Imagine a different world, one where America never became a Democracy rather an Empire that spans over North America. A world where the Soviet Union doesn't exist, but a Federal Union created and ruled by France. What if Operation Downfall happened. A North and South Japan. What if Lelouch is an orphan who is an arms dealer. What if Suzaku was a former veteran now turned detective.

3. The Federal Union of Eurasia

After Napoleon fled France, it was all but in ruins. Not even 5 years and the Bourbon's were once again were ousted from their power.

France was too unstable to united, with many of the provinces now wishing to leave the French state. So to maintain the nation of France, the revolutionaries and insurgents all gathered to make an agreement to create a confederation. So on October 16th 1818 the French Confederation or the Confederation of France was born.

The confederation had maintained itself for a long period of time, which shocked all of Europe thinking that they would have fallen into chaos by now, instead they grew stronger and more united. Within 50 years time, the confederation once again made France the power it once was in the past, But because of the French not interfering eith anything outside it's borders, the German Empire was born much more quickly.

The growing power of Germany was at an unprecedented rate, the French government feared they will be the dominant power in all of Europe. So to prevent this, an alliance was formed between the Confederation and Russia. Russia was also worried about the rising power of Germany, they might have had the most territory than the Germans, but most of that was barren. While the second Reich was industrialized and had a more modernized military.

Then came the Berlin conference, France didn't get the territories it so wanted, but it was doable. most of north-western Africa was there's now with the few exceptions being Morocco and the Gold coast. The Reich had gotten all of Central Africa as the British had supported the Germans on their taking. It wasn't what they had expected to get, but it was better than nothing to the Italians; Somalia, Eritrea and Libya, were better than what they had expected.

Years pass and it was 1915, the division of Africa was completed. It was also around this time, that Arch-Duke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. The Austrian Duke, accused the Serb Kingdom of the assassination, they of course denied this, as they had no connection whatsoever to this.

The Austrians sent an ultimatum to the Serbs, of course the Serbs refused as the demands were outrageous. The Russians guaranteed Serbian independence, so the Serbs were safe for now, until the Germans to protect their German comrades. But without warning, Austrian soldiers began moving into Serbia, which made the Russians declare war on Austria, which then made the Central powers to join the war and soon France joined to aid the Russians and later the British joined the Central powers. This then started, the Catastrophe War.

This war was one where nearly half of the population in all of Europe was cut to a half. The West front became more successful for the French as they had assistance from the Italian and Spanish Kingdoms, while on the east, the Russian empire had lost many of it's territory to the Germans, resulting in the Russian revolution. The Romanov's were overthrown and replaced with a Republican government. Though some parts of central asia declared independence from the Empire during the Revolution.

By November of 1921, the Catastrophe war had ended with a French victory after the invasion of Britain. The British isles were completely under the French after years of wars between the two nations.

The reconstruction efforts throughout Europe was extensive as the damage left by the war still linger on even after a century. To resolve the rebuilding of Europe, the French Confederation decided to enact Paris Treaty, creating the Federal Union of Europe, later becoming the Federal Union of Eurasia. The treaty was accepted by every European nation as they were desperate to rebuild their economies, thus was the born FUE. While the rest of Europe decolonised, France maintained its west African territories, except for the west coast.

24 years later, Europe was steadily recovering from the catastrophe war, Russia was the one with the most success, as they had fully rebuilt themselves and created well sufficient industrial powerhouse in all of Europe. The men of Russia were now all factory workers or businessmen instead of Soldiers or Commanders.

The same cannot be said for Germany, their economy is recovering yes, and are the engineers of the Federal Union, there was still civil unrest in the country. Citizens all across Germany were still furious of the unfair Treaty of Versailles. Countless Germans were mad at their government for submitting to the French, they felt betrayed as if the Germans have now fallen from grace.

The rage and Fury of the German people gave rise to, Hanz Hitler. A German politician who rised to power through his captivating speeches and his book, Mein bestrben. With his rise into power German nationalism was at an all time high, as the affects of Hanz Hitler had inspired other states, Such as Spain, Hungary, Bulgaria, Netherlands and Sweden.

This then caused many protests and riots for independence throughout these countries, then on 1936, the European Civil War began. It happened after the local militias stationed near Berlin started a coup against the government, they were all supporters of Hitler. They declared their independence, followed soon by Spain, Sweden, Bulgaria, Netherlands and finally Hungary.

The European civil war, was w repeat of the catastrophe war, as many where killed, disease and famine spread as time went on, the National Liberation Front as they called themselves were found to be supported by the Imperial Order of Japan. The Germans had made connections with the Shogun of Japan so they could have support from a nation with similar ideals to them.

When the European civil war ended, the Federal Union found out the Japanese had supported the NLF and joined the war with the American Empire to take revenge.

After all that the Federal Union of Eurasia, began being a major superpower throughout the world, as peace was made after the Pacific war.

But this peace was not long as the Reunification war began in Japan. Tge North declared war and soon the American empire had also joined in on the war, on the South side. After the ceasefire, the two giants began a cold war, as both sides feared each other.

Years pass, and the Eurasian economy is thriving with big industries such as Sultan Arms corporation, TH Brothers and VY conglomerate, all taking the lead.

Like the American Empire, Cyborn's were being sold throughout the world, including the Federal Union as they were a more cheaper labour force. But, the awakening happened and all Cyborn's in the Federal Union gained sentience. Like the rest of the world, Eurasia didn't allow any rights to Cyborn's as they were just seen as machines that can easily be destroyed.

And on 2060, after the Cyborn's in America started to revolt soon the ones in Eurasia began to as well. As again on 2065 the revolution ended in Mumbai. The Union is still recovering from the revolution.

On the year 2070, they still stood still as the second global superpower, as the position is what solidifies their presence through l the world, as it was Europe that influenced the modern world, it was they who created the world system. Unlike the American Empire, they fight for survival.
