Reviews: 5. which is good.
Do not, I repeat, request for my readers to check out your stories and threaten to do mortal harm if they don't check it out.
Someone did, and it was kinda annoying. And since I never did check out their story it's safe to assume that I'm likely to die soon.
Don't worry, I did end up deleting it thou, so you guys will be fine.
NaruLemon Stories: Maybe, I heard that they tried fixing the email updates, don't know if they actually ended up doing it.
Also, I probably won't start posting on AO3, for various reasons.
AVL04: Q- Yami Naruto?
A- Not exactly
Elchabon: Like I said in the last chapter , the main couple is Naruto/Sakura M., so no harems or anything else of the sort. But there might be other side pairings but they will be the main ones.
And as much as I like Jalter and Salter, they won't get much love in this story, maybe another if I end up writing another Fate fic.

Part 1- Rain
Chapter 2- Secrets Unknown
Shirou looked out of his school window as he reminisced about what had happened recently. His world seemed to be turning upside down.
Servants? Holy Grail War? These were all things that he only recently began to understand.
He began to reminisce about the day that practically changed his life… and what had gotten in this mess.
XXX
(A few days prior)
After having just helped his friend Issei with fixing some of the school's appliances, Shirou began to realize that it had been getting late, as he saw that the sun was just now setting.
As he walked down the stairs he heard the distinct sound of girl's laughter, and as he turned his head he heard a boy with seaweed colored hair say to a couple of girls, "No, it was nothing! You think that was amazing?"
Their chatting stopped as they spotted him.
"Shinji…" he muttered, as he recognized the boy.
"Still at school, Emiya?" Shinji mocked.
Shirou began collecting his thoughts, as he began remembering the incident with Sakura earlier that day. "I need to talk to you. Come with me for a minute." He told Shinji.
But Shinji only smirked, "A minute? Too bad, as you can see, I'm busy." He said, as he motioned for the two pretty girls next to him. "Whatever your little problem is, it can wait." He told him.
"Isn't that right, girls?" Shinji asked the two behind him, as he began to walk off.
But Shirou still continued to try to talk to him. "Hang on, Shinji. This is about the bruises on Sakura's hand and face." He told him, as Shinji stopped dead in his tracks.
The seaweed haired boy then turned back to him in faux confusion and said, "Huh, what's this about Sakura?"
But Shirou only walked closer to Shinji and continued to press on. "Don't dodge the question," he told him. "Didn't you do anything—"
Shinji interrupted him, "Like I know anything about her." He hissed.
"Even though she's your little sister?" Shirou retorted.
But that only seemed to fuel Shinji's rage. "Look, Emiya. You're getting on my nerves"
"It's a sibling matter, so all the more reason to keep your nose out of it, right?"
"You really don't know how she got it?" Shinji asked.
"Nope." Shirou answered begrudgingly.
"Or is it Sakura saying that I beat her?"
"No." He answered again.
Shinji smirked, as if he had just won, "There you go, then. It's not nice to make reckless accusations, Emiya."
Shirou didn't believe Shinji for a second, but he reluctantly apologized, "I suppose, I'm sorry I doubted you."
Shinji laughed, "If you feel bad, then do me a favor. See, the dojo's kind of a mess right now. If you've got all this free time, maybe you could clean up, Emiya?" He requested, although he was so smug it seemed like he was ordering him to do it.
"Didn't Miss Fujimura tell you to do that, Senpai?" One of the girls asked.
The other girl answered for her question,"She did. If you don't do it, she'll—"
"It's fine," Shinji interrupted. "Anyway, if I started cleaning now, the shop would be closed by the time I finished." He added.
The two girls began to consider his words, as Shinji began walking off.
"I know I can count on you!" Shinji shouted back at shirou.
"Wait, Senpai!" One of the girls called out, as she quickly went to follow after the seaweed haired boy.
The other stayed just long enough to take a quick bow and say a thank-you.
Leaving Shirou alone in the corridor, sighing.
XXX
(Present)
It had already been late, but after cleaning the archery club's dojo, it had been extremely dark out.
It was then he was left to witness one of the strangest events of his life.
Two men were engaging in battle. But it was more than that, the two both displayed superhuman abilities. Abilities so powerful that it would even leave modern mages in shock.
