A stone said to bring good health and keep someone safe. Honestly, all Kija can think of is Granny, who promised to stay alive to welcome him home some day, however far away that time ends up being.
If there was a way to give something to her, like an "I'm doing alright and hope you are too gift."
Just how to get something like that to her? Kija blinks the reflection away in time to buy the gift. The hows can always be figured out later, and besides aren't they always running into merchants from the White Dragon Village anyway?
A trustworthy merchant would deliver it to her just well, and would know exactly who she is too. But a gift with no words is missing something, so Kija grabs paper and a pencil anyway.
His claw gets in the way of everything like this, so he uses his opposite hand. It's supposed to be a little letter with a little explanation of the longevity gemstone, but stretches well over three pages anyway.
"Dear Granny, It's been ages, hasn't it? I'm doing well, and have seen so much more of the world than I ever expected. There are no words to describe it all. I hope you are well; I miss you, but I'm not sad. Don't worry. The Princess is absolutely incredible!"
Included are just a brief bit of Kija's excited letter that hopefully with the necklace will reassure Granny and leave her smiling.
