"Will I ever see you again?"
"I believe our paths will cross once more, yes."
"Goodbye..."
"We will reunite someday...my dearest friend."
Izuku Midoriya slowly opened his eyes and rose up from his bed. There it was, that dream again. A memory he had held onto from his childhood. A girl his age with beautiful blue hair yet an emotionless face. A girl who was his most treasured friend.
"Where are you now?" Was all he could ponder, every time he remembered her.
"Izuku, it's almost time!" Came the voice of his mother, Inko. Smiling, Izuku dressed up and headed downstairs to see everything set up for him. His gear, belongings, and valuable tools were ready to be taken to his next destination.
"This is a pretty big step for you, Izuku. Your father attended the Officer's Academy when he was your age and I'm sure you'll do just as well." The plump but pretty woman said to her son. "I'm sure he'd be proud of the man you've grown into."
Izuku smiled and kissed his mother on the forehead before heading out the door, waving her goodbye as he made his way to a carriage awaiting him, manned by a merchant girl named Anna.
"Ah, Izuku, ready for your trip to Garreg Mach Monastery?"
Izuku smiled at his family's most trusted merchant. "You bet, Anna! It's always been my dream to attend the academy my father attended!"
Getting in the carriage, Izuku and Anna rode off the dirt path.
Garreg Mach Monastery, the headquarters of the Church of Seiros, the acting religious council of the land of Fodlan, the land that Izuku called home.
Izuku and his mother lived in the Adrestian Empire, one of the three ruling powers of Fodlan alongside the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus and the Leicester Alliance.
Fódlan's recorded history begins 41 years before the founding of the Adrestian Empire, with the appearance of the enigmatic Saint Seiros in the Enbarr region. Seiros performed miracles that inspired the people, and the Church of Seiros was founded to venerate her.
According to Imperial records, the Adrestian Empire was founded in Imperial Year 1 by Great Emperor Wilhelm I, with Enbarr chosen as its capital due to the presence of Seiros. In Imperial Year 32, Wilhelm I launched the War of Heroes with the goal of conquering all of Fódlan for the Empire. Nemesis, the King of Liberation, united the Empire's opponents under his leadership. Seiros finally slew Nemesis at the Battle of Tailtean in Imperial Year 91, but the war did not end until 98, when Wilhelm I's successor, Lycaon I, succumbed to illness.
However the Adrestian Empire wouldn't remain dominant in Fodlan for long as in Imperial Year 751, the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus seceded from the Empire after winning the War of the Eagle and Lion. The Church crowned Faerghus's first king, Loog of House Blaiddyd, and granted his nation autonomy. In 801, the region of Leicester rebelled against the Empire, and the Kingdom took the opportunity to occupy the region.
In 861, the death of King Klaus I led his three sons to partition the Kingdom into three parts, with each of them ruling a part as an archduke. The death of the archduke of Leicester in 881 gave the Leicester lords the chance to form an alliance rather than accept his heir, sparking the Crescent Moon War. In 901, the war ended with the founding of the Leicester Alliance under the leadership of the influential Duke of Riegan.
The constant threat of foreign invasion from countries beyond Fódlan eventually forced the three powers to band together under the Church. As of 1180, the Church continues to exert its influence to maintain peace and harmony within the continent.
Izuku was taken out of his musings when he felt the carriage stop.
"Alright, here we are! Garreg Mach Monastery!"
Izuku looked to see the monastery now within walking distance. The freckled boy had to admit, it was much larger than he had initially imagined it to be.
"Whoa..."
"Yeah, it sure is something. That monastery has been around for 999 years now!" Anna proudly said with her hands on her hips. "Well, come on, let's get going!"
The two made their way to the gates, which opened upon their arrival. A man in heavy pristine white armor who appeared to be one of the knights loyal to the Church of Seiros approached the two.
"Are you the latest student enrolling here?" The knight asked gruffly as Izuku nodded.
"Y-Yes, sir."
"Come with me. Lady Rhea would like to have an audience with you beforehand."
"Good luck, Izuku!" Anna waved her friend off. "I'll be setting up shop in the square! A merchant needs to make her wares somehow, after all!"
