Sandy made her way to her first class and laid out her needed accessory before an obviously older male student made his way into the class and sat on the opposite side of the table she occupied. She'd never seen him before. He looked very reclusive despite his tall stature, and striking black fur and quills. His red highlights, and eyes, drew her in, despite trying to mind her own business. He glances at her for a moment before the two locked eyes before both then looking away quickly.

"Weirdo." She thought noticing she was in a junior class and he likely should be a senior, if not older.

About ten minutes later the rest of the class, and teacher, came in. Sandy, as always, was focused on the teacher, but couldn't help but glance back to the new male student across from her. They would off and on catch the others peering eyes before both looking away again as if they'd just unintentionally looked directly into the sun. She didn't think much of it until he was also a part of her next class. The two looked at each other more than a few times, as she found her body becoming somewhat interested by his continued visual focus on her. Despite the fact she was also guilty of the same thing.

"Calm down!" She demanded of herself in her head. "He's no one... just another creep. He was probably starring at everyone else in class too." She tried to tell herself as she picked up her books and made her way to her gym class.

Sandy was one of many female squirrel dressing down for the third period physical education class. She greeted a few of the girls while they were on their way out to the gym, but mostly kept to herself as her mind raced over the check list for the remainder of her classes for that day. That was until her eyes crossed his path and snapped her out of her methodical focus. "No way." She muttered as she saw the tall hedgehog in gym attire leaning against a wall in the corner by himself. "Ain't no way he can be in a sophomore class too. He's gotta be nearly an adult unless he's some kinda mutant." Sandy thought to herself now turning abruptly only to run into one of the rudest individuals she knew.

"Watch out ya loser." Randy, her brother, taunted with his small entourage of friends behind him. Her male sibling playful pushed her and then seemed to pick up on her troubled mood after she didn't tease him back. "What's da matter?" Her twin asked still in a light hearted matter. "Didn't get an overload of homework yet?"

"That's ok, Sandy." Ronny a gray furred squirrel, that Sandy had decided to avoid at all cost the year before, jumped in the conversation. "You can have all mine." The Young man grinned at her in a way that continued to make her skin crawl.

"Mine too!" Rex, a large mixed color Pitbull, spoke up likely in hopes the proposition was really on the table and not catching on that it was only a joke. He'd always been a little slow, and very large. Yet despite the fact Rex was far larger than the squirrels, he ran around with, he still came off as a dwarf next to new student that, likely by no fault of his own, seemed to be shadowing Sandy in now nearly half her classes.

"Did ya all get a load outta the not so jolly, spike headed, giant?" Ben asked after running up to join his friends. Ben's black fur shined under the gym's bright lights. His blue eyes seemed unreal in contrast to his dark fur coat. He was likely the far less annoying in their little group for the trail park they all called home. It seemed the only player missing was Tray, who was a fairly short brown squirrel, and despite being far too mouthy was at least intelligent about it.

"Yeah. I saw him and Rex measuring dicks in the locker room. Guess we're gonna have to call you tiny from now on bud." Ron laughed at the lone canine of the group causing the dog to become obviously upset.

"I ain't tiny, asshole!" The dog almost literally barked.

"Why don't ya go give him a big hug and measure up ta him again?" Ben continued to tease. "Then ya two could kiss all proper like. Fag!"

Sandy started to walk away in an attempt to get away from the boys, but, as always, they followed right behind her. The four males kept up being the loudest group in the gym getting many smirks and nods of disapproval from the other groups. The female squirrel was far beyond the point of letting the boys embarrass her, but did find a boiling anger inside herself at everyone looking at in their direction and judging them negatively. As she was aware that the leers were far more about being some of the lowest class individuals in the school, and less about the males empty headed roughhousing.

Sandy noticed the hedgehog glace at her again only now he looked on a little longer and his expression was now one of surprise and questioning. She was bold enough to roll her eyes as the boys around her continued to quarrel and shrugged and was shocked to get a small smile out of the towering male before he looked away again.

A shrill whistle rang out getting all the youths attention, as the two PE teachers walked into the gym. They were a married squirrel couple likely in their fifties that obviously spent far too much time working out. Everyone fell in line, as they did the year before, even Randy and company. The new student seemed to follow suit by watching the other's quick reaction to the teachers unspoken command.

"Boys on the south side, and girls on the north!" The male teacher screamed out. "Let's get you lot limbered up and then get to some real work!" He shouted as the female teacher, the male's spouse, pointed to reinforce his demands.

Sandy and the new boy locked eyes again while walking past one another, only this time she was the one smirking getting an almost amused look out of him. She had no idea where this starring contest was going, but at least now she was having on odd kind of fun with it.
