Chapter 7

Greil met Ashnard at the top of the castle. However, when Ashnard showed Greil a key, Greil wondered if it was the key to the cage of the Golden Swan and Golden Fiddle. Ashnard answered, saying that it was in fact that very key.

"How about you throw that key to me." Greil suggested.

"NEVER!" Ashnard exclaimed. Arthur Pendragon later showed up to help Greil while the Goldoan Dragon King Dheginsea showed up to help King Ashnard.

"So, we both show up at the same time, huh, Pendragon?" asked Dheginsea.

"Unbelievable, Dheginsea." Arthur said.

"Then you and Greil shall die by the Black Breath of the Dragon King himself, which is me!" the Dragon King Dheginsea said. He later transformed into his giant Black Dragon state.

"Huh…" said Meliodas. "This was taken a bit too far."

"Come on!" the pig Hawk said. And so, half of the Seven Deadly Sins and the Greil Mercenaries charged forth to the castle to assist Greil and Arthur Pendragon.

"Well, what have we here?" asked Ashnard. "More help, I suppose?"

"Listen, this right here… needs to stop." said King of the Seven Deadly Sins.

"King's got a point, Ashnard." said Ike. "Now you either flee, or face extreme consequences." A lion's roar was soon heard in the distance.

"Now how shameful is this… the king of Gallia…" Ashnard said.

"It probably means get the hell outta here before you actually face the consequences." Meliodas said. Dheginsea later breathed a powerful form of Goldoan Black Breath on a castle in the distance. It later collapsed in the process. The Tellius Outsiders of evil later fled for Tellius, specifically, the country of Daein.

"And never return!" Arthur Pendragon said. "Stay out!" But when Ike and Mist turned around, they were shocked. They wondered if the Golden Swan and Golden Fiddle were okay from the collapse. Greil decided to run down to the rubble and dig through to find the cage. But when he found it, the swan suffered a broken wing. That was when Elizabeth Liones and Mist combined their healing powers together to heal the Swan's broken wing. Shockingly, the swan's wing was completely healed within minutes after the healing process was completed.

"Unbelievable." said Naesala.

"I guess my Galdar could not do anything about it." said Reyson.

Meliodas sighed saying that he will return the Golden Swan and the Golden Fiddle to the Kingdom of Liones, saying that they will be kept there until their family could be found. Greil thanked Meliodas for his services to him and the people of Tellius visiting the land of Britannia. That was when Greil, his mercenaries, and the selected Laguz left for Tellius, their home continent.

When Greil returned home to his Mercenary Fort, he praised everyone in his company for doing an amazing job with exiling Ashnard back to the country of Daein. However, he wondered if Meliodas, the Dragon's Sin of Wrath and captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, ever returned the swan and fiddle of gold to their family. That was when Ike had a brilliant idea of sending the Sins a letter, asking them if they ever did the deed. Greil agreed with his son.

About a day later, Meliodas received the letter that was proudly written by Commander Greil of the Greil Mercenaries. He then decided to write back to Greil, saying that the Golden Swan and the Golden Fiddle were returned home safely to their family. Meliodas then wrote back to Greil. He wondered if he and the Greil Mercenaries, as well as their allies of Tellius, would ever cross paths again.

And that was the story about the Golden Swan and the Golden Fiddle, and how the Greil Mercenaries and the Seven Deadly Sins and also their respective allies saved them from captivity and returned them to their respective family.

Conclusion to the Story and Other Author's Notes

OK, so this probably wasn't my BEST story, but in my opinion, it was a fun story to write, as it had a bunch of fairytale, folktale, and legend-related Easter Eggs and references to make the story more enjoyable. But of course, as much as I enjoy fairytales and legends and other folklore, I really enjoyed writing this tale about the titular Golden Swan and Golden Fiddle.

Hope you really enjoyed this story!
