A Dragon and a Shinobi Chapter 1

Naoto's POV

It was Saturday and I was waiting and double-checking my phone hoping Issei wouldn't be in trouble when dad came around and began talking to me. He had a weird Shogi Board and began talking to me.

''Son I think it's time you received this. As you know from your training from myself and your mother...well you're a quarter Valkyrie. You are going to eventually get dragged into the supernatural regardless of choice on the matter. I would love to protect you but as you know I can't...not with this injured body of mine. I poured years of work into this Shogi Board to create something like what these Angels or Devils use to help you. This Shogi Board has a Hokage Piece which is you. When you'll recruit other people regardless of their supernatural genetics, they'll be changed into matching your supernatural type so in this case a Half Valkyrie. Do you want to use it still? If not then I'll lock it away until you need it.'' Dad said as I immediately gave him my answer this is exactly what I wanted to help Issei and beyond. I gave my answer instantly.

''YESS! Issei might be targeted by this dad! I need it to help him to avoid him getting manipulated!'' I told him as he nodded and began weaving through hand signs and gave me a warning.

''Alright son, just be aware that inserting your Kage Piece in you will hurt like a motherfucker. But afterward, you will be able to sue all the other pieces and I can brief you about them later.'' He said as he began inserting the Kage Piece and then PAIN! Holy mother fucking shit, the pain! It felt like my soul was on fire! That lava was flooding through my arteries and veins, and that acid was shoved into my Chakra pathways and nervous system. Then my mind shattered like glass before it was reforged by a burning hot white fire of willpower. Once done the pain was done as my mind was now aware of how this system worked. I could only guess that dad used seals to insert the knowledge of how it works into me along with his Jutsus. I then hugged him and thanked him as I decided to go see Issei since he did brag to me about where his date would take place.

As I arrived at the park I saw that issei was with that Yuuma girl eating Ice Cream at a stand farther away so I decided to sneak into his bag and found a flyer from the devils. I immediately destroyed the flyer as I was gonna save him anyway. Fuck those devils and anyone harming my friend or manipulating him! I discretely hid as Issei and Yuuma decided to sit and talk on a park bench. There was no one in sight as that Yuuma girl placed a barrier to prevent anyone from coming here except one intruder. Rias Gremory, one of the queens of our school. She was a devil and it seemed she was banking on Issei dying to recruit him by force. I decided to stealthily knock her unconscious as I did haymaker on her from behind. As I was done with that Yuuma began to show her true colors. She unleashed her true form as she grew black feathered wings and was dressed in a leather dominatrix outfit. Her breast got bigger and her meek expression was replaced with a sadistic one.

She began talking with Issei as she explained why did this to him. She then decided to form a pink light spear to impale him but was stopped by me. Both she and Issei sported a look of confusion as I grabbed her spear and impaled her in the head with her own weapon. She began to bleed out as I Issei fell to his knees who was panicking about this. I decided to explain things to him.

''Buddy...there no easy way to say this but...I'm not fully human. I'm half Valkyrie from my mother's side. The supernatural does exist and she was sent to kill you. If you refuse to believe me then look over there. Rias is a devil and she planned to let you die to force your loyalty.'' I said to him as he looked her where Rias was and her wings were out. Issei's world was shattered as he began sobbing and asked me questions.

''N-Naoto...sniff...w-why did you hide this from me? Am I not...needed?'' He asked as I calmed him down and explained their reasoning.

''It's not like I could have without evidence otherwise you'd call me crazy. Issei that's why she tried to kill and Rias let you die...you ARE too much of an asset for any supernatural factions. You have a Sacred Gear inside of you so that's why Yuuma tried to kill you...Rias was using her to then appear and save you earning your loyalty. Devils like her use a system to turn others into devil's slaves for them.'' I explained to him as balled his fist and asked another question.

''T-Then why did she let me die then?! She is one of the queens of Kuoh Academy, many students would kill to be in her club so why didn't she simply ask me?!'' issei asked as I answered him truthfully.

''Because if she has to let you die to recruit you then...she has no time to ask you to be recruited as she maybe needs help and cannot have unloyal slaves. You don't let someone die to appear as a hero unless you consider earning loyalty into a factor.'' I said as he nodded while sobbing. I then took a piece and told him what it did.

Issei, any factions can give you a longer lifespan, harems, or anything you desire. She would have prayed on that but with me...I can train you to use that Sacred Gear to protect yourself while staying human like me. By joining me as my second in command Jonin with this piece, you will be able to have a harem but be unable to be converted by the supernatural. You can stay with me Issei as you'll get your harem but with this, you won't be manipulated or forced to join someone else. Do you accept my best buddy?'' I asked him as he seemed to think about it. He nodded and said his piece.

''Yes, Naoto! You stuck by me when Rin-Kun left and I became suicidal. I may have become a pervert but you saved my life. You even tried to warn me about Yuuma and I didn't listen. And after all my faults you didn't give up on my worthless Oppai-loving ass. I accept.'' Issei said as the Shogi piece for second in command and Jonin went into him as Issei joined me. We were about to leave the park when we heard an angry voice yell at us.

''NAOTO UZUMAKI! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE?! YOU FOILED MY ESCAPED TICKET OUT OF A FORCED MARRIAGE! I HATE YOU!'' The voice said which was none other then Rias as Issei and me turned to face her holding a crimson and black orb in her hands aimed at us as she seemed to radiate pure anger and rage.
