Third POV
Everyone is working like it's just any other day, which it is to them. Aaron Hotchner, the chief of the BAU agents, stands up, catching the others' attentions.
"Where are you going?" Derek Morgan asks as Aaron walks towards the glass doors of the office.
"Yeah, lunch isn't until 11:30," Spencer Reid adds curiously. Elle Greenaway looks up from her cubicle to stare at Aaron who clears his throat.
"Okay, I may have forgotten to tell you, but we are getting..another new member! Isn't that exciting?" Aaron asks the small group of three with a smile on his face, trying to amp up the group's excitement level. Everyone's eyes go wide. He never keeps a secret this long unless it's really important. What is so important about this new member that he was able to keep such a secret for so long?
"Uh, yeah," Spencer Reid says before looking down and continuing with his work. No matter how much he wants to, he knows that asking him right away wouldn't get an answer out of Aaron. Derek and Elle soon follow in his footsteps, continuing with their paperwork. Aaron internally sighs once their eyes are off him. If only they knew. Aaron passes Penelope Garcia's office before continuing on his way to the front. It's quite busy today, and he wonders why. He was never informed of anything happening today. A girl sits on a navy blue waiting room chair, her right leg going up and down with nervousness. Saying the girl is beautiful is an understatement. With her porcelain skin, pale blue doe eyes, and auburn highlighted long loosely curly brown hair in an easy half updo, she surpasses the average beauty standard by at least ten percent. She looks up at Aaron and immediately lets a relieved smile make its way onto her lips. Aaron returns the smile, going up to the girl and holding his hand out before remembering something and putting it away.
"Welcome to the team, Angeline. Follow me and I'll show you your cubicle where you will work on paperwork when we're not on the scene," Aaron says, waving the girl over to him. She collects her black, orange, and purple faded purse and stands up, dusting off the back of her pants. She wears a light purple oversized sweater tucked into black pants, and black heeled boots as well as a pumpkin necklace. She seems to be very into Halloween. Aaron begins to walk followed by Angeline. The two walk into the office. Penelope looks up from her desk and immediately gawks at the new woman passing by her office. Everybody looks up at Aaron as he walks back into the room followed by a gorgeous girl. Spencer immediately grows nervous in her presence and doesn't understand why. What could be making him so nervous? Spencer notices that he's staring and gives Angeline a small smile, which she returns gratefully. Maybe this place isn't so bad.
