A/N am I making you hate Obi? sorry (not sorry)
Anakin woke up in the halls of healing, nearly a week later.
and had been greeted by a sobbing, barley coherent Obi Wan who would stop apologizing over...
well, he didn't know.
wait-
waaaaaait-
wasnt-
hadnt-
why was he-
hadn't Obi Wan been...
dead?
Anakin looked down at the bandages covering him.
well, it all couldn't've been a dream...
but then...
why was Obi Wan here...?
Anakin scoffed. it was had to make sense of anything when one had a arm full of sobbing jedi master.
"Anakin, I'm so sorry- how can you ever forgive me- I just- I-I-"
"Master, you didn't do anything and... weren't you dead?"
Obi Wan just cried harder. after a Moment or two, Mace walked in.
"Obi Wan, I know you feel very bad- would you mind if I explain the... situation to Anakin?"
"He'll hate me!" Cried Obi Wan, leaving in tears.
Anakin, completely perplexed, peered curiously at Mace.
"Skywalker, I'll be honest. weather or not you go home knowing what happened won't change a thing. it's all over the holo news anyway. so the question is: do you want to find out the muddled version on how you master is alive from unreliable holo net reporters, or though me. it doesnt have to be right now anyways."
"from you; now."
"Ok."
Anakin was broken.
broken, and so very hurt.
everything hurt. and he had to tell Ahaoka why they were no longer talking to master kenobi.
but... that could wait.
.Obi Wan had completely and utterly broken- no- disintegrated Anakins trust in him.
sure he felt sorry.
but he'd broken somthign between them the moment he decided to take on the mission.
it was one of those things that couldn't be fixed.
Anakin hated hardeen.
and hardeen was Obi Wan.
After that, Anakin avoided Obi Wan. every time seeing him made memories come- memories he didn't want to relive.
Obi- Hardeen kept trying to talk with him, and eventually Anakin did something he regretted. He had been practicing forms with a training saber, when O- Hardeen came up behind him. he didn't remeber much, just that next thing he knew, he had his real lightsaber hovering inches away from O- Hardeen's neck.
Anakin scoffed at the memory.
at least he stopped.
Nothing would ever be the same.
and nothing was.
Anakin looked at Palpatine, one night, eyes broken. "You are the only one I can trust." Anakin shuttered, "Ahsoka left- there is no reason for me to stay in the order... the order is corrupt. there must be change. the order does not protect its own members."
Palpatine inwardly smiled, at these words. he knew exactly what Anakin was thinking of. "They do not trust you." he started. "Join me, and together we can rule the galaxy. We can change the order. Join me, as you will never lose someone you care for again." There was another button. his mother. "I have always been a loyal friend, have I not?"
Anakin nodded slowly, then gasped, "You're... the sith lord!"
Palpatine smiled, "I am... Join me, and we can rule the galaxy together! remake the jedi order under our rule! make things how we want them to be!"
"I... I vow myself to your teachings, my lord."
Palpatine smiled, "A powerful sith, you will become!" Palpatine boomed, "Rise, Lord Vader, And fulfill you destiny!"
Anakin nodded, standing.
"We shall take them by suprise. You will go to the jedi temple. Show no mercy! and peace... will be restored..."
"Yes, my master."
