flashback
during the war Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, The 5 Kage, and the edo tensei's Standing right behind them all facing Madera. insert a long and groling fight scene here. Naruto the last one alive knowing that he is going to die, in just a few minutes no matter what. So he decides to go out with a bang and uses a rasenshuriken on Madera and gits caught in the blast radius of his own attack killing them both. But the moment he released the attack. He enters his mindscape, then completely releases the seal on Kurama freeing him.

Kurama states " We won but at what cost almost all the shinobi are dead, Naruto is dead, Sasuke is dead, Sakura is dead, and all five kage's are dead. How will we continue. What will we do and how will we do it? You guys barely have enough chakra to move around without dissipating! What should we do now?" Gyūki replies "CALM DOWN KURAMA. And that's not the question you should be asking. The question you should ask is 'What should I do now' and my answer is that you should use fathers jutsu". All the others gasp then say" are you Certain!? It may not even work!"Son Goku sighs "I don't really like the idea but I realize it might be our only option to get a better result and hopefully get Naruto back. But before you go take the rest of our chakra with you." Kurama replies "Are you completely sure about that!? Because if you aren't…" Son Goku cuts Kurama off and says "YES ! I am sure about this. " Kurama sighs and says "ok. Got it. " Then the first eight biju levitates a few feet off the ground and shrinks into small basketball sized spheres then flies into Kurama sealing themselves into him. He proceeds to start drawing a complex seal array, over the next few hours, into the ground with his fingernail, which appears to be covered in a dark blueish red chakra. Once he is finished He stands in the middle of the seal, and channels chakra into the seal. The moment he does this an blindingly bright white light is emitted from both the seal and himself. The light lasts hours once the light fades away, there's nothing left. There's no trace of him or the seal anywhere in sight.

17 years and 3 months in the past, on October the 10th day of the Kyūbi attack.
Konohagakure in the middle of the Kyūbi's attack. The Kyūbi is rampaging through the village. There is a almost unnoticeable pattern of a three tomo sharingon in its eyes. The Kyūbi eye's then emitted a, soft white. Once the light fades the pattern is gone replaced by a red slitted eye. Seemingly no one noticed the change. Kurama thought "I need to leave without it being suspicious.but how? I also want to make sure that kit's parents don't die. And that if I am still sealed in him. I will need to be able to contact him easily at any point in time I need. But most importantly of all I need to stop the war! Ugh!!! How am I supposed to do any of that?! This is so annoying!!!…" During kuramas inner monologue he continued to mindlessly rampage through the village. However the end of his thought he was cut off by a shout of "food cart destroyer technic" as soon as he heard that he thought "CRAP" just before a gigantic toad fell from the sky, landing on him.This caused him to let out a long groan of both pain and frustration. Then he vanished in a yellow flash.
Hiruzen POV: Hiruzen Sarutobi the third hokage saw a dim white light emitting from its eyes and the change in them. I noticed it became a little more passive and that it semed to be lost in thought, and that most of the damage it was casing now semed to come from both it flicking it tall around idly, and it blocking attacks with a small detour to cause a little more damage while walking around. I realize that all this put together made a pretty good facade of being on a mindless rampage to the untrained eye. When Minato Namikaze the forth hokage used the "food cart destroyer technic" on the fox I herd a groan from the fox before the forth used the hiraishin to teleport away in a yellow flash.
Minato POV : As I summoned Gamabunta onto the fox I heard it groan coming from the fox. this surprised me for a moment but I put my surprise in a mental box for later. Then i used my hiraishin to teleport away to the sealing site. About half a second later the fox did something that surprised me, it spoke! My mind was racing a mile a minute his words were lost to me. Luckily before I could go too far into my mental tangent, he cut me off and yelled "HEY ARE YOU LISTENING OR IS YOUR MIND JUST SLOW"being the fastest man alive I am not used to being called slow. So I gave him a annoyed look, although I was more amused than anything.he then smirked, and sarcastically said "ha. ha. ha. "
general POV : Kurama then dropped his smirk and, spoke "All joking aside git your wife here and put a privacy barrier up, NOW. I have very important information to tell you. And I want this information to remain a secret."
20 minutes later
In the sealing area away from unwanted onlookers, with a light blue barrier, in the shape of a dome, around them that emits a glow of chakra. It is a barrier produced by the fourths seals, and it serves as both a privacy barrier and a physical barrier. Standing in front of Kurama is Minato, Kushina, with Naruto in Kushina's arms all looking at a Kurama who is the size of a normal fox.
(A.N. All nine beju learned to shrink to any size larger than a normal dog after the war.)
After Kurama had explained everything to them. Thay had asked a lot of questions Kurama answered them to the best of his abilities then slowly Minato and Kushina starting to fade out of existence. Minato seeing this understood what was happening and told Kurama that by saving the lives of him and his wife he changed the timeline to much. the timeline is trying to undo the change . It is doing this by destroying their bodies. Kurama then tells them to seal their entire mind body, and soul into Naruto along with himself, and send a flair Jutsu into the sky to call for help. Minato also using a small earth compressed a sheet of dirt into a sheet of rock, and inscribed a letter to that rock. A letter that Minato knew the would very quickly be destroyed after the third read it.