Izuku smiled and waved back as he followed the Knight of Seiros to the audience chamber. As they made their way through the monastery first, Izuku took in all the sights around him. There were students heading on to their classes, monks and soldiers making their rounds, and a majestic eagle soaring by through the crisp morning air.
Soon, they had made it to the audience chamber, Izuku took a deep breath as he walked through the large double doors, the knight standing by and having him go by himself as he saw a single person in the room.
She was a woman of exceptional beauty with light green hair, white robes, and a decorative headdress. When she took notice of Izuku, she smiled and turned around to greet him, a motherly aura seeming to radiate off of her.
Izuku gathered enough confidence to introduce himself.
"Hello Lady Rhea, I am Izuku Midoriya." Izuku before bowing respectfully.
"Rise Izuku, I must say it is a pleasure to meet the son of Hisashi Midoriya. Look how much you've grown." Rhea said with a warm smile.
"You knew my father?" Izuku asked.
"Yes I did, in fact, your father created many impressive works for the Church," Rhea said. "Now let's move on to more pressing matters. You wish to enroll in the Officer's Academy?"
"Yes Lady Rhea, I would like to follow in my father's footsteps," Izuku said bashfully.
"Hisashi would have been proud of you," Rhea said smiling. "Now I shall enroll you into the Officer's Academy but you will need to join a house. You're from the Adrestian Empire so you will be placed in the Black Eagles House."
"Okay, thank you for your time, Lady Rhea," Izuku said.
"It was nothing Izuku, I look forward to your success," Rhea said.
A green-haired man entered the room. Rhea quickly noticed him.
"You have arrived in time," Rhea said. "Izuku, this is Seteth, he shall be your guide."
"Nice to meet you, sir," Izuku mumbled, feeling intimidated by the man's presence.
"You can just call me Seteth. There is no need to address me by any formal titles.." Seteth said. "Now allow me to show you around."
Izuku finished setting everything up in his room, feeling a sense of homeliness already from it. Taking a look in the mirror, he saw the Officer's Academy uniform he now wore, which was a hand-me-down from his father in case Izuku ever chose to attend the academy.
"Dad...I hope you're watching over me."
Ready to face the challenge ahead, Izuku soon decided to make his way to the Black Eagle Main House, hoping to meet his new classmates...and then tripped over his own two feet.
"THIS IS IT!"
However, before his face could hit the dirt, he was suddenly caught by the arm by a firm yet gentle hand. Slowly righting himself up, Izuku dusted himself off before turning around to thank whoever had helped him.
"Thanks, I-"
He was cut off by the sight of a truly beautiful girl. Her ivory hair and lavender eyes were quite catching and her black uniform with red sleeves and pants clearly indicated what house she was in.
"It's quite alright. I couldn't just let a student fall over their own feet like that. It wouldn't exactly do well if somebody fell on their first day."
Izuku was lost in the girl's eyes, much to her confusion as she tilted her head.
"Um, are you alright?"
Izuku snapped out of his trance and flushed in embarrassment, shaking his head and clapping his cheeks.
"A-Ah! I'm so sorry! I-I-I've just never met another girl before...except for my Mom...and Anna...and someone I knew when I was a little kid."
"I see...say, are you Izuku Midoriya, the one who just recently enrolled here at the Officer's Academy?"
Izuku nodded. "Y-Yeah, I'm in the Black Eagle House. You?"
"I am Edelgard von Hresvelg, crown heir of the Adrestian Empire and leader of said house. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Izuku was floored for a second time. Here he was, the son of a humble blacksmith and baker woman, meeting the soon-to-be crowned empress of the Adrestian Empire. Was the Goddess deciding to just come down from the heavens and kiss him with fortune?
"Lady Edelgard, who is this you're talking to?"
Izuku looked to see a tall, pale-skinned young man with ebony black hair and sharp eyes looking at him skeptically. Despite his intimidating posture, Izuku straightened himself out and bowed.
"I-I'm Izuku Midoriya! I-I'm just a humble Commoner who found himself in the Black Eagle House as part of the Officer's Academy! M-My dad was a blacksmith, one of the best in the trade!"
The man nodded. "I see...Hisashi Midoriya...his wares were undoubted without equal. Some even say they were enchanted by the Goddess herself with divine magic."
"Y-yeah, my dad always did have a way with making unique weapons..." Izuku bashfully said.
