Sofia - Anniversary
Summary: Cedric realized that it was the anniversary of the day that Sofia became his friend so he decided to some special, but what?
When Cedric woke up this morning he had a weird feeling that something was going to happen to today, but he wasn't sure what it was as he ready for the day.
As he went about his normal routine, glancing at the calendar, he saw the date and that is when he remembers, that today was the anniversary of the day Sofia and he became friends.
"I must get her a gift, but what? She is a princess, she simply get anything she wants, it must be perfect." Cedric said thinking about she might like, but nothing came to mind, so he decided to turn to the one thing that might give him the answers, books.
Time seems to fly away as a knock to his workshop shop startles Cedric out of his reading, annoyed he opens it only to find Sofia standing there smiling at him.
"Hi Mr. Cedric, I have a surprise for you, come with me." she said taking his hand and leading him outside to Castle gardens, where she had picnic set up.
It had all of his favorite foods, drinks and to make it more interesting it was all set up on a rather large flying carpet.
"I talked with your Mom and Dad asking what were favorite foods and as well drinks, Happy Friendiversary, Cedric, do you like it?" Sofia asked
Cedric was looks at what the girl Made for him, and signs sadly saying, "I don't deserve you."
Sofia frowns, "Why do you say that Mr. Cedric?"
"Because I don't have anything to give you, I wanted to give you something that symbolized our friendship, something you always remember about me." He said looking depressed.
Sofia thought about it, smiles and looks to Cedric asking, "Do you a glass ball?"
Confused Cedric nods, if possible Sofia smiles even wider as she said, "Let's go back to your workshop?"
"But what the picnic?" He asked.
"Don't worry it will follow us inside, now come on." Sofia said insistently.
So Cedric follows Sofia back inside the castle and up the stairs to his workshop, he had tried to get her to tell him, but she remained tight lipped about it until they were at the table were his spirit orb sat, it was joke gift from Roland years ago as part of a Wassalia's gift exchange, he kept it as a paper weight on his desk.
Grabbing it off his desk, Sofia puts on the small table that he usually for his potions making.
"Have you heard the saying, that Memories are the one thing we treasure the most." Sofia states.
Cedric nods not quite understanding what Sofia was getting at, at first, but then it quickly dawned on him and he quickly set to work on the orb.
Sofia goes to where the picnic was now sitting and prepares a few plates of food, nipping on a sandwich until Cedric was done, he walks over to Sofia presenting the Orb to her.
"To view any memory you want just tap on the orb until you find the one you want, Happy Friendiversary Sofia, you have made this lonely man's dismal life a little brighter, go ahead and tap it I also put something else you might like."
Curious Sofia taps it and music starts to play.

By the end Sofia was shedding tears of joy as she hugged Cedric tightly and for once he didn't awkward about it as he returns the gesture wholeheartedly.
