Chapter 14: "trip to Kyoto"
"Allright, can't wait for this trip...sucks Sona and Ravel can't come." Sky said.
"Neither can Koneko, Gasper, or Ruruko, but them's the brakes I guess." Saji replied.
"Oh don't mope, Saji-kun. I'm here for you." Momo spoke as she grabbed his hand.
"Hehe, man Saji, you grew up since the Wasteland." Sky said.
"Ara ara, that sure will be fun." Akeno could be heard saying.
"Wait... I thought that only second-years could be on the trip." Momo spoke.
"...dammit, I only just remembered that a few third-year students are filling in for teachers because some of them got food poisoning and are in the hospital for the entirety of the trip. Akeno Himejima, Kiyome Abe, Tsubaki Shinra, and this girl named Yamada Shonako are going to chaperone in place of those teachers." Saji replied.
"At least some of our friends will be with us." Gasper said.
"Yea little buddy." Sky said.
"Serafall will be over in Kyoto as well, but she'll be on official business, so don't expect any magical girl stuff from her. Also, Rossweisse is now a teacher and will be going on the trip." Sona stated.
"I wonder how this trip will turn out." Akeno said.
"C'mon guys let's have fun eh?" Sky replied.
"Sure, but let's try to keep that fun relatively orderly." Rossweisse spoke as she led everyone that would be going on the trip to the train station, where a Shinkansen was waiting.
"Huh...whose that?" Sky asked Sona.
"I think you mean what, Sky. That is a Shinkansen, also known in English as a Bullet Train. It is a high-speed rail network that goes all over Japan. They are quite safe as there have been no fatalities or injuries onboard for over fifty years." Sona answered.
"Wow, still new to this universe honey." Sky said, getting on the train.
"Have fun, my boyfriend." Sona replied as she headed back to Kuoh Academy.
A hand started to rub soothing circles into Sky's back, easing his motion sickness. He turned his head to see that Rossweisse was the one doing it.
"Thanks...not used to bullet trains..." Sky said feeling a bit better.
"You're welcome, Sky-kun. We'll be entering Kyoto Station in about five minutes." Rossweisse replied.
"Thank goodness..." Sky said unknown to the Group there was a cloaked figure watching them.
"So that's Akashiya? He'll be a perfect husband for her." They said.
Four minutes and thirty-five seconds later, the Shinkansen stopped at Kyoto Station. Rossweisse then asked Kiyome, "What is our itinerary?"
"We're supposed to head for the Kyoto Sirzechs Hotel and assign rooms to the students there. We will be visiting the Kyoto Tower on the way there since it's right outside the station." Kiyome replied.
"Alright let's go everyone." Akeno said.
"She's gonna like this the entire trip isn't she?" Sky asked.
"Yep." Kiba said.
Issei stepped off the train along with Asia, Reya, Katase, Murayama, Tsubaki, Xenovia, and Irina, one of his arms being held by Asia and the other one being held by Reya. "Wow, someone sure is popular." Aika remarked at the group of girls around Issei.
"Yea, ever since that "Trip" I've changed for the better." Issei said.
"Oh look, the Kyoto Tower!" Katase squealed in excitement.
"Reminds me of something, oh yea, in New Vegas." Sky said, remembering that time.
"Oh because of the Hoover Dam and other things?" Kiba asked.
"Yep, almost got killed over a coin, a Coin!" Sky said.
A few minutes passed by before Rossweisse tensed up and then said, "We're being watched, but something's odd. Whoever or whatever is watching us is keeping their distance. They aren't coming any closer to us."
"Umm Sky, why do you have a pipe pistol?" Kiba asked, noticing him reaching for his gun.
"Watch." Sky answered
Sky reaches for a makeshift pipe pistol and shoots at the figure and everyone tensed up.
The bullet from the pistol passed right through the figure without any anything being pierced. "An optical illusion. If that had been real, it would have bled and swore." Kiba stated.
"Quite perceptive, Devil boy." a male voice replied. Kiba turned to see a humanoid bird figure wearing Shinto robes. It then said, "I am a Karasu Tengu, but unfortunately I am here to deliver a warning. I know that the Akashiya is the type to shoot first and ask questions later, hence the illusion." before a barrier appeared around the area.
