The Battle of Sullest was an interesting battle, to say the least. It was Han, Akko, Diana, Hannah, Barbara, and a garrison of rebel troopers. Their objective was to destroy an Imperial weapons factory on the Planet of Sullest. The planet itself was hot with magma as the team was looking over the supposedly heavily defended factory.
"What do you see?" Diana asked.
"12 men on the perimeter, with 3 turrets, one chicken walker, and a few heavies," Han said as he examined the situation.
"What do you think, D?" Akko asked.
Diana thought for a moment. She then asked Han, "Hey, Han, is there only one way to go into the factory?"
"No, there are a few other entrances, the closet one is on the far-left side. The issue is that both the right and left are heavily guarded, and the rear is a day's worth journey which we do not have," Han explained.
Diana looked over at the garrison and counted the number of rebels they have. "I have it, smokes and mirrors," she said as Diana came up with a plan.
"What?" Han asked in a hushed tone.
"Smokes and mirrors, illusions. It is a low-risk plan, we just need to have a distraction while we moved to the left entrance," Diana explained.
"What do you have in mind?" Han asked.
"How about some movie magic?" Akko said as she pulled out her wand.
"Wait, Akko, that is not what I had in mind," Diana said, but it was too late as the ground started to shake.
"Akko, what have you done?" Han asked as he was trying to get his balance.
"We needed a distraction, so I created one for us," Akko said.
"I did not mean for you to cast an illusion that looks like one of those creatures from the movies you watch," Diana said.
"First of all, D, the creature's name is Godzilla, and second of all, it will get all of the guards' attention. Now, can we go, please?" Akko said as she crept towards the left entrance.
"What does she mean by getting all of the guards' attention?" Han asked, although did not need the answer as he heard a horrifying roar.
"That is what she means," Diana said shaking her head in disappointment. The rebels looked behind them and saw a reptilian creature that was the size of a titan walking towards the factory.
The rebels were left speechless as the horrific monster's steps shook the planet with all of its might. Han, getting out of his stupor, whispered, "Well, it looks like those Imperial slugs will have a field day. Now let's go while they are distracted."
"I agree," Diana said, as she crept in the same direction as Akko.
The battalion was able to slip through the left entrance as the stormtroopers were freaking out, trying to kill the giant beast. The rebels took cover on both sides as Han was hacking into the lock system. Akko and Diana were watching as the stormtroopers were trying their best to defeat the monster.
"I do gotta admit Akko, you were right about those bucket heads being distracted," Hannah said.
"Got it," Han said, as he was able to unlock the door from the console. The witches and smuggler unhooked their pistols as they made their way through the factory quietly.
The battalion made it into the center of the factory, where the loud sounds of tools and droids were building weapons and armory for the Imperial army. Even though the witches were in this universe for a longer period of time, they were still amazed at the shape of the AT-ATs. Getting out of their stupor, Diana and Akko divided the battalion into thirds with one group following Han, another group following Diana, and the last group following Akko. They all separated into different areas of the factory.
Akko and her team entered what seems to be a communications center of sorts. Examining the room, the young witch was looking around, flipping through files and looking through a terminal. The rest of her group was planting the bombs on each corner of the room so that it can cave in. Looking through the files, there was one that caught Akko's attention.
"Now, what do we have here?" Akko asked herself, as she looked through the files.
"Ma'am, the bombs are set," one of the rebels said, as he was walking toward Akko.
"Hey Jhon, you speak basic right?" Akko asked.
"Yes, ma'am, why?" Jhon asked.
"Can you decipher this for me please?" Akko asked.
"Yes, ma'am. It states that the Empire is building a new superweapon. It is supposed to be similar to the first Death Star. Although it does not tell the location of this weapon, I do believe that this can be quite valuable to our cause," Jhon explained.
"That is what I thought," Akko said. She reached into her jacket pocket, pulling out a comn link. "Bravo team to Alpha team, come in Alpha team," Akko said into the device.
"Alpha team here, what happen Akko?" Han asked.
"I have something here that might interest you and Leia," Akko said.
"Show it to me once we regroup at the center," Han ordered.
"Copy that, my team is finishing up," Akko said.
"Copy, Diana said her team is done, my team is just charging them up," Han explained.
"Copy, see you once we are done," Akko said. She turned off her comn link and continued what she was doing.
As soon as all of the charges were set, Akko lead the team through another doorway. Hiding in a corner, the young witch saw the corridor was filled with stormtroopers and officers. "Kuso," Akko whispered. Akko could not think of a plan as she realized that her team was trapped.
"Hey Han, we might have an issue here," Akko said as she got her comn link out.
"What happened?" Han asked.
"Let's just say my team is trapped," Akko said.
"Damn, do you think you can come back to the center another way?" Han asked.
"No, but I have an idea. I just need your team and Diana's team to find cover," Akko said.
"What do you have in mind?" Han asked.
"Oh, you will see," Akko said, turning off her comn link before Han can say anything. She then had her team circle around her. "Ok, so our way back is blocked by those bucket heads. Now, I have an idea of how we can get out with little to no casualties. Dun, how much of those explosives do we have left?"
"About four left, ma'am," Dun answered.
"Ok, Terra, I will need you to be with me. You and I are going to be distracting the enemy. Dun, I need you and Jhon to create small balls of those explosives. On my signal, throw them at us. The rest of you find cover where we can only face one side without getting hit by debris or blasters," Akko explained. Everyone nodded, getting into position.
Terra followed Akko as the young witch stood up. "What is your plan, miss?" Terra asked.
"I don't know, but just followed my lead," Akko said, as she took out her wand. She cast a spell that changed both her and Terra's clothing. Akko and Terra were now wearing officer uniforms for the Imperial Army.
"Ready?" Akko asked.
