Beths POV
I was about to leave when I heard deans voice
"Where are you going"
"Out I have something to do"
In reality I had a drop with rio and the girls and if I was late again more than likely rio would kill me
"No you stay here we need to talk"
"Dean I have something to do and I can't be late"
"NO YOUR STAYING HERE"
He quickly got up and stomped over to me and arm with a lot of strength and force
"Dean your drunk let go of me"
"No your staying here with Mr understood"
I tried to fight out of his grip but surprisingly he's stronger than he looks but struggling made him angry he started to clench his hands on my upper arms tighter
"Stop moving bitch"
"Dean please your hurting me let go"
He let go of one of my arms and raised his hand he brought it back down with such force the sound of a slap resounded through the house he just kept smacking me over and over with the same force I could taste blood i felt my eye swelling and the feel the tears streaming down my face then he stopped I didn't know what was going on he then yanked me tour room what the hell is he doing
"Dean please just let go of me!"
"Shut up you stupid cunt"
We entered our room and he threw me on the bed oh God please don't be what I think this is he closed and locked the door I tried to get off the bed but I felt him grab my leg I tried to scream and kick I wish the kids weren't home they have probably heard this whole thing I felt him get on top of me and start to kiss my neck he held my arms and legs down so I couldn't move if I tried to fight he hit me hard with all his strength so I cried and pleaded but he didnt listen he continued I don't know how long it went on or if I ever stopped crying but it finally ended I layed there wrapped in my blanket while Dean got dressed and left I didn't know what to do I just layed in bed my whole body hurt it hurt to move it hurt to cry im covered in bruises and blood and s3m3n I layed there until I heard footsteps at my door at first I thought it was Dean coming back for more but the footsteps were to tiny when I looked at the door I saw Kenny standing there scared
"Mom are you okay"
"Yeah baby just daddy had a bit much to drink"
"Are you sure you sounded really scared"
"Yeah what's up love"
"That man with the neck tattoo is here"
I froze crap the drop I was in to much pain to move at the moment so I did something I wish I never had to
"Kenny hunny go into moms closet and grab the black bag on the ground"
"Okay"
He dissapeared behind the corner then popped back out holding the bag with both his hands
"Now I need you to take that to moms friend downstairs and please don't tell him about anything that happened last night okay"
"Alright ill be right back"
"Okay darling"
Kenny left and ai heard him walking away until I couldn't hear his footsteps anymore I then layed back down and wished that last night was just a nightmare
Kenny's POV
I walked down the stairs with the bag my mom told me to im still worried about her she looked really beat up and she sounded like she was being really hurt last night I shook those thoughts out of my head mom said not to worry when I reached the living room I saw moms friend playing with Jane and Emma when I walked in holding the bag he looked at me surprised I set the bag down on the floor
"Mom said give this to you"
"Where she at?"
"Busy"
"Busy hm doin what little man?"
Mom said not to tell him so I wasnt going to but then the front door opened and closed all of kids froze and moms friend Rose his eyebrow Emma and Jane took him to where our dad wouldn't see him while Danny and I turn on the TV we could tell he was drunk again he's been drinking a lot for some reason Danny was a scared because it scared us all last night when we heard our mom screaming but we couldn't do anything
"Where is she"
"...upstairs"
He nodded then left up the stairs i contemplated on going up the stairs or not but I was brought out of my thoughts by Jane Emma and moms friend enter the room again the four of us stood there scared there might be more screaming
"Well I should go since your dad's home"
He started to make his wag to the door we all stood there for a minute then as the oldest I made a decision that mom might not like but the three of them needed to get out of the house
"Sir"
He turned to me with his eyebrow raised
"Do you mind taking them to the park for awhile"
I gave him my best smile and I hope he says yes because I don't want them to hear what I'm sure coming
"Shouldn't you ask your mother and she probably wouldn't like this"
I heard a thud from upstairs oh no
"She's okay with it please"
I gave him a pleading smile he was still very confused but agreed I quickly got all my siblings in there shoes and we got outside
"Brother will mommy be okay"
"I promise I'll protect her janey"
"Okay"
I hugged my sisters and brothers goodbye and watched as now called rio let them into his car
"I still don't think your mama would like me taking her kids especially without her"
"Again it will be fine please take care of them and you can bring them back in about an hour"
"Okay kid"
Rio left with mybsibling to the park I know it was probably stupid to trust this man but right now they needed to be out of the and good thing too because when I went back in I heard my mom crying again this time I was going to help her I ran up the stairs as fast as I could when I entered there room I saw my dad had mom by her hair and doing something I don't know and don't care but he was hurting her she was crying and bruised and bloody
"LEAVE MY MOM ALONE"
I ran at him and tackled him I started to punch him but I could do much he easily threw me off he started to hit me but mom got in the way again and they started to scream at eachother dad more than mom than dad started to hit mom I tried tonintervine again but just got thrown to the side they fought for a moment then I saw a blur run past me and tackled my dad when I looked to see who it was I saw rio hitting my dad repeatedly I slowly got up and made my way to my mom I grabbed her robe of the door and helped her into it and then helped her out of the room when we got downstairs Emma Jane and Danny were sitting and watching TV huddled together I took my mom to the kitchen we sat down and I tatted to wipe off some of the blood
"I'm sorry you have me as a mother Kenny I can't even protect you"
"Hey mom no it's not your fault it's dads I love that your my mom"
She smiled through her tears Ithen hugged her lightly and then continued to clean her wounds up a but I was brought away from that by my dad literally being thrown down the stares when he reached the bottom a bag was thrown at him then I saw rio decend the stairs
"YOU EVER FUCKING COME BAXK ILL KILL YOU"
My dad scurried out of the house like a mouse about to be eaten by a cat then I watched rio turn his attention over to my mom and I he had anger sadness and worry in his facial expressions he slowly made his way iver to us my mom was looking at the ground
"How long"
His voice was even but you could hear the anger in it also what was he talking about I was confused
"Rio it doesn't matter"
"HOW FUCKING LONG HAS HE BEEN BEATONG YOU BETH"
what that was the first time right it had to have been we would've noticed if it wasn't right
"Menny go sit with your siblings"
"But mom"
"Please"
I nodded and left the kitchen and went and sat with my sisters and brother and enjoyed the TV I couldn't hear what they were saying in the kitchen though
Beth's POV
I watchedbas Kenny walked away then looked back at the ground I couldn't bare to face rio right now he seemed mad
"Beth how fucking long has that ass been smacking you around"
I've never told anyone not even Annie or ruby hell even my kids didn't know I looked up to him with tears falling from my eyes
"I don't remember exactly when it started but I know it was before danny"
"Mama why did you tell me I would've helpdd"
"Well he hasn't done it in a long time and I didn't think you would care"
Rio stood there for a moment then moved closer to me he used his index finger and lifted my chin
"Believe or not I would have cared quite a but"
I cracked a small smile
"This was the worst time he...he took what wasn't his"
"What do you mean mama?"