"What sort of warning is it?" Rossweisse asked.
"Lady Yasaka disappeared about ten minutes before you all arrived, and miss Kunou's wild imagination and paranoia has gone into overdrive. Her attendants will attack you on sight, but please do not kill them." the Karasu answered.
"You got it." Sky said, putting away his gun.
The barrier disappeared and then Rossweisse looked around and said, "It doesn't seem like any of the normal students realized that we simply vanished for as long as that barrier was up."
"Well that person did say Yaska is missing, pray to go- damn it" Sky held his head in pain.
"Let's just head to the hotel." Kiba spoke.
On the way to the hotel, the three of them felt a weird sensation as they passed by a Torii gate and after a minute of walking, they were back at the Torii.
"We must have been caught in a Genjutsu trap." Kiba stated.
"At least one of you has a brain." a female voice spoke before a young girl wearing the clothes of a miko with a golden tail emerged from behind a tree along with a group of three Karasu Tengu.
"Now then, give me back my mother, you evil people!" the girl shouted before the Tengu with her began to attack.
"Umm little lady, we didn't take your mother, but would like to help you find her." Sky said, tipping his hat, making her blush a little.
"Oh dear... guards, stop attacking them!" the girl ordered.
The Karasu immediately stopped attacking and said, "As you wish, miss Kunou."
"Sorry about that." Kunou said.
"Hey it's alright, and what I said is true, we'll help you find your mother." Sky said.
A shift in the air occurred and then Kunou replied, "I have removed the Genjutsu trap that ensnared you. Be careful though: the people who kidnapped my mother are not from Japan."
"Don't worry we'll find her, or by Satan I'll make sure it's my sole mission to find her." Sky said, earning a hug from Kunou.
"That was unexpected." Issei said.
"Yeah. Kiyome-sempai sent Issei and I to look for you after we realized that you along with Kiba and Rossweisse-sensei were not at the hotel." Murayama spoke.
"Sorry about that Murayama." Sky said. "Me and Kiba were helping out Kunou here."
"I see. Mind filling me in on what happened?" Issei spoke.
Sky explains everything to the others while Kunou was behind Sky.
"Damn, looks like we won't be relaxing for the entirety of this trip to Kyoto." Issei stated
"Yep." Sky said.
A few minutes later in the hotel lobby
"Okay, so everyone knows where your rooms are? Yes? Good. Here are your room keys." Rossweisse stated as she gave the students their room keys.
Everyone went to their respective rooms and while Sky was laying down a bit.
"Her mother was taken...why?"
A knock was heard before Rossweisse asked, "Can you please let me in?"
Sky gets up and goes to open the door. "Oh hello Miss Rossweisse."
"Thank you." Rossweisse replied as she came in and closes the door after her. She then asked, "I take it that you're wondering why someone kidnapped little Kunou's mother, Sky-Kun? Issei-san filled me in on what is going on here."
"Yea, reminds me of the time Mettallus kidnapped my mother and gave her cancer..." Sky said, tearing up.
"I do apologize for inadvertently bringing up bad memories. I find myself wondering why too, but I have a feeling that something very fishy is going down here in Kyoto." Rossweisse spoke.
"Could be the Khoas Brigade...I have a feeling they need her powers for something." Sky stated.
"Oh boy... If the Khaos Brigade are involved, we can use special summoning circles to bring in the proverbial big guns." Rossweisse replied as she brought out two flyers, one showing the Leviathan crest and the other one showing the Lucifer crest.
"I was about to bring out mine..." Sky said almost pulling out a fat man.
"Yeah, about that..."Rossweisse started but then a communication circle appeared in front of her and someone began to speak to her on the other end of it.
"Yes? Mmm Hmmm... Okay." Rossweisse replied before the circle vanished.
"Okay, I just got notified that you can't use your nukes here, Sky. The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still huge open cultural wounds."
"Ooooohhhh, my mistake." Sky said, putting his fat man back.
"Now where do we look first?" He said.
"Supernatural Kyoto is in a separate space from the regular town, and Kunou's mother was nabbed in the Supernatural city according to whoever spoke to me through that circle. If we restrict our search to Supernatural Kyoto, we should be able to find her." Rossweisse replied.
