Chapter 3
Back with Ashnard, he saw that Gilthunder and Izuka returned to him. Ashnard was a little bit concerned about the feelings of Gilthunder and Izuka, though. He decided to ask them a few questions. Shockingly, He got surprising answers from the both of them. But the answer that really angered him was the disobedience of Gilthunder, with him not keeping an eye on Arthur Pendragon. Even worse, Ashnard was informed that he and those who had saved him were returning to the Camelot kingdom.
"Boo-hoo, Ashnard." a talking harp said. "Arthur Pendragon, king of the Kingdom of Camelot, is coming back. Just boo-hoo…"
"He will be coming back for death, harp. Thank you very much for that remark, though." Ashnard said to the talking harp.
"You are very much welcome." thanked the talking harp. Gilthunder wondered about the harp and where the army got it from. The Black Knight, one of Ashnard's highest ranking generals of the Daein army, answered that they just found it in a dungeon somewhere in the Camelot castle.
"I see…" Gilthunder said.
"So, what are our plans for killing Arthur?" ked Pellegarde. "Magical fire? Or perhaps hanging? What?"
"Possibly hanging, but I have an even funnier method of torture." Ashnard said.
"What is it?" asked Petrine. "I stab him with my magical Flame Lance?"
"Wrong, Petrine." Ashnard said. "And that's not even funny. And it's just a basic killing method. I have decided to treat him like a dead pig and I am going to act like I am cooking him like pork! Weeeheeheehee!"
"Sounds humorous to us, Ashnard." said Bryce.
"Hold it right there." Ashnard said to Bryce. "It may be humorous to us, but we'll just have to see the reaction on the faces of whoever is coming here."
As Bryce and Ashnard continued to speak with each other about Arthur's execution method, two members of Goldoa's Dragon Tribe Laguz came into the room to see the mad king. The girl, a Red Dragon hybrid named Ena, and her grandfather Nasir, a full-blooded White Dragon, were being kept as slaves for the king, which meant that they were being forced to work for him and the people keeping the golden swan and the golden fiddle.
"Dragon Laguz, eh?" the talking harp asked itself. "Hah! Kind of peculiar if you ask me…"
"Not." Ashnard said to the harp. "Not peculiar."
"King Ashnard of Daein, we have completed our task." Nasir said.
"Perfect." Ashnard said. "How about this next job I am about to give you. Find Arthur Pendragon. You know, amber hair and violet eyes?"
"Uh, I think we know what you are talking about…" Ena said to the king.
"You better know what the hell I am talking about, Ena." Ashnard said. "Now go! And do not return until you have Arthur Pendragon!" Ena and Nasir then ran to find him. However, they had a plan up their sleeves. It was a plan to get away from Ashnard.
"What are we going to do, Nasir?" Ena asked. "I never asked to be a slave to those people!"
"I know, Ena. But don't worry. We'll find a way to get away from them." Nasir said.
"How?"
"Allow me to explain." Nasir said. He then explained everything, saying that when they find Arthur Pendragon, they would seek help from those who had rescued him and betray Ashnard.
"So, we are betraying Ashnard?" Ena asked.
"Yes. Precisely." Nasir said. "Let's go." Ena and Nasir then headed off on their adventure.
Meanwhile, with Greil and his mercenaries, as well as Meliodas, Hawk, Hawk Mama, Diane, King, and Arthur Pendragon, they were on the hunt for Ban, the Fox's Sin of Greed. However, they were also on the hunt for Merlin, another one of the Sins, classified as the Boar's Sin of Gluttony. However, they were nowhere to be found, until Greil found something going on in the town square of Liones.
"People!" Ban said to everyone. "Britannia has been overrun with outsiders of evil! These outsiders are on the hunt for Arthur Pendragon, king of Camelot! We must defeat these outsiders!" Everyone cheered for Ban. Then, Merlin, the Boar's Sin of Gluttony, noticed Arthur.
"Arthur!" Merlin said. "It's seriously you!"
