" Xana says.
"We'll end up on the roof" Yumi points out.
"Security room then. We can get keys or at least disable the lockdown on a certain door."
They all moved to where the security room is. They slowly opened the door. Xana moved in. "No murder," Aelita told him. Xana nodded and quietly knocked out the guard. Aelita kneeled down to him. "He's still breathing."
"You told me not to kill him and I didn't. Just put him to sleep" Xana told her.
"Okay, this door is tied to this mechanism. We got five minutes once I disable it" Jeremy tells them.
"Let's get going then" Odd says.
Jeremy presses the button and then they rushed for the door. All of them were able to escape before the lockdown was operational.
"Now what?" Yumi asks.
"We find somewhere to lie low" Xana reminds her.
"Where? All of us are broke?" Erina tells him.
Xana materialized a credit card in his hand. "This is a skeleton credit card that I created. No limit and untraceable." With this, all of them headed to a hotel to lie low until the mission is complete.
At this time, Skynet's T-3000 arrived in Los Angeles. The first form it took was the look Skynet had in the future. But the form it needed was someone close to the warriors, someone like Xana… The terminator then headed to hotels to find where they were hidden.
Everyone else checked in to a normal hotel to avoid suspicion with Xana's no limit credit card. Luckily for them, Xana was telling the truth and the card was accepted. They all got their separate rooms. The twins had one, Jeremy and Aelita had the second, Yumi and Ulrich had the third, and Odd had the fourth. Xana being a virtual AI needed no sleep. This would allow him to find a way to kill Skynet.
At this time, Skynet also arrived in the same hotel. He walked to the clerk desk. "I'm looking for some people. Have you seen anyone of these?" He showed them pictures.
"Yes, all of them actually. They just checked in a few moments ago. Why do you ask?"
"They are friends of mine. They told me to meet them here."
Skynet went to meet up with them. He came to the hallway where they're rooms were located. He saw a strange man standing there. He approached him.
"Who are you?" Xana asked him.
"I was about to ask you the same thing" Skynet replied.
"None of your business."
Skynet then grabbed his wrist. He felt the electrical current running through him. "So, they actually got you to join their side, Xana."
"Skynet. But how?"
"I'm from the future and your appearance will do well." Skynet scanned his avatar and then started to transform into him.
"What did you do?"
"I became you," Skynet said with the same voice as Xana. "But now there is no use for you. I will kill the others and then activate Skynet early as to ensure nothing stands in my way. When that happens, I will find and kill the John of this era so that I become the one true ruler of this world."
"Not gonna happen!" Xana tried to shock him, but he absorbed it.
"My endoskeleton is more advanced. Nothing can hurt me."
"You're a robot! But I'm the only one who has them!"
"I'm a cyborg. A more advanced version of a robot. Your plans though did help my master develop more advanced models which allowed him to fight the human resistance. I will make sure that happens again." Xana tried to punch him, but Skynet grabbed him. "Time to face facts. I'm…better…than…you!" Skynet kneed him and then he uppercut him, knocking him out temporarily. Skynet dragged him to somewhere with a locked door and then locked him away. Skynet then went to confront the warriors and the twins.
Skynet entered the room where the twins were staying. They woke up when they heard the door open.
"What's the problem?" Erina asked it, thinking it was Xana.
"We should start discussing our plan to take out Skynet" Skynet told them.
"This early?" Erin responded, noting it was almost two in the morning.
"Every day we wait, it gets stronger. We should start trying to figure out how to win."
"Listen, I know you're an AI and they don't need sleep, but it doesn't mean you have to keep us up too. We'll discuss it in the morning with the others" Erina told him.
"Fine. I just hope we're not too late."
Skynet walked out and he had both Erin and Erina's body and voice scanned and can now become them.
Morning came around and Xana started to wake up. He went to the door and found it locked.
"Of course it locked me in here. I've got to warn them" Xana said as he tried to bash the door down.
Everyone got up and then moved to one room to discuss their plan for taking down Skynet. Skynet, still as Xana, went to see what they were thinking, or try to divert them into an ambush. Jeremy pulled up the blueprints for the facility.
"Okay, I spent a sleepless night finding these blueprints. I had to hack a restricted site to access it but this will help us with getting rid of Skynet" Jeremy told them.
"Let's hear the plan Einstein" Odd says.
"Well, since Xana is the only one who can defeat Skynet, we need to get him as close as possible to Skynet's core. He'll have less security to go through and if we give him direct access, he'll be able to get to Skynet with no problems. So, in order to do that, we just got to fight our way to the core, but no murder. We're heroes, not killers."
"What if there is no other option? Skynet's security could be heavily armed" Aelita tells him.
"We got to figure out something. We got to convince everybody we did this for the greater good, not to prove something."
Skynet at this time also analyzed everyone else and scanned what voices he could. "So, when does this begin?" Skynet asked them.
"Soon. We've got to find the facility first."
"I've got a better idea. How about you back off?"
Skynet charged Jeremy and then held him by the neck trying to choke him.
"What are you doing? You're on our side now!" Aelita yelled at him.
"I take no sides!"
"Skynet" Erin says.
"But how?" Erina adds.
Erin grabbed a chair and then smashed Skynet over the head with it. He drops Jeremy and then turns to him. The model has a few cuts that immediately heal.
"Automatic regeneration. This is a new model" Erin says.
"Yeah, and you're all gonna die!" Skynet charges him next and Erin holds him back. Erina sweeps his feet and Skynet lands on his back. All of them ran out of the room and then held the door.
"This won't hold it for long" Erina says.
"What model is that?" Aelita asks.
"Don't know. Ever since the liquid metal model, we don't know what we're dealing with" Erin responds.
"Question is, where is Xana?" Ulrich asks.
Suddenly the real Xana came out of a door by breaking it down. "Finally."
"What happened?" Yumi asks.
"Skynet attacked me last night. He now has the ability to transform and mimic any of you."
"Did it mention what model this was?" Erin asks.
"No, but the base of these cyborgs come from my robots in Siberia."
"So, that's where those T-800 models come from" Erina says.
"How do we stop this model?" Aelita says as the terminator comes out and attacks Xana. Since the door was broken, dust blocked their vision, and now they didn't know which one was the real Xana.
"Great, I hate these situations" Erin says.
The two were grappling with each other, with no one making any ground.
"Might as well give up."
"No chance in that."
Erin goes to his room and grabs a sharp object. The two stop and look at him.
"Erin, end him, I'm the real Xana."
"No kill this faker. You'll doom us all."
"Okay, I got a way to settle this. This is a question only the real Xana will know. What was the first thing you attacked us with?"
"Electricity. I was awoken and started to show my strength to anyone who knew of my existence." Erin tosses him the spear and Xana quickly impales the terminator through the chest. "How did you know?"
"Our father doesn't leave out any details" Erina tells him.
"Anyway, we got problems. We got to end this."
"We will…tomorrow" Jeremy says.
"Okay, no more models. I am going to do this myself" Skynet says as he prepares to send itself back in time…
