risk encountered Snowdrake who, after a couple of bad puns and its first "attentive" audience, decided it should be spared at last. Chara was facepalming so hard she left a distinct palm mark, while Frisk was still laughing hard as he rolled in the snow. The little monarch puffed her cheeks and kicked snow on her companion, who was frozen in place by the sheer amount of puff that was on him.

"Did you cool off now, Child?"

"Chara, that's rude! I was having a good time right now ~" Frisk whining a bit made Chara flustered somehow, she found that so cute she kept grinning - in a saner way than usual. Retaliation came sooner than expected when the kid threw a snowball at the still-flustered Chara.

"Did you cool off, my lady?"

"Friiiiisssk ~" Eyes glowing redder than her cheeks, Chara readied some snowballs and started throwing them at the poor Child. He dodged as if his very SOUL was going to get hurt, putting into practice the Ruins' fight experience. That was nearly not enough though, as he got hit by a barrage of snowballs after Chara sped up, fueled with the Determination to pay back.

Char- stop! Please, you literally made a snowman out of me right now ~"

"Happy now? I told you not to mess with me." The Fallen laughed at her recent creation but quickly salvaged the child to not have to nurse them a third time - that would make them feel bad. She went for an apologetic hug and stayed so to keep them warm.

"Chara, you ... alright?" Frisk never saw Chara that way, and blushed a bit but returned the hug because he was cold mostly. She held Frisk tighter as soon as he returned the hug, and that made him worry more.

"I am sorry, Child, I guess I am as bad as Mother when it comes to payback." Chara kept the embrace a bit longer while apologizing to Frisk. He feared she recalled the two resets, and could not find a proper way to ease her mind. Their SOULs glowed red yet again, and Frisk felt a memory going through his mind. He thus brushed Chara's short brown hair, much to her surprise.

"Child, what are you -?"

"I am okay, Chara, you did not hurt me, it was fun doing that too."

"... Thank you, Frisk."

They went on holding hands after they parted bodies and SOULs, a road surged up so they followed it out of curiosity. Frisk noticed a fishing rod and thought he could pull it out in hopes of finding a fish. It was for naught, of course, as the only thing hanging out of the line was a piece of paper with a phone number in it. Chara giggled:

" Sorry, Frisk, seems someone had thrown a pick-up line for you."

Frisk brought his usual poker face he is disappointed or annoyed, brought the line back, and just wanted to go back the road. Chara followed, still giggling at her friend's misadventure. They met sans yet again on the crossroad, who looked at both children and grinned at them the best he could.

"ehehe, love birds eh? aren't ya a little too young for dat, kiddo?"

"Sans, what's ... love birds?" Frisk hid his face out of sheer embarrassment. He knew what he meant, he just thought he would never find that in the Underground of all places.

"um, that's you holding hands with Tori's daughter and being snuggly ... like me and my clothes right now."

"Bonehead knows mother, great ... Don't you dare say that to her, she will keep on fantasizing as she did at dinner last time. Frisk please, don't be shy, we're probably ... friends in the cold for now." Chara still blushed after she recalled all the fluff they exchanged up to now, contradicting her statement somehow.

"that's cute, but ain't go no time to do couple counseling so ... kiddo, y'know paps have a special attack?"

"Huh? Um ... no, Do you know anything about it Chara?"

"Blue attacks, but Lazy Bones here can tell you more about that."

"yep, blue. Those force you to stay still, like freezing in place. See stop signs? Then picture blue stop signs whenever you see a blue attack coming."

"Thanks sans, although I don't want to fight your brother, he looks cool."

yep, and I appreciate you both being easy on him and letting him feel better, he's been in the blue these days. especially you grumpy."

"Who do you think is Grump-" Frisk held on to Chara, as in telling her to let him talk on their behalf.

"Chara is not grumpy, she got a temper for sure, and is a bit mean, but she helped me stay alive this long and she is very nice to me, and she can change, sans."

sans grinned for a second at the child who was defending the Fallen. He opened his eyesocket for a second, it glowed orange than blue and flashed to freeze time again.

"you up to some dirty scheme, demon?"

Chara paused, brought her red pupils to fixate on the skeleton then showed a very genuine grin, with a single tear down their cheeks. She then hid her face and spoke coldly

"That child does me good, Bonehead. I think I'll quit killing spree this time, and that's all you need to know."

sans shivered, he already fought and possessed Chara countless times - even though she always failed to acquire the SOULs. Seeing her behave that way felt weird, leaving him to ponder for a second.

"i'll keep an eyesocket on you, kids. feels weird to see you care for someone, but uh ... i'll cut you some slack for now. remember tho, am always here to clean up your mess."

"And I would love to swing my knife at you Sansy but, I like this kid too so ..." Chara froze at her saying she liked Frisk. Her head processed that thought to no avail, and sans laughing hard was the only thing that woke her up. He unfroze time and bided farewell to both children, signaling that PAPYRUS was up ahead.:laugh~1:
