—Chapter One— The Mission
At Hogwarts, an unusual scene unfolded, Dumbledore walked nervously from one side of the room to the other, these last two years were not easy years, with Voldemort having invaded the castle by parasitizing the teacher of Defense Against The Dark Arts before being defeated, and the following year his spirit returned possessing a student to free a basilisk inside the school corridors for the beast to attack other students, and worse whenever something happens there's a group of students in the middle of it all, Albus cursed down who chose him to have that miserable luck, and if it didn't make matters worse, a convicted murderer did the impossible, escaped from the world's most security witch prison, Azkaban, and is in search of the same student who defeated them both, the host of the Lord of the Dark and his basilisk, and the same as 12 years ago "defeated" Voldemort, Harry Potter.
"Severus, stop spying on me from behind the door and say what you want to say" The director of Hogwarts spoke looking at the door, from which a thin, pale man, with black eyes, a big nose, and black, long, oily hair, wearing a black robe, came in.
"I came to speak to you about the position of Professor of Defense Against Dark Arts" The man spoke in a soft voice, with restrained emotion. "In recent years we have not been able to keep this position occupied, with one dying after betraying us, and another having an unfortunate accident with a memory spell"
"Don't worry Severus, I already have someone in mind, Remus Lupin" Dumbledore declared
"Lupin? Are you crazy? Bringing a werewolf into high school, and at a time like this, I'm sure he'd help Sirius Black into the castle as soon as the killer asked, "Severus got out of control having a fit of rage, justifiable, however, ignored by the principal.
"I don't think I'm crazier than when I kept your job here, Severus, I remember clearly that the Ministry wasn't too happy with a Death Eater working as a teacher" Dumbledore spoke making Snape silence himself. "Furthermore he will not ally himself with Sirius, when I spoke to him, he showed total distaste for the actions of his old friend, and if he transforms, and Sirius is around, even with his feral mind he would attack him, for he would feel that he is a threat."
"Right, something else I should know?" Severus asked, suppressing anger,
"I don't think I have anything you should know, but something you'd like to know," Dumbledore said sarcastically. "I'm calling two students, one is Remus's apprentice, Chiara Lobosca, he sent me a letter last year telling me not to summon her, she was attacked by Fenrir Greyback at a very young age, and he tried to help her control her wolf side since he found her, she was very mentally unstable because before attacking her Greyback killed her parents in front of her, he's been with her ever since, she's twelve now, but Lupin taught her the basic first-year resume so I'm going to put her in the second year."
"Two werewolves, great, and who's the other?" Snape asked getting a smile from Dumbledore
~ Minami Iwo Jima, Japan
A large fox ran in a forest, the animal was one meter tall, with red-orange hair with bright yellow reflections, red eyes, and nine tails, the fox moved swiftly among the trees, including climbing them and moving through its branches, the animal then reached a large rock on the edge of a cliff, where he sat, the fox disappeared into a cloud of smoke, and where she was appeared a young man seated, he had fair skin, sharp blue eyes, long blond hair orange locks, mustache marks on his face and fox tails, he wore a white kimono, under a red haori, dark hakama pants, and zōri. The boy takes a blue ocarina from the haori and begins to play a melody, as soon as the sound of the instrument began, all the sound of the forest was muted, as if the time were to stop, all kinds of animals gathered around the stone where the young man played, all the creatures looked in awe, the young man played the sound of nature.
"Naruto! Hey Naruto!" A voice called, causing the young man to stop playing the instrument, which caused the animals to return to what they were doing earlier.
"Hi, guys, what's up?" The fox boy, named Naruto, turned around and saw a group of people calling him
"The headmaster is calling you," said a boy with hair tied in a ponytail
"Thank you Shikamaru" Naruto thanked as he rose from the stone
"What did you do this time Dobe?" A boy with black hair and eyes said sarcastically
"Nothing Sasuke, but maybe I can trade all the tomatoes in the cafeteria for nattō," The blonde said leaving the other boy in shock
"Monster," The young man with black hair said with comic tears
Naruto then, completely ignoring the other boy, left for the office of Mahoutokoro's magic school headmaster, Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"Hi, old man, did I do something?" Naruto said entering the room
"No Naruto, not this time, I wanted to tell you about one thing," The director said
"What? seems to be important" The young man commented
"And it is, my friend is the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and asked me for a favor, he asked me to send a student on an exchange mission, and I chose you" The principal stated
"What? Are you crazy? Age really hit you, didn't it? do you want to send me to the UK?"
"It is for a noble reason, to help protect a person" The old man spoke
"Who? The minister of magic? a princess? The queen?!" The boy spoke slightly enthusiastically
"No, a boy your age named Harry Potter" Hiruzen said laughing lightly at the boy's frustration
"Wait, Harry Potter? that Harry Potter who supposedly defeated one of the greatest dark wizards of all time? this Harry Potter? Why the hell would he need my help?" The boy asked with latent curiosity
"In the last two years, young Potter had started his early years at Hogwarts, and apparently there have been some unforeseen events with him and his friends, including a problem with a basilisk last year." The man spoke
"Let me get this straight, you want me to leave my country, my friends, and my house, to babysit a bunch of 13-year-old boys, to keep them from dying?" Naruto looked at the man who considers a grandfather with a surprised look
"No, but you wouldn't let me finish, he asked because a criminal, a murderer, escaped from Azkaban, a maximum security prison, and is after Harry Potter, but the reason I agree to send a student on a mission like this, is that Jiraya discovered information about Orochimaru, apparently he is preparing to go to the UK along with his soldiers, I believe that in search of the former allies of the You-Know-Who" Hiruzen declared, causing the boy to freeze with hatred upon hearing the mention of two of the greatest wizards of darkness, among them the man who killed his parents.
"All right, I will, " Naruto said with a deadly serious look.
"Great, having any information let me know and Naruto, promise me you won't go after him, no matter how powerful you are, he's much more experienced, and has an army" Hiruzen declared
"Okay, I'm not going grandpa, I'm not an idiot," Naruto said, making the man smile
"Glad you're not so dumb Naruto, now go get your stuff, you'll leave immediately," The old man said with a smile
"WHAT?!" The boy said scared
"That's right, you have to hurry, you have to be in London to buy the stuff even today, so that on day 1 you already go to school" Hiruzen spoke making the boy run out and leaving only a comical cloud in his way
"Great, now I have to pack up all my stuff, just that damn snake to make me cross two entire continents in one day," Naruto thought as he ran at an absurd speed creating a trail of smoke behind him
The boy entered a large house similar to a temple, he ran and entered his room, he took a large suitcase and inside it kept a set just like the one he was wearing, he decided not to take more because he would buy Western clothes when he arrived in London, a set of scrolls, a Katana, and a photo, in it a blond man with electric blue eyes with an electrifying smile, and on the other side a woman with long red hair with marks on her cheek, and in the middle, a child resembling the two with a fox tail, the only picture of him with his parents, he was only a year old when it happened, but the event marked him eternally, causing a mark that he will not be able to delete.
With a tear on his face he kept the photo and closed the suitcase, he pulled a seal from inside the haori, put it on top of the suitcase and sealed it, and kept it back in the haori, he then ran back to the director's office the same way it came out
"I packed the bag," He said panting
"Great, now some things before you go that you did not let me talk about," The old man said with a serious look "Well, Dumbledore said that your origin will not be told, and no one will know that you are a yōkai minus the teachers, he will just tell that you are an exchange student"
"Okay, anything else?" Naruto asked
"Just one more thing, here's a letter that Dumbledore wrote, has everything you'll need and some important information, and I asked Ino to deploy the place you have to go in your mind, I think she's already done it"
"When did she do that? Well, I don't care, now I'm going." The blond spoke, disappearing in a flash of light
"Yes, good luck Naruto," the old man said smiling watching the boy disappear
~Leaky Cauldron, London, England
Naruto appeared as lightning inside a small dirty and dark pub full of tables where some suspicious people sat, the blonde walked to the counter where he was greeted by a very old-looking man, his head did not possess a hair either, and his skin was very white, with pointed ears and with the handful of teeth left being sharpened gave him a similar appearance to a mixture of a walnut with the Nosferatu.
"Hello, would you know what day it is today?" Naruto said hurried and with a strong accent, fruit of tiredness and sleep
"Oh, yes, today is August 30th, why? Are you late buying the materials? It happens every year, I'll provide a room for you" The owner of the pub spoke in a faint and slurred voice coming out
"30? that miserable old man made me run for almost 10,000 miles at 6 am so I wouldn't be late, and in the end, I arrive yesterday, great" Naruto murmured angrily as he followed the man
"Here sir, room number 12, have a good night" The bartender spoke
"Thank you very much, sir?" Naruto asked
"Call me Tom," The old man said showing a sinister but still friendly smile
"Thank you, Tom, have a good night," Naruto said entering the room, which proved to be quite the opposite of the pub, was clean and neat, the oak furniture had a smooth finish and the crackle of the fireplace gave the atmosphere a pleasant climate, Naruto lay in the bed surprisingly comfortable and slept like never before.
Naruto woke up with the sunlight hitting his face, that damn fireball always got in the way of his sacred sleep, he still lying down he thought about blowing it up, but he thought it would be too troublesome, so he just got up and left the room, he took the letter that old Hiruzen had delivered him and left, but not before hiding his tails and ears, no one could know about its nature until Dumbledore decides that it can be revealed, but his marks on his face could not be hidden, but he thought it would be no problem.
Naruto then left the room towards the pub, he did not feel hungry so he went straight through the door going towards the shops, after asking Tom for some information, he left for Diagon Alley, 30 minutes after an endless conversion of the detailed Ryō coins to the local coins, and the near discussion with the goblins of the Gringotts bank, he went shopping, unlike the conversion of the coins, his purchases ended quickly, he then decided to have breakfast and explore the wizarding world, he was intrigued by a store that sold products to quidditch, he had already seen some games, but never understood the funny part of climbing on a broom and throwing balls inside rings, but maybe he'd try later, he wandered a little further and walked into a pet store, bad idea.
The store was called Magical Menagerie, the store was a nightmare for a claustrophobic because every inch of the store was covered in cages with the most diverse types of animals, the store was noisy and smelly, even more for someone with smell enhanced as that of a kitsune, but the worst thing Naruto saw in the store was a set of cages full of foxes, taken by a heroic desire to help them and an even greater desire to cause chaos, he used a spell that unlocked the cages which caused a huge uproar inside the small shop.
"Run, my children, run," Naruto says slightly insanely before disappearing into a cloud of smoke amid the fleeing foxes that ran wildly all over the alley, except for one who unbeknownst to the blonde had hidden inside his haori.
Arriving back at the pub he found what he never expected, an infestation of redheads, even though it was his first time in England he knew that this amount of people of the same hair color in one place was not normal, he then took a chair at a table next to one in which a redhead girl sat, the girl looked a year younger than him and she read the book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on the Kappas page.
"They're pretty ugly, huh? And very rude by the way" Naruto spoke looking at the creature in the book that looked like a monkey covered in scales, with his hands spanked and a depression full of water on top of his head.
"Is that right? How do you know that?" Said the girl still looking at the book, entertained by reading
"I've met some, they're common where I came from, and they're pretty nasty," The blonde said and the girl became confused, the Kappas were native to Japan, but the boy sounded like a British, she then turned around and stared at him.
"Are you Japanese?" The redhead asked skeptically
"Born and raised, yes, I came from Kyoto" Naruto spoke with a wry smile "Why?"
"You don't look Japanese," She said skeptically
"Demo, watashi wa nihonjindesu, misu kyarottoheddo," He said mocking
"Wait, are you really? I'm sorry, but wait, what did you say?" The girl said embarrassed making her face get slightly blushed
"Don't worry, it's happened to me before, even at my old school" Said Naruto recalling the problems with relation to his hair, especially before entering Mahoutokoro "But then, what's your name? we've been talking for ten minutes, and the first question you asked me wasn't that, so I do.
"Oh, sorry, my name is Ginny, Ginny Weasley" She presented herself with an embarrassed smile
"Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki, is a pleasure to meet her Naruto said he said while a small fox jumped on his head "What is this?"
"How cute, is it yours?" Ginny asked taking the fox in her arms
"Not really, I think he came with me when..." Naruto tried to speak but was interrupted by laughter coming from the pub door
"That was..."
"Genius"
These phrases were spoken by two twins with the same hair tone as most people who were in the pub at that time
"Hi Fred and George, why are you laughing?" Ginny asked her brothers
"Oh, we were looking for Ron and Hermione when a bunch of foxes ran..." Fred started
"Apparently someone freed them all from Magical Menagerie and then disappeared" George ended up still laughing "Wait, Ginny, what's that on your hand?"
"It's a fox" She replied looking at Naruto who had been whistling "innocently" since the twins began to tell the story, Fred realizing it looked at the blonde and then at his brother
"Was it you? Man, that was amazing, wasn't it, George?" Fred spoke
"Sure, Fred, what do you think about calling this young man to our group?" George replied
"I think it's a great idea, brother" Fred spoke with a smile
Naruto was particularly confused by the way the twins spoke, but his mischievous senses told him that they were the kind of people who get into trouble easily... your kind of friends
"What kind of group is this?" Naruto asked curiously getting a misdeed smile from both twins.
"It's a small group, Me, Fred, our friend Lee, sometimes a poltergeist named Peeves and you, if you accept, it's a bunch for pranks," George said drawing the blonde's attention
"I'm in, I'll do whatever it takes," Naruto said
"Right, what you have to do is..." Fred started
"...Prank us" George finished "But don't think it's going to be easy"
"I know it won't, but hey, Fred, your shoes are untied" Naruto spoke as he snaps his fingers
"Seriously that's how you're going to try to do it? And why my feet are so cold and sticky?" Fred lowered his head and saw that his shoes disappeared "What?"
Fred's missing shoes floated on top of both's heads, and as soon as Fred bowed his heads they fell, making them turn around, and with a finger gesture Naruto used magic to lower the twins' pants, which at the same instant lifted them up, while the twins were amazed Naruto and Ginny laughed at the surprise faces they made.
"That was good, you're in" George spoke holding his pants
"But how did you do it? I didn't even see you picking up your wand" Fred asked curiously, also holding his pants
"A prankster never reveals his secret," Naruto said with a fox-smiling, mocking but charming that made Ginny blush lightly "Well, I have to go to my room to arrange the bags for tomorrow, bye Ginny, Fred, George."
"Wait, you didn't say your name," George said
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki, it's a pleasure," He said making an exaggerated gesture and then disappearing into a cloud of smoke, at the same time as three people came through the door.
Naruto showed up in his room and began packing his bags, storing the books and clothes he had bought, and a bag of money, he knew he could store it all with a single hand gesture, but he preferred to do it manually, he loved magic, but he hated how she could make people lazy, which is why he preferred to do things his way, also had the fact that he could not use magic inside his house thanks to the stamps that his father created, Naruto then decided to read the book that Jiraya wrote, which was from where his name originated until he took to sleep, he had in mind that the next day would be the beginning of something great, something that would change him forever.
