Wakko had a great time in the jungle, just like Mowgli did all those years before. He hung out with the vultures and talked to Baloo whenever something was confusing. Baloo was very supportive, even though he barely saw Wakko due to the hangout with the vultures. Wakko hadn't told anyone the truth yet, though. Until that one February day, just in time his siblings were on their way to get him back.

"Hi Wakko!", Baloo greeted him after another hangout with the vultures. "Hey!", Wakko greeted with a big smile on his face. "What's new?", Baloo asked. And so they started talking about that day's events, until...Bagheera came.

"Look who's here!", said Baloo, "How was your day?". But Bagheera didn't listen. "Wakko", he turned to the middle Warner, "I just met Kaa and-". "Kaa?!", Baloo interrupted, "Why didn't you ignore him?". "I tried but...he told me something...very strange".

Wakko's eyes widened. It couldn't be! He couldn't be exposed. What had he done that was strange? "Did he try to eat you?", Baloo asked. "No", said Bagheera, "But he told me something about you, Wakko". Wakko gasped, "No...". "Don't worry", said Bagheera, "You just striked him, that's ok. The thing is...".

Wakko felt tears coming to his eyes. "The big annoying snake!", he said before running off. "Now, look what you've done to him!", said Baloo. "I'm sorry, but something's just really odd here!", said Bagheera. Baloo sighed, "Whatever. I gotta go". He turned to the direction Wakko ran off in and went to look for him. He found the boy curled up with his back on the three, crying.

"Hey...", Baloo said gently as he sat down next to Wakko and slipped an arm around him, "What's wrong, kid?". Wakko sniffed, "I...I d-don't wanna go b-back...". "We know", said Baloo, "You don't have to". "B-but...what if...", Wakko couldn't get it out. It was so stressful, he couldn't collect his toughts.

"Ok, listen", said Baloo, "You need to explain this to us". "I...can't...", said Wakko, not being able to calm down at that moment, "It's just...too hard". "But you have to", said Baloo, "We're worried about you. You have to let it out if you don't want to suffer from bad memories".

Wakko looked at him and just stared at that mixture of a real animal and an actual cartoon loaded with such information in pain. He couldn't bare it, he just couldn't. He couldn't stop crying as he felt the endless pain inside of him. "But...it will make no sense...no, it will...it has to do something with you...", he finaly got it out.

Baloo couldn't watch him anymore, so he just picked him up and went back. When Bagheera saw them, he frowned, "What's up with him?". Baloo sighed, "Don't know. He wouldn't stop crying, something's really wrong here". He sat Wakko down on the ground and sat next to him. Wakko was still curled up, it looked like he was about to pass out. After a while tough, he finaly calmed down.

"Ok, can you please tell us what's going on now?", asked Bagheera. Wakko sighed, "I actually come from...the men village". The two gasped, "You do?!", Bagheera asked. "But not this one", said Wakko, "Mine is very far away from here".

"Ok", said Baloo, "So, if you're not a human...there must be a third species in this world". "Yes", said Wakko, "It's called...toons". "Hm...", said Baloo, "Very strange. So, you're one of them?" "Yes", said Wakko and sighed, "But it's not nice to be one...".

"Oh", said Baloo, "You don't have to tell us why". "No...", said Wakko, "I will. It's because...we're in charge of humans. We have a lot of abilities, no parents, we're always the same, driving everyone insane, but...they want us to go against law. To be inapropriate. To...see, we understand humans a lot more than animals do. But you know what's even worse?". "What?", asked Bagheera. "If you understood what I said, that's because...you guys are one of us".

The two looked at eachother then at him. "You mean...we're not animals?!", asked Bagheera. "Yes", said Wakko, "And this jungle is not real, and you may also have abilities, and the humans are watching you and...", he sighed in relief, knowing he finaly told the truth.

"So...that's why you came here?", asked Baloo. "Yes, and...I actually don't have to survive here", said Wakko, feeling a little ashamed. "So...you could go back?", asked Bagheera. "Yes, but...I didn't want to", said Wakko. Bagheera sighed, "I knew those humans were no good. At least they're not in charge diredtly". "Yeah, that's why I wanted to stay", said Wakko. "That's ok", said Bagheera, "You can stay here for as long as you want".

"Wait, one more question", said Baloo, "Why aren't we real animals?". "Because real animals can't taik", said Wakko.