One wielded a long red spear. While the other wielded a pair of twin short blades.
Both appeared to be skilled. Both appeared to be powerful.
But they both began to notice him, one began to chase him, and he even…
He then woke up and returned home.
But then that strange man with a lance followed him, he tried to battle him, but he stood no chance. That was when…
"I ask of you, are you my master?"
Those were the words she said to him.
He had accidentally managed to summon what was known as a servant. One of the 'Saber' class, from what she told him.
It was then that Saber began to engage upon that guy with a lance. And later, she started to fight the guy with the twin blades, and her master… It was Rin Tohsaka.
Tohsaka began to explain to him just what kind of situation he had gotten in. And with the help of a priest, he understood.
About the Grail War, about Servants, about everything.
That's when they were attacked, by Illyasviel von Einzbern… and berserker, or Heracles as she called him.
It was then he witnessed what a battle truly could be.
And when Berserker was ready to slice Saber's head clean off… he stepped in.
He then woke up in his house.
Saber was there to chastise him, but then she began to help train him, to grow stronger.
… But he still had school.
Saber had insisted on coming, but with him as a master, she had proved to be unable to go into what she called 'spirit form'.
The worst part was he still hadn't seen Sakura yet.
Heading out of class early, he traversed the halls of the school.
Speak of the devil, as he turned the corner, he began to gaze upon his purple haired underclassmen.
As Sakura spotted him, she quickly turned away.
But he soon called after her, "Sakura, wait!" He said, as he grabbed onto her shoulder, halting her tracks. "You've been avoiding me." He told her, and she stiffened.
Turning around to face him, she said, "N-no, I'm not avoiding you, Senpai!" She told him.
But both of them knew that she was lying.
Regardless, if what Shirou suspected was true, he couldn't allow her to go back to her house, especially with all those servants running around.
"It's fine," he told her, and gave her a friendly smile. "But hey, Fuji-nee has been missing you, we both have."
Sakura blushed, but quickly turned away in shame. "It's just… I've been busy." She lied.
"I see," Shirou said, "But, if you ever need any help, let me help you." He told her, and Sakura's walls started to crack.
And he followed up with, "I want you to come over for dinner tonight, I'll even cook for you, so you don't have to worry about that, it'll be like an apology." Shirou said, as he left, to give Sakura more time to think.
Sakura just stared back at her Senpai, and secret crush's figure.
'If you ever need any help, let me help you.'
Those were the words that Shirou had told her, he was always like that. Shirou Emiya was someone who always wanted to help people. He always tries to go out of his way for anybody, and she wasn't an exception.
Perhaps… perhaps she could open up to him. To tell him everything. Perhaps her Senpai could save her, and become the 'Hero of Justice' that he wanted to be.
'No, we both know Shirou Emiya could never help you.' A voice in the back of her mind said.
'What was that?' She questioned.
Was that a stray thought? Perhaps a thought conjured up by her subconscious mind. Or something… else?
She tried listening for that voice again, but it refused to speak.
Regardless… it was right.
What was she thinking?
Shirou Emiya could never save her.
That was the truth of the matter. No matter how much she wanted for it to happen. Shirou Emiya could not save her. No one could.
But another stray thought entered her mind.
But maybe? Just maybe… she could have just a few more precious moments with her Senpai.
Would that be too much to ask?
XXX
Some time later (Emiya residence)
A stray knock reached the door, and after a few seconds she heard rustling he behind the entrance.
It wasn't long after that the door opened. And she gazed upon her precious Senpai, as he smiled so brightly that it sent her heart to a flutter.
"Oh, Sakura, it's good to see you," He said. "You're just in time too, dinner is almost ready, Fuji-nee is already at the table, why don't you go sit down with her?" Her Senpai told her.
And as she went inside to sit down, just as Shirou had said, Ms. Taiga Fujimura was sitting at the table… with another woman?
She had bright blonde hair tied up in a bun, with bold green eyes and a beautiful heart-shaped face. She wore a white button-up shirt with a blue ribbon tied at her color that matched her blue skirt.
Just who was this woman?
'Interesting, so the saber of this war is Artoria Pendragon again.'
There was that stray voice again, what was once a hollow whisper became louder.
Was she going crazy? Perhaps it was a long time coming.
Wait... Arthur Pendragon? THE King Arthur was the saber for this war.