"Yeah, you can bet that I am okay, but there's only one problem." Arthur said.
"What is it?" Ban asked.
"I am still being hunted by these guys." Arthur said.
"This is terrible indeed, Arthur." Merlin said.
"But no worries, though. I have help from all my friends and some new ones I encountered." Arthur said to Merlin. But when Merlin noticed Greil and his mercenaries, as well as the laguz changelings, things got heated up with everyone until Greil stepped in.
"You are outsiders, I suppose?" Merlin asked.
"We may be outsiders, but we are here to help. Not to torture you people." Greil said. Merlin did not believe a single word Greil said.
"Excuse me, you should know that we rescued Arthur Pendragon from his exile and captivity, and now we are trying to get his kingdom back from the Mad King Ashnard, who was from our world. And now he's keeping a swan and a talking fiddle captive in Camelot." Ike said to Merlin.
"Really?" Merlin asked. She then asked Ban if he was aware of this going on.
"No." Ban answered. "But Gowther and Escanor were aware of this." Mist then stated that it didn't make sense on how they were alerted about the swan and the fiddle.
"Darn it." Tibarn said.
"Yeah, Tibarn." Ranulf said. "You're the one to blame for everything if it were not for your female servant."
"Ugh, Ranulf…" Tibarn said. "What have I said to you?"
"Never mind…" Ranulf said. "I'm not even going to bother with anyone." Meliodas then asked Merlin and Ban if they knew where Escanor, the Lion's Sin of Pride, and Gowther, the Goat's Sin of Lust, were. Ban then said that they were in the Kingdom of Camelot.
"Already?!" Greil asked. "Sheesh. That must mean we are getting closer to our destination."
"Not necessarily, Commander Greil." Soren said.
"Why not, Soren?" Greil asked. "Is there something wrong?"
"Yes, indeed." Janaff responded to Greil, speaking up for Soren. "You see, there is something going on in the distance with feral tiger laguz, from what I saw with my great eyes. Unfortunately, they are headed straight for us." Ike then ran off to kill the feral tiger laguz.
"Come back here, Ike!" Greil said. "You will be confined to the quarters if you do not return to me!" Then, Meliodas noticed Gowther and Escanor in the distance. Meliodas wondered if they were in trouble.
"HELP US! ANYBODY HELP US!" Gowther yelled out loud. A feral tiger laguz then roared.
"Holy mackerel of Britannia!" Escanor said. "We need to do something about this!" He then noticed Meliodas and Ike.
"Give it up!" Ike said to the six feral tiger laguz.
"How are we going to deal with these feral ones?" Meliodas asked.
"Watch this, Meliodas." Ike said. He then had Meliodas watch as he took down a feral tiger laguz.
"Stop right there, sir!" a Britannia Holy Knight said. Ike then grabbed his face, and apparently decided to crack the skull. Blood then landed on Ike in the aftermath. Greil then shouted his son's name, and decided to run over to both Meliodas and Ike.
"This is terrible… Just terrible…" Escanor said. "Tigers killed."
"Were they… evil?" Gowther asked himself.
"They were feral ones." Greil said.
"What?!" Escanor asked.
"They were FERAL ONES!" Greil hollered again. Both Escanor and Gowther were confused. That was when Escanor, the Lion's Sin of Pride, asked what Feral Ones were. Greil then explained what the laguz changelings were first, starting off the conversations of the Feral Ones. But, as the conversation started to build up, feral ones were brought up. Then, the explanation about the topic of a Feral One was complete.
"So… they stay in their animal forms permanently?" Gowther asked.
"Yeah. They do." Greil said.
"So, are we going to continue our adventure?" Ike asked.
"We'd better do so before the sun sets." Greil said. Then, he heard the shouts of a woman.
"What was that?" Ranulf asked.
"Sounded like a woman, Ranulf." Soren said. "What else would it be? A screaming maniac being eaten alive by a ferocious dragon?"
