Author's note: My third and last of the three little teaser ficlets for the mice. In this fic, Minnie is a vampire attending a college with other creatures or monsters. And of course, she meets Mickey, who is also a vampire too. He's investigating the college because of some rumors of crazy and creepy things going on. And Minnie becomes his partner as they unravel the mystery of the campus. I may title the story that; The Campus Mystery or Mystery of Mousedale University.

Later, Minnie made her way down the hall. She hadn't stopped thinking about the new guy that just transferred. Oh, if only she hadn't been so lost in her little fantasy of him she could have caught his name. Turning a corner, she nearly bumped into the last person she'd want to see. The local campus pompous jerk, Mortimer.
"Ha cha ha, fancy running into you, doll."
Minnie rolled her eyes for what must have been the hundredth time since she unfortunately met the pest. "Don't call me doll." She sighed as she said it. She'd said it so many times now it was boring to repeat it. And she doubt he'd have listened by now. Dude seemed to have a head thicker than stone.
"Saya, doll-"
She knew he didn't listen.
"You heard about that dance that's coming up in a few weeks, right?"
She wouldn't be caught dead with him, let alone alive. Actually, she'd rather have both of her ovaries plucked out than to even be this close to him. If she had to be around him, then by all means, someone drive a stake through her heart. "Ohhh, I'll... have to see if I'm free then."
"Well, how wouldja like to go to the dance with me?" He jetted a thumb to his chest and gave a smile that made her feel like the lunch she ate earlier wanted to paint the walls.
"Like I said, I'll have to see how things go," she said, holding up a hand as she started to walk away.
He moved to the side to stop her, and her eyes narrowed, one fist gripping. He was either one wrong word or ten seconds away from becoming one with the wall. Whichever came first.
"Well, if you're on the day of the dance, just look me up." He gave a wink.
Great. She was totally planning on gagging and forsaking any food the rest of the day, as well as going to her dorm and showering in bleach. "Of course." Just then, around the taller mouse, she caught sight of the new little fella from before. Grinning, she stepped around Mortimer and headed over to the new guy.
Mortimer watched her walk away, then saw who was in her line of sight. Eyes narrowing, he huffed and skulked away.
The new guy was carrying a few things, obviously to his dorm room. Taking a deep breath, she approached him, popping around him.
"Hello!"
He stopped moving, their eyes locking again. "H-Hi!"
"You're new, right?"
"Sure am," he said, setting down the small box he had in his hands. "Just transferred here."
"Weeelll, I'm still kinda new here myself," she admitted.
"Really?" he said, his head tilting a little.
"Yep," she said with a giggle. "Buut I could show ya around, if ya like."
"G-Gosh... That'd be swell!" he said, making her giggle and smile even bigger than she already was.
She held out her hand. "Minnie. Minnie Mouse."
He reached out a hand and shook hers. "Mouse. Uhh, Mickey Mouse, heh heh."
Was it the gentle feel of his gloved hand holding hers, or the fact he had the same last name as her? She didn't know. Both sent a jolt through her brain. His touch felt gentle, warm, comforting. And the fact they had the same last name... It has to be destiny!
It took a moment for their brains to function again before they finished their extended hand shake, that had by now become a hand hold. Both chuckled nervously.
"Erm... Which way is the dorms from here?" he asked.
Minnie giggled. "I'm heading that way myself. So I could show you of you'd like," Minnie said, hands going behind her back.
"Thanks, that would be awesome!"
"You're welcome!" she said with a gleeful giggle.
As they started walking, she couldn't help but wonder if he might be a vampire like her...