But what was she doing with Shirou?… unless.
No! No, no, no, no, no, no!
That would mean that Shirou Emiya was one of the seven masters of this war. He couldn't be. He was supposed to be her escape from this world. Shirou wasn't even a magus, so how could he be selected as a master?
It was then that Shirou came over to speak with them.
"Senpai, who is this girl?" Sakura asked, as she gave the Saber of this war a harsh glare.
"Oh? This is Saber" he introduced, but that only confirmed her misfortune, "my old man knew her."
It seemed that Ms.Fujimura wanted to enter the conversation."Kiritsugu knew her?" She questioned. "She came to visit Kiritsugu, then?" She surmised.
"That's right. She'll be living at my place for a while, so be nice to her." He told them.
This seemed to surprise them both, as Ms.Fujimura crossed the distance between them, and asked Shirou if they were 'Shacking up', much to Shirou's frustration.
But Sakura had other frustrations.
Was Shirou betraying her?
No, that couldn't be it.
His servant must be forcing Shirou to stay here.
She quickly began to form a plan. A plan in which was extremely high risk, but had the possibility of turning out well. And right now she didn't have too much leverage to go off of.
"Miss Fujimura," she spoke up. "Are you going to give your permission for her staying. Miss Fujimura?"
Fujimura began to think about it. "Uhhh, as a teacher, I have to say absolutely not."
Sakura smiled inwardly.
If she could just get this 'Saber' to not stay within Shirou's home, then the servant might be willing to sever her contract with Shirou and that would sever any involvement of her Senpai all together.
"… but I can't just turn away a girl who came here to see Kiritsugu." Fujimura reasoned. "Sure, why not?" She said, throwing all of Sakura's inner hopes out the window.
It wasn't long after that the food was ready, and they began eating.
The meal was eaten in silence, with the occasional pleased moan from both Miss Fujimura and Saber. And every so often, Sakura would give a silent glare towards Saber's direction.
After their meal, Shirou began taking care of the dishes.
"Fuji-nee! It's getting late, would you mind walking Sakura home?" Shirou requested. But she was seemingly enraptured by the television. "Fuji-nee!" He called out again. "Hello, did you hear me, Fujimura-Sensei?" He asked again.
"Sorry, request denied! I won't be able to walk Sakura home for a while" she told him.
"Why not?" He questioned.
And as she turned off the television and turned towards him, she answered him, "Because starting today, I'm going to be here too!"
"Come again?" He said surprised.
But Fujimura only turned towards Sakura and asked, "Care to join me, Sakura? I can call your folks, so don't worry." She offered
Meanwhile, she was inwardly ecstatic, "Yes! Please do!" She said, jumping at the chance to watch over her Senpai and look after him." I can always count on you, Fujimura-sensei!"
"Eh?" Shirou said in confusion.
But Fujimura ignored this and only pumped her fist high into the air and shouted, "Right! Let's use the room in the back. There are a lot of futons! You don't mind, do you, saber?" She asked.
But the blond girl only turned to Shirou, who could only sigh in defeat.
XXX
"There, all done!" Fujimura stated, as she laid out all the futons along the floor for her, Saber and Sakura. "Alright, why don't we head to sleep. We've got school tomorrow." She said as she clapped her hands together.
And as they all laid down to sleep, Sakura was left to contemplate her situation.
Shirou was a master within the 5th Holy Grail War. Did that mean that Shirou was also a magus?
Has Shirou been hiding it all this time? What other secrets was Shirou hiding?
Regardless, she couldn't allow Shirou to be involved in The Holy Grail War.
And so, in her final moments before she was lulled into a blissful sleep, she made a resolution.
She would protect her loved one… no matter what.
But she was unaware of the dream she would later have that night…
XXX
(Sakura's dream)
Where was she? What was she doing here?
Two figures could be seen walking at a sedate pace through what looked like to be a mix of both modern and ancient Japanese style architecture.
The first appeared to be an older man. He was a tall and well-built and had with waist-length, spiky white hair that was tied back into a ponytail. With two shoulder-length bangs framing his face. There were red lines under his eyes, and he had wrinkles around the corners of his mouth, with a wart on the left side of his nose.