"Agree, I'll take a look in a section and don't tell Sona I have a surprise date for her.' Sky said leaving.
Meanwhile in Issei's Room
Issei was blushing heavily. As it so happened, Kiyome was rooming with him and at the moment, she was just in her underwear.
"Say... would you like to engage in a bit of lovemaking with me, Issei-kun?" Kiyome asked in a flirty tone before she turned around and began to shake her ass at him.
"If you want me ro Kiyome~" he kissed her neck making her moan then there was a knock on the door. "Issei? Are you in there? If your making love on there with Kiyome, I want to join~"
Issei walked over to the door and opened it to reveal Aika standing there, clad in only a thin Yukata that, by how it clung to her body, Issei knew that she was not wearing underwear with it. "Sure thing, Aika-chan." Issei replied.
As she came in and Issei closed the door after her, Aika removed her Yukata and also began to shake her ass at the brown-haired young man.
"This is gonna be a long good night" issei said grabbing both girls and carrying them to the bed.
With Rias and Sky.
"Thank you for accompanying me Sky, with Issei making love to Aika and Kiyome, I'm glad I'm with you as a brother." Rias said.
"Of course and I'm always happy to accompany friends who I treat like family, and I'm surprised your head Queen of his harem to be honest." Sky replied.
"Issei defeated Riser to break off my engagement to him, which was when I first truly started to fall for my pawn. I merely thought of him as a cute peerage member when I first reincarnated him, albeit one with a lot of potential." Rias replied.
"That's sweet, and I can't believe about planned marriages..." Sky said. "Glad that's not gonna happen to me since I'm gonna marry Sona and Ravel one day.
"Yeah, that's Devil aristocracy for you. It was mostly my own father and Riser who wanted that marriage to happen before Issei broke it off, with my mother being neutral about it. Sirzechs could not interfere since he's a Maou and not part of the Gremory family anymore." Rias spoke
"Wait, since he's the leader of hell...can't he just break it off? I mean he's literally the most important Maou, am I wrong?" Sky asked, making Rias think a bit.
"If he had done that, it would have sparked a civil war. The Devil race survived one that broke out shortly after the Great War ended, but that left us on the verge of extinction. Several Devil families actually went extinct outright because of how vicious the fighting was in that civil war. Even with the invention of the Evil Piece system, a second civil war would negate any population increases and lead to even more Devil families going extinct." Rias sourly answered.
"Jeez, I mean C'mon a civil war? It's already bad enough with the Koas Brigade, but civil war over a wedding?!" Sky exclaimed.
"Sirzechs generally would do anything to ensure that I was happy, even if it meant the Great War breaking out again. I can imagine that Serafall would have done the same for Sona." Rias replied.
"Yea, family is important in one's life." Sky said.
"Thank you for walking with me Sky." Rias said.
"Anytime." Sky replied.

Nijou Castle, alternate space
"Ok, first you kidnap a mother now this shit!?" Sky said, pissed off.
"Calm down, Sky. If you get too worked up, Cao Cao will easily defeat you. We also need a plan to get through this." Issei stated.
"What short of insanity ish going on?" Rossweisse slurred in a drunken manner.
"Ou nothing Rossweisse just thinking of a plan to stop Cao Cao...it's embarrassing Snappy isn't here..." Sky said wanting comfort from the Deathclaw.
"Georg is the real problem... all this mist in the area has to be his doing." Irina spat out.
"Correct angel, now once we deal with you, we'l-" Georg was interrupted by a roar.
"I know that roar." Kiba said.
Georg was sent flying at Issei, who proceeded to nail him in the balls with his Boosted Gear-covered fist. He comically whimpered as he crumpled to the ground.
"Oh you guys are fucked." Gasper said surprising everyone at what he just said.
A large beast appears behind Cao Cao and bites his head straight off eating it afterwards then burning blood on Cao Caos allies.
A flask of liquid was broken on the body and then Cao Cao's head regenerated while the one in Snappy's body turned to ash. "Well, aren't you a spoilsport. Good thing Heracles, as much of a meathead as he is, had the decency to acquire a bottle of Phoenix Tears. Now then... Snake Time!"