I whispered to him what Dean had done when I moved back rio had a very dark expression on his face he then pulled out his phone and called someone
"Mick I have a job for you"
"I want you to kill Mr,Boland"
"Wait rio you can't the children need a father"
"Ill explain later and I don't care how nut make it painful really fucking painful"
Rio hung up his phone and then looked at me his gaze went from angry to I don't know what in a split second
"Fine since I'm killing there father ill take that role"
"But what if they don't want you and what if they miss dean"
"Okay let's ask"
"Okay"
The two of us moved to the living room where the kids were I sat down on a chair while rio stood in front of the kids
"Alright here's the deal your dad ain't coming back got a problem with that?"
"No"
"Nope"
"Nada"
"Not at all"
"Okay and second do you care if I take upon that roll?"
All the children looked at eachother than started jumping up and down really excited rio looked at me with a smirk I shook my head and thought maybe he's possesed first he beat the shit out of my husband now ex or dead I don't know now he wants to be here all the time what is going through this man's head
It was later and I wanted to clean off Dean and what he had done but I was to weak and hurt to do it myself and I didn't want to call Annie or ruby I went to rio who was with the kids in the living room playing games I geuss he was serious about this whole 'ill take the role of there father' shtick I limped in and stood there for a second until he noticed me
"What's up mama?"
"I would like to shower but..."
I looked down and away from him because this is really embarrassing what's more is Kenny spoke up
"Go help mom ill take care of these three"
"Thanks little man"
Rio stood up and helped me upstairs to my bathroom and then started the shower he then undressed me and helped me sit in the tub and started to clean my wounds and everything else there was nothing sexual about it he was just helping I like this side of rio its nice I would wince every once in awhile when he hit a really sensitive bruise or cut but other than that it went by pretty smoothly after we were done he helped me dress then we put thenkids to bed and then went to my room
"Mama is it okay if I slept in here? If not it's okay"
"No you can it's alright"
He took off his shoes and shirt then layed down I then layedndown next to him we soon fell asleep it was quiet and I liked it and I was surprised by how comfortable I was having rio here
It's been a couple of days since then and we've fell into a rhythm the kids haven't had school because it's a break so we would wake up and rio would make breakfast insane I know but he's not a half bad cook and right now I still can't do much so I let rip help with what he wants which is everything today was like the past couple we all woke up and rio was currently making some waffles eggs bacon and biscuits and gravey the kids and I were sitting at the counter watching him we were all surprised he knew how to cook and it was intriguing to watch
"Hes a good cook mom"
"He is I like having him around should we keep him guys?"
"Yeah"
"Yay we get to see rio all time now"
"Woohoo"
I chuckled at my children I don't know what he did to win iver there affection but my kids love him and I'm starting to feel the same we all watched as rio made breakfast I didn't even realize that my front door opened and closed until I heard Annie speak
"What is the fuck"
I turned around to see Annie Sadie ruby Sarah and Harry they both gasped right inwas still bruised I saw rio had paused and was watching carefully I turn back to my niece and nephews
"Hey why don't you guys help Kenny Emma Jane and Danny set the table for when we eat your parents and ai have to talk"
The kids all nodded then all the kids left out of sight then Annie started speaking again
"First off beth what the hell happened to you fave are you okay and second what the fuck is he doing here"
"Yeah Beth what happened and why is he here"
I sighed and was about to speak but rio got therebbefore me
"They don't know about dean?"
"You really think I'm telling them that"
"True they would probably kill him"
Rio chuckled to himself then continued to cook breakfast I turned to Annie and ruby who were greatly confused right now
"Some stiff happened and I was having trouble rio helped and now hes staying here and helping with the kids"
"What about Dean what does he think he can't like this"
"Yeah where is deansie"
"Caspers gone and ain't ever comin back now I have to go feed the kids enjoy sisterly time"
Rio said as he kissed my cheek and went into the dinning room with the kids Annie and ruby watched him stunned then turned back to me
"What the hell does he mean Dean is gone!"
"Dean left a few days and isn't coming back"
"Oh shit Beth I'm sorry you could have come to us you didn't have to go to him"
Beth chuckled then looked at where rio just went then back at Annie and ruby
"He helped me"
Beth got up and went to the dining room with all the kids leaving Annie and ruby stunned she let him into her because he helped her had she lost her mind
Maybe she did but right now she didn't care she also didn't care if at the moment rio was loosing his mind she enjoyed having him around and loved that the kids loved him so much they all sat and enjoyed breakfast everyone was happy minus the two stunned women
