Chapter 5

(TARA'S P.O.V)

I stood in a daze staring at Mario, as Sookie and Barry found me and untied the rope Franklin had tied me up with. I had just witnessed Mario use Eric's blood to give him a boost in strength, to kick Franklin's ass. Witnessing all this made me realize if I hadn't already:Mario was my knight and shiny armor. My heart fluttered with gratitude, knowing that he genuinely cared about me. At this very moment I was feeling mixed emotions of happiness, and relief. As Mario slowly stood up and turned to face me, I realized just as I was protective of my best friend Sookie, Lafayette and others of Bon Temp, I needed to also look out for Mario. "Barry," Bill suddenly said, turning to him. "If you ever learn who is behind sending Franklin tonight, wherever you are, you need to let us know as soon as possible." Bill explained. "Sure no problem," Barry replied. "Bon Temp would love to get even…" Bill stated.

Each played a role that helped me become a better person, while understanding their individual perspective on life. Barry suddenly stopped at the top of the stairs, and I did as well. "Thanks again for all your help Sookie," Barry turned to me and smiled. "I couldn't have done this without you." "You're welcome." I smiled back, noticing the sun rising in the distance. "I'm done dealing with the wrong type of vampires. I'm only gonna deal with the ones that are noble like Bill and Eric." "Good to hear," I smiled, giving him a goodbye hug. 'Be safe,' I told him telepathically while we embraced. 'And remember you will always have allies here in Bon Temp.' 'Thank you.' Barry answered telepathically as well. I lean against the wooden pillar of my home, as I watched Barry saunter out my yard and out of sight,
