In Utah, there is a number of ghost towns. People believe they are just old mining towns. Well, that's what they're led to believe. There are a few places that holds a number of dark secrets. This town here is named Hertown. It was one of many in possession of one cruel minded man. In a mind game he played with a young girl, he had a will set up to where if she ended his life, she would inherent everything from him. And she did. But the cost was unbearable.
Barking filled the air as a large nose nearly toppled the woman over./span/p

"All right! I'll stop the sad monolog! Yeesh."
Pushing the horse, Goliath, away, she readjusted her clothing. Patting down her belt, glock and blade are still there. "My name is Jen," fill the buckets with pellets, grain and oats. "I am 22 and a half," chop up the carrots. "I got proof of Mom's lies and sent the proof to Da. Just recently came back from a good trip to Death Valley,"

"So why," pull the lever, "am I still beyond pissed!?" The line started moving, bringing the buckets around the corner. "I should be happy!"
A minor stampede later and all 14 equines had their heads stuffed in their food. Rubbing Cain's head, she headed to one of the spare sheds she turned into a feeding station. "Take your seats, my puppies. It shan't be a few minutes."

Leaving the dogs chowing down, she stepped back outside. 'Looks like overcast tonight. Better remember to set the lampposts tonight.' Anger washing down, numbness took hold. Breathe in. 'Of course, emotions are quite complex. Nothing about the brain is simple. I practically lived with a group of therapists for a year before I could decide to do something myself.' Breathe out. 'And it took six years before I stopped seeing that man in the corner of my vision all the time.' "Woof!"

Jerking in surprise, Jen looked down to see her bloodhound mouthing her boot before tugging. "Beacon, don't. No taking my boot. Beacon, no, stop ACK!" Beacon bounded off with a boot in his mouth. "Get back here Beacon! Chompy, No! No eating that scorpion! Quick Stitch, don't go on the electric fence! CAIN!"

Just as the sun has disappeared beneath the horizon, Jen has finished her daily chores. All equines were stalled for the night. After removing the harnesses and bags, the dogs had their short trot around the main buildings to ensure nothing was lurking about.

"Come along my puppies. Get inside. I'm going to play Jak and Daxter for a bit before lights out." It was currently her main point of interest. Always running through her head when it was a free moment.
Lock the door, boots off, belt on the side table. Plopping down on her giant pillow, dogs doing the same in their own beds, Jen booted up the game system. Skipping the intro with a ship flying through the wastelands, she immediately went into fighting the way through the ruins. This is a much favored and hated part of the game. Jak gets a mission with his father, only to lose him to one with an inflated, bald ego. "If only," she muttered, "I would definitely change things."

Just as the cutscene of the explosion came on, the dogs scrambled to their paws, snarling. Bolting up, Jen noticed the air felt off. Stiff, smelling like ozone. The explosion played on the screen, the car went flying and . . . people? came hurtling from the screen. She has been in the path of flying people before, but this time, it honestly felt like getting smacked by a boulder. It was simply by chance of not smacking the back of her skull on the floor. Pulling herself out from beneath, dogs right by her side, Jen took stock of whatever it was in front of her.
Yep. People. It would make more sense if they came crashing through the wall and through the tv. But no, nothing is damaged aside the scuffed floor. Seeing movement, Jen snatched the gun and readied herself.

One question though, why do they look like Jak and Damas?

A huge, huge thank you to chobits15 for listening to all I had to say while planning this one. Be sure to check out their Deviantart account loveangel15 to see the pictures of the horses they have designed and more. The pictures of Familiar face, new places and I stand alone will be Jen's main look.

Also, I have multiple pictures on my Deviantart account, BonnieKF, as well that will help give a better view, such as a few maps
