It was a few days later that Harvey was running for election to be Mayor of New York City, Donna and Harvey were sleeping as it was 4:30 in the morning and their the kids were also asleep it's been such a busy week especially for Harvey who has started campaigning for him to become Mayor for New York, everyone liked him and as his background is being the best closer in New York and the best lawyer in the city especially being name partner for Pearson Specter Litt made it a huge bonus and the public loved him and wanted to vote for him when it came to the voting, but Harvey wanted to go over all the country to make sure that the WHOLE country wanted to know him not just a Mayor but who he was a man and a family man.
He wanted to see the public for himself and see what needed to be done when he became Mayor, he wanted to plan everything! And make the campaign as strong as possible so he knew that he could win this election, Pearson Specter Litt would be behind his back all the way especially Donna, Ella and Alex. Ella and Alex were super excited that their daddy was on TV and getting extremely popular with the public, they were telling all of their friends in school especially their teachers and they were super excited for them and Harvey too.
"Daddy why are you on TV all the time now, you never used to be?" Alex asked as he had his breakfast with Ella next to him.
"Because he's been doing good stuff for everyone Alex, and he's going to be Mayor of New York." Ella poked her tongue out at her brother who had his eyes wide and looked at his dad.
"Ella don't be nasty to your brother I don't like that tone in this house please, and no I am not Mayor yet it's down to the whole country if I'll be Mayor or not." As Harvey drank his coffee as Donna came from the master bedroom all dressed for the day in a beautiful lilac Victoria Beckham dress with Christian Dior shoes and Dior earrings as Harvey looked at her in shock as his wife was so stunning.
"What? What are you looking at?" As Donna was looking around the condo to see what was going on, she kissed the kids on the head and then got a coffee mug and poured herself some coffee.
"You...you just look out of this world that's all." As Harvey went to kiss Donna on neck as Donna closed her eyes, as she loved Harvey's kisses, he was just so gentle towards her.
"Ewwwww! Why are you doing that it's disgusting?" Ella went over to her parents and tried to tare them apart as she frowned as was so upset her face said it all and was about to cry.
"Come here honey, don't be upset." As Harvey lifted up Ella who was crying her eyes out and Donna stroked her cheek as Harvey smiled at her.
"I don't want to go to school, I want to stay with daddy today." Ella sniffed as she cuddled with Harvey and never wanted to let go of her daddy.
"Why is Ella crying? Is she sad?" Alex asked as he was finishing up his breakfast of coco pops that Donna gave half an hour prior.
"Yeah honey Ella is a little upset this morning, but she's going to be okay baby boy and your so brave that your keeping a brave face on." Donna went over to her son and gave him a kiss on his head as he smiled.
"Everything is going okay, daddy is going to work with mommy and he is going to work on the election as well as doing his lawyer work okay?" Harvey explained to his kids as they both nodded Ella wiped her face to take away the tears as Harvey put her down as he kissed her nose to cheer her up.
"But no photographers daddy? Like there was yesterday?" Ella looked up at her dad as Harvey smiled at her and stroked her head.
"I don't know sweetheart, most probably but you'll have to have to ignore them baby okay?" As Ella nodded and went back to her seat at the breakfast bar to continue eating her breakfast before going to school.
"I don't like the photographs either but I always stick my tongue at them because they are so annoying." Alex said as he smiled as Harvey laughed at his son who laughed with him.
"You do not? I hope you don't because that's naughty Al, no you don't?" Harvey laughed as Alex nodded laughing and Donna smiled at her boys.
"Yeah I do because they are not meant to be taking photos of us daddy." Ella cheered up as she finished her breakfast and smiled at her brother.
"I always make sure I don't have my picture taken because I always run in to school." Ella said proudly.
"Okay kiddies, let's get your backpacks Ray is waiting downstairs for us let's go and rock and roll!" Harvey announced as he and Donna got ready to go out the door to go to school and work for the day and it was going to be a very busy day.
After Donna and Harvey dropped the kids off at school, Ray took them to the firm to continue with the election with Jessica and the City Council was due to come in to have a meeting with Harvey and the senior partners about the election for Harvey's position for Mayor, in a couple of hours Jessica and Louis had to prepare Harvey to make sure that he was making the right decision and be confident in front of the City Council to make sure that he had them on his side to make sure that he was the right person to be Mayor of New York City, not only was it an interview he was being vetted too but Harvey didn't know that because they didn't want him to be nervous, like he already is.
Donna knew that the vetting was going on because Jessica told her a few days prior, and was n't allowed to tell Harvey anything! Being COO Donna had to make sure that Harvey's schedule and calendar was clear for most of the day and not to have any clients and to make sure that Gretchen was on hand to take important calls that was going to come in and take messages as he was going to be in the meeting with the City Council, Jessica and Louis for a couple of hours. Donna was excited yet but nervous for him as it was make or break for Harvey to see if he was up for election, she had butterflies in her stomach and she was feeling sick thats why she couldn't eat breakfast that morning and with the kids a bit upset that morning it was putting Donna down a bit.
"Are you okay? You seem a bit nervous." Harvey came into Donna's office and sat in front of her as he sat in a chair at her desk as she was typing a document.
"No. no I'm fine I am busy why? What's the matter?" Donna asked as she folded down her laptop.
"You didn't tell me that the City Council was coming into vet me today it was on my calendar." As he wanted a last minute truth out of Donna.
"Well, I didn't know how to tell you and I thought Jessica told you the other day?" Donna stood up from her desk and made her way to Harvey and sat on her desk.
"Donna she didn't tell me anything about this meeting, I had to find out when I looked on my calendar this morning, then I barged into her office when she was on the phone to Darby in London and then I got the truth out of her." As Harvey sighed as she pinched his nose as Donna comforted him and kissed his head and stroked his neck.
"Everything will be alright babe, you'll kick their asses because your the best closer and lawyer and I know you'll be the Mayor that New York has ever seen go and get them babe, I am behind you and so is Jessica and Louis I am telling you." Donna kissed Harvey as he smiled back into the kiss as he received such confidence from his wife because she was Donna.
"And the the kids will be rooting for me too." Harvey smiled back.
"Exactly and you know why I know that too? Because I am Donna." As Harvey left Donna's office to go to the vetting as Donna smiled to go back to work and got the can opener out as a good luck charm.
