Dennis opened his eyes slowly. Everything was so blurry that he couldn't make out who was there and where he was. All Dennis saw was a yellow smudge standing in front of him. When his vision cleared he saw who it was. It was Roy. His father. When Dennis saw Roy he sat up in excitement. Dennis looked around and then realized it was his old room. Dennis loved this room so much. Dennis then put his attention to Roy. (AN: ROY: BOLD DENNIS/YELLOW GUY: NORMAL.) "Dad!" Dennis shouted in a happy tone. Roy looked at the small boy with a scolding glare. Roy never really spoke to Dennis but if he did he would tell him to stop running around in his room or go grab the mail. But other than that he was mostly quiet. Roy usually "spoke" with heavy breathing or growls. Dennis never understood why. Dennis never really understood anything, to be honest. He didn't understand why he was suddenly in his room. "Hey, dad. Why did you bring me here?" Dennis asked in a quiet voice. Roy looked at the child before turning away from him. Was it because he missed him or was it because he wants to rebuild their relationship with each other? Dennis thought of a lot of reasons why Roy would decide to take him. Every reason Dennis thought was never the real reason. "The other day Harry called me and asked me where I was.
Flashback
The day was normal like any other. A teacher came and left. Dennis was chasing Robin with a water gun and Harry was watching TV. "Tell him to stop shooting that stupid thing at me! Why would Roy buy you such a thing?" Robin yelled at Harry while trying to push the water out of his face. That's when Harry realized something. He hadn't seen Roy since he pulled the plug out of the machine that was controlling the previous teachers. So he got up and walked over to the phone and dialed Roy's number. "Hello?" Roy answered. "Hey, Roy! I was just wondering where you've been." Harry said. "I've been very busy," Roy said. "What have you been busy with?" Harry asked. "Important things," Roy said. Dennis overheard the conversation between Harry and Roy over the phone. Dennis dashed over to Harry. "Is that dad on the phone? Can I talk to him?" Dennis asked Harry jumping up and down. "Hold on Roy your son wants to talk to you," Harry told Roy and handed Dennis the phone. "Hi, dad!" Dennis yelled with excitement. "Hello, Dennis..." Roy said in a low and cold tone. "Dad guess what!" Dennis said. "What?" "I love you!" Dennis said. "I hope you come to visit me sometime," Dennis said. Roy stayed silent for a moment. "I hope that day never comes. I don't want anything to do with you. I hate you. I want you gone and out of my life." Roy told the small boy over the phone. Dennis' eyes filled with tears and ran away leaving the phone hanging. Harry and Robin watched as Dennis ran to his room. They both looked at each other in concern. Robin marched over to the phone and picked it up. "What did you say to him?" Robin asked. Roy didn't respond. "What did you say to him!" Robin said sounding angry. "I only said what was true," Roy said. "Well let me tell you one thing, Roy. Every day when we were on your show that child would always have some sort of mark on his face, arms, and legs. I don't understand why Dennis sees you as a father, but he should see you as a filthy creature. Not only have you physically abused Dennis but verbally and mentally. That child thinks you are his friend. And every time he would mess up a line you would always yell hurtful things at him. Roy if you don't get your ignorant behavior together Harry and I are adopting Dennis." Robin said, Roy, sat in silence for a few minutes. "Fine. I'll try to be a better father
To Dennis." Roy said. "I'm glad I'm able to help you see the errors in your parenting Roy. I'll call you to check up on your progress," Robin said. Roy hung up the phone. "You want me to be a good father? I'll show you a good father." Roy said.
"Wait so you only wanted to prove you're a good dad to me?" Dennis asked. Roy nodded. Dennis's eyes lit up. Roy looked over at him. "Go downstairs and go watch some TV," Roy said. "Okay!" Dennis shouted. Dennis hopped off the bed and ran downstairs. Heh, everything is going just as planned. Roy thought. Maybe Roy isn't trying to be a good father to Dennis. Maybe he's trying to do something else.
