Wakko and Baloo came to a clear spot and waited. "So, you're saying a bunch of elephants is going to pass by here?", asked Wakko. "Yes, they're an army actually", said Baloo. "An army?" "Yeah, they're protecting the jungle" "Oh. Great".
Just then, they felt the ground shake beneath them. It reminded Wakko of that eartquake they had just a year before. But he didn't want to think about it, he was supposed to do an episode on that with his siblings. So, he tighly gripped Baloo's hand. "Don't worry, it's just them", said Baloo. "I...know...", Wakko feared that he could ask him. But Baloo just chuckled, "They're protecting us, you should know that". Wakko instantly felt better, knowing they weren't damaging.
"Up! 2, 3, 4. Up! 2, 3, 4.", the colonel Hatti shouted as they passed by, "Stooop!". They all screetched at the stop and the elephant turned towards the two. "Well, very good morning, Baloo. I see you've got a new friend?". "Yes, but...well, why don't I let him introduce himself?", said Baloo. Wakko stepped forward, "Hi, I'm Wakko and...I'm not an animal".
The whole crowd gasped. "What?!" "Then what is he?!" "Doesn't he have to go back to wherever he has come fron?" "Whose advice did he take?! Yours?!". "Wait!", said Baloo, "If Mowgli could survive, then Wakko surely can".
The crowd stood there, silent. "Well", said Hatti, "You have a point. Nice to meet you, Wakko!". "Nice to meet you too", said Wakko, smiling innocently. Then he spotted a little elephant at the end of the crowd and frowned. What was this guy doing here? Wasn't he supposed to be somewhere else?
"Ah, that's my son", said Hatti, seeing Wakko looking at the little elephant. "Hi!", the little guy greeted. Wakko sighed in relief, knowing there was nothing wrong with it. "Do you have parents?". Wakko shoock his head. "How old are you?", asked Hatti.
Wakko couldn't belive he asked him that. It was clear this wasn't a real jungle. "Eleven", he said. "Alright, I think we have
to go now", said Baloo, taking Wakko's hand. "Ah, yes! Thank you for reminding us!", said Hatti.
"Thanks again", said Wakko, relived. "Anytime", said Baloo, "I think you'll like the next group you're going to meet". "Group?" "You'll see, you'll see", said Baloo, smiling.