He wore a strange getup, which consisted of a green short shirt kimono and matching pants, under which he wore mesh armor that is visible at his wrists and ankles. He also wore hand guards, a black belt, traditional Japanese wooden sandals, and a red haori with two yellow circles on each side. And atop his head was a horned metal headband with the kanji for "oil" on it.
But the second was far more noticeable.
His hair was as golden as the sun. He had tan skin, big blue eyes, and whisker-like marks across his face. He wore a peculiar, bright orange and black jumpsuit.
She realized he had seen him before… he was the boy she had seen in the alley.
Suddenly, the blonde boy stopped in the middle of the road, right in front of what appeared to be a large metal post.
In an impressive show of superhuman abilities, he was able to walk along the post and reach the top almost instantly.
The blonde observed the scenery, as he appeared to be in a large village with an even larger population. It seemed he was in some sort of shopping district, as there appeared to be many shops and vendors that sold various types of items. But one thing appeared to be a constant among the people, they all seemed to be happy.
There seemed to be a large mountain overlooking the village, with five large faces carved into the side.
He gave a slight chuckle as he observed the fifth face that had been newly carved along the mountain.
"Well isn't this nostalgic, the village hasn't changed a bit," the blonde mused, as he outstretched his arms. "I'm home, everyone, Naruto Uzumaki has returned to the hidden leaf village!" He shouted.
Naruto Uzumaki? So that was his name.
"Naruto! Naruto, is that you?" A girl shouted from below him.
"When did you get back, Naruto?" She questioned.
"Hmm, oh, just now." The now named 'Naruto' said, as he jumped down from his higher position. "It has been a while, hasn't it, Sakura?" He said, as he observed her closely.
Sakura? It was funny, their similar names, even if it was a coincidence.
Sakura appeared to be a young woman with fair skin, green eyes, and pink hair, which was styled in split bangs that showed off what some would call; 'a particularly big forehead.' She wore a red sleeveless top, a pink apron and black biker shorts, fingerless gloves and knee-high boots.
"It seems I've gotten taller than you," he pointed out.
She gave a small smile. "Yeah, I guess you have." As she eyed his changes, she put a finger to her cheek and asked cutely, "So, umm… so I look more like a woman now?"
Naruto laughed, "Nope." He said, as he turned and walked away.
Sakura, as she heard Naruto's comment, was left in a surprise induced stupor. But it didn't take long for her surprise to turn into righteous famine fury. As she stomped her way towards where Naruto headed.
"Now I wonder if I can stop to get some ichiraku's on the way to granny's" he muttered, as he searched for his favorite restaurant.
And it was pure instinct that he dodged the chakra enhanced fist that came barreling down at his head… and the second, and the third. It took 5 more attempts for Sakura to try to strike Naruto's cranium that Naruto finally ended up catching her wrist in place.
"Haruno, It's highly frowned upon to try and attack a comrade. Do I need to report to Lady Fifth about this? " He asked, as his eyes became icy cold and his tone became deadly serious.
Sakura was once again knocked into a surprise induced stupor.
And how could you blame her? It was clear that Naruto had changed in his time away. But she hadn't expected her teammate to change this much in her time away.
"No… you don't." She said bashfully, as she shook herself out of her surprise, although she wasn't fully successful.
Naruto's lips thinned."Okay then," he said, as he walked away. And she only barely heard him mutter about heading to Ichiraku's.
She, along with the trio of genin accompanying her, only continued to stare at the blonde in shock.
None of them noticed the perpetual frown that adorned the older man's face right next to them.
End Chapter.
AN: And that's the end of the chapter. Not too long, only 3k words, and I got this done fairly quickly.
I went over some of the canon scenes and brought up some not so canon scenes.
I do realize that Shirou skipped school the day Sakura met saber, but I decided to take some creative liberties with the story for entertainment values.
There were a few flashbacks. The first was just to go over the canon scene with Shinji (I didn't really know how to go over that well without it being a flashback), and the second was another canon scene (but in Naruto), but with some slight changes. I plan on finishing the Naruto scene next chapter with a few twists.
Like I said, I don't plan on there being too many flashbacks, but there will be some. (I don't really count that scene with Shinji as being a flashback).
Next chapter: Will be mostly one with Sakura. And we'll go over just where Sakura was during the canon events of UBW.
Question: What are your thoughts on this story so far? And do you have any suggestions for the future of this story?