"Yes, ma'am," Terra said.
Akko looked around and saw her team hiding in the corners, with Dun and Jhon holding the explosive ball. Taking a deep breath and getting into character, Akko shouted, "Officer, what the hell are doing here? Did you not hear the horrific monster outside?"
"Who are you? I have never seen you two here before?" the officer asked.
"Who are you to question me, officer? Are you deaf or just stupid? There is a damn monster outside and you guys are just standing here putting your fingers up your ass," Akko said.
"Wait a minute, you look familiar," the officer said.
"That is because I have a recognizable face. Now can you lot hurry up and destroy that monster before it destroys us," Akko said.
"Wait a minute, you are that rebel hero, the Blue Dragon," the officer said, pointing the weapon at Akko and Terra.
"What is this, a mutiny?" Akko said, still trying to play her part, "Can't you believe that Admiral, this officer is disobeying orders."
"Enough games where is the rest of your team?" the officer asked.
"I guess the jig is up, Terra. Man, we are going to get captured, I am going to cry," Akko said, teary eyes, kneeling on the floor. Terra is catching on to what Akko is doing and started pleading for her life. The two young rebels just started laughing, with Akko saying, "Yeah, I don't think so. Now!"
Dun and Jhon threw the explosives toward the officer, with Akko grabbing both her wand and her blaster. In one hand, she shot her DL-44 towards the explosives, which created a huge explosion killing all of the Imperial soldiers in the hallway. In the other hand, in a split second, she cast a protective shield in front of her which deflected the debris away from her and her team.
As soon as the smoke cleared, Akko found a hole that led to the center of the factory. Keeping her blaster in hand, Akko lead her team through the factory, towards the area where they would regroup with Han and Diana's team.
Han, Diana, and their respective teams were waiting patiently as Akko and her team approached them. Akko and her team's faces were covered with smoke and soot as Han, Diana, Hannah, and Barbara approached her. "What the hell happened to you?" Han asked.
"Well, we were surrounded by enemy troops, so I created another entrance," Akko said with a toothy grin.
"You do realize that the Empire will now be on our butts now, after feeling that explosion," Han said.
"Ahh, don't worry Han, everything is all right. The enemy still doesn't know we're here," Akko said. But at that moment, the alarm sounded as a red light was flashing through the factory.
"As you were saying," Hannah said.
"Find some cover!" Han commanded.
Everyone did as they were told, hiding behind some machines and stairs. Stormtroopers and Imperial officers ran into the center of the factory. The rebels were holding their breaths, waiting for the right moment to strike. As soon as the stormtroopers were in their sights, Akko pulled out what seems to be thermal detonators. Giving one to Diana and the other one to Barbara, they set the charge to ready as the trio threw them toward the enemy troopers. The detonators rolled towards the troopers as one of them spotted it. Before any of the Imperial scum can do anything, the detonators exploded.
The room erupted into a big firefight between the Rebels and the Empire. Hannah and Barbara were firing their pistols as Akko crawled toward Diana. "You know, this is the right moment to detonate those bombs. At least to lower their numbers," Akko said as she fired her pistol toward the Imperial officers.
"Are you mad? We will get buried underneath the rubble," Hannah said.
"Did you just forget that we are witches, we just have to create a shield that will cover all of us here," Akko shouted, dodging the blaster bolts. Dual wielding her blaster pistols, Akko managed to knock out a few of the stormtroopers. "Barbara, I need you to go to Han and tell him of our plan. We will give you some covering fire. Go, go," Akko ordered, pushing Barbara to the floor so she can crawl toward Han.
Barbara crawled towards Han, as Akko and some of the rebels were firing off their blasters at the enemy. When Barbara made it to Han, she sits up and fired some shots off of her DE-10. "Hey Han, so Akko has this, like, crazy idea," she said, as she avoided some of the blaster bolts.
"Any idea is a good idea so long as it can get us out of this mess," Han said as he was firing his pistol.
"She wants to set off the bombs to entrap the enemy troopers," Barbara answered.
"She wants to do what?" Han asked surprised.
"Set off the bombs," Barbara said.
"Does she realize that we will be caught in the crossfire too," Han said.
"Yeah, she said that she, Diana, Hannah, and I will have to create a barrier for all of us," Barbara said.
Chewbacca roared as the rebels were taking heavy fire. "I know, I know Chewy. Okay Barbara, let your friends know whenever they are ready, I will pull the triggers," Han said after taking a minute to look at the situation.
"Yes sir," Barbara said. She unclipped her wand and tapped it on her head. This signals to Diana.
"Ok, Akko, Han agreed to the plan," Diana said.
"Copy. Let's get ready and start to form the biggest protective barrier as we can," Akko said, as she unclipped her wand. Diana and Hannah did the same. Akko tapped her wand on her head, signaling to Barbara, letting her know that she and the rest of the witches are ready.
Barbara nodded and told Han, "They are ready."
"Here goes nothing," Han said as he took the detonator and press the button. The explosion was huge as it rocked the floor causing everyone to be unbalanced. As the debris was falling everywhere, the four young witches were able to produce a huge magical barrier over themselves and the rebels. The Imperial officers and stormtroopers were not so lucky as they were crushed to death by the falling debris. As soon as the explosion calmed down, Diana levitated the debris off of their shield. When the debris was gone, Akko, Hannah, and Barbara made the barrier disappear as they put away their wands. The crisp burnt ashy air of the fiery environment filled everyone's nose as the rebels look over the destruction they just made.
"Alright! Well, that was easy," Akko said patting the ash off of her.
"Akko, on our way back to base, we are going to have a long discussion about what just happened," Han said. He, Chewbacca, and the rest of the rebels started making their way toward the Falcon as the witches joined up with them.