"Still, despite him not coming from noble blood, he was a truly talented and acclaimed smith," Edelgard noted. "It seems you wish to follow in his footsteps?"
"Well, actually, I want to be a Knight. I want to protect people, it's always been something I've wanted to do." Izuku admitted.
Edelgard smiled. "A truly noble goal. Come along, let's introduce you to the rest of your classmates."
Izuku followed Edelgard and her companion to the Black Eagles Dorms, where he saw his new housemates awaiting him.
"Whoa." Izuku thought as he gazed upon the others.
"Everyone, allow me to introduce our newest member, Izuku Midoriya," Edelgard announced.
Izuku got nervous as everyone's eyes turned to him. Straightening himself out, he bowed his head as formally as he could.
"I-I am Izuku Midoriya, nice to meet you all!"
An androgynous-looking green-haired boy stepped forward to meet Izuku.
"Well met! I am Linhardt von Hevring, heir to House Hevring." He said before shaking Izuku's hand.
A teal-haired boy followed Leinhardt.
"My name's Caspar von Bergliez. Pleased to meet'cha, Izuku!"
A beautiful brown-haired girl went next.
"You can call me Dorothea Arnault." She said smiling. "Also, are you a commoner as well?"
"Y-Yes, I am." Izuku replied bashfully, trying not to stutter at how gorgeous she was.
"Fantastic!" Dorothea beamed. "It was getting lonely being the only student of commoner origin here!"
A purple-haired girl followed Dorothea.
"I am Petra Macneary and I am the Princess of Brigid, forgive me if I am not...sorry if I don't speak the language well."
Izuku nodded. "I understand."
Izuku then spotted a petite girl with short lavender hair. She noticed him watching her and swiftly hid behind Dorothea.
"Is she scared of me?" Izuku thought out loud.
"Apologies Izuku, Bernadetta is very shy and fears attention," Edelgard said.
"Give her some time and she might be comfortable approaching you," Dorothea explained.
A ginger-haired young man dressed in a prim and proper fashion stepped up.
"I am Ferdinand Von Aegir, son of Duke Aegir, the Prime Minister of the Adrestian Empire!" He announced pompously.
"P-pleased to meet you," Izuku replied, astonished. First, he meets the heir to the Empire and now he has met the son of the Adrestian Prime Minister!
"As a member of the Black Eagles, I expect great things from you Midoriya. Please don't disappoint me." Ferdinand said curtly before walking away.
Izuku frantically nodded. "I promise I'll live up to your expectations!"
"I would suggest not to let Ferdinand pressure you." Edelgard's companion said before clearing his throat. "In my haste, I had forgotten to introduce myself to you earlier Izuku. I am Hubert von Vestra, Lady Edelgard's consort."
"All is forgiven Hubert, now I ask my Black Eagles to take Izuku under your wing," Edelgard said.
"Yes, Lady Edelgard!" They replied earnestly.
Izuku honestly felt excited now. He had gotten to know his classmates, met the future Adrestian Emperor, and was attending the academy his father once went to many years ago.
The green-haired, freckled young man didn't know that his destiny would soon be far greater than he had ever imagined...and it would begin with what was originally thought to be just an ordinary trip through the forest.
Devil Dragon Stand Knight A/N:
Yup, this is a My Hero Academia/Fire Emblem: Three Houses crossover based on the BNHA Fantasy AU. Izuku is probably gonna be the only BNHA character in this fic but who knows, one or two more might appear.
This idea came to me since both Dragon King and I are fans of Three Houses and BNHA and wanted to see a crossover made of it. Also, just a heads-up, this is gonna be an Izuku x Harem story, meaning he's getting all the girls...except Lysithea because she and Cyril are too cute together and Rhea, because we have plans for her relationship with Izuku that doesn't involve romance.
Also, there will be a few characters who will appear in this fic that aren't from either BNHA or Three Houses. Some will be major characters and others will be surprise cameos. Other than that, we hope you all enjoy it!
Dragon King, take it away!
Dragon King of the West A/N:
What's up people! Dragon King of the West here! I am excited to work on this story as I read some good Fire Emblem stories in the past. I hope that we can meet the expectations of MHA and Fire Emblem fans. Until next time, that's all folks!