"Come to think of it, there's a girl right there… and she looks familiar." Meliodas said as he looked at the woman. "Wait a second… ELIZABETH!" He knew it was the princess of Liones, Elizabeth.
"Sir Meliodas!" Elizabeth Liones yelled. "Help me!" Meliodas then went to help Elizabeth, who was being held by a feral Red Dragon laguz.
As Meliodas approached the feral dragon laguz, he decided to hold up his sword and point it to the dragon's face. This prompted Elizabeth to be dropped to the ground; she was later wounded in the aftermath of the fall. This was when Ike stepped into help.
"What happened?" the hawk laguz Ulki later asked.
"I don't know…" Tibarn said. "Meliodas! What happened?"
"Elizabeth may be wounded." Meliodas said. "Mist, you said you were a cleric, right? Can you heal Elizabeth?"
"And can you make it quick before it turns into an open wound?" Elizabeth asked.
"Yes!" Mist exclaimed. "With my Mend staff, I shall use this opportunity as a cleric to heal the kindhearted of outsiders!" She then healed Elizabeth.
"Thanks…" Elizabeth said cheerfully while shedding tears of happiness."
"Aww, there's no need to cry, Elizabeth!" Mist said. "Oh, my name's Mist. And these are my friends. We are apart of the Greil Mercenaries! Well, some of us are, anyways."
"Mist and her family and friends are here to save Britannia from whoever has the golden swan and golden fiddle." Meliodas said.
"Uh, excuse me, Meliodas, it was the Mad King of Daein who has those two things." Shinon said.
"Shinon! Attitude, please!" Greil exclaimed.
"Sorry, Commander Greil." Shinon said.
"No problem. Just don't tease Meliodas again." Greil said. "Now let's go. There's a swan and fiddle in danger from Ashnard." He later asked Elizabeth if she wanted to join the group. Greil then assumed that Elizabeth had powers of some kind.
"Well… not really…" Elizabeth said.
"Come on, surely you must have powers." Ike said.
"...I have an idea." Gatrie said. "On the way to Camelot, why don't you tell us about yourself. Just the parts you know."
"Uh, Gatrie, she's a reincarnation of the Goddess Elizabeth. The 107th reincarnation, that is." Meliodas said.
"Are you kidding me?" Gatrie asked. "I want this girl off of you." Gatrie later said to Meliodas.
"Uh… no way! It's no, no, no, no, no! That's five no's." Meliodas exclaimed. "I'm her love interest."
"Yeah, we probably should not be getting into any arguments." Diane said.
"Oh! I see all the Sins are reunited for this adventure!" Elizabeth said excitedly.
"Yup." King said. "All of us are here, and we are helping out the Greil Mercenaries on this adventure."
"And I see you have Arthur here, too!" Elizabeth said. "But… wait… I thought you were in Camelot…" Elizabeth later said to Arthur.
"Actually, I was. And then those people from an outside world exiled me to Liones, and I was kidnapped by Hendrickson and Gilthunder." Arthur explained.
"Is that what really happened?" Soren asked. "Damn…"
"And now we have to rid this land of feral ones and evil outsiders for you guys." Greil said. "We either have to kill them or send them back to our world."
"What continent are you guys from?" Meliodas asked Greil.
"Yeah. You clearly never told us." Ban said. "Because we as good guys would love to visit you guys one day."
"We are from the continent of Tellius." Ike said. "Home of the beorc and shape-shifting laguz. Just don't call the beorc 'humans', Ban."
"Why not?" Meliodas asked. "Is it offensive where you guys are from?"
"Believe it or not, the word 'human' is an offensive term for the beorc people." Greil said. "And why I am cringing, I don't even know."
"Because you are saying the word human, Greil." Titania said.
"Oops." Greil said. "Well, I think it's time to move forward. Let's go, everyone!"
"Hey, wait for me and Arthur!" Meliodas hollered at Greil as the rest of the group went on without him and Arthur Pendragon. They later went to catch up to Greil and his friends and family. The adventure was just about to continue.