"Oh shit!" Sky said preparing for the worst until nothing happens. "Uhhh..." 'hope the plan works.'
"Umm Cao Cao where's your snakes?" Hercules asked.
"I confiscated them." a voice said before a woman with black hair wearing a gothic lolita dress appeared.
"Shit." Jeanne swore.
"Ummm who's that?" Sky asked playing dumb.
"T-Thats Ophis." Kiba spoke in fear.
"Ophis why you traitorous bitch! Why did you take my snakes?!" Cao Cao yelled.
"I did so, because I know your just using me for them and not get my home from baka-red." Ophis said.
"This is just a waste of time now. We're outta here." Jeanne and the other female members of the Hero Faction spoke before they deployed smoke bombs to conceal their escape along with Heracles.
(By the way, Heracles is the original hero. Hercules is his Roman counterpart.)
"Hehe...heheh...HAHAHAHAHA!" Sky was laughing his ass off on what happened confusing everyone except Ophis.
"The planned worked now Sky remember you promised hugs, treats and more." Ophis said emotionless going to him standing by his side making him chuckle.
"Oh yes. Let's go get those treats." Sky replied.
Meanwhile with Saji
"Damn, this is nuts." Saji swore as he dodged an attack from a berserking Yasaka. He then thought, 'How the hell am I going to tame her?! At this rate, she won't be able to take part in negotiations!'
"Need a hand?" a voice asked.
Saji turned to see Sun Wukong standing there and replied, "I would appreciate it, Sun Wukong."
"Anytime, after all seeing how the Violet Dragon Emperor tamed Ophis might as well join the right side." Sun Wukong said shocking Saji.
"WHAT?!" He exclaimed.
"Ah, I guess nobody told you that I infiltrated the Khaos Brigade. In truth, my loyalty has always been to the Buddhas. They ordered me to infiltrate the Brigade as a sleeper agent and once this mess is cleaned up, I'll share the intel that I've gathered with your leaders." Sun Wukong spoke.
"Alright, and Sky better explain how he got Ophis on our side." Saji said.
Later:
"So how do you know my Fiancé Ophis?" Sona asked.
"Well honey it was before the trip." Sky said.
Flashback.
Sky was taking a shower and getting how drying off then putting on his normal attire then feeling a dragon's presence.
"Ok if you're going to sneak up in someone at least wait till their done taking a shower." Sky said Turing around seeing a little gothic girl. "Also hello I'm Sky Akashiya and you are?"
"Ophis." The girl spoke without any emotion in her voice.
"Ophis eh? Well it's a pleasure little lady." Sky said tipping his hat.
"Your presence." Ophis said.
"Excuse me?" Sky asked.
"I never felt your presence until a few months ago." She said.
"That's because for a long time, I lived somewhere where you cannot feel my presence." Sky replied.
"I see and why do you help others despite what they are?" She asked.
"Because my mother taught me to help others and be there for them." Sky said. "Also I heard you, your leader of the Khaos Brigade right?"
"Only because they said that they can help kick Baka Red out of my home." Ophis replied.
"For what?" Sky asked.
"For peace and quiet." She said,
"Well that's stupid, don't get me wrong that's sounds good and all but there's more to stuff the quiet." Sky said.
"Are you sure that there's something even better?" Ophis asked with a puzzled look on her face.
"I promise and I have a gut feeling your so-called soldiers are using you." Sky said, making her think."I promise and I have a gut feeling your so-called soldiers are using you." Sky said, making her think.
Ophis finished thinking after a few minutes and then said, "Fine then. Let's make a deal."
End Flashback.
"So afterwards it was true about them using Ophis and the Deal was she can live with me as my little sister who is literally a dragon god." Sky said.
Sona sighed and then said, "Well, living with her is gonna be interesting."
"And to be honest Sky always wanted a sister Sona." Akeno said.
"Akeno!? How did... wait, you used a teleport circle to get here just like I did, didn't you?" Sona asked.
"Maybe~" Akeno said.
"This was one hell of a trip." Sky said.
"Indeed." Akeno stated.
